Open with a focus on the full moon late one night. The moon is glowing bright with a ring around it. We pan down to the roof of the centre. Eve is standing on the roof looking out on the city. She is standing in her pajamas and a robe. She wraps her arms around herself as the wind blows her hair around her. She shivers as a worried look appears on her face. She looks up at the moon

Eve - (voice over commentary) A ring around the moon. It's a bad omen but my dreams haven given me far darker signs of the coming evil. The last time my dreams were this bad, my brother was calling for my help, the underworld was at war. Now all I see is people living in fear and pain. I don’t know who they are, or who they fear. But I have a feeling that Thuvan will be behind it all and I don't know how to stop it.

Fade in to a dark lair lit only by torches. Thuvan, still in Craig's body sits in a throne like chair. He is contemplating something. He hears a demon come up by his side. The demon is draped in dark robes.

Thuvan - I must know, can it be done?

Demon Monk – Taking a soul from its after life? That's risky enough. But to meld that soul with another while the body is still alive? The connection of soul and body must be severed for another soul to gain control. As it is there is a very narrow window of opportunity where that can be achieved. It will be difficult.

Thuvan - I DID NOT ASK IF IT WOULD BE DIFFICULT!!(calms down) I asked if it could be done

Demon Monk - It can.

Thuvan - Then bring me that which I need to do so

Demon Monk - But we're not allowed to. . .

Thuvan cuts him off by grabbing his throat

Thuvan - Listen to me, you filthy demon . . . I don't care! I want the . . .

Lucifer (voice) - THUVAN!!

Lucifer steps out of the shadows.

Lucifer - Remember which Demon got you that body you are so comfortably sitting in. I have given you my countenance but you are pushing it! I broke laws older than time for you and you have done nothing to defeat the Messenger. My resources are growing thin now, as is my patience. I can't help you anymore. I have to wash my hands of you or risk getting caught. Believe me when I say there are worse things than my wrath.

Thuvan - (lets go of the demon and pushes him aside) All I need is the spell and relics for the ceremony. With it I can take Eve's friends away from her and make her turn to darkness with anger and hate. You will be able to break free and spill your realm onto earth when it is done

Lucifer - I warn you Thuvan; do not underestimate the Messenger.

Thuvan - Just get me the spell. I'll do the rest. It will cause The Messenger's destruction

Lucifer walks back into the darkness and Thuvan pulls out a picture of Alex the one he tore off from the picture of her with Eve and Craig.

Thuvan - Soon we will be together my love.

Cut to the centre. It's ten o clock the next day. The centre is booming with people. Alex is at cash signing new memberships and taking in cash and the girl next to her, Kelly is making smoothies that seem to be in popular demand by the costumers.

Alex - (while signing a new membership leans over to Kelly) Where the hell is Eve?

Kelly - I don't know! She wasn't here when I opened up this morning. I think she might still be sleeping.

Alex - Sleeping in again? This is unlike her. (spots a guy pouring himself a drink from the blender on the bar) HEY HEY HEY! No free refills!

Kelly runs over and grabs the blender out of the guy's hands. Alex turns around just as Eve comes out of the backroom. She's in baggy sweat pants and a baggy t shirt. Her hair is frizzy and un-brushed and she had visible dark bags under her eyes. Alex's eyes pop open at the sight of her. Alex rushes over to Eve

Alex - Hey, are you alright?

Eve - No! Every time I close my eyes I see horrible things. It scares me Alex!

Alex - Calm down. Just go back upstairs try and relax

Eve - But you're so busy. It doesn't matter how bad I look not if I can help

Kelly runs up to Alex

Kelly - Alex I can't keep track of the people coming in here (looks as Eve with a little bit of disgust. She doesn't recognize her) Ewe. (walks off)

Eve drops her mouth open in offense and makes a move to go over and set Kelly straight but Alex holds her back

Alex - Okay, Eve you are no good to anyone in this condition. Go upstairs, take a shower, take a nap, maybe even just brush your hair. It doesn't really matter, just chill out!

Eve sighs and nods. Alex gives her a little pat on the back and a little push into the backroom for Eve to go back upstairs.

Cut to later in the day in Eve's apartment. Eve has changed into jeans and a little red Chinese style top with white embroidered flowers on it. Her hair is now brushed back into a sleek ponytail. Eve is kneeling in front of her Eli shrine. She seems to be praying. There is a knock at her door but Eve doesn't move to answer it. The door opens slightly and Alex pokes her head in.

