Pan around the Centre early one morning. We pan over to Eve sitting at the bar watching the end of "SQUAD." She turns off the television and shakes her head.

Eve - (voice over commentary) - Who knows what's going to happen now? There is only one thing that is certain. The only way to get through this is together.

Alex walks in and slams her bag on the table as Craig walks in behind her. He sits on a stool barely containing his anger. Morgan comes in from the back room and James enters moments later.

Alex looks around the room. No one is looking at each other. Everyone is uncomfortably silent. Alex breaks the silence.

Alex - We're screwed. We are so screwed. I can't even express the level of screwed we are at right now we're so screwed.

Morgan - This is no time to panic.

Alex - This is the perfect time to panic!

Morgan - I'm sure it's not as bad as it looks

Eve rewinds and presses play. It shows her using her powers sending the demon back to hell.

Eve - What's done is done.

Alex - Are you off your rocker? (sarcastic) We're just going ride this out? How do we do that?

Eve- Together.

Alex - (angry) Exsqueeze me!?

Eve - (exasperated) You don't think I know how bad this it, how much worse it could get!? But anything we do now could make things much worse. We have to wait and see what happens. Only then can we make the right choice how to act. Jeff is going to need the most help. He could lose his job!

Craig - We're all in trouble Eve! My job is in question too. I was made to look like a violent psychopath! This whole thing was brought on by Jeff!

Eve - So what? We just remain angry. Wallow in self pity? That's not going to help anything either. We have to be strong. We have to be there for one another. I learned that lesson a long time ago.

Pan away from Eve and fade out of the centre and to a town in Ancient Greece.

2000 YEARS AGO: POTADEIA

Gabrielle runs into the town with Eve Virgil and Xena behind her. Gabrielle looks around her in wonder and happiness.

Gabrielle - Xena! It's thriving! I'm going to see if the old house is still standing.

Gabrielle runs off in joy as Xena Virgil and Eve follow smiling.

Morgan - (voice)Wait a sec?

Skid the scene to a halt and screech back to the centre

Eve - What?

Morgan - I know this episode. It's "Who's Gurkhan" Yawn! I've heard it

Eve - I'm sure you heard about my mother and Gabrielle inside the harem but do you know about what was going on outside the harem with me and Virgil.

Morgan - (stunned) Okay. Un yawn.

Fade in to an old house then cut to Gabrielle, Virgil, Xena and Eve looking at it.

Gabrielle - It looks so worn down

Virgil - Nothing a little paint can't cure

Eve - All that matters is that the people inside are all right.

Xena - Go on.

They all watch as Gabrielle approaches the house. Before she knocks the door opens. They see Lila. Almost immediately the sisters embrace. Eve, Xena and Virgil smile at the reunion.

Fade to later that to rain pouring outside. Fade in to Xena putting more firewood in the fire in a warm house. Virgil is polishing a sword while Eve is peeling fruit. Gabrielle is telling Lila the story of faking their own death. Virgil looks over to Eve and smirks. Eve looks over to him

Eve - What?

Virgil - It's just it so weird. Look at us. Not so long ago our positions would have been reversed.

Eve - (goes back to peeling her fruit)Then I'm glad our positions are not reversed.

Pan over to Lila and Gabrielle

Lila - (Sighs)I wish Sarah were here to see you.

Gabrielle - Who's Sarah?

Lila - My daughter.

Gabrielle - You have a daughter? (smiles and looks over to Xena) Xena, I have a niece. (looks back to Lila) Where is she? (When Lila doesn't answer Gabrielle sighs and asks what's been plaguing her) Lila, where are Mother and Father?

Lila - (after a long slience she takes a deep breath)Eight years ago, Sarah was captured by the raider Gurkhan. He took her to the walled city of Mogador.

Eve- (squashes the fruit unintentionally. Everyone looks to her) - It's in North Africa.

Lila - A merchant told us she was in his harem. Father sold most of the farm and he and Mother and my husband Lecter went to try and buy her back.

