Come to prayer

Reading: Luke 1:26-38

Dear friends,

The Father sent His Son Jesus into the world to reconcile us to Him.

I spent a half-hour in prayer this morning with Our Heavenly Father. He said, Melvin, My son, I love you and bless you. I bless all My sons and daughters living in all the countries of the world.

It was out of love for you that I sent My Son Jesus to be born as one of you. He came to show you My love and to teach you the way you should go. His life on earth was very pleasing to Me and at the end He offered His supreme sacrifice on the cross for your salvation.

He is the mediator between you and Me, who brought about reconciliation between us and opened heaven for you.

You are now in the season of Advent, the liturgical time during which the Church awaits the coming of the Saviour. You are preparing yourselves for the great Feast of Christmas when you will live again the birth of My Son in Bethlehem, born of the Virgin Mary.

He is My greatest gift to the world. He came to live among you and He is the light that chases the darkness in your hearts and in society. He is your only way to reach your final destination, which is to be united with Me in heaven forever.

He is truth and He came to teach you the truth. I desire that you all listen to Him with an open heart and accept with great faith all that He has taught you. Do not accept the falsehood of the world but the truth brought to you by Jesus, My Son, and your Redeemer.

My sons and daughters, you have the coming weeks to prepare yourselves for another encounter with your Lord. The first thing you need to do is to repent of your sins by receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation so that you may receive My pardon for all your sins.

Because of the supreme sacrifice of My Son on the cross, I am always ready to forgive you if you repent of your sins. What is also important is to pray every day. Come to prayer so that you may have an intimate relationship with Jesus, My Son, and with Me.

Do not forget to go to church often and to receive My Son in Holy Communion. Forgive all those who have hurt you and be ready to help all those in need. I bless you all.

God gives each soul that He has created an opportunity to find itself face to face with Him, to accept or reject Him.

Padre Pio - Your Kingdom is not far away, allow us to participate in Your triumph on earth to then participate in Your Kingdom in Heaven.

Grant that, being unable to contain the communication of Your charity, we preach Your Divine Regality by our example and good works.

Take possession of our hearts in time to possess them in eternity. Keep us under Your scepter so that neither life nor death can separate us from You.

Let our lives be drawn from You in large draughts of love which will then extend over humanity and let us die at every moment to live only for You and keep You in our hearts.

When I entered chapel, I heard these words interiorly: Every time you enter the chapel, immediately recite the prayer which I taught you yesterday. When I had said the prayer, in my soul I heard these words: This prayer will serve to appease My wrath.

You will recite it for nine days, on the beads of the rosary, in the following manner: First of all, you will say one OUR FATHER and HAIL MARY and the I BELIEVE IN GOD. Then on the OUR FATHER beads you will say the following words: "Eternal Father, I offer You the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your dearly beloved Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world." During Holy Mass I prayed fervently that Jesus might become King of all hearts and that divine grace might shine in every soul. Then I saw Jesus as He is depicted in the Image, and He said to me, My daughter, you give Me the greatest glory by faithfully fulfilling My desires.      (500)

Dec 4 - I SEEK TO GUIDE YOU

Today the Virgin wants to imbue us with the virtues of faith :

Dear children, day by day I wish to clothe you with holiness, goodness, obedience, and the love of God, so that day by day you become more beautiful and more prepared for your God. Dear children, listen to my messages and live them. I seek to guide you (Weekly Message October 24, 1985).

And from Paul's letter to the church at Rome :

But you are not in the flesh; you are in the Spirit, since the Spirit of God dwells in you.

Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him. But if Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness (Rom 8 :9-10).

Reflection:

The word church used in most of the North European languages comes from the Greek Kyriakeoikia, "the family of the Lord." It is significant that when people sought a word to describe the reality of what it means to be church , the word they chose meant "family of the Lord."

As Christians, the blood of Christ flows through all of our veins, for we are his body. We belong to him and live under his protection. St. Paul speaks of our being « sealed » into the Lord's family : "But it is God who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us, by putting his seal on us and giving us his Spirit in our hearts as a pledge." (2 Cor 1 :21-22).

Application :

Today, pray for the indelible marks of faith that the Blessed Virgin speaks of in her message : holiness, goodness, obedience, and love of God.

