Open at Mid Day with a pan around the Statue of Liberty. Flash to a scene of a busy times square, then to a busy subway and then flash to a pan along a relatively busy street in New York.

Fade to Craig's face. He looks sad and forlorn. Craig just shakes his head unable to speak. He covers his eyes with his hand.

Eve - (walks up to stand beside Craig. She puts a hand on his arm) I'm just so sorry Craig . . . I . . . I don't know what to say.

We pan outwards to see Craig, Eve Jeff Morgan and James. We pan out farther to see them looking at Craig's badly damaged car. The bumper is bent on both ends, the rear window glass is broken, the passenger door has been crushed in and there are scratches and dents along the sides.

Eve - I was just so angry at you for doing that spell . . . I acted out!

Craig - WITH MY CAR!!!

Eve - I'll pay you back I swear!

Craig - (sighs) Maybe some of the insurance will cover it.

Morgan - Yeah, make up some tale! You might actually get some money off this thing!

Jeff - Morgan, that's fraud!

Morgan - So?

Jeff - It's illegal.

Morgan - Oh, stop thinking like a cop for a minute and start thinking like a friend. You could help him out, you can back up his story.

Jeff - I can't do that!!

Morgan - Sure you can. I say, anything you can do to get a little more dough out of the system, do it! The system owes us. Especially what we do night after night!

Jeff - Oh now don't get all Alex on me!!

Morgan - I am not getting "Alex" on anyone!! I'M NOT ALEX! I'M ME!!

Morgan kicks Craig's car hard and the hubcap falls off.

Craig - AHH!!

Morgan swiftly turns around and walks off. Eve makes a move to go after her but Jeff holds her back and goes on his own.

Cut to half way down the street and around the corner. Morgan is walking swiftly away, Jeff runs around the corner and catches up.

Jeff - You mind telling me what that was about? You know I can't help Craig commit fraud.

Morgan - That was not what this is about!

Jeff - Then what?

Morgan - Alex this, Alex that. "Going Alex," "Alexisms", "Alex Complex" Alex Alex Alex! I AM SICK OF HEARING ABOUT IT. SHE'S GONE, GET OVER IT!

Jeff - Hey whoa! Alex is our friend. We're not going to forget about her.

Morgan - Well, why don't you just marry her then! I'm not her so stop measuring me by her standards. She's not here but I am and if you can't handle that then go. Everyone else does!

Jeff - (walks around to face her and puts his hand on her shoulders looking her straight in the eye) What are you talking about? No one is comparing you to her. . . I mean yeah you do act a lot alike (Morgan rolls her eyes and tries to bypass Jeff but he stops her) But we know . . .I know, you're not her. I'm glad you're not Alex. I like you for you.

Morgan - (sighs, shakes her head and begins walking again) You don't understand Jeff. You've had a loving family and friends who've cared about you all your life. Every time I get comfortable, something always happens, someone always leaves, and I'm left alone and hurt. I am always waiting for the bottom to fall out.

Jeff - Why?

Morgan - Because it always does!

Morgan and Jeff round a corner and come to Morgan's building where her loft is

Jeff - You need to have a little more faith in people

Morgan - I have faith that people always leave and they never come back!

Morgan and Jeff approach the door when they see an older man in a suit and a young woman in a simple black dress, get out of a limousine that had been waiting down the street.

Cut to across the building. In the shadows of the trees the masked figure and Gawain the Green Man watch the scene unfolding before them

Gawain - There she is!

Cut back to Jeff and Morgan

Jeff - Whoa! Someone's in the wrong part of town.

Man - (approaches cautiously) Morgan?

Morgan - (astonished) Dad?

Cut to Morgan looking more than surprised as her father walks towards her. He sighs and opens his arms hesitantly hoping to embrace her. When Morgan doesn't move he frowns and lets his arms fall down by his side. Her father steps away and notices Jeff. He sticks out his hand to shake.

Man - How do you do? I'm Roger Clemont

Jeff - (shakes his hand) Jeff Morrison

Roger - (looks to Morgan pleasantly surprised) Husband?

Morgan - (shakes her head to overcome her shock) No! He . . . he's a friend. What are you doing here?

Roger - I came to see you.

Roger steps to the side a little and the woman with long dark hair walks up and gives Morgan a slight hug. Morgan recoils.

Roger - This is Danielle. She's . . . well she's your half sister.

Morgan - (sarcastic) Charmed I'm sure.

Jeff - You came from Canada?

Roger - Britain actually. I moved there shortly after . . . (trails off)

Morgan - Shortly after abandoning my family to go back to his other family. (looks at the limousine) You've done well for yourself.

Roger - Morgan, I . . .

Morgan - You have some nerve showing up here unexpected, with your other daughter no less, flaunting your wealth. If you have some way overdue explanation of why you abandoned us you can save it! You have nothing to say that I want to hear!

Danielle - You need to listen to him!

Morgan - I don't owe him or you anything!

Morgan pushes by her father and half sister to get into the entrance to her loft. Jeff squeezes by and just before going in, looks back to Roger and Danielle.

