Fade to Craig walking inside the Temple of Eli in Turkey

Fade to Craig inside the temple kneeling before one of the priests that we recognize as Azariah also known as Arch Angel Raphael.

Craig - I don't know what to do. The demons grow stronger and they're becoming too much for Alex and I to handle. I fear evil will over take this earth before long. I need help. I didn't know where else to turn but to the wisdom of Eli and his priests.

Azariah holds something we recognize as the talisman of Eli which contains Eve's essence and spirit. He puts it behind his back out of sight from Craig.

Azariah -(sighs)There is nothing that I can tell you.

Fade out

PRESENT

Fade in to a beautifully furnished bedroom. The sun shines in from the balcony window over to a large plush bed where Eve sleeps. She opens her eyes and blinks a little bit. She looks at the bed she's sleeping in and suddenly bolts out of bed. She looks around the room in a state of panic. She recognizes nothing.

Eve - What in the world??

Just then Kevin walks in the room

Kevin - Finally, you're up!

Eve - (shocked beyond all belief quickly backing away) KEVIN!!!

Kevin -(taken aback but then looks curiously at Eve) Evelyn?

Eve - (confused)Who?

Kevin - Evelyn, what are you playing at?

Eve - WHAT ARE YOU PLAYING AT? WHY AM I HERE?

Kevin - (as if talking to a small child) Well Evelyn, last time I checked, as my girlfriend you wanted to be here.

Eve - Who's Evelyn!?

Kevin - (confused)Um . . You are.

Eve - (really upset) My name is Eve!

Kevin - Who?

Eve pushes past Kevin and out of the bedroom and in to a big apartment that over looks Manhattan. Eve looks around the apartment then outside the window. Scared and panicking she looks back to Kevin, who is looking back at her confused.

Eve - WHAT IS GOING ON!!!!???

Eve starts running around the large apartment knocking over flowers and vases and objects from their places as she tries to look for a way out in panic and fury. Kevin runs around frantically after her and she manages to evade him. She has no idea what is going on.

Kevin finally catches Eve by the wrist. She makes a move to flip him over but Kevin does not budge. Eve stops for a moment surprised at Kevin's strength. She begins then to struggle frantically to get away from him. She tugs and pulls.

Eve - (struggles with all her might) LET ME GO!! LET ME GO! WHY HAVE YOU KIDNAPPED ME!!!??

Kevin - WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?(grabs her by the shoulders and shakes her a little and stops her from struggling) STOP!

Eve stops out of shock and fear.

Kevin - What has gotten into you?

Eve - (outraged) What have you done to me?

Kevin - (clearly confused) You're not making any sense.

Eve - JUST TELL ME WHAT GOING ON!!!(She takes a deep breath and calms down a little.) Just tell me something . . . anything.

Kevin - (blinks a few time trying to understand why she's asking but decides to humor her) Okay. . . . You're Evelyn Mallory. You're my girlfriend. We live together in my apartment on Campus . . . Seriously, what the hell is wrong with you? (storms off)

Eve - No! Kevin wait!

Kevin - NO!! I'm going to class. When I get back I expect you to be back to normal!!(storms out of the apartment and slams to the door and locks it behind him)

Upon hearing the door being locked Eve runs to the door trying to jerk it open then pounds on the door. After getting no response she runs out on to the balcony. She is about to jump off the balcony when she gets on the railing but upon looking down she suddenly get very dizzy. She slowly slides off the railing back onto the balcony and stumbles back into the apartment.

Eve - I'm afraid of heights? This isn't right! What is going on? (looks up and sees a phone) That's it! I'll just call the others!

Eve walks over to the phone and first thing she does is call the centre. The operator comes up

Operator- (voice) We're sorry. The number you are calling is not available. . .

Eve hangs up the phone. She is confused. She tries Alex's number but the operator just repeats the same message. Eve's thinking she might have dialed the wrong number by accident and tries again but the operator comes up with the same message.

Eve - It's like the numbers don't exist.

Eve tries Craig number

Male voice - (over the phone) Hello?

Eve - (smiles and brightens up) CRAIG!!

Male voice - No Craig here. You have the wrong number.(hangs up)

Eve - What!!!?

Eve tries James number and gets his answering machine

Eve - (mutters to herself) Great.(to the answering machine) Listen James. It's Eve. I'm trapped at Kevin's apartment. I have no idea what is going on or where the apartment is but I need you guys to get together and find a way to contact me.(hangs up)

Eve finally tries Jeff's number. She gets his answering machine. With a frustrated scream she throws the phone on the ground. She pulls at her hair panicking

Eve - (look up to the ceiling) WHAT IS GOING ON? WHY AM I HERE? (falls to her knees crying a little) I don't understand. . . .(takes a few deep breaths. She sits up again and wipes her tears and thinks for a moment) Okay. First things first. I need to calm down. I just need to be patient and play this out to find out what's going on.

Eve kneels down and closes her eyes. She begins to pray

Cut to later in the day. Kevin walks in and finds Eve. She has changed from her nightgown into a knee length baby blue dress. She is kneeling as she was before, her eyes closed and her hands folded on her lap. He walks up to her and looks at her confused.

Kevin - Are you back to normal?

Eve - (slowly opens her eyes)Depends on how you define normal.

Kevin grabs her arm and pulls her up.

Kevin - Whatever. We're going to meet my friends so keep your trap shut. Don't embarrass me.

Eve - You know I don't remember you being such a jerk.

Kevin quickly backhands her. Eve holds her cheek where he struck her and looks back at Kevin with venom. He matches her gaze

Kevin - (holds a finger up) That was strike one. Two more and you'll be sorry (grabs her by the arm and drags her out) Come on.

Cut to Campus grounds of NYU. Eve looks around the campus at all the people going by. She follows closely behind Kevin but is trying to come to terms with what is going on. Nothing seems to have changed except for her situation. Kevin runs ahead a little and runs over to his four friends. He all gives them high five's and hand shakes. Among the boys Eve sees James. He is smiling as he gives Kevin a friendly handshake. Eve's face lights up and smiles relieved. She walks up quickly and is about to approach James when Kevin grabs her roughly and puts his arm around her smiling. Eve quickly stills herself remembering she must play along.

