Message to Fr. Melvin Doucette January 4, 2008

I will send upon you all the Holy Spirit

Reading: Matthew 10:5 -15

Dear friends,

The Kingdom of heaven is at hand. Matthew 10:6b

I spent a half-hour in contemplative prayer this morning. Jesus, our Redeemer, said, Melvin, My brother and companion, I love you. As you honour My Sacred Heart today, I wish to embrace you all, My brothers and sisters, and hold you close to My Heart. You are all dear to Me, especially those who love Me and come to Me in contemplative prayer every day. This is the personal prayer I prefer above all the others. You truly become My friend if you spend time with Me in this heart-to-heart prayer.

I came into this world to redeem you and to establish My Kingdom. I chose twelve Apostles to go everywhere to spread the news of the Kingdom and to establish My Church. I sent them to cure the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers and drive out demons. This is what I did when I was in the world and I gave the same powers to the Apostles and those who succeeded them. They are to go to all the towns and villages throughout the world to call the people to believe in My Word and to be members of My Kingdom.

There will be some who will not receive you and others who will persecute you. Do not be afraid, but shake the dust from your feet and continue to another place. Many will come to believe and be My disciples. I urge the members of My Church to organize themselves and go to all the homes of those people who do not pray and call them in My Name to follow Me. Some will refuse, but others will accept and return to Me.

Time is short and I want all My brothers and sisters to be saved. You who are part of My Mystical Body need to pray for the conversion of all those who do not believe and do your part in ministering to them. I send upon you all once more the Holy Spirit and the wonderful gift of peace. I give you My blessing for I love you.

Father Melvin

Message From Mother Mary Thru Lec - January 4, 2008

MESSAGE FROM MOTHER MARY January 4, 2008

7:10 AM

Son, I wish to say these:

My sons and daughters, this is the Mother of the Savior and your Mother too.

I wish to be with you in every occasion you call on my Motherly intercession but let me remind you that my presence in your prayer gatherings as well as in your private devotions hinges on the fervor with which you say your prayers.  Hastily done, thinking that praying the Rosary is merely repeating the prayers, I say to you, meditate first on each mystery to be reminded and thereby honor the life, death and resurrection of our Lord and likewise in acknowledgement of the role which God the Almighty placed on my being to help bring the Savior into the world.  I am Mary, conceived without sin, for the Lord cannot be brought out into the world in a being with even a small taint of sin in the soul.

I am merely an obedient servant to my Lord and Savior.

May His will be done on earth as it is in heaven!

Message From the Father Thru Lec - January 4, 2008

MESSAGE FROM THE FATHER January 4, 2008

6:35 AM

Son, please bring these words to the hearer!

The Father of Mankind, the I AM, exhorts you to believe in my Son Jesus for He

is the lamb that was slain for your sins.

He was sent that your path back to my Kingdom be guided by the teachings He made

known to you. Embrace all what He taught you, never choosing only that which

appeals to your senses. When He said "walk in the narrow way, He meant a life

of sacrifice and consecration dedicated to the Kingdom. Do not seek the easy

way out as the glory that awaits those who give their lives for the cause of my

Son far outstrips those who desire to leave and thereby escape the dire times

that are to come. Whoever helps my Son in the work of saving more souls in the

last days do I reserve a place in eternity that compensates them a thousand fold

certainly the enjoyment of the kind of life that everyone could only dream of.

Many are called but few are chosen. Many will say, Lord, Lord we prophesied in

your name, we cast out demons but I will tell them I do not know you. Whoever

gives his life for the sake of the Gospel does not mean escaping when times get

rough but means remaining unto the end until I decide that you have enough and I

will say "my faithful servant, come into my rest and receive your reward".

Conform to my will. I will never lead you astray. Whatever comes to you will

be the best for your eternal glory.

I AM Your Father of All Mankind.

THE ULTIMATE VICTORY

PLEASE PONDER THE UPCOMING ELECTIONS

FOR SATAN HAS ALSO ENDORSED HIS SELECTIONS.

DO NOT VOTE FOR THOSE WHO SEEK POWER AND GLORY

FOR THIS, MY DEAR CHILDREN, IS THE WRONG CATEGORY.

PRAY FOR ALL THOSE WHO WILL BE INCLUDED

THAT THEIR PLEDGES BY SATAN MAY NOT BE POLLUTED.

DO NOT BE MISLED BY ALL THAT YOU HEAR;

INSTEAD, SEARCH YOUR HEART WHERE THE MESSAGE IS CLEAR.

