Open with a pan along a street. It's a quiet suburban community. There are birds chirping and people walking their dogs until a house blows up.

Cut to people panicking everywhere. People are running and screaming. There are houses burning and dead people lying along the ground. Pan back and forth from once piece of destruction to another as leather clad men run along the streets beating and killing any innocent they can find. Among the flames a man protects his wife from a leather-clad biker. The woman with short black hair and dark eyes trembles in fear as she hides behind her husband as the biker makes a swipe at them with a knife. Her husband valiantly protects her as he pushes the guy back but the biker punches him down. The husband stands back up to go to his wife when he is shot in the back. The man falls forward into his wife's arms. She screams in horror as the blood from his wound pours over him and her. Amidst her screams crazy laughing can be heard. Hearing the laughter the woman stops screaming, her breath catches in her throat as she looks at the man who stands among the ruin and chaos.

Cut to Craig. He laughs at the terror and pain he ignites in people. His laughter echoes and he stretches out his arms wide his head turned up to the sky. The fire scorches his arms and hands. Sweat breaks out on his forehead as he endures the pain. Only now does he feel truly alive. He turns around suddenly and shouts up into the sky.

Craig - AHHHHHHH!!!!!

The woman looks at him with fear. Her dark eyes wide with terror. We close in on her eyes.

ONE YEAR LATER

The eyes are darker now, without life. They no longer hold fear but anger and resentment. We pan out to see the same woman. She is seated in a dark chair. Burnt objects are scattered on the floor, charred walls surround her. This home looks like it was partially burned down. She sits there with a glass of red wine in her hands. She is staring intently at some thing. There is a voice speaking in the background.

We pan around the room and find a television. One thing seems to be replayed over and over. It is a scene from the "SQUAD" episode.

Craig - Well I know one thing. I've had enough of this!

Craig turns around and punches the camera out.

Fuzz fills the screen. Suddenly a glass filled with red wine is thrown at the screen and shatters into pieces. The red wine drips down the television screen.

Fade to the centre mid day. Pan around at the people working out and the youth volunteers working with the kids. Pan over to the bar where Eve and James are.

James - Well everything seems to be back to normal.

Eve - Only for the centre.

Jeff runs into the centre with Morgan behind him absolutely ecstatic. They run over to Eve and James practically bursting with happiness. A huge contrast from Eve and James.

Jeff - I have great news!!

James and Eve try to look surprised and happy

Jeff - (deflates instantly) When I say 'I have great news!' that's where you look happy and say "Really?!"

Eve - (smiles a bit) Sorry Jeff. We need some good news! What's up?

Morgan - We got our first case!!

Jeff - Nothing major! It's pretty standard. I can't say too much because we have a client confidentiality policy but this case is a good start and it might help get our name out there a little more. Morrison and Co.

James - Celebratory smoothies all around!!

Eve, Jeff & Morgan - (in unison) NO!!

Eve - No, that's okay James. We're not feeling that celebratory

Jeff - Those advertising contacts really helped a lot. Remind me to thank Alex later.

Morgan - Where is she anyway?

Eve - Back at her loft.

Jeff - Any word from Craig?

Eve - He's been avoiding all of us

Jeff - I wish I hadn't said anything! I was just . . . I'm worried about him.

Eve- We all are.

Jeff - No Eve, you don't understand. I've been where's he's at before. I know this kind of pain. And I only know of one way to deal with that kind of pain and so does Craig.

Eve - You don't think Craig would . . .

James - I thought he was fine. He seemed fine.

Eve - He's never been fine. His encounter with Thuvan changed him forever.

Fade to a dark room. We move in and see Craig sitting on a chair hunched over with his forearms leaning on his knees and a beer bottle dangling between his fingers. We close in tight on his dark sullen face. He suddenly snaps!! He screams loud in pain and anguish! He jumps up and throws the beer bottle against the wall.

Cut to a pan along the streets of New York. It's filled with people walking to and fro. Cars drive by sometimes honking at one another and people on their bikes weave through the traffic. We angle in on some of the passer-by's on the street and close in on Eve walking down the sidewalk on her way to Alex's loft. Eve gets to Alex's building and walks in.

Cut to inside Alex's loft. Eve lets herself in the door just as a vase of flowers narrowly misses her head followed by Alex's scream.