Kevin - Guys this is Evelyn. Evelyn (gestures to his friends) This is Mark, Greg, Bryton and James.

Eve smiles politely and looks pointedly at James but he looks away avoiding eye contact. This confuses Eve but Kevin pulls his arm tighter around her and waist diverts her attention.

Kevin - So, we all set to party?!

Mark - Yeah we just have to pick up a few more things

Bryton - (gets freaked out) Well you better get it done! You know the laws go into effect at sundown

Kevin - You don't seriously believe all that police crap, do you? I bet anything the government invented these laws to control us. There's no unknown danger. There's no demons . . .it's just those crazy women running around.

Bryton - I still think we need to get going. The last thing we need is to mess with the boys in blue. So let's just get that stuff and get out of here

Eve - (quickly) I need to talk to James!

James looks shocked

Kevin - Why?

James - (quickly interjects) Um, we have a class together! She needs talk to me about an assignment.

Kevin - (sighs annoyed) Fine. Make it fast.

Eve drags James over to the side away from Kevin.

Eve- Thanks for that

James - You owe me big. We don't have a class together. I'd rather you didn't speak to me at all when Kevin is around, you know what he's like, paranoid and delusional.

Eve - James, you can cut the act! It's me. Eve!

James - What?

Eve - Has the world gone completely insane?! James, please tell me you know who I am.

James - (shakes his head) I don't know what has gotten into you but . . .

Eve - James! Shut up for a minute and just look at me. Just look. Don't you see anything. Don't you remember anything from long ago.

James - (shakes his head) Should I?

Eve - (lets out a frustrated sigh) What wacky alternate universe have I fallen in to?

A police officer blows his whistle and yells at Eve, James, Kevin and his friends over at the side. It's Glen

Glen - YOU KNOW THE RULES!! No standing in one place for too long. Move it along.

Eve recognizes Glen and suddenly remembers Jeff.

Eve - Jeff . . . that's it. I've got to talk to him. Find Alex and Craig and maybe Natalie

James - Who?

Kevin - (snaps his fingers) Evelyn! Over here now!

Eve - (looks to James then to Kevin) Sorry Kevin but I'm not your lap dog and I'm not going to stand around and wait for you to hit me for strike two and three.

Eve quickly takes off her heels turns around and breaks into a run in the direction of the police station.

Glen - HEY! (runs after her)

Kevin - (furious)EVELYN!!

Cut to a huge, more technologically advanced, police station. We pan over to the doors where Eve bursts through. She stops in the middle of the station looking wildly around.

Eve - JEFF?? JEFF!!

Glen bursts through the doors and falls to the ground out of breath. He stumbles to get up and stumbles after Eve out of breath and panting. Eve sees this and breaks into a run again

Glen - STOP . . . .(panting) HER!!

A couple more officers spring into action and catch Eve and hold her by the arms. She struggles to get free. Jeff runs out of an office to see what the commotion is. Eve sees him

Eve - JEFF!!

Jeff looks confused and stares blankly at Eve then looks to Glen who is leaning against a desk with his head down panting.

Jeff - What's going on here?!!

Glen - Sorry . . . Commander Morrison . . . It's just . . . that girl (points to Eve). . . I was telling her and some other kids to move it along but she just ran off.

Jeff - (rolls his eyes) I really don't have time to deal with this. (turns around to walks back into his office)

Eve - Jeff wait! I need to speak to you about Natalie!

Jeff stops short and turns back around. He looks around at the officers looking back at him expecting some sort of leadership

Jeff - Well, since you're here.

Cut to inside Jeff's office. Eve steps in with Jeff behind her. He closes his door and goes to sit behind his desk motioning for Eve to take a seat. She takes a deep breath.

Eve - Thanks for helping me back there Jeff.

Jeff - (angered at her familiar manner) You will address me as Commander and show proper respect!

Eve - (sighs) So you're a commander?

Jeff - A lot of the police chief's have been killed over the years. We tend to go through police officers pretty fast. The world is a terrifying place these days.

Eve- (plays along) I understand. One needs to be ruthless to survive.

Jeff - That's right. One needs to be strong, unwavering. And I am. In fact, if these men here suspect that I act in any way that's less, they'll be in here within seconds to "remove" me from my post. So tell me what you know about my sister and those like her and you can avoid jail time for interrupting my busy schedule.

Eve - I need to speak with her.

Jeff - (stands up quickly with fury grabs Eve by the throat and slams her into the wall) ARE YOU ONE OF THEM?!!! ARE YOU ONE OF THOSE UNNATURAL FREAKS?

Eve - (frightened) NO!!

Jeff - Her unnatural ability makes her a liability. She presents unnecessary danger to the public and must be kept locked away along with others like her.

Eve - She's you sister!!!

Jeff - She is a freak!

Eve - But she's knows things! I need to figure out what she knows to . . . (quickly thinks up a lie) to find those like her.

Jeff - (slowly let's go over her) What do you mean?

Eve - (puts her hands to her throat rubbing the soreness) I want to be an informant, a spy for you. I was hoping if I could talk to her I could find others like her to capture them and prove my loyalty.

Jeff - You act like you just woke up this morning. You can't talk to her. No one can. All she spouts in nonsense. For three years she has been acting insane. I had to lock her up.

Eve - Where?

Jeff - Here. Where else? Prisons and asylums overflowing with criminals and freaks. All the precincts have been equipped to hold deviants. I keep Natalie here where I can keep an eye on her. No one can know she's my sister. And I don't need you to tell me where the deviants are. With the technology in this precinct I keep an eye on the city. No one breaks our laws without us knowing. There are few who become fugitives but they're eventually captured and dealt with.

Eve - I need to see Natalie.

Jeff - Unacceptable.

Eve - Please. I have away of getting through to people like her. I can find out more, like where the fugitives are. You'll become the most successful police chief in the entire city, no one will challenge you. People would feel safer with you in complete control.