Papal Decision for 40th Anniversary of Close of Vatican II

VATICAN CITY, NOV. 30, 2005 (Zenit.org). - Benedict XVI is offering the faithful a plenary indulgence on the solemnity of the Immaculate Conception, Dec. 8, the 40th anniversary of the close of the Second Vatican Council.

The indulgence was announced in a decree published in Latin on Tuesday, signed by Cardinal James Stafford and Conventual Franciscan Father John Girotti, penitentiary major and regent, respectively, of the Apostolic Penitentiary.
 

The document establishes that when the Pope renders public homage to Mary Immaculate in Rome's Piazza di Spagna, he "has the heartfelt desire that the entire Church should join him, so that all the faithful, united in the name of the common Mother, become ever stronger in the faith, adhere with greater devotion to Christ, and love their brothers with more fervent charity."

"From here -- as Vatican Council II very wisely taught -- arise works of mercy toward the needy, observance of justice, and the defense of and search for peace," adds the decree.

For this reason, the decree continues, the Holy Father "has kindly granted the gift of plenary indulgence which may be obtained under the usual conditions (sacramental confession, Eucharistic Communion and prayer in keeping with the intentions of the Supreme Pontiff), with the soul completely removed from attachment to any form of sin, on the forthcoming solemnity of the Immaculate Conception, by the faithful if they participate in a sacred function in honor of the Virgin, or at least offer open testimony of Marian devotion before an image of Mary Immaculate exposed for public veneration, adding the recitation of the Our Father and of the Creed, and some invocation to the Virgin."

The document concludes by recalling that faithful who "through illness or other just cause" are unable to participate in a public ceremony or to venerate an image of the Virgin, "may obtain a plenary indulgence in their own homes, or wherever they may be, if, with the soul completely removed from any form of sin, and with the intention of observing the aforesaid conditions as soon as possible, they unite themselves in spirit and in desire to the Supreme Pontiff's intentions in prayer to Mary Immaculate, and recite the Our Father and the Creed."

On Dec. 8, 1965, Pope Paul VI, in closing Vatican II, dedicated great praise to the Blessed Virgin who, as Mother of Christ, is Mother of God and spiritual Mother of all mankind. 

"I understand that, each time we contemplate with desire and devotion the Host in which is hidden Christ's Eucharistic Body, we increase our merits in heaven and secure special joys to be ours later in the beatific vision of God." (St. Gertrude)

Today's Tidbit Advent begins with the Evening Prayer on the vigil for the First Sunday of Advent. The First Sunday of Advent begins the new Liturgical Year; this year is year C in the Sunday Cycle and year 1 in the Weekday Cycle.

With Evening Prayer 1 after the First Sunday of Advent, Volume One of the Liturgy of the Hours is used and the final Marian anthem after Compline is the "Alma Redemptoris mater."

Of the persecuted and the humble, Christ said :

We have all heard statements like : " He's only a jail-bird, " or " She's only a waitress. " Some people have a bag full of " onlys " those who live in slums, maids, street cleaners, the foreigners in our land.

All can be looked upon as being " only " or " just " or " merely. " It is an arrogance that goes against the grain of a lived faith, and it sadly marks not only individuals but even nations.

As followers of Christ and Our Lady, who especially love the poor and the humble, we are called to eliminate the tendency to see any human being as " only " anything. If we need to label or tag anyone, let is be as brother or sister, friend or colleague.

Yes son, I have a message today. Do not practice what to you seems hypocrisy. Be true to yourself. Do not think much of what others will say about you. Truthfulness to self brings peace to the mind and calms the soul. Only in honesty and truth and love can God's version of truth reach the heart of a human being. Anything less than that corrupts the flow of communication between God and man.

Integrity, fidelity to duty, faithfulness, obedience, sagacity, helpfulness, tolerance of the faults, mistakes and imperfections of others, amiability, cooperation, soft speaking, self-control, control of the toungue most emphatically, diligence, humility, meekness, patience, these are qualities and attributes that make a person shine in the eyes of the Divine.
Not easy to have in a short period of time but a constant application with discipline and at the same time invoking the Holy Spirit for assistance will help a person embed in his inner being, soul, mind and spirit these desirable traits.
A person has much to work for, for the perfection of the self but I tell you that it is very much worth it for the rewards are great the enjoyment of the benefits in eternity in the Father's beautiful world.