Alex - I SAID GET OUT!!!!!

Eve - (shocked) What!?

Alex - (surprised) Eve!! Oh my God!! (runs over and ushers Eve in) I'm sorry. I could have sworn . . I thought . . . I thought you were someone else.

Eve - (still recovering from the shock) Who?

Alex - . . . Uh . . . no . . . no one important . . . I was . . .

Eve - Having another waking dream?

Alex - Yeah

Eve - Have you seen Craig?

Alex - No, I've looked for him but . . . He wasn't answering at his apartment so I thought he went out. I went to every bar, every club hoping he was not drinking. I went to every park, every cemetery hoping he might be beating the crap out of some demon. I checked with Bobby and Serena and they haven't seen him. I even tried to see if Natalie would check for him on the psychic plain but she keeps looking at me funny. Where the hell is he?

Eve - I don't know. Why don't you get some rest. Let me try and speak to Craig

Alex - He's my friend too and I can't just sit around and watch him self-destruct. I thought he was okay. I thought . . .I thought he was getting better.

Eve - Did you really believe that?

Alex - (sighs) I wanted to.

Eve - There is never a quick fix. I should have realized it, I should have talked to him more, been there for him more but I was too consumed with my own problems.

Alex - Me too.

Eve - And Craig was there helping us deal, just like always.

Alex - Stupid ass!

Eve - Alex!

Alex - The only reason he helped everyone else was to avoid helping himself because focusing on himself would mean facing his time as Thuvan, dealing with what that monster did.

Eve - (sighs) Fighting the darkness within is the hardest battle for any warrior to fight. Many try, many fail. Craig has a tough battle. Its time he faced it.

Alex - That "SQUAD" episode exposed him. We all see it now.

Eve - You're right. Let me go get James, Jeff and Morgan. We'll go to Craig together. If he sees that we're all there for him, he'll find the strength to get through. Get yourself ready. We'll meet outside Craig's building in half an hour. If he's not there we'll go out looking. Alright?

Alex - Yeah, an intervention! It's Dr. Phil time!

Alex nods as Eve laughs at her a little before leaving her apartment. As the door closes Alex thinks about something for a minute while looking at the closed door. She gets up and looks out her window. She sees Eve crossing the street on her way back to the centre. Alex runs to the closet grabs her jacket and rushes out of her loft.

Cut to Craig's apartment. The blinds are closed so it is very dark. There is a knock at the door.

Alex - (voice) Craig?

The door opens slightly and Alex pokes her head in

Alex - (half joking)You know Craig, keeping your door unlocked is not a safe practice to have in New York.

Getting no answer Alex walks in closing the door behind her. She looks around. She peeks in his bedroom and finds no one there. She then opens the door to the bathroom. She finds Craig sprawled out on the bathroom floor near the toilet.

Alex - Craig!! Oh my God!!

Alex runs over and props Craig up. Craig groans in pain

Craig - What are you doing?

Alex - I've been worried sick about you. (lifts Craig up and drags him to the kitchen. She props him against the counter and wets a cloth to put across his forehead) Where have you been?

Craig suddenly jerks toward the sink and throws up in it.

Alex - (sighs sadly) Of course. You've been drinking. (puts the cloth down and takes his head in her hands so he is looking at her) Why are you doing this to yourself?

Craig doesn't respond and just turns away from her and drags himself over to the couch here he plops himself down. Alex sighs angrily picks up the cloth and throws into the sink.

Alex - All right!! I get it! You're hurting! I know. (walks over to stand in front of him. She kneels so that she is looking at him.) I can help you Craig. Let me help you.

Craig - (looks at Alex incredulously) Help me?

Alex - I understand . . .what Thuvan did . . . what he made you do was sick but you cannot hold yourself responsible. You have to separate yourself from Thuvan and accept that what happened wasn't your doing.

Craig - Tell that to the people who hold me responsible for losing their loved ones. It was me they saw destroy their homes. It was me they saw me laugh at their pain! (pokes at his head and practically hisses at Alex) I can still hear them scream!

Alex - Drinking yourself into oblivion is not going to help!

Craig - ANYTHING IS BETTER THAN THIS PAIN!