Gabrielle - What happened?

Lila - (sobs) He beheaded all three. I don't know what happened to Sarah.

Eve lets out a tortured sigh and Virgil and Xena cast down their eyes in sadness. At that moment Gabrielle gets a murderous look in her eyes and runs out the door

Xena - Gabrielle! Wait!!

Lila breaks down into tears and runs off into another room. Eve makes a move to go after her but Virgil holds her back shaking his head sadly. Eve walks over to the window and sees Gabrielle and Xena argue.

Virgil - Do you think she's going to be okay?

Eve - No

Virgil - Come on. This is Gabrielle we're talking about.

Eve - (sees Gabrielle walk away and Xena follow) Better pack you bag Virgil. I think we're heading to Mogador.

Fade to a few days later. A boat sails toward Mogador in North Africa. Eve is standing at the bow watching Gabrielle throw up over the side. Virgil walks up to stand in front of Eve.

Virgil - Where's Gabrielle?

Eve - Throwing up over the side of the boat

Virgil - Did you talk to her?

Eve - Oh yeah

Virgil - And?

Eve - Well . . . she knows what she wants to do?

Virgil - That's good

Eve- She wants to kill Gurkhan

Virgil - That's bad

Eve - It will lead her down a path of destruction. It could destroy her very soul

Virgil - I know how she feels. Her family has been murdered and now nothing else matters except killing the one who killed them.

Eve - (saddened look) You speak from experience I assume

Virgil - (shakes his head)If Gurkhan is as bad as you say then Gabrielle may be very well in over her head but that doesn't matter to her right now. Common sence, human decency, her soul, none of it means anything because her pain overides it all.

Eve - (shakes her head refusing to accept that) I'll talk to my mother. She may be the only one who can get through to Gabrielle.

Eve brushes past Virgil and he sighs exasperated.

Fade to later as Eve and Xena watch Gabrielle hanging over the side of the boat looking sick.

Eve - She wants to kill Gurkhan. For you or me that might have been an interesting challenge once upon a time, but for her...

Xena - It's a suicide mission.

Eve - She doesn't have what it takes to kill in cold blood. Do you think I inherited that talent from you, Mother?

Xena - You certainly had a gift.

Eve - (uneasy and guilty about it) Yeah...I did. So, what are you going to do?

Xena - Cure her seasickness.

Cut to later where the boat has docked at a port in Mogador. Cut to on the boat where Virgil is standing over a sleeping Gabrielle. Eve walks over and sits next to Gabrielle watching over her. Xena comes up behind Virgil packing a bag.

Virgil - Gabrielle. Hey, Gabrielle.

Xena - I gave her something for her seasickness. She'll be out awhile.

Virgil - I get it. You're going to Mogador without her.

Xena - That's right.

Virgil - She's not gonna like that.

Xena - She's going to like being beheaded even less. You're coming with me.

Virgil - I can't. That would be a direct betrayal of her trust and (Xena grabs a hold of his mouth and squeezes it in to a fish face) ...ooh! Good idea. Good idea.

Xena lets go and gives his face a small slap before walking off. Eve gets up and follows her out.

Eve - Wait! What do I do if she wakes up before you get back?

Xena - Then it won't be long until she figures it out. Keep her on this boat. Try and convince her that we were doing this for her own good.

Xena walks off. Eve looks to Virgil who gives a shrug and follows Xena.

Cut to Mid Afternoon Eve is leaning over the side of the railing of the boat giving a small prayer to Eli.

Eve hears a groan coming from the cabin and winces

Eve - Oh great

Eve walks over to the cabin to see Gabrielle waking up

Eve - Feeling better?

Gabrielle - I gotta hand it to Xena. That brew she gave me made me sleep like a baby.

Gabrielle suddenly hears something that's not right and gets up quickly. She removes the sail to see that they are docked at port in Mogador. She turns around quickly to face Eve

Gabrielle - Where is she? (looks to Eve who just smiles quietly) Eve...that peaceful smile is not gonna cut it. Where is she?