Jeff - (looks at her with a slight smile and ambition) I suppose we can arrange a visit.

Cut to a cell door opening. Eve and Glen stand there while two officers go over them with metal detectors. When they are cleared they begin to walk down a long hall. The hall is lined with glass cells. Eve looks at the people described as "freaks" writhing around on their cots like they are in pain.

Glen and Eve stop in front of a glass cell. They see Natalie on the floor. She's a mess. She is muttering to herself and rolls around on the floor with a spaced out look in her eyes.

Natalie - It's not right. It's not right. What's going on? . . . This is not right. Where's Eve? Where's Eve? Where's Eve?

COMMERCIAL

Eve looks at Natalie mumbling and writhing around like she's crazy on the ground.

Eve - I need to speak to her alone. (smiles coyly) Its a girl thing.

Glen- (rolls his eyes as he turns to walk away) Women

Eve kneels down against the glass cage to talk to Natalie

Eve- Natalie? Natalie!

Natalie stops rolling around on the ground and becomes quiet. She moves her head to face Eve. Her eyes widen and she smiles getting up quickly to move over to the glass to speak to Eve.

Natalie - EVE!

Eve - Yes!

Natalie - How did you get in here?

Eve - I used to be an ambitious commander once. I know how to tap into that kind of desire. I just wish it wasn't Jeff. Natalie, what is going on?

Natalie - This isn't right. None of this is.

Eve - You're telling me! James doesn't recognize me. Jeff doesn't know who I am. Craig, Alex and Morgan seemed to have completely disappeared and Kevin thinks I'm his girlfriend. And it gets worse. I think I've changed.

Natalie - It's not just you Eve. The whole world has changed. Everything is going to hell. Literally

Eve - How come you're the only one that has noticed the change?

Natalie - My mind works on a different level because I'm psychic. Psychics are the only ones who notice the change. About three years ago when we started making claims that everything was wrong, people labeled us as crazy and they caged us up like animals for our own "safety." Nobody wants to hear what we have to say.

Eve - Tell me Natalie. I'm listening.

Natalie - The Messenger of Eli didn't come when she was supposed to. I don't know why but Alex and Craig didn't perform that spell to release your spirit and essence from the talisman. Everything you've done over the past three years, all the good you've accomplished, it's like it never even happened. There is only a viscous circle of evil and there is no one like you with your love and power to change people and combat that evil.

Eve - No one is stopping the demons or the hell mouths. That's why Kevin is more of a jerk then I remember.

Natalie - And believe it or not the events of him going crazy and losing his memory gave him a chance to change and become a better person. But it gets worse. You never started the Amazon legacy to temper might with mercy. You weren't here to send Cyane back. The Amazons are now the most feared and lethal human beings on this earth. Arubis has been sacrificing humans for his cult. Ronin is the only one they fear. He went crazy and after receiving the Hines blood dagger from Tristan, he's as deadly to gods as he is to humans. Raven is loose with the Dark Phoenix Sword and no one knows where Karen is or what happened to Mary. Vampire nests are more frequent because New York is ripe with evil.

Eve - I can't believe all this evil is loose.

Natalie - Not just that.(points to a boy in the cell across from her) See him

Eve - (turns around) Shane!!

Shane - Yeah . . .What's your deal?

Eve - What happened to you?

Shane - I got busted for drug dealing. Now F off!!

Natalie- Many kids like him are in jail because you didn't save Shane and set up those programs at the centre to help kids. The centre, by the way, doesn't exist.

Eve - (shakes her head as she stands up. She is shocked) This isn't right!! If I wasn't here to do all these things why I am I here right now?

Natalie - That just it! I can't sense you at all. I can't read you or delve into your consciousness. It's like you're not even here. You have no future and no past. That's why James didn't receive any visions at the sight of you. You're not a figure from the past. You're an empty shell only meant to observe a world without you.

Eve - NO! I can't stand back and let all the good that has been done go to waste.

Natalie - It never happened to begin with

Eve - I have to do something! I need your help Natalie! Where are Alex and Craig? I know they are out there fighting. No matter how much the world has changed I know they would be out there. Where can I find them?

Natalie - (closes her eyes) It 's dusk (opens her eyes) You're right! They're in Central park.

Eve makes a move to leave when Jeff appears in front of Eve blocking her way

Jeff - I was right. You are one of them.

Eve - What makes you think. . . How did you ? . . .(sees the security camera on the wall) You don't understand.

Jeff - I understand that you lied to me. And you used a deviant for your own purposes.

Eve - No! Don't you see? I know about the demons! The evil! I can stop it! I can save us . . you!

Glen - She's nuts! Just like the rest of them!

Jeff - Take her in

Eve is apprehended by to officers. Eve is struggling against them as they try to take her down the hall to a cell.

Eve - NO, NO! LET ME GO!!(looks to Natalie desperately)

Natalie begins screaming very loudly and bouncing off the padded walls of her cell. These actions causes a chain reaction and all the inmates act like her for whatever reason. It looks like there is about to be a riot.

Jeff - GET MORE OFFICERS AND TRANQ GUNS IN HERE NOW!!

Eve uses this distraction and stomps on the officer's foot and elbows the other one in the gut. They let her go and she pushes Jeff and Glen out of the way while she makes a run for it

Glen - STOP HER!!

Eve evades the other officers as she sprints out of the station.

Cut to the street as Eve busts out the doors of the station. She runs across the street barley getting missed by now beeping cars and angry drivers. She runs right into Central Park

Cut to inside the park as Eve runs. Off to the side Kevin appears, James and Mark are beside him

Kevin - EVELYN!!

Eve turns to the left and begins to run deeper into the park. She jumps over some bushes and tears part of her dress. She keeps running in a panic. She looks behind her when she runs into someone who grabs her by the shoulders. Eve looks up. It's Craig.

Craig stands there in black jeans, black wife beater and black leather jacket. His left cheek bares a long red scar. Eve is shocked and surprised yet relieved to see Craig. She moves her hand up to touch his scar but instead just jumps into his arm hugging him tightly

Eve - Craig!!