Alex - Knock Knock?

Eve shakes her head and comes out of her trance like state and looks to Alex

Eve - Hey. Sorry, come on in.

Alex - Jeff's here too.

Alex walks in with Jeff behind her. Eve gets up and walks over to sit on the couch. Alex sits beside her and Jeff sits across from Eve on the coffee table.

Eve - What's going on?

Alex - That's what we'd like to know. You haven't been sleeping, you're on edge and you've been out of it for days.

Eve - I do sleep, just not well. Every time I close my eyes I see blood and terror. Its more than just dreams. I feel apart of it.

Alex – Are you having premonitions?

Eve – Maybe but I don't know of what. Its sheer violence and terror. I know its meant to warn me and I've been trying to meditate on it but. . .

Alex - Do you think it has anything to do with Thuvan?

Eve – That’s the only thing I’m sure of.

Jeff - What if you could find out?

Eve - What do you mean?

Alex - Jeff and I have been talking and if Thuvan is going to try something, we want to be ready for him.

Jeff - I've been talking to my sister. She's a psychic. She said there is a way to find out what Thuvan is doing. We have to get inside his head.

Eve - You told your sister about this?

Alex - I was skeptical too but apparently she's known about this for some time

Jeff - She came to me.

Alex – She wants to do a . . . what did you call it? Mind tap?

Eve - Sounds dangerous.

Jeff - I don't know a lot about this sort of thing. Look, if it's too risky we won't do it but we can find out what it involves first.

Alex - At least we can find out what your dreams or . . . or visions mean. We have to start somewhere.

Eve - (nods) I want to get to the bottom of this. The large monsters, the beasts that attacked weeks ago, Thuvan trying to get to Alex through Aidan. I know Thuvan is trying to enact revenge on me but its too episodic. It must be leading up to something more. If searching his mind is going to help get answers, then let's do it.

Jeff - Natalie has already set up an appointment for us. We're going to meet her at six

Eve - Appointment?

Jeff - She's a full-time psychic. What can I say, she's a busy lady.

Fade out of Eve's apartment and fade into an apartment building hall. At the end of the hall the elevator doors open with a ding and out step Eve Alex and Jeff. They make their way forward and stop in front of a door with beads hanging in front of it.

Alex - This is your sister's place?

Jeff - Yeah. She has my parent's sense of style

Jeff lifts his hand to knock on the door but it opens before he has a chance. Out steps a lovely young dark-skinned woman with short cropped hair.

Natalie - Hello Jeffery

Jeff - Let me guess? You foresaw us coming?

Natalie - No, I heard you out side my door. Come on in (turns around and walks inside)

Alex - (smiles impressed) I like her.

Alex and Eve follow Natalie inside. Jeff just rolls his eyes before following suit.

Cut to inside Natalie's apartment. The apartment is decorated in beads and colourful fabrics. In the center of the main room is a table set low to the ground. On top lays candles and incense. There are colourful pillows surrounding the table. James is sitting cross legged on one of them he looks like he's meditating

Eve - James?

James - (opens his eyes in shock and stands up quickly) Eve!

Jeff – What are you doing here?

Natalie – James is a student of mine? Didn’t I mention it?

Jeff - NO!

Natalie – Huh? Must have slipped my mind

James – (tries to explain) This is the woman I was telling you about. The one I thought might be able to help get Craig back.

Alex - You had a plan to get Craig back and you didn't tell us!

Eve - He didn't want to get our hopes up in case whatever he was planning didn't work.

James - We were trying to see if we could get inside Thuvan’s head. I don’t have enough power.

Natalie - You’re incredibly gifted James you just don’t have the right kind of power to do a mind search. What James and I have been able to find out is that Thuvan is the dominant spirit and has nearly complete control over Craig's body and possibly his soul as well.

Alex – Do you know how he jammed his soul into the body of my friend?

Natalie - Thuvan combined his soul with Craig’s. He had to have made sure the connection between Craig’s soul and his own body was severed so when the melded souls re-inhabited Craig’s body Thuvan was able take control.

Jeff - It could've been me but Craig saved my life.

Alex – We’re talking about souls! Good souls go to Heaven. That's like divine law. How is Thuvan able to do this?

Natalie - He must have some powerful forces on his side. A damned soul let alone a demon can't break divine law.