Eve - (caves and runs over to comfort Gabrielle) I'm just as much to blame as she is.

Virgil - (voice) I sing of Superlious, pirate of the high se-e-e-e-eas!

Eve and Gabrielle look over to the voice. Gabrielle looks mad while Eve winces. Cut back to Virgil who comes into a view swinging his sword and a bag of money around.

Virgil - I capture beautiful maidens and sell them...a-a-a-h! (sees Gabrielle and Eve. He drops the bad of money and looks shamefully down to the ground). Hi Gabrielle.

Gabrielle - No-no-no-no. Don't tell me. You're Superlious, pirate of the high seas? You sold Xena to Gurkhan, didn't you?

Eve - (caving again) We did it because we love you.

Virgil - Well, I didn't! (Gabrielle looks to Virgil shocked) I mean well. I mean...I mean...I mean, I do...I do love you. What I'm trying to say is that I didn't know about the potion until you were already out.

Gabrielle - Virgil, you went along with Xena after she did it.

Virgil - Well, she threatened me.

Eve - (nods in agreement) It's the truth.

Gabrielle- Two can play at that game

Gabrielle stalks off.

Eve - (panicking) Gabrielle Wait!!

Eve runs after her while Virgil just stands there for a moment before Eve walks back and pulls him by the collar

Eve - Come on!!

Virgil - Whoa!!!

COMMERCIAL

Cut to the town of Mogador in the market square. Gabrielle is going past through the racks of clothes and pulls off garments, beads and jewellery. She sets them all down on the counter in front of a merchant. Eve and Virgil appear behind Gabrielle just as she turns around to look for them.

Gabrielle - Keep up will you. Where's the money?

Virgil looks to Eve as if asking for permission. Eve shakes her head slightly.

Gabrielle- (goes into Virgil's pocket and grabs out the bag of money.) You got this money off of selling Xena you might as well put it to good use

Virgil - Wha . . . !? Hey!!!

Gabrielle pays the merchant and then goes behind a few curtains to change.

Eve - Gabrielle listen to me. You are going to get yourself killed!

Gabrielle - (behind the curtain) Just as long as I kill Gurkhan first.

Eve - Gabrielle please. We are just trying to protect you. Mother can get Sarah. Just give her some time.

Gabrielle - Gurkhan must die. He needs to face retribution for what he did to my family. (Gabrielle comes out dressed in her dancing gear) How do I look?

Eve - Like a dead woman walking

Gabrielle - Thanks for the vote of confidence.

Eve - Think about what you are doing Gabrielle. If you do this, then everything that is good about you will be destroyed. And that's if you succeed. If you don't, you die! Gabrielle we love you, we care . . .

Gabrielle - STOP!! Just stop

Virgil - Gabrielle when my father was killed you told me that when push comes to shove sometimes the only thing to do was push back but you have to ask yourself, is that what Eli would want?

Gabrielle - And you told me that you don't care what Eli wants, you just knew what you had to do. And so do I. (puts the head scarf on and covers her face) Virgil, you're going to take me to Gurkhan's palace. He likes the exotic, he'll get the exotic in me. You'll present me as a gift.

Eve - What makes you think he'll accept you as a gift?

Gabrielle - (looks over to a young woman dancing in the square) I'll dance for him. Seduce him. All I need to do is get within a few feet and then . . .(pulls out a knife and throws it into a wooden poll) It'll be done.(grabs the knife out of the poll and puts it in the straps on her back, the blade concealed by the beads) Let's go Virgil.

Eve - Gabrielle . . .Wait. Please, I don't want you to do this. You're my mother too and I can't lose you!

Gabrielle stops for a moment. She sighs but straightens her back and faces Eve.

Gabrielle - (softly) Eve go back to the ship. You'll be safe there.