IF THE LAWS GOD HAS GIVEN THEY CANNOT REPRESENT,

THEN THE OFFICE THEY'RE SEEKING YOUR VOTE SHOULD PREVENT.

THIS MAY BE A PRELUDE OF EVENTS SOON TO COME

IF THOSE ELECTED TO POWER OPPOSE THE LAWS OF MY SON.

THE MILLIONS OF CHILDREN THAT MAY SOON BE ABORTED

WILL RELY ON HOW YOU FOR THESE CANDIDATES VOTED.

YOU ARE THE ONES THAT THESE SOULS REPRESENT

BY THE VOTE THAT YOU CAST IN THE COMING EVENT.

IF THIS ELECTION IS TAINTED AND BY EVIL IS SWAYED,

THEN THE WRATH OF GOD'S SWORD WILL NOT BE DELAYED.

THIS COUNTRY'S FUTURE MAY NOW BE AT STAKE

BY ACTS OF OMISSION OR THE JUDGMENTS YOU MAKE.

THE PRAYER OF THE FAITHFUL CAN ALTER THE COURSE

THAT THE LEGIONS OF DEMONS NOW TRY TO ENFORCE.

THE POWER OF PRAYER CAN DIVERT SATAN'S PLAN

BECAUSE GOD THRU HIS POWER GAVE THIS OPTION TO MAN.

THE ULTIMATE VICTORY WILL BE CLAIMED BY ALL THOSE

WHO THE LAWS GOD HAS GIVEN DID NOT OPPOSE.

CONSIDER NOT JUST YOUR PERSONAL GAIN

BU THE JOURNEY YOU TRAVEL AND WHERE YOUR SOUL WILL REMAIN.

Medjugorje Day By Day Jan 04 - ST. ELIZABETH ANN SETON

"Called to continue before the Most Blessed Sacrament the Magi's adoration

at the Crib of Bethlehem, we ought to make ours the thought and love which 0

guided and sustained them.  They began at Bethlehem what we are doing in the

presence of the Sacred Host . . . .

"The adoration of the Magi was a homage of faith and a tribute of love to

the Incarnate Word; such ought to be our Eucharistic adoration . . . .

"How fortunate we are to be able to share, through the Eucharist, the

happiness of Mary, of the Magi, and of the first disciples who offered gifts to

Jesus Christ!  In the Eucharist we still have the poverty of Bethlehem to

relieve.  Oh!  Yes!  All the good things of grace and of glory come to us through

the divine Eucharist.  Their fountainhead is at Bethlehem, which became a

heaven of love; they gathered volume all through the life of the Savior; and all

these rivers of grace, virtue, and merit empty into the ocean of this adorable

Sacrament, in which we possess them in all their fullness . . . .

"The Magi are our models, the first adorers.  Let us be worthy of their

royal faith in Jesus Christ.  Let us be heirs to their love, and one day we

will be heirs to their glory.  Amen" (St. Peter Julian Eymard).

Mother Teresa  -

What is important is that we are able to smile at one another in our families.

Padre Pio - Oh how precious time is! Blessed are those who know how to make good use of it, because, on the day of judgment, all will have to render a strict account of it to the supreme Judge. Oh, if only all could understand how precious time is, undoubtedly everyone would do his best to spend it in a praise worthy manner!

Archbishop Fulton Sheen -

Passion is definitely a conscious affair

"Passion is not a reflex like the watering of a dog's mouth in the presence of food. It is true that there are many similarities between passion in animals and passion in man, but it must never be forgotten that in man, passion cannot operate unless something is known. The eye has a reflex action when someone is about to thrust his finger into it, but passion is a conscious affair; it is something that happens to a creature endowed with reason and free will."

St. Faustina's diary  http://www.marian.org/directory_flash.html  Write this: before I come as the just Judge, I am coming first as the King of Mercy. Before the day of justice arrives, there will be given to people a sign in the heavens of this sort:

All light in the heavens will be extinguished, and there will be great darkness over the whole earth. Then the sign of the cross will be seen in the sky, and from the openings where the hands and the feet of the Savior were nailed will come forth great lights which will light up the earth for a period of time. This will take place shortly before the last day.      (83)

O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fount of mercy for us, I trust in You!       (84)

On Friday, after Holy Communion, I was carried in spirit before the throne of God. There I saw the heavenly Powers which incessantly praise God. Beyond the throne I saw a brightness inaccessible to creatures, and there only the Incarnate Word enters as Mediator. When Jesus entered this light, I heard these words, Write down at once what you hear: I am the Lord in My essence and am immune to orders or needs. If I call creatures into being-that is the abyss of My mercy. And at that very moment I found myself, as before, in our chapel at my kneeler, just as Mass had ended. I already had these words written.       (85)

MEDJUGORJE DAY BY DAY

These thoughts for a day are taken from a daily meditation book based on the Messages of Our Lady of Medjugorje by Father Richard J. Beyer, Ave Maria Press.