Eve - Lucifer can.

James - I tried to get to Thuvan but even with Natalie helping me we weren't strong enough.

Eve - I don't understand. Do you think I can?

Natalie - Eve, you are the only one with a clear and true imprint of Thuvan's energy. I can help you enter the Expanse to help you find where his energy is. His mind is vulnerable in the Expanse because there, its just energy. You can enter his thoughts there.

Eve – I don’t know if I can do something like that. I don't have the powers you do

Natalie - Yes you do! You have the gift of sight. You have been given the gift to help you in your mission. It will grow and develop. Right now, your sight is no more than the dreams you've been having. Warnings of what will happen to souls if you can not prevent Thuvan's evil. If we combine our powers together we'll be strong enough to get to Thuvan

Alex - What if Thuvan can sense what's going on in his mind while Eve's still in there

Natalie - There is risk. I won't make you do anything you don't want to do.

Eve – We have to try. I have to figure out a way to stop Thuvan before he hurts any one else and find a way to free Craig. What do we need to do?

COMMERCIAL

Cut to Natalie's apartment. It is dark inside the apartment. The only thing that sheds some light is a few candles spread in a few key places. Over on a mantel piece incense is burning. The table and pillows have been moved from the room and now Eve Natalie and James are in the middle. Eve and Natalie sit across from each other and James is to their side. Alex and Jeff are sitting on the couch out of the way. Natalie looks to them.

Natalie - Now remember, at no time do you break our search. If you jostle either me or Eve out of our trance while our powers are linked it could cause severe damage for both of us. James will be the only one who will be conscious in both worlds, this one and the world of the mind. If there is a problem tell James first. He will tell Eve to break the connection. Do you understand?

Jeff and Alex nod and remain quiet. Natalie turns back to Eve

Natalie - Are you ready?

Eve - Yes

James first places his hands on the side of both Natalie's and Eve's face, his fingers touching key points on their faces. His closes his eyes concentrating. Natalie then puts her hands to Eve’s face. her fingers touching the corner of her eyes, her temples and under her chin.

Natalie - Together we’re not just spanning across the city, we’re sifting though the souls of thousands to the one man who possesses two souls.

Eve's eyes open wide and she gasps.

From her perspective we see blue and white lights speed towards and past us and around us like we are traveling through a tunnel. We get closer to the light at then end of it. The end of the tunnel emits a great white flash

INSIDE THUVAN'S MIND

There is only blackness. Eve walks into our line of vision. She looks all around her. James come up behind her. Eve spins around and comes face to face with James

Eve – Where are we?

James - (smiles a little) This is just the outer rims of Thuvan's mind. Just walk forward and you will enter his thoughts.

Eve - Where's Natalie?

James - She's apart of you now. All of her power, strength and psychic ability will enhance your sight and make you strong enough to make this trip.

Eve nods and turns around.

James - Eve, wait! (takes a deep breath and let's it out in a sigh and steps in front of her) Eve when you go in there you will enter a realm of memories and thoughts. Some will be Thuvan's and some will be Craig's. Remember they are only images. There is nothing you can do to change them. What you can do is figure out what the images represent. You may be able to figure out what Thuvan intends to do. Do not communicate or interact. If you stay away you will only be processed as another image. If you get involved Thuvan will know of your presence. He will bring up all his defenses.

Eve - I understand

James - (Nods) Then let's go

Eve and James walk into the dark until they are out of sight.

Cut to an odd-looking setting. James and Eve comes in our line of view. The place they are looking over looks like plains of ancient Greece and fields from Gaul. It all looks unspoiled and natural except for one thing. There is a street coming down from the mountains. In the mountain there are what seems to what look like suburban houses. Street lights light up the road and at the top of the mountain the Statue of Liberty peeks out on top.

Eve - What in the world?

James - We are not in the world that you know Eve. These images represent everything in Thuvan's and Craig's life.

Eve - But I recognize these plains. This is from Gaul.

James - An image from Thuvan's life, his home. Those houses and the Statue of Liberty represent Craig's life, Craig's home in New York. They've melded here together as one.

The ground shakes a little and James and Eve have to steady themselves. They look up to the mountain and see the Statue of Liberty sinking lower into the mountain.

James - Craig must be getting weaker.

Eve - Maybe if we go up to those houses we'll find some answers.