Craig stands up quickly and backhands Alex!! Alex falls to the ground but scrambles quickly to get back up. She holds her palm to her cheek as she looks at Craig in shock. Craig is shocked by his own actions. He breathes heavily as he holds out his hands to Alex and slowly approaches her

Alex - You hit me!

Craig - Alex, . . . I'm sorry . . . I didn't mean to . . . (Takes a hold of her by the shoulders and pushes her back to the wall) I feel so alone . . . I just need something . . .someone . . someone to take away the pain (begins to nuzzle at her neck)

Alex - (cringes) Craig stop it . . This isn't you.

Craig starts to rub her shoulders harder and starts to kiss her neck more roughly

Alex - (panicking) Craig please stop!

Craig stops and looks at her with anguish. He starts breathing hard. He sheds angry tears. He grabs her roughly by the face, squeezing hard

Craig - You said you wanted to help me!!

Craig goes for her again but Alex pushes him off. He comes back at her and pushes her harder against the wall and kisses her hard.

Alex - (pushes him off) NO!!!

Alex suddenly blasts a bright and powerful energy beam. She blasts Craig off her and he flies into the kitchen counter against the sink. The force of the blast sends him crashing so hard that the pipes explode and water sprays everywhere

Cut to outside Craig's apartment at the elevator. It opens up revealing Eve, Morgan and James.

Eve - Thanks for coming along. If this is going to work Craig needs to know how much we all care.

James - I thought Alex was going to meet us outside.

Eve- (uneasy and worried) Me too.

Morgan - I'm sorry Jeff couldn't make it but he a meeting with our client.

They suddenly hear Alex's scream and the commotion coming from Craig's apartment.

Alex - (voice) NO!

They hear the blast and the crash! Alex bursts out of the apartment running right into Eve. Alex's face is streaked with tears.

Eve - Alex!?

Alex looks at Eve in horror. She pushes Eve back and runs down the stairwell near by.

Eve - James, Morgan go after Alex

James - But . . .

Eve - NOW!!

Cut to inside Craig's apartment where she sees the damage and Craig barely conscious. She runs over to him, cringing at the water spraying everywhere. She shields herself slightly as she crouches under the counter and finds the valve to turn off the water. She looks at Craig as he picks himself up slowly. She shakes her head and sighs.

Cut to the back of the building. Alex is crouching low by the dumpster and is crying. James and Morgan burst out the back door and see Alex. They both run over and quickly James gets on his knees beside Alex cradling her in his arms

James - (stroking her hair) What happened?

Alex - I just wanted to see if he was okay. I know I should have waited but . . .

James - What happened to you?

Alex - I was just trying to help but he got so upset . . . .so rough . . .he . .he tried to . ..

Morgan - (sighs and puts a comforting hand on her arm) Are you okay?

James - (to Morgan) What is she talking about?

Alex - (not really listening) He was just so rough

James looks from Alex to Morgan shocked, realizing what Craig tried to do. Morgan nods and looks back to Alex

Alex- He was hurting me and I. . . I

James - What are you saying Alex?

Alex - (regaining her composure) It was really bad.

Fade to Eve with Craig in Craig's apartment. Craig is leaning against the counter still in a puddle of water. Eve comes out of the bathroom and hands him a towel

Eve - You want to tell me what happened?

Craig grabs the towel and stands up. He pushes Eve out of the way and he stumbles to the couch

Craig - Is Alex okay?

Eve - I don't know because I don't know what happened.

Craig - (sighs) I just lost control.

Eve - I know you've been drinking. I can smell it off you. Continuing on like this hurts you and everyone around you

Craig - (gets up aggressively and stares her down)THIS IS WHO I AM NOW!! DON'T YOU GET IT? I'M A MONSTER!

Eve slaps Craig in the face. Craig looks back at her in utter shock

Eve - Stop it!! Just stop it!! You are not a monster so stop behaving like one. Do you think that you're allowed to because of the pain you faced. That you are somehow owed? Well, take it from one who knows. There is no salvation for that kind of behavior. It changes nothing!!

Craig - I don't know how to stop the pain.

Eve - It doesn't stop. You almost never get a chance to right what you've done. All you can do is balance the scales.

Craig - (shakes his head) Leave me alone (Craig heads for the door)

Eve - (Eve grabs at him) Please Craig. I know this is painful but you have to face this or you will never heal, you have to face what happened while you were Thuvan!