Shocked Craig pushes Eve off him and she falls and hits her back against a tree. Eve looks up to him sad and hurt. This is when Alex comes running up dressed all in leather and has a long black trench coat on.

Alex - What is it? What's going on?

Craig - It's okay. She was the one who was running. She's just a civilian.

Alex - (sees Eve bare feet) She has no shoes on.

Craig - (shrugs) So it would seem.

Eve - Alex?

Alex looks over to Eve, freaked out

Craig - She knew my name too.

Eve - I know a lot about each of you. I know that Alex's adoptive parents died in a car crash and you stayed with Craig's family, Serena, Bobby and Chris.

Craig and Alex are surprised by this

Alex - How do you know all this? You a cop?!

Eve - No, no I'm not. I'm running from them though.

Alex - (scoffs) Smarter than I thought.

Suddenly Mary jumps down from a tree and Karen runs over with swords drawn ready to attack.

Craig - Stand down!! Stand down.

Mary and Karen sheath swords. Eve notices Mary put away the Phoenix sword.

Karen - Who's this? (points to Eve)

Alex - Little girl blue running from the cops.

Eve - Karen. Mary.

Alex - You know her?

Mary - No.

Eve - Look, I know this is going to be hard for you to believe but things aren't supposed to be this way.

Karen - Things have always been this way. Did you just wake up this morning or something?

Eve - Kind of yeah. I know what I'm about to say is going to sound strange but with all you've seen please try to keep an open mind. (takes a deep breath) I know . . . I know about the demons, the evil, and the constant struggle to try to keep the delicate balance between good and evil. It seems like you're losing but that's not how it's supposed to be. The life I know is not like this.

Mary - Are you saying it's better then this?

Eve - Yes. We fight evil, we prevent the spread of it. We help people.

Craig - (shakes his head trying to comprehend what's she is saying) You know? About the demons? No one knows except the police.

Alex - With Commander Jeff "Nazi" Morrison

Craig - We're not supposed to be out here. But we break the rules, we fight for what we believe in. Some get taken into custody and others like us are fugitives, on the run.

Mary - Sometimes I wonder why we bother.

Craig - Because if we don't no one will. We're the last line of defense, the only hope people have to live free. We were born to try. . .

Eve - And as long as there are people who care enough to love just a little, there is hope.

Craig - Yeah. . . (looks at Eve as is recalling something) Impossible.

Alex - What?

Craig - She sounds just like . .. her words are straight from the scriptures of the Messengers.

Karen - Of Eli? Craig the last Messenger died over a hundred years ago and you know what happened when you went to the last temple, they turned you away

Mary - When you were basically told that there is no hope. Why are we doing this?! All we do is live from day to day trying to help a bunch of people who couldn't give a damn.

Alex - When did you become such a cynic?

Mary - When the Amazons and the Police get the perks and we live like criminals.

Eve - Nothing worthwhile is easy. Nothing comes without sacrifice but if you believe in it, it will work out in the end and good will prevail. (shakes her head recalling the events with Cyane) I really should listen to myself more often.

Mary - Well I don't like the price I'm paying

Eve - You can't live like those who do evil. If you play by their rules and don't fight on you're own terms then what you are fighting for in the first place will never happen.

Craig - That's incredible! That's exactly what Eve the Messenger of Eli would say . . . (trails off as he looks at Eve with curious eyes. Eve nods hoping he realizes) No way . . . it couldn't be.

Alex - Of course it's not Eve the Messenger.(looks to Eve) Don't listen to him (back to Craig) And don't you put ideas into her head. She doesn't look all that stable. I mean who is she and why is she here?

From out behind a tree Eve was near, a vampire grabs her by the neck.

Vampire - To die.

Alex jumps up and flips over Eve and the Vampire just as it's about to bite her. Alex stakes the vampire through the back right through to the heart turning it to dust.

Eve - (turns around to look at Alex) You have a stake? You never use stakes

Alex - (confused by Eve's statement as she opens her trench coat where an assortment of weapons are stored) I'm always prepared.

Male voice - (figure appears from the mist of the night) As all good demon hunters should be but it is never enough.

Eve - (Surprised) Deacon?!

Deacon - ATTACK!! FEED ON THEM!! QUENCH YOUR THIRST!!

A swarm of vampires rush at Craig, Karen, Mary and Alex. Alex pushes Eve down close to the tree.

Alex - Stay down!!

Cut to Craig as a vampire runs toward him teeth bared.

Craig - COME ON YOU BASTARDS! SUCK ON THIS!!

Craig punches the vampire straight on in the face knocking it on it's back. Craig takes out a stake and stakes the vampire turning it into dust.

Two vampires attack Karen, one has a spear. Karen ducks the roundhouse kick from vampire one and catches the jab from the one with the spear and hits the pervious vamp with it then kicks the spear holder in the chest before spinning around, unsheathing her sword and cuts it's head off. She turns around to Vamp one again and jabs the sword in its groin and pulls up, slicing it in half.

Cut back the Craig where three vampires move to tackle down Craig. Craig rolls and lands flat on his back as they jump over. Craig rolls over again on to his feet and is directly behind the vampires as they land.

Cut to Alex who is protecting Eve who is crouched by the tree trying to get up the courage to help but her hands ball into fists and she shakes. She can't understand why she is frightened. Alex ducks a punch by a vampire and spins down low and kicks the feet out from the vampire. As he tries to get up, Alex, still down low, kicks him in the face hard. Alex pulls out a sword and chops it's head off. It turns to dust as Alex gets up in a defensive stance again.

Cut to Craig as he does a swift roundhouse kicking the vampire number 1 in the face making it flip onto it's back.

Cut back to Alex who does a drop kick on another vampire before swinging her other leg forward and kicking the vampire in the side. Eve looks to Alex realizing something.

Eve - You don't know you're a god do you?

Alex - What?

Cut to Mary as she blocks a punch from Deacon before punching him in the stomach then in the face. She then turns around runs over and runs half way up a tree before pushing herself off and kicks Deacon in the head hard.