Jeff - Um . . . It was nice meeting you.

Jeff throws an apologetic look and heads inside after Morgan.

Cut to later that day in Jeff's new office. Jeff is looking through one of his case files while Morgan is doing some filing.

Jeff - All I'm saying is that maybe if you talk to the man you might get come closure on what is clearly your abandonment issues.

Morgan - Actually I'm quite content with being angry. It's what helped me survive. (continues muttering to herself) Leave it to a man to make everything sound so simple when it's not. Typical.

Jeff - Not to mention your attitude towards all men!

Eve walks in just then holding large paper bag.

Eve - Lunch Call!

Jeff - (gets up and walks over to Eve) Deluxe garlic chicken hero sandwiches?

Eve - Straight from the centre, holding the smoothies

Jeff - (grabs the bag) My savior!! And why you're at it, talk to Morgan will you?

Eve - What's up?

Morgan - (un emotional) Dad's in town, complete jerk, don't want to talk about it.

Morgan slams the filing cabinet shut and walks into another room. Jeff looks over to Eve with a mouthful of sandwich.

Jeff - (mouth full) She's a little angry

Eve - I've noticed.

Morgan - (walks in again angry) It would be a mistake to trust that . . . that man again. Why should I let him hurt me again?

Eve - Because like this you're only hurting yourself

Morgan - What?

Eve - You're in pain Morgan. I see it now as plainly as the day I met you. As much as you try to hide and bury it will never go away and right now it's killing you.

Morgan - Who asked . . . (sees her Father with her half sister walk in) YOU!!

Roger - (looking around) A little more decrepit then I was expecting. What exactly do you do Mr. Morrison?

Morgan - I don't believe this

Jeff - I'm a private investigator. I'm just starting out.

Morgan - What are you doing here? How do you even know where I worked?

Roger - . . . (looks to Danielle then back to Morgan a little guilty) Ironically we had a private investigator look for you.

Morgan - WHAT!!

Roger - Morgan, your sisters didn't know where you were and I had to find you, to speak to you.

Morgan - You betrayed all of us and mom was never the same! I never had a childhood! I had to take care of my sisters. I had to take care of my mother as she wallowed in the misery of a broken heart. You didn't even care, you just left.

Danielle - You've got it all wrong. I had. . .

Morgan - I DON'T CARE!

Eve - Morgan . . .

Danielle - Of course you don't care, just like your mother who was vindictive . . .

Roger - Danielle!

Danielle - And selfish and a drunk!!

Morgan launches at Danielle, trying to attack her but Jeff and Eve quickly hold her back

Morgan - SHUT UP!! YOU DO NOT GET TO TALK ABOUT MY MOTHER LIKE THAT. YOU TOOK MY FATHER AWAY FROM ME YOU BITCH!

Roger - MORGAN, THAT IS ENOUGH!

Morgan out of shock stops struggling. She looks at her father with a cold glare

Roger - You must allow me to explain why I am here.

Morgan - Fine. Do it then leave.

Roger - I've come to take you back to England with me. Your sisters need you. . . . Your mother . . . she has . . . passed away.

Morgan turns white and her legs give out from under her and Jeff with his arms around her waist keeps her up

Roger - No one knows really how it happened but it's suspected that . . .alcohol may have . . .contributed.

Morgan - No . . .

Morgan walks over slowly to a chair to sit down shaking her head.

Eve watches Morgan sadly and suddenly the world around her goes black.

*Flash*

A dark room begins to light up as a team of paramedics carry a body on a stretcher covered by a sheet out of an apartment. A police Officer stands next to two young fair-haired girls who look sad and confused as a dead body is carried past them.

In the shadows something evil lurks

Voice - Eve?

*Flash*

Eve vision clears as she looks up and sees Jeff, Morgan, Roger and Danielle look at her

Eve just looks at Danielle and Roger before going over to Morgan. Eve kneels down beside Morgan. Morgan just looks at Eve, knowing Eve has seen a glimmer of truth. Morgan shakes her head

Morgan - No . . .

Eve nods sadly and Morgan breaks down. Eve embraces Morgan to calm her. Tear streaked Morgan looks up suddenly worried.

Morgan - Kayla and Tori?

Roger - (walks over and takes Morgan's hands) Child services contacted me and I made my way back to Canada as soon as I could. They're with your grandmother right now but I'll look after them. They're alright, they're safe but your sisters need you. I've come to take you back to Canada. We will tie up loose ends and then all of us will return to Britain.

Morgan stands up suddenly.

Morgan - Wait what?

Roger - Morgan, your sisters . . .

Morgan - No, no, I got that and I will drop everything to be there for them but since when have you made decisions for me and my sisters. You lost the right to boss us around when you walked out that door. Mom would never have become a drunk if you had stayed. You drove her to that! This is your fault.

Morgan pushes past Roger and walks out. Jeff stands up to go after her.

Jeff - Morgan!

Jeff runs to the door but Eve beats him to it running after Morgan.