Gabrielle turns back around and grabs Virgil by the arm and drags him off. Eve looks back at the square before looking back at Gabrielle walking away. She makes up her mind and decides to follow Virgil and Gabrielle without their knowledge.

Cut to Gabrielle and Virgil walking at a fast pace. They slow down upon seeing the palace and the guards at the door. Gabrielle puts a hand on Virgil's arm to slow him.

Gabrielle - This is it. Remember to make it look good.

Virgil - I've done this bit already. I can handle it

Gabrielle - Virgil, you have to promise me something

Virgil - I know I know. Don't interfere. Let you do what you have to do.

Gabrielle - No, it's not that. Remember to get yourself out. You need to go back to the ship and protect Eve.(Virgil looks like he is about to protest) No, Virgil listen to me please. If I or Xena don't get out, Eve will have no one. There is a whole world of people who fear and hate her. She will need you more than ever. I know what she did to you makes it hard for you to be around her but . . . help her find a way to at least let her atone for what's she done. Help her on her mission.

Virgil, after a silent deliberation and a deep breath nods and puts his hand on her back with a gentle push on ward toward Gurkhan's.

Fade to late in the evening. Night has fallen and it is dark. Eve sneaks up along the walls of the palace. She hears a commotion coming from the dungeons along the walls.

Voice - (faint)Nobody misbehaves in Gurkhan's harem!!

Eve hears the sounds of someone being beaten and her eyes widen in panic!! She hurries along the wall. Around the corner Virgil is also looking back making sure no guards are following him. He and Eve bump into each other while rounding the corner at the same time.

Virgil - AHHHHHH!!!!

Eve - AHHHHHH!!!

Virgil - Eve!!

Eve - Virgil!!!

Eve grabs Virgil by the collar and swings him around and they duck behind some bushes.

Virgil - Eve! What are you doing here? I thought you were on the boat!

Eve - I followed you here. What happened? Where's mother and Gabrielle?

Virgil - Oh Eve you should have seen it!! Gabrielle was awesome!!(starts wiggling around and swaying his hips) Gabrielle was dancing and swaying those hips and her abs wow! Her abs are awesome. She was doing all these cool moves and twirling around and being all cool and stuff. It was so . . .

Eve - VIRGIL!!(claps in front of his face. He turns his attention back to Eve) Focus! What happened?

Virgil -(getting nervous and lets out a nervous chuckle) Funny story actually (looks at Eve's un-amused face) Okay, maybe not the funny.

Eve - Virgil!

Virgil - Gabrielle was very close to killing Gurkhan. At least, I think it was Gurkhan. It was like that at the auction. Gurkhan bought Xena but there was three of them.

Eve - What are you saying? That Gabrielle killed the wrong Gurkhan and was caught?

Virgil - Xena stopped Gabrielle before she could do anything and knocked her out. Xena got knocked out as well.

Eve - (panicked) Then what happened?

Virgil - I don't know!! I escaped before they could catch me and torture me too.

Eve - (shocked) They are torturing them!!! I have to go in there!

Virgil grabs her and holds her back

Eve- I heard them, I heard them beating someone!! It's my Mother!!! It's Gabrielle!!! I know it is!!! I have to get in there I have to save them!!!!

Virgil - (struggling to keep her back) Not like this!! Eve you're hysterical! You can't, you'll get yourself killed!

Eve elbows him in the side breaking his grip on her. She makes a move to run away and get into the dungeons when Virgil picks up a heavy branch and whacks her over the head knocking her out. Virgil picks her up off the ground and carries her away.

Virgil - Sorry Eve. I made a promise

Virgil walks off with an unconscious Eve in his arms.

Cut to the next day at the dock. Cut to the cabin. Eve is lying on some skins as she opens her eyes. She bolts up but then grabs her head in pain and groans loudly. Virgil walks up and looks down on her.

Eve- (looks up and glares) Why did you stop me?!!

Virgil - I promised I'd look after you.

Eve - My mother and Gabrielle are trapped in that harem. Why aren't you worried? Why aren't you trying to do as much as you can to save them?