Cut back to Craig who is still with the three vampires. He kicks Vamp 2 down as Vamp 1 gets up. Craig spins around as Alex tosses him a sword. He catches it and cuts Vamp 1's head off. He then spins around the other way and cuts Vamp 2's head off. Craig drops the sword as Vamp 3 attacks with a fallen spear. Craig grabs the spear spins around and backhands the vampire.

Cut to Alex who jumps up and kicks a vampire with both feet hard. The vampire goes flying over to Karen who cuts the Vamp's head off. Karen then does a split kick in the air kicking Deacon and another vampire back. She takes the sword out and slices the vampire's head off.

Craig who still has a hold of the spear with Vamp number 3 swings the vampire around to Alex who has another sword ready and cuts it's head off. It's dust before it hits the ground.

Mary cartwheels over and picks Deacon up and throws him over to Craig who picks the spear up and stabs the spear right through Deacon the wooden part piercing his heart making him turn to dust in mid air.

Karen - Just the way I like them. Dumb and dust!

They all look over to Eve who is breathing heavily clearly still frightened.

Mary - And of course she was a lot of help.

Alex - Mary do us a favor and cram your new found negative opinions up your ass.

Craig kneels down beside Eve and rubs her back trying to get her to calm down.

Craig - Just take a few deep breaths. It's all right now

Eve - No, no . . none of this is right.

Alex - Here we go again.

Suddenly they hear war cries and shouts in the distance.

Alex - Oh no! Like this night couldn't get worse.

Karen - Amazons and Tretomlics!!

Craig - They must have heard the fight! We got to move!! GO! GO! NOW!!

Craig pulls Eve up and pushes everyone away from the spot.

On the run Eve falls down. Craig picks her up and they continue to go along

Eve - What's going on?

Craig - We may have held our own back there but we are no match for amazons.

Karen - Ever since the Phoenix swords were sold, Raven was able to be unleashed. We were able to get the first one back for Mary but Raven got a body of her own and she has the dark Phoenix sword. Since then she 's found all the old orders of the amazons and they are the most ruthless humans around.

Alex - Of course Raven's protégé and bitch, Morgan is no peach either. She's just as bad if not worse.

Eve- Morgan . . . not her too. It's not just me that's changed it's everyone I could have affected. Why has this happened?

As they round a corner all five come face to face with a huge band of fierce amazons, Morgan and Raven atop horses smiling wickedly and a cage behind them. We don't know what's in it but there are vicious snarls coming from it.

Raven - Well well. They've picked up a stray.

Morgan - Won't be much help. Looks weak and pathetic

Raven - Never the less they've been a thorn in our side for much too long. Thank you Mary. You've been a big help.

Karen, Craig, Alex and Eve all look at Mary shocked as she smiles at them wickedly.

Mary - I told you I was tired of this. I decided I wanted to win for once

Karen - TRAITOR!!!

Eve - (remembering what Craig was saying from Full Circle) If Cyane doesn't go back to create the legacy, the amazons who raised the Phoenix Warrior would be evil which means so would Mary the re incarnation.

Morgan - Weak and crazy

Raven - No. There's something different about her. I expect a full report Mary. Amazons, we head out!!! (back to Karen Craig Alex and Eve) In the mean time, why don't you four play with a friend.

A cage is brought forward by two amazons. Inside the cage is Ronin snarling like a wild beast. His hair is wild and he is dirty and bloody.

Alex - Oh my God! They caged it!!

Craig - Ronin!!

Alex - I'll take care of this. You guys get out here.

Eve - No wait!! Alex, he'll kill you!!

Craig - Alex !!

Alex - JUST STAY BACK!! I GOT IT!!

Eve - NO, DON'T!!

Suddenly Karen kicks the Phoenix sword out of Mary's hands and kicks Mary down. It is at that point Ronin is released and he comes bounding out screaming like a mad man. He pushes Mary out of the way. Alex flips back and kicks him in the face. Ronin looks up surprised. He takes the hinds blood dagger out of his big boots.

Ronin - ARES ARES ARES!!! I AM HIS PREIST!! I AM HIS DOOM AS I WILL BE YOURS

Ronin gets up and slashes at Alex. She dodges the first few but then Ronin scrapes her along the arm. Alex looks to her arm and sees the blood pour out.

Alex - WHAT?

Just then Ronin stabs her in the stomach. Alex just stands there in surprise clutching her stomach. Blood starts dribbling from her mouth as she falls down

Eve - NOOOOO!!!

Craig - ALEX!!!!!

Karen - AHHHHHHHH!!

Karen blasts Ronin with a burst of flame from the Phoenix Sword and he falls down burnt and dead. Karen fires whatever bursts of fire she can at the amazons. They become distracted. Morgan and Raven's horses start panicking and try to throw them off and the amazons are running from the flames.

Craig - (gets Alex and picks her up over his shoulder)KAREN, WE HAVE TO MOVE.

Karen stabs the Phoenix Sword into the ground. Craig with Alex, Eve and herself are taken away in a ball of fire leaving the amazons trying to get away from the flames.

COMMERCIAL

Cut to a fireball sailing though the sky. It hits the ground. It reveals Eve, Craig laying Alex on the ground as blood pours endlessly out of her wounds. The fire dissipates and flows back into the Phoenix Sword. Karen jabs the sword into the ground. She kneels down by it and leans on it letting the tears flow down her face. Eve kneels down beside Alex, tears falling down her face already knowing Alex's fate. Craig is frantically going over Alex's wounds. He checks the wounds and re checks them tearing off pieces of cloth from his shirt trying to stop the bleeding. Nothing is working. He is confused and panicking.

Craig - NO!! I don't get it!! The wound isn't fatal! ALEX, DON'T YOU GIVE UP ON ME!!!!

Alex slips in and out of consciousness.

Eve - Ronin used the Hines blood dagger

Craig - (angry and impatient) I KNOW THAT!! HE'S NOT CALLED THE GOD KILLER FOR NOTHING BUT ALEX IS NOT A GOD!!!!!

Eve - Her biological parents are. That makes her a God.