James nods and they begin to walk down the road. As the walk along the road they pass scenes and images. From far away they are transparent but as they get closer the images become more solid and in focus. On both sides of the roads they see mothers giving birth, families being formed and birthdays being had. On the left side however, the scenes seem to be faded and as the scene finishes the images fade away completely while the images on the right-hand side of the road remain solid.

Eve stops when she comes across two children playing on the right-hand side of the road. She smiles as she watches them play in the field. A dark-haired boy is playing with a little blond-haired girl. They are play fighting with little wooden swords. James and Eve can hear what they are saying.

Leah - I am Najara, Warrior of the Light and you are The Protector of the Warrior sent by the Djinn!

Thuvan - Together we will smite the darkness in the name of the light!

Sasha - (comes running up to them) What are you two doing?

Leah - I'm Najara, mother!

She grabs the swords from the children's hands and throws them away

Sasha - Stop talking like that!! Both of you!! Najara is a murderer! Is that what you want to become?!

James - It's a memory and a key point in Thuvan's life.

Eve - He admired the Crusader Najara?

James - He found something to believe in. It set him on a path.

Eve shakes her head and continue walking. Eve looks to her left and stops. She sees and old woman in a rocking chair with a brown-haired boy of about five in her lap. She is telling him a story

Old woman - And Xena prayed to Eli to save her daughter. Xena looked to her daughter with tears in her eyes and told Livia that she loved her. At that moment a great light came from the sky and Livia was flooded with love. She felt the love of Xena and the divine love of Eli and was saved. She was Eve again.

Boy - (in awe) Wow!

Old woman - So you see Craig you have to believe in the power of love. Every living thing can be saved by love. People like Eve gave us hope.

Craig - I want to be like that Grandma! I want to help people.

Grandma - And you will Craig. You can be anything and anyone you want to be. Just follow your heart

Pan back over to Eve as she watches with a smile on her face and tears in her eyes as she sees the younger form of Craig hug his grandmother and the image fades.

James - We're the road of life. There are images and key points from both Craig and Thuvan's life here.

Eve - Do you think that at these key moments, if Thuvan or Craig had made a different choice, like to believe on not believe in these role models, would they be different people?

James – I can't say for sure. (looks to the mountain where the houses lay) We should keep moving.

Eve and James walks along the road and watch as a teenage Thuvan looks for his sister Leah, who had just been killed by Romans. One the other side of the road a young Craig watches his brother Chris abandon his family for the dark arts.

Eve - Both lost siblings to forces they couldn't control

Eve sighs as they continue walking. In the distance Eve sees a group of people and as she walks closer their images become clearer. It is Thuvan, the version that Eve remembers from her past. The dark-haired woman beside him is Fraysa. They are surrounded by happy looking men who look like they are sailors

Man - May the gods bless this union and may you honour and love one another for all the days of your lives

Thuvan - We are truly blessed and this union was meant to be. Iridan has foretold it.

Captain - Then kiss the bride!

Thuvan and Fraysa embrace and kiss passionately as the sailors around them cheer.

Eve smiles at this.

Eve - He was so happy there.

James - He mentioned Iridan?

Eve - Thuvan followed the prophesies of Iridan. Alex did some research and had found no evidence of anyone named Iridan. Maybe Iridan was just a voice in Thuvan's head . . . like Najara heard the Djinn.

James - Thuvan used to kill, thinking he was justified. It looks like he molded himself after Najara in more ways then one. He just found his own kind of Djinn. But Najara could see into others souls, she knew things about people without being told. What if her powers were real? Do you really think she was insane?

Eve - My mother once said that sanity was just a veil the Gods throw over our eyes to prevent us from seeing the truth. People who are unstable can see past that veil, see the truth in things that would seem hidden to most because their minds are not bound by convention or reason. Najara couldn't have understood what was happening to her and found an explanation that made sense, that would explain the voices. She believed in it so much that she clung to it and it manifested into zealotry. But people who have no reason or self control change quickly, they're erratic, unpredictable and can even become violent when their ideas or beliefs are tested or countered.

James - Psych 101. I guess you learned something from those college courses you were taking.

Eve - The same conventions that prevent people from seeing hidden truths also prevent them from causing mayhem. We live our lives by rules spoken and unspoken. People like Najara have only their own rules. That's what makes them dangerous, that's what made Najara dangerous.

James - And Thuvan?

Eve - He's driven by more than voices.