Cut to outside. Eve and Jeff run out of the building and on to the streets. They stop in the middle of the street and look around. Morgan is nowhere in sight.

Fade to the Night. Eve is walking with James around a cemetery.

Eve - I felt like bursting into tears. I could feel the sadness. My heart was breaking for those two girls and Morgan. But why would I be shown that?

James - Was there anything else in the vision?

Eve - No . . . wait yes there was. But I didn't see it, it was more like a feeling, something dark, lurking. I don't know what though.

James - Maybe there's something you have to uncover to help Morgan.

Eve nods thoughtfully but stops short when she sees Craig across the way. Her eyes widen and she turns in the other direction and walks fast. James stands there confused.

James - Eve!

James looks back and sees Craig looking sad at Eve obviously avoiding him. Craig sees James and gets a guilty looks on his face. Craig hastily continues on his way in the opposite direction

Cut to Eve walking. Jeff runs up to her

Jeff - Hey! Got a beat on Morgan?

Eve - Huh? Oh! No, not yet

Jeff - Me neither. You okay? You seem a little . . .

Eve - (shakes it off) I'm just thinking about Morgan and her situation. There's something about Danielle . . .I don't know maybe I'm just feeling empathy for Morgan but there something about her that irks me

Jeff - I don't know if I like the idea of her leaving.

Eve - She needs to be with her sisters Jeff. What would you have her do?

Jeff - Do you think she should leave?

Eve - I think she should do what ever she feels is right, but first I'd like to find her

Jeff - It's a big city she could be anywhere.

Suddenly a demon comes flying through the trees and lands on the ground in front of Eve and Jeff, dead with it's head cut off.

Jeff - (looking at the demon) Or she could be right here, fighting demons to blow off steam.

Eve - Duck!

Jeff and Eve duck as another demon comes flying out of the trees and lands behind them as dead as the first. Both Jeff and Eve notice the blue spikes on its shoulders.

Eve - Hybrids!! Come on!!

Cut to Morgan fighting with a yellow skinned Hybrid. Morgan holds up her axe to block a blow from the demon but in hits her so hard the axe butts back into her making her somersault over backwards. Morgan gets up quickly again and ducks a second blow but is struck hard across the face sending her flying back a few feet. Jeff runs up jumps and kicks the yellow demon in the head sending it flying into a tree.

Morgan - (getting up) I had it.

Just then two more hybrids jump out.

Jeff - Sorry! My bad! You want its friends?

Morgan - Well, maybe I could use some help.

As the two demons attack Morgan does a round house kick on one sending it over to Jeff while Morgan back hands the other that spins over and has it's head chopped off by Eve who just quirks her eye brows

Cut back over to Jeff who hits the other hybrid in the head then grabs it by the neck bending it over so Jeff can knee it in the face. Jeff then punches it back. The demon stumbles back and bares its teeth at Jeff. As it attacks again Jeff averts to the side and throws the demon in to the tree beside the first yellow skinned one

Jeff - Good, exactly how I like them. Dumb.

Gawain - (steps out from behind the tree smiling) Not a dumb as you think!

The two other demons get up and bare their teeth ready to attack. Suddenly a voice calls in the distance.

Danielle - (calling out)Morgan!!

Morgan - Oh no!

Gawain - Ahh fresh meat!!

Danielle - (coming into view she sees Morgan but does not see the demons) Morgan! I've been looking all over for you. I wanted to . . .

Suddenly Gawain the Green Man grabs Danielle by the throat.

Morgan - NO! Let her go.

Gawain's mouth stretches wide open to take a bite out of Danielle's neck. Danielle sees this out of the corner of her eyes and screams. Just then Eve throws the sword and it flies into Gawain's leg. He howls and lets go of Danielle who runs over to Morgan who positions Danielle behind her.

Gawain- (sighs as he takes the sword out of his leg)Really? Do I interrupt you while you're eating?

Gawain throws the sword back at Eve intending to spear her through but Eve dodges to the side, grabs the sword and spins it in her hand. At that moment the two demons attack. One runs after Jeff who turns around and runs up the truck of the tree, bounces off and kicks the demon in the head.

The second demon runs at Morgan and Danielle. Morgan jumps up and does to roundhouse on the demon knocking it back. Morgan turns around and kicks the demon in the hip making it skid away on the ground. Morgan grabs Danielle by the shoulders.

Morgan - Are you trying to get yourself killed?

Danielle - (upset) I was looking for you.

Danielle sees a demon run back at them screeching. Morgan quickly covers Danielle's body with her own to deflect the blows. Morgan gets two hits to the back before Craig runs on to the scene and grabs the demon by the neck.

Craig - Sorry! This one got away!

Morgan tosses Craig the axe and Craig cuts the demons head off.

Cut to Eve and Gawain.

Eve - You? You should have died. I saw the flames engulf you.