Virgil - If anyone can get through this it's Xena and Gabrielle. I trust them.

Eve - It's not about trust!!

Virgil - I don't think the words of Eli are you going to get you into that harem.

Eve - Well that's why you're going to come with me.

Virgil - Oh Hades no!! There is no way I am going back into that city.

Cut to Virgil's un-amused face scowling at the passer byes in the midst of the market square

Virgil - I can't believe I'm back here in this city.

Eve comes out from behind it fully dressed and her face covered

Eve - Let's just get going. We need answers. Which auctioneer did you set up my Mother with

Virgil points and Eve and him make their way over to the auctioneer.

Cut to the auctioneer sitting at his table counting money. He sees Virgil approaching and smiles. Eve takes a hold of his arm and whispers in his ear.

Eve - I have an idea just play along

Auctioneer - Buddy!! Hey how's it going? Got any more delicious maidens for me to sell?!

Eve - (in disguise) QUIET FOOL! THIS MAN IS A CRIMINAL

Virgil eyes widen in panic

Auctioneer - Who are you?

Eve- I am a bounty hunter and I have been hunting this man for a long time. He sells thieves and spies into many rich palaces. He is wanted in many countries.

Auctioneer - He sold one to Gurkhan!! I'm in big trouble if that wench stole from him

The Auctioneer launches himself at Virgil but Eve grabs the Auctioneers arm spins him around and slams him face first onto his table.

Eve - I need information and access to Gurkhan palace so I can get the thief.

Auctioneer - And why should I trust you?(Eve tightens her grip on his arm) OWE OWE OWE OKAY OKAY! I TRUST YOU I TRUST YOU! (Eve loosens her grip) I'll tell you what you want to know!

Fade out from the struggling Auctioneer to a road to Gurkhan's palace.

Virgil - Are you crazy? You could have got us killed back there.

Eve - The important thing is we got information and there's secret entrance into Gurkhan palace that not even Gurkhan himself knows about. Apparently it's his paid servant's entrance. They use it to smuggle food out for their families.

Virgil - Why would they have to do that?

Eve - Men like Gurkhan are evil, selfish pigs. They want complete control over every aspect of everyone's life.

Eve and Virgil come up to the back entrance to Gurkhan's harem.

Eve -The entrance

They see a couple of servants slipping out from a gate with bundles of food in their arms.

Eve - All right let's go

Cut to a dark corridor with a little bit a light at the end that is the entrance. Virgil and Eve enter. They make away along the corridor.

Virgil - Do you know where you're going?

Eve - Shhhhh!

Eve and Virgil look behind them before turning a corridor and running straight into two large guards. Eve and Vigil slowly look up at them. Eve and Virgil both smile nervously.

Eve - I think we might have made wrong turn somewhere.

COMMERCIAL

Cut to a dark corridor lit with torches. Two huge guards with Turbans wrapped around their heads walk through the corridor each carrying a fiercely struggling Virgil and Eve

Guard1 - Gurkhan sent us to see if his servants were stealing from him but we find two intruders instead. What do we do with them?

Guard 2 - Take them to the dungeons.

Virgil - Oh great!! Any more brilliant ideas?

Eve - Just one and I'm regretting it already.

As the guard that is holding Eve comes to a doorway Eve stops them from going through by bracing against the frame with her feet. She pushes back making her slam the guard into the wall. This loosens his grip and he drops her. She elbows him in the stomach and he doubles over. She then latches on to his doubled over form and swings over him, running along the wall propelling her self off and kicking the guard holding Virgil, in the head as Virgil ducks. The guard, stunned, let's go of Virgil. As Eve lands the throws her captor into Virgil's captor. Both guards going tumbling into the wall falling down in a heap.

Eve - Come on!!

Eve and Virgil the run out the corridor.

Cut to outside the secret entrance as Eve and Virgil run out and dive into the bushes. They peak out from behind them to see if they were spotted or followed. The coast seems to be clear.