Craig looks to Alex surprised

Eve - She's never been hurt bad enough that her godhood would need to be activated. But this wound is fatal because of the golden hinds blood. It combats all traces of her god blood. It's killing her

Alex groans a bit. She opens her eyes a little bit.

Alex - (very weak) This isn't right . . . none of this is.(looks to Eve) I know you.

Alex's open eyes go blank as she takes her last breath and dies.

Craig - ALEX? ALEX!!! NOOOOOO!!!!!

Craig breaks down and falls on top of Alex crying. Karen cries more freely laying against the sword and Eve also crying harder now closes Alex eyes. Craig gets up suddenly pushes Karen away from the Phoenix Sword grabs it out of the ground and with fury and rage points it at Eve.

Craig - (strained trying to stay calm) Go!

Eve - Craig, I . . .

Craig - GO! (voice goes to deadly calm) Go before I kill you myself

Eve looks at Craig her heartbeat rising again. She grabs at her chest recognizing this feeling of fear and fearing Craig at the moment. She sees the rage in his eyes and gets up and backs away slowly.

Close up on Eve and she suddenly feels very alone and abandoned.

Cut to Eve walking along the streets of New York. She wraps her arms around her feeling very cold and alone. Tears are streaming down her face and sees the chaos that has become her life. "I was Born to Try" by Delta Goodrem playing the background

Eve sees people in their homes beating up on each other. She hears the yelling, the screeching and the fights. She winces at sounds of beatings and gunshots going off.

All that you see is me

Eve hears a crash and hides by a bench and sees Amazons in their leather creating havoc and loving it.

And all I truly believe

Eve looks back into central park. She sees people, or police officers, she really can't tell, being torn to shreds by demons and sucked on by Vampires.

Eve stand in the middle of the street and looks at the mayhem all around her. She suddenly realizes

Eve - I'm not going to just stand here and do nothing.

She turns around to go back into Central Park when James out of nowhere grabs her by the arm and drags her away

James - Evelyn, I don't know what has gotten into you or what the hell you are thinking but I'm taking you back to Kevin before you get yourself or me killed. I don't know what possessed me to come out here looking for you but I'm taking you back where you belong.

Eve jerks her arm away from James and pushes him back

Eve - I belong (points into Central Park) in there, helping people, trying to bring some sort of peace and balance to this messed up world because that is what I'm here to do even if it means sacrificing my own life.

James - Are you insane?

Eve - You're coming with me!

Eve grabs James arm and tugs him along with her into Central Park

James - WHOA WHOA WHOA!!! Hold on Princess I'm not part of the package. I'm just here to deliver you to Kevin

Eve - Move your ass so we can help some people. Maybe if you get a taste of how good it is to help someone you might change.

James - You are insane! We can't do this alone!!

Eve - (sees Jeff patrolling) You're right. We need a little muscle. HEY JEFF!!!

Jeff - (turns his head sharply and sees James and Eve) YOU!!!

Jeff takes out is gun and runs after them

Eve - COME ON!!

Eve grabs James and runs deeper into Central Park with Jeff closely behind them. Just then they run straight into Morgan who pushes them back. James and Eve fall onto the ground and look up at Morgan. James looks up at her frightened

James - An Amazon!

Eve gets up and stares Morgan down. Morgan looks back at Eve sizing her up. Morgan scoffs at her bare feet and torn dress

Morgan - So you're supposed to be the Messenger?

Eve doesn't answer

Morgan - You don't look much like anything. Not a warrior, not a champion, maybe a Ghandi wannabe but that won't help you.

Eve - If you don't believe I'm the Messenger, why are you here?

Morgan - Raven is very wise. She believes the prophecies about the Messenger. We can't take any chances. I'm here to eliminate you.

Morgan raises her sword

Eve - If that's my destiny . . .

Just then Morgan is shot in the arm. She screams in pain and drops her sword.

Eve - I didn't think it was

Eve James and Morgan look to where the shot came from and see Jeff.

Jeff - Everyone put your hands up now!!!

James does so without any argument. Eve doesn't. Morgan just looks at Jeff with venom and anger.

Morgan - A cop!

Jeff - (equal anger and venom) An Amazon

Morgan picks up her sword goes after Jeff. Eve in a quick move grabs Morgan by the arm that holds the sword and holds her back

Eve -NO! Don't do this!! I know about your family and your ex boyfriend and the reason you joined the amazons. But you have to let go of your hate. If you don't, it will destroy you. Don't let Nick's behavior eat you up inside. Fight it. Don't become him.

Morgan - SHUT UP!!!!

Morgan pushes Eve away and is about to kill her with the sword when James jumps in front of Eve takes the blow with the sword right in the chest.

James suddenly falls back into Eve arms who sinks to the ground with him

Eve - OH JAMES NO!!!

James - I had to do the right thing . . . (recognizes her) Eve?

James takes a shuddering breath and dies.

Morgan smirks and raises her sword to strike down Eve when Jeff jumps on Morgan bringing her down. Morgan and Jeff begin struggling with each other for control of the sword and the gun. Eve sees this

Eve - NO NO STOP! YOU'LL KILL EACH OTHER!!

Raven - (voice)Not when we're here

Eve turns to see Raven, Mary and a few amazons behind them. Raven smirks and raises her sword

Raven - AMAZONS NOW!! WHILE SHE'S DEFENCELESS!! KILL THE MESSENGER!!

The three amazons and Mary run to attack Eve. Suddenly Mary is tackled from the side and Craig jumps down from the tree in front of the three Amazons.

Craig - You're in the wrong city girls. Mine!!!

Cut to Mary who gets up and sees Karen propel herself up by the legs.

Mary - I was hoping to see you again! I want my sword back

Karen - I don't have it. I thought I'd deal with a traitor like you with my bare hands. I gave it to him (nods over to Craig)

Craig has the sword transform into a metal staff. He jabs the end into the ground and swings around to kick the three amazons in the chest. Afterwards the staff transforms back into a sword and while the amazons are momentarily stunned Craig slices each of them across the chest. They fall down behind him as he moves toward Raven.

