Message to Fr. Melvin Doucette November 30, 2007 (Feast of St. Andrew) I wish to live in your heart Reading: John 19, 16 30 Dear friends, I will leave today for the monastery in New Brunswick where I will stay for the weekend. On Monday I will go to Las Vegas, Nevada, for a novena for world peace. I will be back on December 13 and will be home for Christmas. I spent a half-hour in prayer this morning with Jesus in His Passion. He said, Melvin, My brother, come near to My cross as I undergo the crucifixion. I am in great pain with nails through My hands and feet and losing blood through these wounds. The crown of thorns is on My head, driven with pressure by the soldiers and the blood is flowing from the many wounds made by the thorns. I have great difficulty breathing in this position on the cross. I know it is only a matter of time when I will die in this pain. Remain near My cross today and know that it was the instrument used by Me to offer My supreme sacrifice to the Father for your salvation. I gave My life for you because I love you and I want you to be with Me in heaven in the future. Contemplate your crucified Saviour and see what torture your sins caused Me. However, by My suffering and death, I am paying the price for your offenses and opening heaven for you. My brothers and sisters, I thirst for you. I thirst that you come to believe in Me as your Lord and Saviour. My thirst for you means that I want a strong and intimate relationship with you. I want you near Me every day so you have to make a place for Me in your heart. Come and repent of all your sins and enter My Kingdom. Turn away from the temptations of this world and come follow Me. I wish to live in your heart today and forever. My life on earth is finished, as I am about to die in this horrible pain. I accept it for you because I love you. Come often to Holy Mass because My sacrifice on the cross is present anew at each celebration. Come and receive all the graces I have for you. I am dying for you. MEDJUGORJE DAY BY DAY These thoughts for a day are taken from a daily meditation book based on the Messages of Our Lady of Medjugorje by Father Richard J. Beyer, Ave Maria Press. Dec 1 - SACRIFICE Today the Blessed Mother advises us on how to begin Advent: Prepare yourselves spiritually and mentally for Christmas. In your prayers, offer one especially for my intentions. Sacrifice something that you like the most (Visionary Prayer Group Dec 15, 1989). St. Peter also speaks of spiritual preparations: Rid your selves, therefore, of all malice, and all guile, insincerity, envy, and all slander. Like newborn infants, long for the pure, spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow into salvation (1 Pt 2: 1-2). Reflection: During Advent of 1989, Our Lady asked Jelena's prayer group (and by extension all of us), to prepare spiritually for Christmas through prayer and sacrifice. These two activities build on one another in several ways. First, sacrifice amplifies the power of prayer many times over. Second, Mary knows well that actions speak louder than words. She calls us to the specific action of making a special sacrifice for Advent, which will demonstrate our love for God in a concrete manner. Third, sacrifice will help us to develop a healthy self-discipline, so that we will not jump at every stray impulse that comes our way. And last, the spiritual merit of any act of self denial will last for eternity. The spiritual preparation for Christmas will clearly help in our growth toward holiness. This is a special time when we can sort out virtues form vices, as Peter recommends today: " Strip away everything deceitful pretenses, jealousies, and disparaging remarks of any kind. " In the end, of course, Christmas will be meaningful and joyous for us to the extent that we have prepared ourselves spiritually for it, as Mary encourages us today. Application: With reference to Our Lady's message decide today what sacrifice you can offer to God during Advent. In what way can you deepen your prayer life during these four weeks? Message to J.N.S.R. September 24,2007 And behold coming towards youis the Purification of souls and bodies ******* September 24, 2007 JESUS: Pray for the Holy Spirit to help you. This self examination of conscience will be done in each of you. You will then have the possibility of knowing yourselves exactly as you are, with your faults still attached to your soul and the progress to be made. Some will even be afraid to see themselves so somber, and will cry out of fright. That fright will be salutary to them, for the Holy Spirit, at your door, waits for you to call Him to hear your sincere sorrow, for you will be cleansed forever. It is the Holy Confession to God. Many will call Him to their rescue in order to be delivered. The Force of the Holy Spirit in each one, depends on your efforts to listen to Him, to obey Him. Thank Him for all the blessings He brings you every day. He is the Faithful Friend of all the souls of good will. He is the Third Person of the Holy Trinity, the guide of all the Apostles who received Him in their heart, in the company of the Holy Mother of the Saviour on the Feast of Pentecost. The Purification is a Blessing from God who is sending you the Holy Spirit Purifier, for you will receive with this Bath of Purification, the Second Pentecost of Love in order to walk with the Lord, cleansed of your sins. Then you will observe in yourselves, the first Commandment of God, the one which contains all: "You shall love the Lord your God, with all your heart, with all your strength, with all your soul and your neighbor as yourself." As you see, when you are called to follow Me, it will be that the work of Purification will already have been accomplished and the Sanctification of your souls will make you, all of you, an Elect walking toward God, who will shelter you to prepare, through His Divine Commandment by His Holy Word, this New Earth and the New Heavens promised to the Elect of God. My daughter, I will tell you, little by little, while waiting for the moment when all will become, for My Messengers, like a dialogue between God and each of them. My daughter, pray while you still can do it and do not stop receiving Communion. The Eucharist will be your strength and will nourish those who are hungry for God and thirsty for My Holy Word.
