"My beloved children here and everywhere in the world who listen to My voice, I
love you, My dear ones. I am your Immaculate Mother. I am your champion, your
companion on this arduous journey. I come to encourage you to accept whatever
the Father sends to purify you in order that you might be raised higher in His
plan, in the gifts He will allow you, and the miracles He will let you perform
in union with the Triune God and Me, your Holy Mother.
My children, we come closer to the hour of My Son's death. Wherever you are at
that time during this solemn celebration, you are together with Me. We are one,
My children, one in our great love for My son, in our gratitude to Him for all
He suffered for us and enabled in our lives. Know that you are the faithful
ones of God, the Holy Remnant of God, the chosen people of this age and most
precious to all of Heaven. Rejoice, My dear ones, in your sorrow, in your pain,
in disappointment and setbacks. Rejoice! Rejoice that you are allowed to walk
this journey with Jesus. Rejoice that your suffering might reach out to the
world. Whatever you suffer, you know there are millions of people suffering
every moment, every day, more. Unite yourself to them, your brothers and
sisters, who are poor, who are lonely, who suffer doubt and discouragement and
grief.
O My children, it is a time to give thanks for suffering, for the Suffering
Jesus, for the unity you have in your own suffering. There are many kinds of
suffering. Give praise and thanksgiving for all of it. Give praise and
gratitude for the graces you receive. There is nothing you will not do in every
situation for the people around you, and I speak to everyone in the world who
listens and prays and prepares. You have been on this journey of preparation a
long time. The most formative event you have experienced is the waiting; and
you have passed every test, My children. You have come through every fire,
every desire of the Father's love for you. Be little, be small, be hidden with
Me these next days. Feel My presence with you, loving you, embracing you,
praying for the poor and the struggling and the suffering in the whole world.
You have no idea of the great oneness all of you have been given with each
other, the great miracles that have been poured out upon you, you the faithful,
to bring you to this place of readiness. It is more important and wondrous than
you could ever understand. Simply give praise and thanks to Our Father Who
loves you so mightily and protects you in that love.
Have no fear, My children. Be filled with courage this day. Be filled with joy
at your place in the Father's plan. Be filled with joy for the gift of each
other. Always that will be important to you wherever you are, whatever you do,
you will be together, one in the Father's Will, in the Suffering Heart of Jesus,
in the many gifts poured out by the Spirit. You are loved, again, beyond words.
Rejoice, My dear ones, as I rejoice for you and with you. We begin this journey
that will continue to the completion of the Father's plan for this age. They
are sacred days, now; but the sacred days continue in the seriousness of events,
in the seriousness of all that is accomplished in the future. Amen, My
children. Thank you for loving Me, for loving your God. Amen, little ones.

NOTE: There will not be a prayer gathering at Ameche's house for about one
month.
My presence at the talks on March 15 & 16 in Fitchburg MA has been postponed
because of the need for my total knee replacement on March 14th. Please
understand I could not live with the discomfort any longer. It has been a matter
of ongoing treatment for over four years and then I couldn't take it anymore!
Thanks to Marline for inviting me, to John and Carol Leary for carrying on!
Hope I can be with you after recovery!
Also.... talks in Hinckley, Ohio are postponed from April 6th to a date at the
end of May for the same reasons. Recovery takes about six weeks before I can

The Revolution through the Civilization of Love
January 18, 2008 - 2nd message
JNSR: When the Lord informed me that something was in the works "around December", it was this: (God had said that it was about the Pope), and here is what is happening right now:
A man, an Italian journalist, Giuliano Ferrara, last December, went on a hunger strike (taking only water). He was the man of the moment who was going to capture all the attention and hear the Holy Father speak and all of Italy.
At the time when God asked me to inform all my brothers to ask for the Divine Intelligence which JESUS Christ is willing to give us (ask and you shall receive), this man who lived and also participated in the 1968 revolution, (which was aborted before starting), this man had been transformed: God had granted him, at the right time, the Divine Intelligence, which is Life.
He will fight against those man-made deathly laws: the death sentence in prisons and the death sentences for the unborn children, in other words, the abortion laws already voted by most countries. Than man goes from one aborted Revolution to a true Revolution of Love. He goes from Death into Life.
God is using that man to tell the great University of Rome, before almost 5,000 professors, that God wants Life, and the Holy Father should be allowed to come to this great University of Rome to tell for all to hear that God wants Life and that they must allow the Holy Father to speak.
But, behold, a petition of 67 negative voices are opposing the coming of the Pope to the University. So, a great decision is reached: it will be on Sunday, January 20th, 2008 after Mass and from the balcony at St. Peter's Square that the Holy Father will address the crowd.
Let us prepare to hear God's Voice through the mouth of His Holy Representative on Earth.
He alone can give back some credibility to Italy, which is taken up at this time, in this decadent image of the culture of death; in the same manner as the ordinary household garbage, now accumulating in the streets of Naples. That is what Italy, with the Bishop of Rome, the Holy Father Benedict XV1 are going through at this time.
JNSR: My dear friends,
I inform you of this, for God already told us on January 16th, 2008. Today, BFM TV announced: "that high-ranking Russian officers are giving us a possible nuclear warning, and at the same time, they advise all their allies to mobilize their nuclear arms. Russia is actively preparing, saying: "A nuclear war is not improbable". The Russians will watch all the oceans.
I think it was the 16th of January, 2008, that God tells us everything, and especially to pay attention to all this. I was hoping that this would be told on the Internet before being on Television.
I must share this information that I saw and heard on BFM TV, for our trust in God must make of us a "Boomerang" returning to the Evil One all alarming and bad information for he is the Enemy of God and of mankind.
And we proclaim loudly:
God alone is our Shield,
our Armour and our Strength.