In the midst of the fighting Eve stands up, not knowing what to do as she sees the fighting around her. Craig against Raven, Karen against Mary and Jeff and Morgan are still struggling with each other.

Morgan knees Jeff in the thigh just missing his crotch. He stumbles back but then swings and punches her in the jaw. She stumbles backward and around spitting out blood. When she turns around Jeff spins around and kicks Morgan across the face again. Jeff jumps up high attempting to kick Morgan down but Morgan grabs him by the legs while he is in mid air and throws him into a tree. Next to the tree Jeff shakes his head and takes out his gun again concealing it away from Morgan. He doesn't notice that behind him Morgan picks up her sword and runs toward him with the intent of running him through.

They both turn around at the same time and there is a close up on each of their faces as a gunshot is heard. Cut back to a full body view as Morgan and Jeff stumble away from each other. Jeff has the sword right in his chest. He stumbles back and falls against the tree dead. Morgan looks at the bullet wound in her stomach. She looks to Eve

Morgan - You were right.

Morgan falls down dead.

Cut to Mary and Karen fighting each other with their bare hands. Mary fights dirty and she stomps on Karen's foot, pulls her by the hair and throws her into the ground. Karen is not to be outdone. While Mary runs toward her Karen throws dirt in Mary's face. Mary stumbles back momentarily blinded. Karen gets up and kicks Mary in the stomach. Mary doubles over while Karen jumps up and hits on her back. Mary falls down to the ground. Karen picks her up again and head butts her. Mary momentarily disoriented quickly shakes it off and runs toward Karen screaming and tries to tackle her down. Karen bends over Mary and picks Mary up upside down and drops Mary on her head. Karen picks Mary up by the head and snaps her neck. Mary falls down instantly dead. Karen looks over to Raven and Craig fighting with the Phoenix swords.

Cut to the Dark Phoenix Sword and the Phoenix Sword clashing in the air. They are brought down to face level with matched strength as Raven and Craig snarl at each other. They push each other back and go at each other again, clashing swords. The spin around and Craig backhands Raven whom just spins around and backhands him back. Raven kicks him in the back of the knee, which brings him down. She brings the sword down upon him but Craig brings the Phoenix Sword up behind him and blocks it. He pushes her back and gets up to face her again. They both jump up and flip over clashing swords in mid air. Craig upon landing gets down low attempting to knock the feet out from under Raven but she just jumps over it and cartwheels to meet Craig face to face again.

Karen runs over to help Craig

Craig - (to Raven ) DIE YOU BITCH!!

Raven and Craig run at each other screaming. They clash down and Raven pushes him back so hard that he spins around, sword swings haphazardly in the air. Karen comes toward Craig and the sword meets her neck slicing it. She stops suddenly and Craig looks upon what he's done in horror. Karen spits out some blood and falls down dead on her face.

Craig screams and turns around and drives the Phoenix Sword in the Raven's neck as she drives the Dark Phoenix Sword in to his stomach. They both let go of the swords. Raven falls down dead but Craig just stumbles back. The Dark Phoenix Sword turns to ashes but the wound still remains.

Eve - CRAIG! NO!!!

Eve runs over to catch Craig as he falls into her arms

Eve - (crying) CRAIG I'M SO SORRY!! NO NO NOT AGAIN. OH CRAIG!!! I'm so so sorry. I wanted to help . . . but I . . . I

Craig - (very weak and struggling to stay alive) Just . . . Just carry on what I tried to do.

Craig spurts up a bit of blood and dies.

Just then the ground starts shaking. Behind Eve a crevice opens. Smoke, red light and screams of torture rise up as Lucifer rises up from the depths of hell.

Lucifer - The earth is anointed with blood and souls as tainted as my own. The day has come!! My ascension is complete

Eve - (picks up a fallen sword and runs at Lucifer) NOOOOOO!!!!!

Eve runs at Lucifer screaming. He strides toward her confident. As Eve brings the sword down upon his head with all the strength she can muster Lucifer catches the sword between his hands. He tears the sword from her grasp and throws it to the ground. He picks Eve up off the ground by the neck with one hand. He is chocking her.

Lucifer - I don't know who stripped you of your powers and turned back time to make it as if you never came but I would like to thank them. You were the only thing standing between me and total domination and now I'm free!

Eve lifts up both her legs and kicks Lucifer in the chest making him drop her. She falls to the ground and tires to crawl away. Lucifer, only slightly affected, catches Eve. He grabs her leg and pulls her back. He then pulls her up by the hair and lifts her up by the neck again. He sticks on of his clawed hands into her chest and squeezes her heart. She gasps and then screams in pain.

Lucifer - Who do you think you are?!! I am the king of Hell and the world is now mine to command and control. YOU ARE NOTHING!!!

Eve - (with her last breath) I am the Messenger of Eli. In this life or any other.

Suddenly Eve's eyes glow white and the symbol of Eli appears on her forehead and glows. The sword that was previously thrown to the ground flies up into Eve hand. She thrusts it into Lucifer's chest. Still holding on to Eve he sinks to his knees.

Eve - (struggling with her last worlds) In the name of Eli and all the powers in heaven I command this evil to be cast back into hell!!!

The ground trembles beneath Lucifer. He begins smoking and smoldering. His skin begins to burn and he screams in pain. Lucifer begins sinking into the ground again and he continues to scream. There is flash of light whiting everything out.

Cut to a pair of sandaled feet walking along the ground. The feet stop at Eve's head. She looks like she is dead. The figure bends down and turns her over and she wakes alive and well. She looks up into the face of Arch Angel Raphael.

Eve - Arch Angel.

She gets up and looks around. She still sees the dead bodies of her friends of the ground.

Eve - (begins crying) I've failed.

Raphael - (confused) Failed? I'd say you passed with flying colours

Eve - But . . . Lucifer . . . I sent him back but nothing has changed . . . my friends . . . they're still dead.

Raphael - Eve, this isn't about Lucifer. This was about you.

Eve - What is this?