James and Eve hear laughing. They look to their left and see Craig and Alex walking together laughing. Alex is in a pink gown and Craig is in a tux. Alex is holding a bottle of liquor. She takes a swig.

Craig - (laughing) Maybe we should have stayed around for the end of the prom.

Alex - And be bored out of my mind? I don't think so (takes another swig)

Craig - Hey! Don't hog the boos (grabs the bottle from Alex and takes a big gulp)

Alex - Besides I'm having too much fun with you

Craig gives Alex a wink and continues to guzzle down the content of the bottle until he finishes. Alex frowns at this

Alex - Don't ever leave me. Okay Craig.

Craig - (throws the bottle over his shoulder) I promise

Craig then grabs Alex and pulls her toward him and presses a hard kiss to her lips.

Eve's eyes pop open.

Eve - Alex never told me about that!!

James - They're drunk. She probably doesn't even remember.

Eve - Craig did.

Suddenly two Roman soldiers come and grab Craig away from Alex. The image of Alex fades as Craig is dragged off kicking and screaming by the soldiers

Eve - That can't be part of his memory

James looks toward the houses in the mountains. Eve and James are getting closer

James - It seems the closer we get to Craig's part of the psyche, Thuvan is finding more ways to weaken Craig and make himself more dominant.

Eve makes a move to try and catch up with the soldiers dragging away Craig

Male voice - LIVIAAAAAA!!!!!!!

Eve stops dead in her tracks at the scream. She turns around and she sees herself as Livia walk past. Eve gasps in shock. Eve watches on as Livia talks to Thuvan being held down by guards

Livia - Bring them out!

The guards bring out a woman, two young women and two boys who are struggling against the guards’ grip.

Thuvan - (in fright) Fraysa!!

Livia - That's right your dear wife Fraysa and your four beautiful children. We brought them out of hiding.

Thuvan - NO!! (struggles to get free but two roman soldiers hold him down)

Livia - (stands in front of him and backhands him in the face) You will pay for your treason against Rome. (turns to the guards) Do what you want but make sure they suffer. Make Thuvan watch it all and then kill him. (turns back to Thuvan) Face it Thuvan you've been forsaken.

Livia just walks off leaving Thuvan and his family screaming

Thuvan is tied to a pole. The two boys are dragged off crying and the two young girls are screaming and crying. Fraysa is screaming

Fraysa - NO NO NOT THE GIRLS PLEASE DON'T THEY ARE NOT EVEN OF OUR FAMILY!! THEY ARE INNOCENT

Pan back to Eve on a close up of her face. Her eyes open up wide in shock and terror as she hears the screams

She turns around and runs right into James' arms crying. He holds her tight

Eve - I was so horrible!!! How could I have been so heartless!! Those poor children . . . that woman . . . !

James - You're not like that anymore.

Livia (voice) - Bring them out

Eve turns around to find the memory replaying again.

Eve - WHY IS THIS HAPPENING AGAIN!!!I don't want to see this. Why is it replaying over?

James - (puts a hand on Eve's shoulder to calm her down) A memory like this will play over and over again. It's filled with guilt and regret. Thuvan is clinging to it.

Eve - (pulls away and continues to walk toward the houses) Its no wonder he hates me. You know what the worst part is. I don’t even remember this. They’re just a few in a sea of faces that I don’t remember. I killed so many, the faces just all blend together.

James - You're not that person anymore. You’re trying to atone.

Eve - I don’t think that matters to Thuvan

Eve walks toward the houses. She is at the base of the mountain now looking at the houses nestled in the mountain. Some houses were on fire. Roman soldiers were setting fire to the houses and tearing them down.

Eve - He hates Rome. I was Rome and I made sure everyone knew it. Look at the images James. Romans have caused all his pain. I caused it.

James - He's using pain as a reason to hurt others and he knows it hurts you when others suffer. He wants you to feel what you did to him, the pain that you caused him.

Eve - And I'm the reason why Craig is suffering now.

James - No Eve.

Eve sighs and shakes her head. She makes her way up the road on to the mountain. She sees an image of Fraysa running into Thuvan's loving arms. It vanishes then replays again. Eve furrows her brows.

Eve - Is that a memory?

James - (shakes his head) No, I think that's a desire.

Eve and James continue up the road stopping every so often to let Roman soldiers pass them by and also duck out of the way when houses crash down from the fire. Eve looks upon all the so solemnly.