Craig - I can't. I just can't!

Eve - I'm am trying to help you find a way back to who you were. Remember Craig! You helped me rediscover myself when what I did as Livia threatened to over take me. Follow your own advice, your own words Craig. Remember the man that you are!

Craig - (turns back sharply and points his finger at Eve, jabbing at air) That man is dead! He's gone and he's never coming back! I can't be him, I can't even try anymore.

Eve - Craig!!

Craig - (turns back to the door) LEAVE ME ALONE!!!!

Craig slams the door behind him.

COMMERCIAL

Cut to a simple suburban street. We pan up to see the houses along the street. The houses have been burnt and are falling apart. We pan along the street and see it's deserted. We pan around and see Craig standing in the middle of the street looking at the houses. He brings his hand to his head and squeezes his eyes shut as if trying to block out the screams as they grow louder in his head.

Craig falls to his knees and pounds the pavement with his fist. He looks up to sky as the sun sets and turns the sky to red. Craig shakes his head and sighs. He gets up and walks away from the street

Cut to Jeff's new apartment/ office. We pan through the reception and in to his personal office. Jeff is sitting behind his desk. What appears to be a woman who we can only see the back of sits in front.

Jeff - All right Miss Faulkner (hands her a file folder) I promised I'd keep you updated and this is what I have so far on the person you wanted me to find

We pan around to see a dark haired woman dressed in black with dark sunglasses on

Mrs. Faulkner - It's Mrs. Faulkner thank you.(looks through the folder) This is it?

Jeff - You gave me very limited information to work with but I have narrowed down the search considerably

Mrs. Faulkner - Why do I have the feeling you're holding things back?

Jeff - I have to admit I am perplexed. I did some research, background checks, you were one of the victims of the suburban raid last year. The one with vicious animals and gangs raiding the homes

Mrs. Faulkner - And killing the people

Jeff - Then why haven't you gone to the police and asked them to re open the investigation?

Mrs. Faulkner - They won't do it. The police have closed the investigation because they think they've caught all the men that were involved in that raid but they haven't. There is still one left.

Jeff- The man you want me to find . . .

Mrs. Faulkner - Is the man who was behind it all.

Jeff - I've checked the reports. No one can find this man. This "leader" is dead.

Mrs. Faulkner - He isn't!! I saw him. I know he is alive!! This is your job. I hired you!! Now find him!!

Jeff - I need to know that you're not asking me to find a man that you intend to harm.

Mrs. Faulkner doesn't answer she just looks away and sighs

Mrs. Faulkner - I can take my business elsewhere

Jeff - (sighs and feels conflicted) Let me follow up on the leads I already have. If any of them pan out I can take it to the police. They can re open the investigation and catch the man your looking for. You can have justice.

Mrs. Faulkner - There is no justice! There is only suffering!

Mrs. Faulkner storms out of Jeff's office. He sits back down at his desk and breaths heavily putting his head in his hands. He looks up and looks through the folder he handed Mrs. Faulkner earlier.

Jeff - I've got to tell Craig!

Jeff picks up the folder and heads out of his office.

Cut to outside his building where Jeff rushes out the door. He doesn't see Mrs. Faulkner near the entrance concealed by shadows. She steps out and removes her sunglasses, her dark eyes glaring. She watches Jeff leave in his car. She follows him.

Cut to the centre. The last few people wave good-bye as they pile out for the night. Morgan comes in after a minute.

Morgan - Uh, I locked the door for you guys.

Morgan twirls the keys around on her finger before tossing them to James and goes to sit by Alex and Eve

Eve - Did he hurt you?

Alex - No more than I hurt him. I wanted to help him but I think I made things worse

James - This was never something that can be made better with a few wise words.

Eve - He wants to be punished for what happened. The problem is he could be out there doing a hundred and one terrible things that could land him deeper trouble. (throws her head back in her hands and covers her eyes as she groans)

Suddenly there is a fierce knocking at the door. James goes out the entrance to open the door. Jeff comes barreling with James behind him.

Jeff - (waves a folder around) I didn't know what else to do. I had to come here because I don't want Craig to get into trouble. This is bad

Alex - (throws her hands up in the air) As if this day couldn't get any worse!!