Virgil - Well . . . Now what? You're supposed to be the brains of this operation.

Eve - We have no choice. We are going to have to infiltrate the harem through the front door.

Fade to the sun setting and night falling.

Cut to above the front gates as Virgil is lowering Eve by rope down behind the guards so she can sneak in. Virgil let's the rope slip by mistake and Eve falls down landing rather loudly behind the guards. They turn around in shock.

Cut to Eve and Virgil landing hard on the ground on their butts after being kicked far away by Gurkhan's guards.

Cut to Virgil and Eve appearing as mimes complete with black and white outfits and white make up.

Cut to Eve and Virgil landing hard on the ground on their butts after being kicked far away by Gurkhan's guards.

Cut to a montage of switches scenes of Eve and Virgil appearing in different costumes and trying different approaches of sneaking past the guards in fading in between the sun rising and setting.

Cut to Eve and Virgil landing hard on the ground on their butts after being kicked far away by Gurkhan's guards again and again and again.

Cut to Eve and Virgil walking slowly back into the market square in Mogador. They both groan from their aches and pains.

Virgil - That's it! No more!! I'm not going through with anymore of your plans!

Eve - Well I don't see you helping much. What do you suggest huh? I dress up like a slave girl so you can sell me to Gurkhan. I'd be trapped like Mother and Gabrielle while you run off like a coward!!

Virgil is about to retaliate when some one shouts out.

Auctioneer - That's the one!!! That's they guy who made me sell a thief to Gurkhan. And there's the bounty hunter who threatened me!! GET THEM!!

Eve and Virgil break in to a run running trough the streets. As people block their way the quickly switch direction and run down another street. They are suddenly jumped at all directions and everything goes black.

Cut to Eve opening her eyes but something is not right as her hair looks like it's standing on end.

We pan out and do a 180 as we see Eve and Virgil tied up together back to back hanging upside down in a horse stable.

Eve - (looks around) Well . . . this is a fine mess you've gotten us into!

Virgil - ME? ME? ME? YOU WANTED TO COME HERE IN THE FIRST PLACE!

Eve looks blankely ahead. She doesn't have an answer. She suddenly bursts out crying

Virgil - (winces and starts feeling guilty) Oh . . .oh no, no don't . . .come on Eve . . . Don't cry.

This only makes Eve cry harder.

Eve - You're right. I thought I could make my plans work just like my mother and look where's it's got us. I've failed. I've discarded all my beliefs, I've hurt people, I got you hurt, I'm going to lose the only family I've ever known and I'm going to get us killed.

Virgil - Discarded all your beliefs? Eve you've tried every peaceful way possible to try and save two people you care the world about. And you didn't kill anyone you just tried to defend yourself and me. I'm sorry I snapped at you. We might be still able to get Xena and Gabrielle out, providing we can get out of this first.

Eve - What's the use? I'm a fake . . .a fraud. How can I ever be the kind of person Eli needs me to be?

Virgil - You can start by not giving up! Eve, I know I haven't been kind to you. I still hurt over my father's murder but you are trying so hard to change. The least I can do is let you try. I lost my faith once because of you, there in no reason why you can't bring it back.

Eve - Really?

Virgil - Yeah. Look, if we're going to get through this, we got to be together on this, be strong together. That's how Xena and Gabrielle always got through, that's what Eli always preached, love and faith in one another. Come on Eve, think!!! I believe in you.

Eve with a sudden burst of energy looks around. There is a simple knife stuck in a board.

Eve - Virgil help me swing back and forth

Virgil and Eve begin swing back and forth until Eve reaches the board with the knife stuck in it. After a few tries she is able to grasp the hilt of the knife with her teeth and pull in out. She then begins to swing side to side. Virgil catches on and helps. When the are full swing Eve throws the knife up and it cuts through the rope setting them free. Eve and Virgil still tied back-to-back flip through the air and land on their feet. Virgil leans forward setting Eve on his back. He picks up the knife and makes a run for the door. Virgil busts out of the stables into the open. They are seen!