Jan 4 - ST. ELIZABETH ANN SETON

The Blessed Mother sees our happiness as the best way to attract others to the faith. She said to Jelena's prayer group:

When you convey my messages, be on your guard that they are not lost. Convey my messages with humility, so that in seeing your happiness, others will desire to share it.

Do not carry my messages lightly, simply scatter before people (Locutionist Jelena & Mirjana July 1985).

In his letter to the Romans, Paul also stresses the great importance of those who carry the message of faith:

"Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved."

But how are they to call on one in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in one of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone to proclaim him? And how are they to proclaim him unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!" (Rom 10 :13-15).

Reflection:

The American saint, Elizabeth Ann Seton, exemplified the qualities of discipleship we see in our readings today: courage in carrying the message of faith, a joyfulness that attracted others, and the zeal to bear a great harvest for the Lord. Upon the death of her husband, by whom she had five children, Elizabeth became a convert to Catholicism, and in 1809 established an order of teaching sisters. She founded a great number of Catholic schools and is now honored as the patroness of Catholic education in America.

In her short life (she died on this day at the age of 46), she had a profound effect on American Catholicism which is still felt to this day.

Application:

In her honor, let us offer the Anima Christi (Body of Christ) written by Elizabeth Ann Seton:

Soul of Jesus, sanctify me; blood of Jesus, wash me; passion of Jesus, comfort me; wounds of Jesus, hide me; heart of Jesus, receive me; Spirit of Jesus, enliven me; goodness of Jesus, pardon me; beauty of Jesus, draw me; humility of Jesus, humble me; peace of Jesus, pacify me; love of Jesus, inflame me; kingdom of Jesus, come to me; grace of Jesus, replenish me; mercy of Jesus, pity me; sanctify me; purity of Jesus purify me.

MESSAGE FROM JESUS

January 4, 2008

6:50 AM

Son, please tell the others of these words!

To the hearers of my words, I know each one of you. I know if my very words are

taking root into your hearts and unto your minds or these are merely brought to

naught. Do not waste the opportunity to listen for my communing with you is not

intended to last forever.

Some time in the foreseeable time to come, my fellowship with you through this

means will end. I am not saying this to scare you into listening to me but time

will come when the RESTRAINER will be removed from your midst for the prophesied

times to proceed a time which unfortunately many of you are not prepared.

Learn as much as you can these days for the time is coming fast when what you

learn will be your remaining guide to be able to pass through the turbulence of

the coming period.

Abiding faith will be your strength to keep on going and not lapse into

hopelessness. Build it now fast for when the dire times are here, there is no

more space to build up faith but that coming time will be the time to put that

faith to the test whether you are for me or not.

I tell you today so you will know.

The Holy Name of Jesus

Br. Peter Totleben, O.

January 3, 2008

One of the best things that I have discovered in religious life is the power of

the Name of Jesus Christ. For the past year and a half, I have started more and

more constantly to call on the Holy Name of Jesus and His mercy. This has

transformed my relationship with God, and sustained me through the difficult

periods of growth that come along with Christian discipleship.

Jesus' Name is such a powerful prayer because names are powerful things. If I

do not know a person's name, then that person is a stranger to me. But, as soon

as I know his name, we are no longer strangers. We have a relationship. We can

talk to one another and share our lives. When we recall a person's name, that

person becomes present to us. When we name a person, we express something of

their personality.

The Foretelling of His Name

The Bible frequently uses names in this way. In Sacred Scripture, a name is

rarely just a name. In fact, when God desired to free his chosen people from

bondage in Egypt, the very first thing He did after calling Moses was to reveal

His Name. He entrusted His Name to Moses as a testimony that He was with Moses

and would deliver His people: Say this to the sons of Israel, I AM has sent me

to you (Ex. 3:14). From then on, the Name of the Lord would be the special

possession of God's chosen people: This is my name for ever, and thus I am to

be remembered throughout all generation (Ex. 3:15). Through the Name, God would

be present to His people: For what great nation is there that has a god so near

to it as the Lord our God is to us, whenever we call upon him? (Dt. 4:7).

