Message to Fr. Melvin Doucette December 18, 2007 I am your elder Brother Reading: John 15:1-10 Dear friends, Let us be filled with joy at the coming of the Lord at Christmas. I am trying to catch up on my correspondence but it is not easy with all the mail I received. Let us continue to pray for little Brando so that the Lord heals him and that He blesses the family. My contemplative prayer this morning was spent with Jesus Our Lord who said, ?Melvin, My brother and companion, I love you and bless you. I fill you all, My brothers and sisters, with My love and peace. I want you all as My friends who come to Me in prayer every day. The prayer I recommend you is contemplative prayer and I give to all this special grace of contemplative prayer if you ask Me. It is a gaze of faith fixed on Me for an extended period of time. Open the eyes of your heart and you will gaze at Me for I am very close to you. This prayer of the heart brings you to know Me in a very personal way. It is knowing Me in faith and through a loving relationship with the one who is your Redeemer and Brother. I want you to live in My Heart. The greatest gift I can give you is the gift of Myself in contemplative prayer. When you receive Me in the Holy Eucharist, you have the proof that I live in your heart but it can be cold living there in your heart if you do not come and spend time with Me. I am your Friend so take time every day to be with Me. I bless all those who come to Me in contemplative prayer every day. Even if you spend only ten or fifteen minutes with Me, at least it is a beginning. Stop searching in the material world for something to bring peace to your heart. Your heart was made for Me and I am the only one who can satisfy your heart. Come to Me and you will have the peace and joy that you are looking for. I will also help you to carry your cross and I will give meaning to your life. You were created, each one of you, for something very special: to live in union with Me forever. I am your elder Brother who gave His life for you to help you. You can do nothing without Me. Let us continue then our partnership every day and climb the mountain of God. I bless you. Pray hard that when you enter the veil, you will see me. The banquet is ready. Wear your best attire for the occasion. The best wine will be served much better tasting than the wine at the wedding feast at Cana.Music is heavenly. Fruits of all kind will be there. Food is excellent. The mansions are ready.