Jeff - The woman that hired me wants me to find the man behind the suburban raid last year. Except the man she wants me to find is Craig

Morgan - What?

Jeff - The description she gave me matches Craig. All the leads I've found point to him.

Cut to just outside the entrance where Mia Faulkner is listening in. We hear Alex's voice

Alex - (voice) Circumstantial! Coincidence! It could be anyone.

Cut back to inside the centre

Jeff - (shakes his head) Alex, Mia Faulkner's husband was killed during the Suburban Raid. Remember how the bikers had come in from the other entrance in order to get to Craig's family first. Apparently they did some other damage as well. They set fire to houses, they stole, they hurt, and Mia Faulkner's husband was shot dead.

Eve - We've got to find Craig.

Jeff - Eve, by all rights I should take this to the police

Eve - And arrest Craig for something he didn't do.

Jeff - I don't want to!! But Mrs. Faulkner saw Craig not Thuvan.

Eve - But it wasn't him!!! He wasn't in control you know that. We have to stop this woman from finding Craig. At this point they could kill each other. Alex, where would Craig go in the state he's in?

Alex - The Edge! That was the last bar he went to before that morning he woke up covered in blood. But that was years ago.

Eve- It might not be where he's at but it's a place to start looking. Come on let's go!!

Mia Faulkner bursts in suddenly with a gun pointed, armed and ready

Mia - Don't you move!

Everyone stops short in their tracks both surprised and scared!!

Mia - Do you think I'm stupid?!! I knew "Craig Summers" was your friend!! Why do you think I came to you to find him!! I saw that episode of "SQUAD". That's how I knew he was still alive. Then when I saw your ad I knew you'd lead me right to him.

Eve - (calming) Mia . . .

Mia - (fires a shot that misses Eve but hits the glass behind her) SHUT UP!! THAT BASTARD KILLED MY HUSBAND NOW I KILL HIM!!

Mia fires a round of shots at James Morgan Alex Eve and Jeff. They all hit the floor in order to get out of the way. This gives Mia time to flee

Eve - We have to go after her!!

Alex - What about Craig?

Eve - We'll have to split up! If you find Craig, bring him back here!! I'm going to try and intercept Mia. I can talk with her

Morgan - Wait! Maybe we should have them meet. Craig can explain to her what happened. This might be what Craig needs.

Eve - He doesn't need to get killed. It has to end somewhere but it won't be finished with murder!!

Cut to later in the night. Craig is swigging down another shot in a bar. He throws some cash on the counter and stumbles out.

Cut to out side the bar. The sign over the door says "The Edge" Across from the bar Mia is leaning against her car. She sees Craig stumble out. She walks briskly over to him

Mia - CRAIG!! Craig Summers!!!

Craig turns to her not knowing who she is

Craig - Yeah? Who are you?

Mia - (brings out a tazer) Vengeance!!!

Mia suddenly sticks the device into Craig electrocuting him viciously!! He scream's in pain as he is brought to his knees!! Mia sticks it in to him again and again until the pain knocks him out.

Mia sticks the device in her pocket and looks at Craig with disgust. She picks him up from under the arms roughly and throws him into the trunk of her car.

Cut to Eve as she is paying a taxi driver.

Eve- Thanks!

Eve walks over towards "The Edge" as she looks around trying to spot Mia. She slows down as she sees a woman dressed in black quickly get into a car as if afraid she'll be seen. The trunk of the car isn't closed properly. Eve can see Craig unconscious lying in there

Eve - OH NO!! CRAIG!!!

The car begins to speed off and Eve breaks into a run after it. She runs really fast trying to catch up with the car

Eve - HEY HEY!!!!!

Eve runs fast taking longer strides and pumping her arms. She grits her teeth as she makes her way up to the back of the car. She hits the car with her fist trying to catch Mia's attention!!

Eve - MIA STOP!!!

Eve suddenly jumps and catches on to the back of the car. Mia begins to swerve all on the road trying to get Eve off. Mia suddenly makes a huge, swift and very sudden U turn. The vicious swerve causes Eve to be thrown off. She rolls on to the road and rolls to a stop by the curb unconscious.

COMMERCIAL

Cut to a close up of Craig's face as he comes to. He groans as he struggles to sit upright and finds he is tied up and his hands are bound. He looks around the dark room he's in.