Gawain - (scoffs) The name's Gawain and you understand nothing

Eve spins around swinging the sword at Gawain. He catches the sword in his bare hand and hits Eve twice with the other. He then grabs Eve and slams her against a tree. Eve kicks him making him let go of her but he comes back and holds her up off the ground by the throat. He growls at her

Eve hits Gawain really hard in the chest making him fly back a few feet from Eve. He looks surprised. Eve then jumps up and kicks Gawain knocking him over. Just as Eve is about to bring her sword down upon him, he looks up and smirks before fading into the ground, the sword comes down hitting the earth.

Cut back over to Morgan who jumps on the yellow demon back trying to strangle it with the hilt of her axe. It flips her over grabbing the axe out of her hand and throwing it away. Morgan tries to scramble back as the demon unsheathes its claws about to strike her down. Just then the axe comes out of nowhere slicing the demons head off. The demon slumps down dead on its side. Danielle stands there holding the axe. Morgan looks up at Danielle surprised.

Morgan - You saved my life.

Danielle - Of course. You're my sister. . .(looks to Jeff and Craig as James comes running in to now stand beside Eve. She then looks back to Morgan) So . . . This is what you guys do.

COMMERCIAL

Cut to Gawain getting struck in the face. We pan out as we see the figure dressed all in black pacing back and forth as Gawain gets up off the ground. The figure then spins around kicking him in the face and he falls to the ground again.

Gawain - It was a minor setback! You saw her though. This one has potential, real potential unlike the other one you picked up.

The Figure turns around and punches his straight in the face which makes him knock the back of his head against the wall

Figure - You fool! You've set her straight into the arms of The Messenger!

Gawain - But she's volatile! She just needs a little push in the right direction.

Cut to Eve, Craig, Jeff, James Morgan and Danielle walking back to the centre.

Morgan - How did you know?

Danielle - (looking a bit guilty) It was my idea to hire the private investigator to track you down. He reported directly to me and told me he uncovered some . . . interesting things.

Morgan - Does Dad know?

Danielle - I didn't tell him. But you might want to

Morgan - I don't know if he'll be as accepting as you are.

Danielle - I'm not naïve. I study mythological beings. I've made it my field of study ever since I recovered from my sickness. The doctors couldn't understand why I got it in the first place or why I recovered. It was supposed to be terminal. That's why Dad left you. He was trying to find people who could help me.

James - What does that have to do with demons?

Danielle - In search of a more spiritual answer I came across a shaman. He told me my sickness was a curse and whoever cursed me probably allowed me to recover as a favor to be owed.

Eve - (giving Danielle a curious and suspicious look) Have you ever been contacted?

Danielle - No and I plan to keep it that way. The shaman says there is a darkness inside of me, that's why I was so easy to curse. The only thing that will keep that force from calling in the debt is to do good deeds, be a better person.

Morgan - How did you know I was out here?

James - Uhhh . . . .I might have pointed her in the right direction when she called this evening

Morgan - (smacks him upside the head) Dumb Ass!

Danielle - You sure are a colorful group!

Morgan - Yeah Yeah we're a bunch of skittles, taste the rainbow.

Danielle - I really am sorry for the way I acted earlier. Look, I know we're not going to be calling each other BFF's over night but could we at least talk about what's happening here. I know you feel hurt and betrayed but please take some time to listen us.

Craig - She did save your life Morgan. You at least owe her that much.

Morgan - I guess I do.

Eve - (still suspicious) Come on let's get back to the centre.

Cut back to the centre. Everyone walks in the centre and unloads. Morgan slams her axe on the counter and turns to Danielle.

Morgan - Well?

Danielle - It's the middle of the night! I know you operate on different hours but Dad's probably asleep. He doesn't even know I went out. I'll go back to the hotel and get him. We'll come in the morning.

Eve - If you want Morgan you can stay here. Shower and maybe change. I have some extra clothes

Morgan - (little to no emotion) Yeah I should change. Call me down when Dad gets here.

Morgan walks into the back room

Cut to upstairs in Eve's and James apartment. Morgan opens the door and walks right into the kitchenette. She turns on the tap and splashes cold water on her face. Eve walks in.

Eve - Are you alright?

Morgan - I guess I am. Danielle saved my life after all. Damn it.

Eve - Would it make it easier for you to hate her if she was a bitch?

Morgan - I don't want to hear another one of your little lectures Eve.

Eve - Who's lecturing? Just asking a question

Morgan suddenly throws a cup and smashes it on the floor. Eve winces a little but doesn't re act.

Morgan - Everything inside me says I should be angry.

Eve - I know.

Morgan - (mocking) I'm sure Alex does too.

Eve - I won't mention her if you don't.

Morgan - I know I know . . .but I really don't want to hear about how my problem is similar to Alex's and how she overcame it.

Eve - Okay, how about one of my own?

Morgan - What?

We pan to the window and fade out of the city to a grassy plain on the edge of a cliff. We come across the scene from Looking Death in the Eye as both Xena and Gabrielle fake there deaths. Ares comes along to take away their bodies as Joxer sees. Just then Augustus comes along holding Eve in his arms.

Eve - (voice over) As you might know when my mother's plan went wrong and Ares took away their bodies, Augustus took me away. In order to keep his promise to my mother to look after me, he renamed me to keep my identity secret and sent me away to the provinces.