He is eternal life, so please turn to Jesus so you have the grace needed to move forward. Strive to be like Jesus. Make time to adore Our Lord. Make time to pray and be submissive to God's Holy Will. Amen.

On the first of every month, Our Lord gives Anne a new message about

 His call to service. 

December 1, 2007 

Jesus

We are a faith of waiting. You wait for Me to return to the world and I

wait for souls to return to Me. You feel a longing for Me and for

 goodness that causes you pain at times. I feel a similar longing for souls in

 the world who have rejected Me and so suffer the pain of separation from

 Me.

How they hurt. How their wounds disturb them and cause them to hurt

 others. My heart sighs with loneliness for them. I ache to comfort them and

 console them. I long to heal their wounds. You, My beloved apostles, comfort Me

 in this grief by sharing this experience with Me. I am comforted by your

fidelity to Me which is reflected in your fidelity to the cause of your

brothers and sisters. 

As I wait, so do you wait and as I suffer, so do

 you suffer. I speak to you today, though, to remind you of something. As I

rejoice, so should you rejoice. Rejoice with Me at the return of many

 souls

just as perhaps others rejoiced at your return. Rejoice with Me at the

healing of many souls, just as perhaps others rejoiced at your healing.

 You will rejoice that others return to Me through your consistent and

 humble service. We are a faith of waiting, it is true, but we are also a faith

 of rejoicing. The Father’s goodness spreads out over the earth in this

 time in waves of kindness and benevolence. You, My beloved apostles, gently

 push these waves out with your commitment to My service. The great mercy of

 the Father draws souls to My heart, the heart that burns steadily, a

 furnace of divine compassion and love. We are waiting, yes. But while we are

 waiting, we are preparing. You prepare to receive your King and I prepare to

 receive the fruits of your service. Be at peace, My beloved friends. We serve

together, we suffer together, and we rejoice together. Be assured that

 you are loved and that your loneliness is temporary. I am returning.

Saturday, December 8th - The Hour of Grace

THE REQUEST OF OUR BLESSED MOTHER FOR THE HOUR OF GRACE :

1. Day and time of the Hour of Grace: December 8th, Feast of the Immaculate Conception, to be started at 12:00 noon and continuing until 1:00 p.m. for one full hour of prayer.

2. During this hour, the person making the "Hour of Grace" either at home or at Church must put away all distractions (do not answer the telephones, or answer any doors, or do anything but totally concentrate on your union with God during this special Hour of Grace) .

3. Begin the Hour of Grace by praying three (3) times the 51st Psalm with out-stretched arms. (Psalm 51 appears below)

4. The rest of the Hour of Grace may be spent in silent communication with God meditating upon the Passion of Jesus, saying the Holy Rosary, praising God in your own way, or by using favorite prayers, singing hymns, meditating upon other psalms, etc.

Please copy and distribute this message. Remember to pray for your country during this hour. The Blessed Virgin has requested that her important message be sent throughout the entire world. Please help her Mission: that all souls be drawn to GOD, and that JESUS will be loved in every heart. This is the perpetual song of her heart. Let it also be ours.

PSALM 51

John of God - A Word from the Lord

GOD says:  "On high I dwell...and with the crushed and dejected in spirit, to revive the spirits of the dejected, to revive the hearts of the crushed."  - Isaiah 57:15

 
The Miracle Prayer

Lord, Jesus, I come before You, just as I am. I am sorry for my sins, I repent of my sins, please forgive me. In Your name, I forgive all others for what they have done against me. I renounce Satan, the evil spirits and all their works. I give You my entire self, Lord Jesus, now and forever.  I invite You into my life, Jesus. I accept You as my Lord and Savior. Heal me, change me, strengthen me in body, soul and spirit.

Come, Lord Jesus, cover me with Your precious blood and fill me with Your Holy Spirit.  I love You, Jesus. I praise You, Jesus. I thank You, Jesus. I shall follow You every day of my life. Amen.

(Say this prayer faithfully, no matter how you feel. When you come to the point where you sincerely mean each word, with all your heart, something good spiritually will happen to you. You will experience Jesus, and He will change your whole life in a very special way. You will see.)