Medjugorje Day By Day Mar 10 - Conquer some fault each day

This evening, a certain young man was dying; he was suffering terribly. For his intention, I began to say the chaplet which the Lord had taught me. I said it all, but the agony continued. I wanted to start the Litany of the Saints, but suddenly I heard the words, Say the chaplet. I understood that the soul needed the special help of prayers and great mercy. And so I locked myself in my room and fell prostrate before God and begged for mercy upon that soul. Then I felt the great majesty of God and His great justice. I trembled with fear, but did not stop begging the Lord's mercy for that soul. Then I took the cross off my breast, the crucifix I had received when making my vows, and I put it on the chest of the dying man and said to the Lord, "Jesus, look on this soul with the same love with which You looked on my holocaust on the day of my perpetual vows, and by the power of the promise which You made to me in respect to the dying and those who would invoke Your mercy on them, [grant this man the grace of a happy death]." His suffering then ceased, and he died peacefully. Oh, how much we should pray for the dying! Let us take advantage of mercy while there is still time for mercy. (1035)
MEDJUGORJE DAY BY DAY

Mar 10 - CONQUER SOME FAULT EACH DAY
During Lent of 1985, Our Lady said to Jelena:
"I give you some advice: I would like you to try to conquer some fault each day, If your fault is to get angry at everything, try each day to get angry less. If your fault is not to be able to study, try to study. If your fault is not to be able to obey, or if you cannot stand those who do not please you, try on a given day to speak with them. If your fault is not to be able to stand an arrogant person, you should try to approach that person. If you desire that person to be humble, be humble yourself. Show that humility is worth or than pride.
Thus, each day, try to go beyond, and to reject every vice from your heart. Find out which are the vices that you most need to reject. During this Lent, you should try and truly desire to spend it in love. Strive as much as possible." (Locution Jelena & Mirajana February 20, 1985).
In his first letter, Peter also speaks of rejecting vices:
You have already spent enough time in doing what the Gentiles like to do, living in licentiousness, passions, drunkenness, revels, carousing, and lawless idolatry?The end of all things is near, therefore be serious and discipline yourselves for the sake of your prayers (1 Pt 4:3.7)
Reflection:
Philip Henry, a 15th Century English writer, once wrote that, "Sins are like circles in the water when a stone is thrown into it; one produces another. When anger was in Cain's heart, murder was not far off," Recognizing our sins and the vices that produce them is not a pleasant task, yet it is the doorway to peace and holiness. The sacrament of confession is especially helpful in this.
In our examination of conscience we can go one step further to identify the roots of our sins. For example, the sin of lying may be founded in pride; sexual misconduct rooted in selfishness. Once we identify these roots, we can then take action to modify and eventually eliminate them for our lives, as Our Lady asks today; "Each day try to go beyond, to reject every vice from your heart."
Application:
When you prepare for your next confession, actually write down your sins and, next to them, the vice from which they come. During the sacrament itself, present both to your priest so that the Lord can begin his healing work within you.

I spent a half-hour this morning in prayer with Jesus, Our Lord and Saviour, and He said, Melvin, My brother and companion, I love you. My love envelops all My brothers and sisters everywhere. I call you all to a profound renewal of your whole being. Many of you have resentments against one or more people. These resentments cause division among you and especially among the members of your family. Many couples are separated today and this brings great pain to My Heart. In many communities neighbours do not talk to each other because of resentment that has built up among them.
These resentments and jealousies are destroying your peace, which should exist among you. I call you to examine your conscience and find out if there is anything in your heart against someone. If there is hatred or resentment, then you live in darkness and far from Me. I cannot live in a heart filled with this darkness. You have to drive that out so that My light can enter and I can return to My place in your heart.
I call you all to repent and to forgive all those who hurt you in any way. See My example on the cross. I prayed from the cross for all those who caused My death in these words, ?Father, forgive them for they do not know what they do.? If you are My follower, you will receive the strength to forgive everyone and then you will live in peace. Hatred and resentment are destroying society, communities and families. It is time that you put an end to all this and live in imitation of Me. Ask and I will give you the strength to put all that behind you. I am your Friend who loves you and cares for you.?

Let us take to heart the warning from Ivan of Medjugorje who calls for prayers and fasting because the fighting in the Middle East could escalate into a world war. Let us storm heaven so that peace may return to that part of the world.