Pan around the dark room. Light streams in through a large window from a street light outside. There is dust and ashes lying over the floor. Other than a chair in the corner, the room is bare. Craig struggles to finally sit up straight

Voice - Oh you're awake now are you?

Craig looks toward the voice and sees the woman who captured him. She is sitting in the lone chair in the corner of the room. He did not see her before because of the dark clothes she is wearing. She stands up and walks into the light. Her dark eyes burn into Craig.

Craig - Who are you?

Mia - You don't remember me? I'm sure I'm just one of many who's life you destroyed. I'm sure you were too busy laughing as my husband fell dead in my arms!

Craig squints and takes a good look at the woman before him. The look on Craig's face changes from confusion to shock to horror as he finally remembers Mia.

Mia - (gestures at her surroundings) How do you like my humble abode? I admit it's a bit bare. Those gang members of yours burnt it out. Many of the houses on this street were damaged. This part of the burbs is shut down now. Everyone moved away. I couldn't bare to leave though. At first it was just the memories of my husband. Now it serves as a reminder of what you did and what still needs to be done.

Craig - I . . .

Mia - (throws a glass and smashes it against the wall near Craig's head) IT WAS YOU!! I SAW YOU! DON'T LIE! YOU WILL INSULT ME IF YOU LIE. DID YOU THINK I WOULDN'T FIND YOU? THAT YOU WOULD GET AWAY WITH MURDER?!!

Craig - No, I deserve to die.

Mia - (picks up and axe) You're not afraid?

Craig - No.

Mia - You should be

Close up on Mia's face as she brings down the axe!

Cut to Eve lying on the ground near the curb. Her eyes flutter open as she grabs her head in pain. She gets up and looks around finding she is alone and Mia is long gone

Eve - No . . (takes out her cell phone) Got to call the others (starts to dial but gets nothing but static. She looks and sees the battery is dead) I hate technology! (throws the phone away) All right . . . Think! Where would Mia take Craig? What would she do to him? . . . (thinks for a moment) She'd take Craig back to the place where her pain began! The suburbs

Eve hails down a taxi. We see her get in and say something to the driver. He nods and speeds off.

Cut back to the dark burnt room. We see the axe embedded in the wall beside Craig's head. His eyes are wide at how close the axe is to his head.

Craig - If you are going to kill me, just do it!

Mia - (grabs him by the hair) I want you to feel fear! Pain! I want to feel everything I felt when you destroyed my life. I want you to suffer!

Craig - I am suffering. You're my only hope to end this

Mia - (Back hands him) I DON'T WANT TO BE YOUR SALVATION!! I WANT TO BE YOUR NIGHTMARE!!!(Mia begins to punch Craig and pound on him mercilessly) THIS IS HOW IT FEELS!! THIS IS HOW IT FEELS!!!

Eve - (voice) STOP!!!

Mia turns around to face Eve who is standing in the doorway. Craig eyes open wide

Craig - (spurting blood) Eve no!! Get out of here!!

Mia - Why do you defend this monster?

Eve - He is not a monster!! He is my friend!! He is a good person who was caught in a situation he had no control over. Now he's paying the price for someone else's sins. Mia, please. Let me help Craig, let me help you.

Mia - Get out! I have no business with you

Eve - (stand her ground) If you insist on being judge jury and executioner for Craig then you have to be the same for me.

Mia - Why? Who are you?

Eve - I'm the reason why your husband is dead.

Mia picks up a shovel and screams violently before whacking Eve over the head with it knocking her unconscious!!

Cut to outside "The Edge" James and Alex walk out shaking their heads. They meet up with Jeff and Morgan.

Morgan - Hey, did you find him?

James - No. Craig wasn't in there. Apparently he left long ago.

Jeff - Maybe Eve found him or at least got to Mia before that.

Alex - She would have called

Morgan looks to the ground and sees Eve cell. She checks the batteries

Morgan - Not if the batteries were dead on her cell (holds up the phone)

James looks around the area while Jeff and Alex argue. Morgan follows James

Morgan - James?

James suddenly has a vision that sends him falling back into Morgan's arms

Mia sticks the device into Craig electrocuting him viciously!! He screams in pain as he is brought to his knees!! Mia sticks it in to him again and again until the pain knocks him out.