Female - They are getting away!!!

Eve - Virgil set me down! Quick!

Virgil sets Eve down on the ground. Eve bends over and lifts Virgil on to her back. She swings him around. Virgil kicks a few people out of his way. Virgil gets on his feet lifts Eve on his back and swings her around. The people dodge out of the way of Eve's feet and leave a path clear. Eve sees a canopy over a fruit stand.

Eve - Virgil flip with me!!

Still tied back to back Virgil and Eve jump high in the air and a do a huge cartwheel in the air and land at the fruit stand. They jump up again and flip up onto the canopy. They bounce up and off the canopy and spin around and on to the roof top of a building. All the people look up in awe. Virgil hands Eve the knife. Awkwardly Eve throws the knife up in the air. As it comes back down it cuts through the rope and Eve and Virgil are set free from their bonds.

Eve - Come on let's get back to the boat and regroup.

Cut to the boat. Eve is back in her old clothes pulling the shall up on her shoulder. Virgil is also back in his regular clothes.

Virgil - So what now?

Eve - We go to Gurkhan's harem in full force and get my mother and Gabrielle out!

Xena - (voice) We're already out!

Cut to Gabrielle in her dance clothes and Xena in her clothes from the auction.

Eve - Mother! Gabrielle!

Eve jumps in to Xena's and Gabrielle's arms and hugs them tightly

Eve - You got out!! You're all right!

Virgil - Told ya!

Eve rolls her eyes then turns back to Xena and Gabrielle as they present Sarah

Gabrielle - This is Sarah

Xena - We also brought some other people.

Suddenly all of the girls from Gurkhan's harem walk on to the boat. Virgil's eyes nearly pop out of his head.

Virgil - Girls!! Loads and loads of girls!!

Eve turns around and smacks Virgil in the chest.

Fade to later that day. Eve walks over to the other side of the boat to talk to Virgil who seems to be deep in thought.

Eve - Dinar for your thoughts

Virgil - I'm just thinking about what to do next. Gabrielle and Xena are getting off at the next port. They want to stay in North Africa awhile but I don't think I'll join them. I'm going to head back to Greece. I've had enough adventure for awhile.

Eve - I know what you mean. I won't be joining them either.

Virgil - Really?

Eve - Someone is going to have to take these girls back to their homes and make sure Sarah gets back safely. I thought maybe I could help and then I thought about traveling to an Eli temple. I think I could learn a few things there.

Virgil - Like what?

Eve - Ever since I was initiated I've spent alot of time trying to preach like Eli, trying to be like him and do what everyone expected of him. I'm terrible at it. Over the past few days I've tried to be like my mother and Gabrielle, I'm not very good at that either. I've spent so much time as Livia, I don't really know who I am. I think I need some time to figure that out.

Virgil - Life may be a battle but you don't have to fight it alone

Eve - (nods) Stronger united. I know. I think you and I proved that today. Only when we started to work together and believe in each other did we start to accomplish things.

Virgil - Eve, I don't know if I'm ready to forgive you yet. But I promise you that I will work on it. You're going to work to atone, the least I can do is work to forgive you.

Eve - (smiles with tears in her eyes as she looks at Virgil) Thank you.

Eve and Virgil embrace warmly as we pan over to Gabrielle and Xena looking at the two curiously

Gabrielle - I wonder what happened to those two while we were gone.

Fade from Gabrielle and Xena on the boat to Eve's face in the present. We pan down to see a bored looking Alex, her face in her hands.

Alex - Your story telling still needs work.

Eve - It's not the story, it's the message.

Morgan - We get it. We've got a battle ahead.

Eve - And we can't fight them if we're fighting each other. Only together, united and strong will we be able to get through.

Craig - And we have to start by forgiving each other because that's what family does.

James - So what now ?

Eve - We do what I should have done in Mogodor. We wait.