Cut to a map of the Roman empire and fade to a little girl looking out her window at the stars at night.

Eve - (voice over) I've lived all over the empire but I never had a place to call home. I don't remember much from my childhood, perhaps because I've repressed most of it but I do remember knowing I had no home, no family and no mother. I can remember looking up at the stars at night and wishing upon every one that my mother would come back and take me away. I also remember Lucricia and I wish I didn't.

Fade to the next morning in the sparse little room with a five year old Livia sleeping in her little bed. Suddenly an old women bangs through the door.

Lucricia - GET UP!!(grabs Livia by her arm and lifts her out of bed) Get up you wretched child! Such a mess.

Cut to Lucricia teaching a classroom full of children interchanging between scenes of children surrounding a table eating, as a woman bangs a loud stick down, startling all the children, scenes of children being marched like soldiers, scenes of girls and boys coming out of an office crying, nursing bruises.

Eve- (voice over) - Lucricia ran a boarding school for children. It was remote and out of the way. She was a cruel woman and as I grew older and my teachers changed I began to realize she was jealous of our youth.

Cut to scenes of a young Livia, playing in the dirt and with spiders until Lucrecia comes out and grabs her by the robe and shoves her inside, scenes where Lucricia is teaching Livia to become a fine young noble lady. She is poking and prodding at Livia, making her sit up straight, she pulls at Livia's hair when she eats the wrong way. When Livia is doing work Lucricia slams a stick on Livia's desk and purposefully knocks Livia's slate on the floor. Next to a scene where Livia is pushed into her room by Lucricia

Lucricia - You ungrateful little bastard!! You think you belong among us? You have no place here! You are the product of A Grecian whore! Don't you ever forget! You may think you have the Emperor's favor but you only have his pity and pity brings nothing but shame. (walks out and locks the door behind her)

Eve - (voice over) . I never had a parent. I had a warden.

Fade to seven year old Livia looking out her window at night. Fade to Eve sitting next to Morgan on the couch in her apartment. She sighs

Morgan - I'm sorry you had to go through that Eve. It's a rotten way to grow up but I'm not drawing any parallels.

Eve - I've never had a parent. I learned to live without one. Then my mother came back. She wanted to save me, to love me. But I rejected to her because I was angry. It was so much easier to blame every horrible thing in my life on her. At the last moment I was saved but I lost so much time and now I'll never get it back. You've lost your mother Morgan but you have a chance with your father and your sisters. Don't lose anymore time. You have a family that wants you back, that wants to change things. Don't you think you deserve that?

Morgan - (tears roll down her cheeks) I just feel like I would be betraying my mother. I mean looking back, she wasn't the greatest but I still loved her . Even with Nick I made sure I sent them money, that my grandmother could check in on them regularly and when I joined the Amazons I was able to get them the care they needed and deserved. It was hard but even through everything, I loved my mother. Yeah she's a drunk but . . . this time . . . this time it just feels like something is off and when Danielle said those things about her, I just felt like something was wrong (Eve remains silent but contemplative, Morgan continues on as her face crumples and she breaks down into tears) But . . .

Eve - (understanding says softly with compassion) Go to him Morgan.

Morgan nods

Eve - Just listen to him before you make a decision but . . . what ever it is, we'll support you.

Cut to the next day. Morgan is down in the lower half of the centre before the centre has opened talking to her father and her sister. Eve, James and Jeff are sitting up near the bar watching everything but hearing nothing of what's going on. Every now and then Morgan shouts something angry out but Roger is able to calm her. At one point Morgan breaks down crying. Danielle does nothing but Roger puts his arms around Morgan as she cries. Morgan begins to look more agreeable. Back at the bar Jeff is fidgeting.

Jeff - I feel like I should be down there.

Eve - I know but her mother just died Jeff. Morgan needs someone.

Jeff - She has us! She has me!

Eve - And I know you love her but Morgan may need more then that, she needs other family, the ones who are experiencing the loss as she is.

Morgan, Danielle and Roger walks up to the bar area. Morgan smiles a little.

Morgan - Um I have something very important to tell you guys. . . . I'm going back to Canada for a while, for the funeral and to help my sisters. Then I'm going to Britain to help them adjust to life.

Jeff looks shocked James looks sad while Eve nods sadly

Eve - We're going to miss you but I understand. This is something you need to do.

Roger - Very well! It's settled. Mr. Morrison I'm sorry to leave you without an assistant but I am sure you understand. Send Morgan's pay check in the mail. (looks to Morgan) I'll call a mover and we'll get all your things moved to storage, you just look at packing up your own things. We'll leave tomorrow.

Morgan - Whoa Whoa hold on!! I said I'd go but not for good. Dad, I don't think you understand. I have a life here. You know my family means everything but . . .

Roger - Morgan, your sisters won't be better in a few weeks. You have to choose.