Cut to Eve on the street outside the bar

Eve - Of course! She'd take Craig back to the place where the first huge change in her life took place. Where her pain began! The suburbs.

*end James vision*

James is jolted out of his vision

James - (gets up still shaking) Mia . . she took Craig . . .Eve went after them.

Jeff - Where'd they go?

James - Remember the raid on Craig's neighborhood last year? She's there.

Cut to Eve waking up in the dark room. She finds she is tied up next to Craig. She groans as she sits herself up next to Craig

Craig - (shakes his head) Why are you here Eve?

Eve - My intent was to stop Mia from capturing you but I was too late. I don't know how we're going to get through this Craig. But we have to tell her what happened to you last year.

Mia - SHUT UP!!

Craig and Eve look over to Mia who takes a swig of a wine bottle. She has fury in her eyes.

Mia - What the hell are you talking about?

Eve - Tell her Craig

Craig - She'll never believe me!

Mia - (throws wine in his face) Shut up!!

Eve - Stop it!! Leave him alone!!

Mia - Why!

Eve - A long time ago I ordered a family to death, a family of a man named Thuvan. To punish me, to make me feel that pain he felt, he took Craig, he took over his body and he invaded his soul.

Mia - You're insane

Eve - Thuvan took over his mind

Mia - (picks her up by Eve's hair) Stop it!!

Eve - (continues) Craig had no control and no choice!

Mia - SHUT UP!!

Mia throws Eve's head against the wall. Eve is still conscious but she slumps to the floor

Craig - Leave her alone!! She's not part of this!!

Mia picks up a knife and slashes Craig arm

Mia - (to Eve) You're just as bad as he is!! (screams)You get away with murder!

Eve - But we don't. We are paying for it everyday. You don't know what its like to deal with that. I know you are not a bad person. But killing us will not sate your anger. If you do, you'll realize the person you were is dead and you've become everything you hate.

Mia - (slaps Eve) He killed my husband!!!

Eve - (bares the pain as her cheek turns red) No. I'm trying to tell you that Thuvan did. It may have been Craig's body but it was Thuvan. If you want to punish Craig then let him live with this. He is punishing himself more then you ever could. He wants you to kill him!!

Mia - He should die!! A life for my husband's life!!

Eve - Is this how you want to honour your husband's life? With more death!! Do you think it's going to end with killing Craig? I know for a fact, someone will come after you for killing me and Craig and they will feel exactly the way you feel now.

Mia - What do you mean?

Eve - This is a vicious cycle. We have friends and family too. Our friends were broken when Thuvan took Craig, take him again and they'll come after you!

Mia - I just . . . I miss my husband so much. I feel so lost . . (looks to Craig breaking into tears) He was only trying to protect me!!

Eve - Craig didn't have a choice but you have the choice now. You can end this. Do it for your husband. Your husband saw within you a light worth protecting. Draw on that, don't throw it away.

Mia slowly moves toward Eve preparing to untie her when Alex crashes through the window. Mia startled, moves back from Eve and Craig.

Eve- Alex no!!

Craig - Alex!

Morgan, James and Jeff burst through the door and runs into the room. To distract Mia, Alex jumps on her and tackles her down. Morgan, Jeff and James run over immediately and untie Eve and Craig.

Eve - What are you doing here?

James - I got a vision! We thought you were in trouble

Eve - We were just starting to get through to her!!

As Eve get up after being untied she sees Mia kick Alex in the stomach. Alex stumbles back slightly winded but moves to attack Mia again. Mia sticks her foot out but Alex grabs on to it pulling Mia down to the ground.

Mia - (screaming) NO! LET GO!!

Eve - Alex, let go of her!!

Eve pulls Alex off Mia and holds her back.

Alex - What are you doing?!! She was going to kill you

Alex sees Mia come up behind Eve with a shovel.

Alex - (pushes Eve out of they way) GET DOWN!!

Alex catches the shovel as it comes down and flips Mia over making her let go of the shovel. James and Jeff are hoisting Craig up, still weak from his beating. He sees the fear in Mia's eyes and remembers that same fear. Alex is about to go after Mia with the shovel when Morgan jumps Alex and gets the shovel out of her hands

Morgan - Have you lost it!!?