Raphael - This is a vision of a world without you. After sending Cyane to the past you wished you had never been brought to the 21'st century. Eli granted your wish and allowed you a life without the responsibility of being Messenger but with the memory of the world before. Do you see what life would be like without you? Even when there was no possible hope, no good outcome, you chose to at least try, you chose to fight for good even without power and strength. You wanted to help people. You have stayed true to your path and your mission even in death. It is like you said, you are the Messenger of Eli in this life or any other.

Eve - And what if I decided to do nothing and not care.

Raphael - You would have died sooner or later and then the entire world would be lost. You doubt the good you have done and the good you have yet to do. Why?

Eve - (ashamed) I'm frightened. These decisions I have to make for the greater good . . . I don't know if I can. It's too big, it's too much. What if I make mistake or ruin a life. I don't have the right to . . .

Raphael - (stops her) You are human Eve. Darkness, doubt and fear is a part of life. What is important is what you do after those moments, do you give up and die or do you overcome and find a better way filled with light and love? When faced with darkness and doubt you must fight for what's right every time.

Eve - I had my friends to help but they're gone now.

Raphael - There is a reason why your destiny is tied to that of your friends. You walk a path together so they can help you in times of doubt the same way you would help them. It's what friends are for.

Eve - You mean . . they're alive?!

Raphael - (smiles) Yes! They are connected to you. Why do you think in death they recognized who you are, they realized the truth, just as in the time of your death you regained your powers again.

Eve - I felt a surge of power like I've never felt before. The sword, it just flew into my hands.

Raphael - Ah yes . . .that . . .That was a taste of things to come. But right now it's time to go back to the way things truly are.

Cut to Craig walking inside the Temple of Eli in Turkey

Cut to Craig inside the temple kneeling before one of the priests that we recognize as Azariah a.k.a. Arch Angel Raphael.

Craig - I don't know what to do. The demons grow stronger and they are becoming too much for Alex and I to handle. I fear evil will over take this earth before long. I need help. I didn't know where else to turn but to the wisdom of Eli and his priests

Azariah - Beyond time and space the message is there. You have the knowledge and the power to reach it. All you have to do is ask and help will be found. (brings out the talisman) This is the talisman of Eli. Use it, it will bring you the hope you need.

Fade out

PRESENT

Fade in to a close up on Eve's face. Her eyes flutter open and she suddenly bolts up in bed and looks around. We pan out and see we are back in Eve's apartment bedroom. She looks around and sees her own bed and her own stuff. She quickly gets out of bed still in her pajamas and runs out of her room.

Cut to Eve's living room. Eve look around. It's all her stuff. She suddenly remembers her friends.

Cut to downstairs in the centre. Alex and James are laughing at the bar. Pan down to Jeff and Craig sparring, Morgan working out at the punching bag. We pan over to the door to see Shane come in with a bunch of kids smiling and waving. Eve bolts through the backroom entrance looks around and sees James and Alex. They see her

James - Hey! You're up late!

Eve runs up to James and gives a big kiss on the lips. She brushes past him as he gets a goofy smile on his face and faints. Eve runs up to Alex but before Eve hugs her Alex stops Eve holding her back

Alex - If you're going to kiss me we're going to have a problem

Craig, Jeff and Morgan walk up to the bar confused at what's going on.

Eve just laughs at Alex and hugs her tightly

Alex - (can hardly breath)Eve . . . air . . .becoming . . . an issue

Eve lets go of Alex and runs over to Jeff and hugs him. He is very surprised.

Eve - Jeff! Oh sweet, not ruthless Jeff! (looks straight at him) Jeff call Natalie. Check and make sure everything is okay. She'll know what I'm talking about.

Jeff - (takes out his cell phone confused) Okay.

Eve looks over at Craig She goes over to him holds his face in her hands and kissed him on the forehead.

Craig - Um . . Eve?

Eve - (laughs) That's my name. You know who I am. Will you do me a favor and call Karen and Mary. Check to see if they're okay

Craig - Forget them. Are you okay?

Eve looks over at Morgan and approaches her cautiously

Eve - You're not evil?

Morgan - (confused) Not the last time I checked. You did send Cyane back to create the Amazon legacy

Eve hugs Morgan

Morgan - Wait! I thought you regretted that

Eve - (pulls back) No. No I don't.

Eve turns around and sees Shane she runs over and hugs him

James gets of the ground and shakes his head

James - What did I miss?

Alex - As much as I have. I haven't a clue what's going on

Craig - That makes three of us

Morgan - Four

Jeff - (gets off his phone) Make that the five of us. I just got off the phone with Natalie. She says everything is as it should be and that if I ever put her in a glass cage again I'll be sorry.

Eve walks over smiling.

Eve - I'm back!!

Alex, James, Craig, Jeff and Morgan have very confused looks on their faces

Alex - Where'd you go?

Cut to a pan over New York City at dusk. Everything appears to be normal. "I Was Born to Try" by Delta Goodrem plays in the background.

Fade out of the pan over New York and fade in to Eve standing on her fire escape looking out over the city. As the crisp air settles in she pulls her sweater tighter around her and smiles.

Eve - (voice over commentary) There is doubt, there is fear but it is part of being human and being alive. But it's not the only part. There is also hope and courage. And even if all seems lost we have to try. I will try to find a better way. And whenever I don't believe in myself I will look to my friends for guidance because even when I can't believe in anything else I will always believe in them and they believe in me.

Alex - HEY EVE!!!

Eve looks down and see Alex, James, Jeff, Craig and Morgan standing on the street looking up at her.

Alex - Are we going patrolling or what?

Eve smiles and leaps over the railing of the fire escape and lands on the ground below on her feet unscathed.

All five stare at her with their mouths slightly ajar and they are blinking, slightly shocked and confused. Suddenly Alex lets out an annoyed sigh and rolls her eyes

Alex - Listen Eve, I know you had a very intense "It's a Wonderful Life" experience but do you have to show off?

Eve walks over and put her arms around Morgan and Alex.

Eve - I'm just enjoying and relishing life

As they walk off to patrol Jeff, still confused, follows behind

Jeff - What did Natalie mean when she said I'd be sorry if I put her in a glass cage again?