Morgan looks between Eve Jeff and James and her father and Danielle. She looks shocked

Danielle - (stepping in at that moment and puts a hand on his arm and speak in a smooth and sweet voice, almost patronizing) Dad, you know Morgan's family is important to her but you have to remember that she's been alone for a long time. She's used to making decisions on her own. She's built and re built her life, I think she's comfortable here and all this has been brought on her head so fast without warning.

Roger - (sighs) But we have so little time.

Morgan - I know but maybe I could go for a few months then decide later whether I need to stay longer or not.

Danielle - We can at least give you a little time. Talk out all the options. Maybe we could spend the day together. Have lunch, do some shopping?!

Morgan - (little to no enthusiasm) I guess.

Roger - (relents with a sigh and nods) I do owe you some time. Alright. A couple extra days then. I'll call your grandmother and let her know.

Danielle gets a happy look and grabs Morgan by the hand and drags her out. Jeff James and Eve just stand there looking confused at what transpired.

James - Not that I want to seem cynical or anything but that act was so sickly sweet I'm getting a cavity

Eve - Agreed. I'm concerned. Danielle . . . she's up to something. Go after them Jeff. Follow them, and keep us posted.

Jeff - You don't have to tell me twice!

Jeff walks out of the centre

Cut to outside the centre across the street in the shadow of the trees. Gawain the Green Man and the dark masked figure stand and watch Roger walk out with Danielle pulling Morgan along.

Figure - She has a plan, this one.

Gawain - Should we go after her!

Figure - I think she's already two-steps ahead of us. Let's see how this plays out. Watch her, don't interfere (they see Jeff walk out of the centre intent on following) and make sure nothing gets in her way.

COMMERCIAL

Open with a pan across a fancy out door bistro midday. We stop when we see Morgan sitting with her father and half sister.

Danielle - Isn't this bistro the best? I love New York. We should definitely come back more often Dad. Perhaps we can bring Tori and Kayla and we can visit Morgan.

Roger - If she decides to stay here that is. Which I hope isn't the case.

Morgan - I'll stay as long as needed for Tori and Kayla to adjust but I will have to return to New York.

Roger - What you have here is more important than your family?

Morgan - You don't understand what I do here.

Danielle - Just tell him!

Morgan - (sighs and struggles to find the words) It's hard to explain. I love my sisters with all my heart, I would do anything for them and that's why I do this. I wouldn't even think about coming back here if I didn't believe I have a higher purpose

Roger - (sighs and leans back in his chair) You're right. I'm afraid I don't understand. I know I am the last person to lecture you on family but Morgan sometimes you have to put personal desires aside and make a firm decision. You either stay or you come with us.

Morgan - It's not that simple.

Roger - (his cell phone rings. He looks at the number) I need to take this but this discussion is not over!

Danielle - Why don't you go back to the hotel Dad. Morgan and I will meet there this evening and we can sit down and make some firm plans.

Roger throws some money on the table and walks away as he begins a heated discussion on the phone.

Morgan - What does he want from me?

Danielle - Dad's a business man. He's successful because he has fought for everything he has and everything he has is exactly the way he wants it to be. The same is with his life. He wants all his ducks in a row. Family included.

Morgan - (sarcastic)Gee thanks for pointing that out. I just thought he wanted me back in his life so he could make up for abandoning me the first time.

Danielle - (looks to Morgan and shrugs) You know, personally, I think you should stay.

Morgan - You do?

Danielle - You have a very important job here, fighting evil. We can always bring Kayla and Tori to visit.

Morgan - What about the funeral? I need to be there for my sisters.

Danielle - They're my sisters too. I'll take care of them.

Morgan - It won't be the same for them. I should at least tell Dad the truth about why I have to stay, maybe he'll let me come with you guys for a while then allow me to return.

Danielle - But your friends need you here, you said so.

Morgan - They understand and I can still fight evil on another front. There's an Amazon compound in Britain and it's firmly based in the Aquitaine order, if I let them know of my mission here I can organize something.

Danielle - (narrows her eyes and her voice grows cold) Well . . . Don't decide now! At least think about it. (switches on her cheery personality again) In the mean time let's do some shopping. I want new shoes!!

Morgan - Oh I don't think . . . (Danielle pulls her up and drags her out) Oh okay. Sure! Why not?

Cut to a fifth avenue store. As Danielle and Morgan walk in we pan over to a bench where Jeff is sitting, a newspaper covering his face. The newspaper folds forward as Morgan and Danielle are out of sight. Jeff takes out his cell phone.

Jeff - Eve? . . . Yeah it's me. Listen Morgan and Danielle just walked into a store. . . . Morgan is seriously thinking about leaving for good. The weird thing is Danielle is trying to talk her out of it, trying to convince Morgan that she would be a good replacement for her sisters.

Cut to the centre

Eve - (on the phone) Jeff, keep a close eye on them. . . (puts the phone down and walks over to James) There could be something seriously wrong. I keep thinking about the dark presence I felt in the vision and what Danielle said to us last night about a darkness inside of her. Why would she convince Morgan to stay?

James - Jealousy can be dark. Maybe Danielle wants to monopolize her father's affection.