Eve hears a little girl screaming. She sees the child version of Thuvan dragging away a little brown-haired girl from the child version of Craig.

Craig - Stop it Thuvan!! Leave Alex alone!!

Craig reaches for her but Thuvan just pushes him down and begin to kick at him. Before Eve realized what she was doing, she ran over to the children.

James - EVE NO!!! Don't touch them

Eve pulls Thuvan off Craig and away from Alex.

OUT SIDE THUVAN'S MIND

In his lair, on his throne, Thuvan in Craig's body bolts upright. He looks wildly around him and starts rubbing at his head fiercely. He looks up to the ceiling and screams

Thuvan - LIVIA!!!!!!

INSIDE THUVAN'S MIND

The child version of Thuvan turns around and grabs Eve by the hand squeezing it so tight Eve is being brought to her knees. She winces in pain as she is now eye level with him.

Thuvan - Hello Livia.

COMMERCIAL

Inside Thuvan's mind. The child version of Thuvan is holding on to Eve's hand squeezing it so hard it brings Eve's to her knees.

Thuvan - So nice of you to visit but I'm really in no state to entertain you today!

Thuvan takes Eve by the arm and flips her over. She lands hard on her back wincing in pain. Thuvan takes this moment to grab the child version of Alex and run leaving the child version of Craig to fade out of sight. James runs over and helps Eve up

Eve - What just happened?

James - Thuvan is aware of your presence in his mind. He going to try to kill you through your mind. We've got to get out of here

Eve - No! I came here with a purpose! I need to see this through.

Eve began to move up the road and James follows. The Roman soldiers that were burning and pillaging the homes stop what they're doing and move to block Eve and James.

James - But Eve, who knows what he’ll try to do now that he knows that you’re . . . (sees the dozens of Roman soldiers blocking their path) here.

Eve - There's no way we can fight all of them.

James looks quickly to the buildings that surround them. The walls look sturdy. James runs to the side and runs up the side of the wall, over and past the Roman soldiers to land on the other side of the pack of them.

Eve- James!!

James - Eve jump over!!

A Roman soldier begins to attack Eve with a spear. She dodges the jab and grabs the spear. She uses the end of it to poke him in the head. She then spins around and knocks the feet out from under the guards. Eve then throws the spear and it goes through four soldiers.

Eve - How did I do that?

James - You willed it Eve!! Just jump

Eve - I can't

More soldiers begin to advance on Eve

James - Yes you can! Reality doesn't exist here. If you can will your self to defy gravity, you will defy gravity

Eve takes a few steps back she then runs forward and jumps. She practically flies over the dozens of soldiers with grace. She flips around and lands beside James. James runs over to building and kicks the wall in. Eve gets the idea and runs over to the building beside her and kicks the wall in. Both houses topple over into the middle of the street falling on top of the Roman soldiers burying them.

Eve - That was cool!

James - We should keep moving!

Eve - Right!

Eve and James continue walking but they have picked up the pace. They decide to turn down one of the side roads

Eve - Maybe we should try one of the houses

Female Voice - Eve? Eve!

Eve sees Alex walk out of one of the houses.

Alex - Eve! I'm glad I found you

Eve - Alex?

Alex - You have to leave Thuvan's mind now! There are complications and there's no time to explain. Break the connection now or there will be serious brain damage.

James - Eve remember what Natalie said, if there were any complications Alex would tell me and I would be the one to tell you. I'm the only one conscious in both realms.

Alex (Thuvan's voice) - Big mistake

Alex makes a move to punch Eve but Eve grabs her fist and throws Alex over her shoulder.

Eve - Come on!!

Eve grabs James and they begins to sprint down the streets to get away.

James - The answer we're looking for must be in one of the houses. Thuvan wouldn't have brought up a different defense that quickly if there wasn't something he wanted to hide.

Eve - You're right. He would have kept with the soldiers otherwise

Eve and James make a quick right and find they are in something like a town square in this suburban area. Eve and James move to the center of the square. James and Eve look around the deserted area. They stop in a spot between two large statues. One of a woman and the other of a man. James walks over to the statue of the woman and looks at the inscription.

James - Najara (walks over to the statue of the man) Iridan . . . Eve this is the center of Thuvan's psyche. This is the core of who he is...

Eve - (nods) Najara whom he modeled himself after and Iridan that which he dedicated his life to following.