Mia gets up again with the electrocuting device and screams running towards Jeff, James and Craig. She presses the button lighting the device up and lunges for Craig. Alex throws a lightening ball blowing up the device in Mia's hand. Mia screams and drops the weapon as it scorches her hand. She looks to Alex shocked. Alex lunges to attack her

Eve - Alex NO!!

Eve jumps on to Alex trying to hold her back but Alex throws Eve into the wall. Alex charges a huge lightening ball in her hands aiming it at Mia. She lifts it high. Mia is paralyzed in fear as she looks at Alex. Craig sees this and he pulls away from Jeff and James.

Alex throws the sphere just as Craig jumps in front of Mia taking all of the blast. He falls back into Mia's arms unconscious. Mia is shocked. Alex is shocked beyond all belief as she realized what she has done. Eve gets up and runs over to Craig and checks his pulse. She sighs and looks to Alex.

Eve - He's still alive.

Alex drops to her knees in relief. Suddenly everyone hears sirens in the distance. Alex jumps up and runs out of the house leaving everyone to see what comes from the sirens.

Fade out and fade in to a police station the next day. Craig and Mia are separated by glass and are talking over a phone. Mia is in a prison jumpsuit. It has been arranged for Craig to visit Mia.

Mia - (tired and annoyed) So I've been charged with kidnapping, reckless endangerment, illegal possession of a weapon and disruption of the peace. I guess this is some sort of ironic justice.

Craig - I dropped the charges. I'm also working on getting other charges against you dropped. You'll be free to go soon.

Mia - (surprised and confused) Why?

Craig - Because Eve is right. This has to end. I can't change what happened to your husband. But I can make sure it doesn't happen to anyone else. You deserve to be free from jail and from pain.

Mia - Is that why you saved me from that crazy friend?

Craig - You love so much, that's why your pain is so great. You can do something amazing with that love. I hope you can find a way. That's why I'm giving you the chance

Mia - (looks at him with awe, understanding and finally compassion) It really wasn't you, was it?

Then the rainstorm came, over me
And I felt my spirit break

The guard comes up to Mia

Guard - You are free to go

Mia - (looks to Craig) I don't know it this means anything but I forgive you.

Craig and Mia smile at each other. Craig gets up and walks out meeting Jeff who was waiting for him at the door

Jeff - Good to go?

Craig - Yeah. Listen Jeff, thanks for arranging this.

Jeff - Don't worry about it and I mean that, about everything. I got your back

Well I try to say there's nothing wrong
But inside felt that all in all

Craig - Thanks man

Craig and Jeff walk out giving each other strong pats on the back.

Love can help me know my name.

Fade to the centre later that day. Craig and Eve are talking at the juice bar

Craig - Will it ever stop hurting?

Eve - No, and some days are going to be worse than others. All you can do is muddle through. It will ease in time.

Craig - And until then?

Eve - That part I can't answer. You have to forge your own path to redemption. Forgiving yourself is a start. Mia forgave you.

Craig - It wasn't as freeing as I thought it would be.

Eve - You are a good man Craig . . .what you said about who you used to be. . .

Craig - I'm not that man anymore. I'm different now and I have to accept that.

Eve - (silent for a moment) I believe that no matter how much we change, we always keep parts of the past, of who we were inside us. We are the sum of all our parts. Draw on the strength of the man you used to be. It won't lead you astray.

Craig - How do you know?

Eve - Because you never lead me astray.

Craig - (laughs a little) The sum of all my parts.

Natalie - (voice from outside) I'm telling you Jeff there is something wrong with Alex.

Jeff and Morgan enter the centre with Natalie as the front, worried and frustrated.

Eve - What's going on?

Natalie - I've been trying to find Alex on the psychic plain. She's not there. I can sense everyone in this room from a mile away but I could be standing on top of Alex and not know she was there. Zip zilch nada! It's like she doesn't exist. James, when was the last time you had a vision about Alex?

James - Right before Arubis . . . and the orb (looks to Jeff)

Eve - I thought that was nothing

Jeff - So did I.

Eve - I think you better tell us everything that happened while Craig and I were away. What is going on with Alex?!!

Cut to Alex in her loft. She in on her knees and rolling around in pain. Alex's hair is wild and her face is covered in tears. She is grabbing on to her head sobbing and screaming

Voices - Kill her! Kill her! Kill her!

Alex - AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!