Eve - It's more than that. The death of Morgan's mother, Danielle convincing Morgan to stay away, Danielle mysterious illness, her discussion with a Shaman. It's all connected and Danielle is the key.

James - Then this would be a good opportunity to hone your own abilities. Peer into the past, see truth in the lies. (closes up a the till and walks away)

Eve - (surprised)You're not going to help?

James - (cold) No.

Eve shakes her head stunned and walks to the back room.

Morgan and Danielle are walking through central park as the sun is going down. Morgan is looking around.

Morgan - We should get out of here soon. We don't want to get caught here when the demons come out. We don't need a repeat of last night.

Danielle - Oh come on! I've done my research, the sun is just going to down we have time. . . . So tell me about Jeff. Is it serious?

Morgan - I don't know. I guess. I mean I like him but . . . it's just casual right now. I had a bad relationship not so long ago that I attempted to run away from and it put a lot of people in danger. It's always been that way with my relationships though, when ever I take a chance I get hurt.

As Morgan keeps walking Danielle holds back a little bit. Morgan doesn't notice.

Danielle - Well, you know what they say. No pain, no gain.

Morgan - Jeff is different. He really is a good guy. I feel like he's the one guy I can trust, and that's not an easy task. (laughs a little) You know Jeff thinks my problem with men stems from my lack of a relationship with my father. He says I need to have more faith in people, sometimes I think I'm a little too trusting.

Danielle - (gets a dark look on her face as she pulls out something from her purse as she mumbles) Maybe you are.

Cut to Eve in her apartment. Eve is sitting in the lotus position with her eyes closed. She is meditating. All around her there are whispers in the darkness.

Lao Ma - (whispered voice) The entire world is driven by a will blind and ruthless. In order to transcend the limitations of the physical world you need to stop willing . . . (voice fades out)

Kao Hisn - (voice whispering fades in) . . . cease desiring and become what you desire. . .(fades out)

Alex - (voice whispering)You can delve into past events, you can see every angle, and you can pinpoint exact moments of change. This can help you understand the present and the future.

Around Eve her apartment grows dark and the scene around her changes

*Flash*

Eve's eyes open and she sees Morgan's mother, she is crying and drinking and although Eve already knows all this, she sees the reason why. Danielle is there smirking at Morgan's mother and puts some sort of drug in a bottle and hands it to Morgan's mother who is still so drunk she didn't even notice as she takes another sip.

Then Danielle gets up and the scenes changes around her to central park as Danielle takes a switch knife out of her purse and raises it against Morgan.

Pan over to Eve who gasps. Pan is close and fast on her shocked face.

*Flash*

Eve - (takes a deep breath) JAMES!!!!!

Pan out and we see Eve back in her apartment. She gets up grabs her chakram and runs out quickly.

Cut back to Morgan as she is still walking consumed in her own thoughts. Danielle comes up stealthily behind her holding the knife high in the air. Morgan slows down sensing something. Danielle sends several swipe and hits toward Morgan from behind. Morgan then evades each swipe. Morgan puts both her hands up to catch the knife coming down on her head between her palms. She grabs the knife out of Danielle's hands as she spins away. Morgan looks at the knife with anger and throws it away. She jumps up and does a spin kick is the air. She kicks Danielle in the face with such force Danielle flips over on to the ground.

Morgan - WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?

Danielle - (get up and spits out blood) Eliminating the competition. Everyday my mother and I had to listen about the "other" family and how he needs to be with his "other" children. He loves them just as much as me, he'd say. HE IS MY FATHER! HE WAS MINE FIRST! (low and dark) and he will be mine last. I will be his sole heir, the only one he can trust. He'll be hurt when he hears about your gang wars and he'll be devastated when he hears about his other daughters tragic accident, but he'll get over it and he'll forget about it.

Morgan - What happened to fighting the darkness within you?

Danielle - (feigning innocence) Did I say that? Oh I meant the shaman told me to embrace the darkness within me. Only then will I get what I want!

Morgan - You bitch!

Danielle runs at Morgan to attack her again. Morgan just does a handless cartwheel kicking Danielle in the head knocking her over. Morgan runs over and tries to kick Danielle but Danielle blocks it with her leg. Danielle ducks a swipe from Morgan and then blocks two other hits before hitting Morgan in the stomach and kicking her in the chest knocking her back.

Morgan - (rubbing her chest) Damn!!

Danielle - You think I haven't been waiting for this moment, going toe to toe with "Variam Queen of the One Tribe." I know all about you and your past lives and I've been training for a fight just like this.

Morgan does a roundhouse kick that Danielle blocks and dodges a kick that she throws. They block each others punches before Morgan ducks a punch by doing the splits and punching Danielle hard in the gut. As Danielle bends over winded by the blow Morgan swings her legs up and around kicking Danielle in the head knocking her over. Morgan gets back on to her feet.

Morgan - You haven't been training hard enough.

Danielle sees the knife close by. She scrambles over pick up the knife and runs at Morgan screaming.

Roger - (running into the clearing with Eve, James and Craig behind him) NOOOOO!!!