Eve makes a move past the statue of Iridan when her way is blocked by a sword struck against the stone base of the statue so hard it created sparks. We pan up the blade of the sword to find its owner. Livia!

Livia - What's your hurry?

Eve - (backing away shocked) Livia? How?

Livia - Have you forgotten? I live here. I am the reason, the driving force that pushes him on his mission to destroy.

Livia punches Eve and Eve stumbles back. Livia tries to run Eve through with her sword. Eve moves to the side grabbing the sword and pulling Livia forward while Eve bends forward lifting up her foot to kick Livia in the face. Eve then spins around kicking Livia in the back

Eve - What do I do? How do I get rid of her?

James - Uh Uh . . . Try and come to terms with her?

Eve - I already did that. This is Thuvan's mind not mine!

Livia tries to run Eve through again and swings her sword around. Eve dodges the sword by somersaulting under the swipe of the sword.

Eve - A little help would be great right now James!

James looks around him and finds a large thick branch on the ground. He picks it up

James - That's convenient

James attempts to strike Livia down by coming from behind. Livia sensing someone coming up behind her jumps up and flips forward kicking James back knocking him to the ground and winding him. Livia flips over to Eve and kicks her down. Before Livia can strike her down, Eve propels herself up with her feet kicking the sword out of Livia's hand she then runs up Livia's front flipping backward and kicking her in the chin. Eve then jumps up defying gravity once again and bicycle kicks Livia before spinning around and sends a corkscrew kick into Livia chest sending Livia flying back into the statue of Iridan knocking it down. Eve walks over to Livia sprawled out on the broken statue.

Eve - If Thuvan wants to "destroy" me the least he can do is do it in person.

Livia gives a smirk and fades away. Eve takes and deep breath and lets it out in a sigh. James gets up from the ground holding his stomach. Eve is still staring at the statue.

Eve - That statue. It looks like Thuvan

We pan over to James. He is dusting himself off when Thuvan walks up behind him and puts a hand on his shoulder. James gasps

OUTSIDE THUVAN'S MIND

Cut to outside Thuvan's mind and in Natalie apartment. James gasps in shock and rips his hands away from Eve and Natalie as if he's been burned. The two girls are still engaged in the search. Alex and Jeff rush over to help him up.

Alex - What happened?

James - Thuvan! He blocked me from his mind

Jeff - He found out you were doing the mind search?

Alex - Eve is in trouble! You have to go back in there and get her out!

James - I can't!

Jeff - She's in there with my sister and you can't get them out!

James - She's integrated with Eve to give Eve more power to search (Jeff looks panicked) I'm sorry I can't get in. They're on their own

THUVAN'S MIND

Cut back to Thuvan's mind. Eve is still looking at the statue.

Eve - Is Thuvan Iridan? Was Iridan even real?

Thuvan(voice) - Question Questions.

Eve whips around and comes face to face with Thuvan. He is exactly how Eve remembered him the day she had him killed. From the hair to the clothes right down to the X burned in his forehead.

Eve - Where's James?

Thuvan - More questions? (tsks) I told him to get out of my head. Well actually I threw him out. You don't mind, do you? I wanted some alone time.

Eve - Well it's nice to see you using your own face than the face of my friend

Thuvan - (sighs) You know my mother always said I looked just like my father

Eve - What?

Thuvan - Iridan was my father. A cruel and heartless man who beat his wife and tried to murder his son

Eve - Why would you want to follow a man like that?

Thuvan - It's not the man I follow. It's what the man became. My mother sent my father to look upon the light. When Iridan died he died in my name, a future warrior of the light. There he merged with the forces of the goodness. The Djinn.

Eve - The Djinn weren't real.

Thuvan – Of course you would say that. Your mother broke the will of its only crusader leaving me to pick up the pieces of her shattered soul. She told me to make a full commitment to the light before I sent her to look upon it. The light had to take on a new form and a new crusader. Iridan came to me in a dream and he gave me focus. I committed fully to him in the name of the light to free his people from the darkness. Rome. And you the face of it. Murderer of my wife and children.

Eve – I’ve caused you a lot of pain (Thuvan's just sneers at her) I'm so sorry for what I did to you. What can I do to make it right?

Thuvan - You can die

Eve - Then kill me, please. But leave Craig alone.

Thuvan - You're not getting off that easy. I didn't. I got sent to hell while you got a second shot.