Mar 13 - SPECIAL MESSAGE FOR LENT
During Lent of 1989, Ivan reported the following message to his prayer group:
Our Lady wants this from us during Lent:
1) Review and live her messages.
2) Read the Bible more.
3) Pray more and offer all for the intentions of Our Lady.
4) Make more sacrifices.
Our Lady will be with us and will accompany us. She gave a special blessing (Visionary Prayer Group January 6, 1989).
In his letter to the Colossians, Paul also urges the people to seek "the things above":
So if you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth, for you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life is revealed, then you also will be revealed with him in glory. (Col 3:1-4)
Reflection:
Seeking "the things that are above" could be defined as striving to put heaven's priorities into daily practice, or to concentrate on the eternal rather than the temporal. It is to view life from the Lord's perspective and to seek what he desires. This is also the antidote to materialism, for we view material goods as God does.
The more we see life around us as God sees it, the more we live in harmony with him and experience his peace. This is also the reason for Mary's requests today; to pray, to live her messages to read the scriptures, and to make sacrifices, are all intended to focus us on "the things above" and bring us into harmony with God.
Application:
Let us simply apply to our lives the very specific advice the Gospa gives us in her message today.

Mar 12 - ONLY PEACE
On the third day of the apparitions, as Marija was descending Podbrdo, she was drawn to the side of the path where she again saw the Blessed Virgin. Weeping, and carrying a wooden cross, the Madonna said:
Peace, Peace, Peace! Be reconciled! Only Peace. Make your peace with God and among yourselves. For that, it is necessary to believe, to pray, to fast, and to go to confession (First Years June 6, 1981).
In Isaiah, there is also anguish in the absence of peace:
Listen! The valiant cry in the streets; The envoys of peace weep bitterly. The highways are deserted; travelers have quit the road. The treaty is broken, Its oaths are despised, its obligations is disregarded. The land mourns and languishes; Lebanon is confounded and withers away; Sharon is like a desert; And Bashan and Carmel shake off their leaves. Isaiah 33:7-9
Reflection:
Our Lady's words today comprise her first and most powerful message on peace. Weeping and carrying a cross symbolizing man's sin, enmity and strife, she pleads for reconciliation. And she immediately gives us the means: faith, prayer, fasting, and confession.
Given on the third day of the apparitions, the Virgin in effect summarizes her messages for all the years ahead. We can only surmise the gravity of the world's situation which has required her to stay with us so long.
In Colossians, Paul also tells us to let peace reign in our hearts. Our hearts are the center of conflict, for their feelings and desires clash—our fears and hopes, our distrust and trust, our jealousy and love. How can we deal with these constant conflicts and live as God wants? Both Paul and the Blessed Mother ask that we decide between conflicting elements by using the rule of peace: which choice will promote peace in our souls and among our neighbors?
Applications:
Referring back to the Virgin's message, are we promoting peace through the means she gives us? Today, how can you be a peacemaker within your family, your workplace, your parish?

MEDJUGORJE DAY BY DAY
Mar 11 - CONFESSION WILL BE THE REMEDY
Regarding questions on confession, the Blessed Virgin answered:
One must invite people to go to confession each month, especially the first Saturday. Here I have not spoken about it yet. I have invited some people to frequent confession. I will give you yet some concrete messages for our time. Be patient because the time has not yet come. Do what I have told you. They are numerous who do not observe it. Monthly confession will be a remedy for the church in the West. One must convey this message to the West (Special Message August 6, 1982).
Psalm 32 speaks of confession and its fruit:
Then I acknowledged my sin to you, And I did not hide my iniquity; I said, "I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,"
And you forgave the guilt of my sin.
Therefore let all who are faithful offer prayer to you; At a time of distress, the rush of might waters shall not reach them. Psalm 32L5-6)
Reflection:
A soldier asked a holy monk if God accepted repentance. He said, "Tell me, if your cloak is torn do you throw it away?" The soldier replied, "No, I mend it and use it again." The old man said to him, "If you are so careful about your cloak, will not God be equally careful about his people?"
To experience the joy of forgiveness is a great gift of God, but it requires that we let go of our guilt and truly believe that the Lord has actually forgiven us. This can be difficult when a sin has taken deep root and grown over many years, or if it is very serious or causes deep shame. Then we are in need of a special grace that will convince us of God's infinite mercy that remits all sin of whatever depth or kind. This grace puts us tin mind of the staggering price Jesus paid for our souls through his Passion and death, and almost impossible love that absorbs all sin, hurt, shame, and injury.
Therefore not to accept the Lord's forgiveness is to belittle or even ignore his Passion and cross, to say to him in effect: «I don't believe you. Your love isn't great enough to forgive this sin, to wash away my guilt. And so I refuse you." This is a self-inflicted exile that Satan always has a hand in.
Clearly it is much better to pray for the grace to realize God's forgiveness deep within ourselves, that we may be healed and set free.
Application:
As we see, the sacrament of confession is a great gift. If you haven't done so already, mark your calendar for your Lenten confession. Can you also schedule a regular day each month when you can receive the sacrament, as Our Lady asks today?