Danielle ignores her father and keeps running at Morgan until Jeff out of nowhere tackles her down. Jeff gets up holding Danielle back who is still struggling. She sees her father.

Danielle - SHE GONE PSYCHO!! I WAS TRYING TO DEFEND MYSELF!! KILL HER DADDY! KILL HER!!!!

Roger - (shocked) Danielle! What . . . What is going on! What has gotten in to you?

Danielle - SHE'S A KILLER!!

Morgan - YOU LIAR!!(moves to attack Danielle)

Eve - No, Morgan don't!

Morgan - But she's lying!! She wanted to hurt me and hurt my sisters!!

Danielle - (elbows Jeff in the stomach making him let her go) I was defending myself. Who are you going to believe?

Roger - I saw you attack Morgan!

Danielle - No! (stomps her foot) NO NO NO NO NO!!! YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT SHE IS!! YOU'D HATE HER IF YOU KNEW!!

Just then the last rays of sun fade from the earth as the sun goes down.

Craig - OH MAN!! We got to get out of here now!!

Suddenly two regular demons attack out of darkness of the wood. One demon goes for Morgan. She ducks the kick from the demon then grabs it by the leg and throws it into a tree as Danielle screams

Danielle - DO YOU SEE?! DO YOU SEE WHAT SHE IS?!! SHE WORKS WITH DEMONS!!!

Eve - No No. That isn't true.

The second demon runs at Eve and Roger. Eve crouches Roger down and shields him with her body taking a hit on the back from the demon when Craig punches the demon in the face. He punches it twice in the side then twice across the face. He then swings around and kicks the demon in the back sending it over to James. James swings around with the sword and cuts the demons head off.

Cut back over to the demon that was thrown into the tree. It gets up and moves to attack. Jeff bends down low and swipes the legs out from under the demon. A short sword then pops out from his sleeve and he chops the demons head off. He quickly goes over to Morgan who is shaken up.

Jeff - Are you okay?

Morgan shrugs from his embrace. From behind they don't see Danielle picks up the knife, raising it against the both of them.

Cut back to Eve and Roger who are getting up. They see Danielle about to attack

Roger - Danielle!!

Eve quickly takes out her chakram and throws it. It ricochets off some trees and sails towards Danielle's hand knocking the knife from it. Danielle holds her hurting hand looking to Eve with venom who is catching her chakram. She looks to her father who is looking back at her with shock and terror. She backs away and breaks into a run heading deep into the wood.

Rogers just stands there dumbfounded not making a move to go after her. Eve puts a hand on Roger's shoulder.

Eve - There is still a daughter who needs your love

Roger - (shrugs away from Eve) No! No . . . I need . . . I can't . . .

Morgan - Dad?

Roger - This is madness. I don't . . . I've lost you both. . .

Roger turns around and leaves the scene quickly. Morgan just sinks to her knees.

Cut to an ATM in the city. Danielle is there getting out all her money. She turns around and walks across the street. She walks past the alley and hears a voice

Voice - Nice work back there!

Danielle stops in her tracks and sees the outline of the masked figure in the darkness.

Figure - I saw the way you manipulated everyone. With a little more practice you might actually succeed.

Danielle - Go to Hell!

Danielle turns around to find her way blocked by the masked figure. She stumbles back in shock. Danielle tries to bypass the figure.

Figure - I gave you that disease so you could get your father back, then I cured you of it. You owe me.

Danielle - (looks up at the figure) That was you? . . . (understanding now) And you've come to collect the debt.

Figure - This is a valued opportunity. I can train you, make you stronger, smarter. You can beat that Amazon.

Danielle - I can have my revenge?

Figure - In the best way possible.

Danielle - (smirks) I'm in.

Danielle walks along side the masked figure past the smirking Green Man.

Fade to the next morning. Morgan is sitting in her loft, zoning out. There is a knock on the door, followed by Eve opening it and looking it. She walks over to Morgan.

Morgan - (holding up a note) It's happened. He left and he's keeping me away from sisters. He has full custody over them and he's taking them to Britain. Mom was cremated and her ashes are going to spread over the Atlantic. I didn't even get to say goodbye

Eve - Does he have a restraining order?(Morgan shakes her head) Has he said that you'll never see them again?(Morgan shakes her head again) Then there is still hope. He just needs time to adjust, to deal with what's happened. So do you. And when you are ready, you will go and visit them. I'll make sure.

Morgan - I'd rather forget this whole mess ever happened

Eve - I'd rather you didn't. Morgan I want you to fight, like you have something to fight for. If you fight like you have nothing to lose, nothing to fear, then you have nothing to love. Then you won't be fighting for life, you will be fighting for death. I don't want that to ever happen to you.

Morgan - (crying) I don't know what to do. I love my life here. I love Jeff but I miss my Mom and my sisters and even my Dad! It just hurts so much. Every time, I let someone in they let me down. I've lost my family.

Eve - No, Morgan. We are still here. James, Craig, Jeff and me, we are here for you, whatever you need. We are family.