Eve – I know you think you’re justified in the pain your causing. So did I.

Thuvan – Don’t you dare compare me to you, you bloodless bitch!

Eve – You’re acting exactly as I did. Killing without thought, without mercy. With each act you become worse than I ever was!

Thuvan - SHUT UP! You killed my family! I will make you pay but not with your life. Death is a release you are not worthy of! But I know how much you care for Craig. I’ve been with him for some time now. The more Craig suffers the more you do!!

Eve - I know the unforgivable things that I did Thuvan. It haunts me everyday. I'm trying to atone.

Thuvan – I don’t want you to atone. I want you to suffer!

Eve – All you’re doing is causing yourself more suffering. What do you really want?

Thuvan is caught off guard by the question. He looks away unsure of how to respond.

Eve hears screaming and turns around. She sees the two Roman soldiers that carried Craig off. They are carrying him into a house

Eve - Craig! (bolts toward the house)

Thuvan - NO!!!!

Eve runs toward the house before she gets there Livia steps in front of the door

Livia - I can't let you go in there Eve

Eve just shakes her head and punches Livia out of the way and runs into the house.

Cut to inside the house. Eve closes the door behind her and bolts the door. She sees a broken-down cabinet and pushes it in front of the door. We pan around the room. Inside the interior of the house there is nothing. There are no levels to the house it's just one big empty room. However, in the far corner there is a cage. Eve turns around and looks at her surroundings.

Voice (weak and raspy) - Eve?

Eve squints her eyes and looks at the figure with in the cage. It's Craig

Eve - Craig!!

She runs over to the cage. She's looking for an opening on the cage but there is none. Craig looks different now. He's wearing the clothes he died in but his hair is a mess, his skin is as white a chalk, his eyes are blood shot and have dark circles under them and his lips are blue.

Eve - Where are the guards that brought you in?

Craig - There are no guards. Thuvan let down his defenses. I was using what little strength I had to direct you here. I knew you were here as soon as you entered. An advantage to becoming an outsider in your own mind. I am weak though. Soon all that will be left of my mind and psyche is this cage

Eve - I'm going to get you out of here (Eve tries to bend the bars but an electric shock blows her off)

Craig - You can't Eve. This is a cage of the mind. As long as Thuvan is the dominant soul this cage stays. We don't have much time. I have to tell you what happened.

Eve - I know. I know about the divine laws he broke. He has Lucifer's help. Is there any way to break the spell? To separate the souls?

Craig - No. The spell was too powerful and we've been merged for too long now. The only way to separate us is if Thuvan willingly gives up my body. Eve, Lucifer wants you to turn. He thinks that my suffering will raise your anger forcing you to abandon the way of love.

Eve - (crying now) Oh Craig. I'm sorry I'm so sorry.

Craig - Don't say that! (pulls himself up a little and reaches for Eve's hand. Eve put her hand through the bars and holds on to his hand) This is not your fault! This is Thuvan and Lucifer. He's trying to destroy you through me. Believe in your love, for me, for Alex. It will keep you strong. Love . . . Love is what can stop Thuvan.

Craig and Eve look to the door as it's trying to break in

Eve - Even here you are my strength, my guardian angel.

Craig - (smiles weakly) Listen, destroying you is not the most upper thing on Thuvan's mind. That is his weak spot. He has another agenda and it's his top priority. There is something he wants above all else, something that even Lucifer doesn't know about. You saw two desires when you came here?

Eve - I saw one of Fraysa running into Thuvan's arms

Craig - He wants Fraysa back and he's going to make it happen. The other you saw was Thuvan as a boy taking a younger version of Alex away from me.

Eve - I don't understand. What's the connection?

Craig - Thuvan wants . . .

The doors burst open.

Eve from her point of view is jerked back through streams of white and blue light.

OUTSIDE THUVAN'S MIND

Cut to Natalie's apartment. Eve and Natalie break apart and fall to the floor panting. Alex and James pick Eve up and lay her on the couch. Jeff picks up Natalie and cradles her in his arms.

Alex - Are you guys all right?

Natalie - (out of breath) Yeah.

James - What happened?

Eve - Craig told me . . . (trying to remember)

Alex - You saw Craig?

Eve - He found the strength to tell me that Thuvan has a weak spot. He told me his plans!

Alex – Well? What are they?

Eve - (gasps and looks to Alex) Alex, he wants you!