And yet, the covenant made with Israel was but a foretaste of the good things to

come. God still did not fully dwell among His people. A sign of this was the

use of the Name. God's proper Name could only be uttered once a year by the

high priest.

As the ages passed, the prophets foretold the coming of a Messiah who would

inaugurate a new chapter in the history of the relationship between God and His

People. The prophets tried to describe the Messiah with names: Behold a virgin

shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel (Is. 7:14), that

is God-with-us. His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,

Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace (Is. 9:6). When the designated time had

come, God came to save His people. By becoming incarnate of the Holy Spirit and

born of the virgin Mary, God dwelt among them as the Word made flesh. Now, when

we gaze on Jesus, we gaze on God Himself, and when we call upon the Name of

Jesus, we invoke the very presence of God Himself.

Remaining in His Name

Through his Holy Name, Jesus can become the constant companion of our souls. By

keeping His Name constantly within our hearts, He can be with us in all of our

joys and sorrows. This is the secret of sanctity. One of the pitfalls that we

must avoid in our spiritual life, especially in our distracted modern culture,

is forgetting God. We may be able to carve out regular time to pray. But

afterwards, does anything change? Or after our communion with God in prayer, do

we live the rest of our lives as if He did not exist? By constantly remembering

His Name, we constantly remember God and the true purpose of our lives. The

more we remember Jesus, the more we see His presence and His grace everywhere,

turning all the moments of our lives into opportunities for sanctity.

By keeping Jesus' Name constantly on our lips and in our hearts, we remain in

His presence, and this is the hidden source of the fruitfulness of all of our

activities. He is the vine who gives life to us, the branches, enabling us to

bear fruit that will last. As St. Hesychios of Sinai said, The more the rain

falls on the earth, the softer it makes it; similarly, Christ's holy name

gladdens the earth of our heart the more we call upon it (On Watchfulness and

Prayer).

The Power and Sweetness of His Name

Because the Holy Name invokes the presence of Christ our Savior, there is real

power in it. Whatever you ask in my name, I will do it, that the Father may be

glorified in the Son; if you ask anything in my name I will do it... Until now

you have asked nothing in my name; ask, and you will receive, that your joy may

be full (Jn. 14:13-14; 16:24). The Holy Name of Jesus heals sickness and drives

away demons; it brings joy and salvation. The trials we face in this valley of

tears easily overwhelm us. It is often too much for us to combat on our own.

In these moments, sometimes the only thing we can do is to cry out to our

Savior, like St. Peter did when he was sinking after walking on water (cf. Mt.

14:30). This is the advice of the nineteenth century Russian Orthodox Bishop

Ignatius Brianchaninov: From the midst of the most furious storm, with

perseverance, courage, and weeping, you will cry to the Lord Jesus Christ, and

He will rebuke the winds and waves. And having learned from experience the

omnipotence of Jesus, we shall render to Him due adoration, saying, Truly you

are the Son of God

(On the Prayer of Jesus).

When Jesus is constantly present in our lives through His Name, He can provide

us with an example of how to live and provide us with aid in times of

temptation. As St. Bernard said, Nothing so curbs the onset of anger, so allays

the upsurge of pride. It cures the wound of envy, controls unbridled

extravagance, and quenches the flame of lust; it cools the thirst of

covetousness and banishes the itch of unclean desire... For when I name Jesus, I

set before me a man who is meek and humble of heart, kind, prudent, chaste,

merciful, flawlessly upright and holy in the eyes of all; and this same man is

the all-powerful God whose way of life heals me, whose support is my strength.

(Sermon 15 On the Song of Songs).

After a fall, we can call upon Jesus' Name and begin to re-enter His presence.

His Name can become for us a healing balm, and we can discover in a personal way

the mercy and loving kindness that He has brought into this world.

Because it is such a treasure, the Name of Jesus should become more and more the

focus of our lives. When we make the Holy Name of Jesus the constant companion

of our hearts devotion and our tongues speech, we can say with St. Bernard:

Write what you will, I shall not relish it unless it tells of Jesus. Talk or

argue about what you will, I shall not relish it if you exclude the name of

Jesus. Jesus to me is honey in the mouth, music in the ear, a song in the heart

(Sermon 15 On the Song of Songs).
