BLACK SAINT OF THE DAY All my life and work occurred there. Known as the Priest Martyr, I was the son of a rich senator. He was pagan. I matriculated quickly in an excellent secular education. Then attended the school of Carthage. I became an orator and rhetoric and philosophy instructor. Often I appeared at court defending townsfolk. I taught rhetoric oratory before I converted to the Christian one holy Catholic and Apostolic faith. When converting, I assiduously studied Scripture, and my mentor, Tertullians writings. I spent my parents’ wealth, as well as the proceeds from banquets work. I continually questioned what truth was. Christianity gained my curiosity. I studied the writings of the African, Tertullian, the Presbyter (Elder), (born around 160 A.D.). Later, I wrote my habits made it appear impossible for me to reach the revival promised by Yeshua, Jesus, and my Savior. Cecilius the Presbyter (Elder), (my spiritual mentor), helped me from my confusion. When I reached 46 years of age, I became a Christian catechumen. Prior to my baptism, I gave my property to the poor. I moved to Cecilius’ house. Thus graced by God, I wrote my friend Donatus, "When the surge of regeneration cleansed my former life impurity, a light steady and bright, shone from Heaven in my heart. " I was born again, invigorated by the Holy Spirit. My doubt was removed. God revealed to me mysteries. He made darkness, light. I learned that my former living in the flesh for sin belonged to the earthly. Now I began divine living by the Holy Spirit. "In God and from God is all our strength. From Him is our might. Through Him we who live on earth receive the hint of a condition of future bliss.” The year following my baptism, I was ordained a priest. When Bishop Donatus of Carthage died, the faithful unanimously chose me as bishop in about the year 248 A.D.. I said, "Unconditionally, yes,” complying with my mentor's request. I was ordained bishop of Carthage. Around the year in 248 A.D. church authorities elevated to the rank of bishop of Carthage. It was the time of the reign of terror in the persecutions of Roman Emperor Decius. The Church’s welfare proved my first concern, along with the concomitant ridding of vices in the clergy and flock. Hopefully, my life caused the observing faithful a desire to imitate my God-given piety, humility, and wisdom with which God graced me. I became known beyond my diocese. Bishops from other areas sought my counsel. But persecution by the emperor Decius 249 A.D. to 251 A.D. revealed to me in a dream, forced me to hide. My life was necessary to my flock. I conducted my life to the strengthening faith and courage among my persecuted. Prior to my leaving, I distributed the church treasury among all the clergy to help to the poor. I later sent additional funds. Through my letters (called epistles) to Presbyter (Elder)s, confessors and martyrs, I kept constant touch with Carthaginian Christians. Some in my flock offered the Roman required sacricies to the false Roman gods. Some congregants said they did, when they did not. I was called to mediate he controversy of allowing such apostates back into the Mystical Body of Christ. Church hierarchy required they do penance before readmittance to the Church. Because I refused to sacrifice to the false gods. Weakened by torture, some faithful souls offered sacrifice to pagan gods. Later, these lapsed Christians appealed to confessors for a letter of reconciliation. This intercession certificate accepted the lapsed back to the Church. I wrote all Carthaginian Christians a general communication regarding this important matter. I said that those lapsed during a time of persecution might be re- admitted to the Church only after penance and with the local bishop’s permission. But I cautioned that Bishops must investigate the situation under which the lapse happened. Examination of the lapsed proved necessary to learn their sincere contrition. For some of the fallen wanted immediate Church re-admittance. This stirred community turmoil. I asked counsel and opinions of other diocese bishops. All approved my rules. During my absence, I delegated authority to four priest examiners of persons preparing for ordination to the priesthood and the diaconate. But there was mischief. Two influential persons resisted Felicissimus, and the Presbyter (Elder), Novatus. I excommunicated Felicissimus with his six accomplices. My letter to the African Church Carthage, cautioned all not to split themselves from Church unity. I told them to wait my return. I counseled them to obey the lawful commands of the administering bishop in my absence. Most Carthaginian Christians remained faithful. A Local Council ended Felicissimus defiance when I returned in 251 A.D. That enclave judged the reception of the lapsed back into the Church after a church penance. It further upheld the Felicissimus’ excommunication. A new schism (break in the Church unity) arose through the auspices of the Roman Presbyter (Elder), Novatian. Novatus, a former Felicissimus associate, and Carthaginian Presbyter (Elder), joined the movement. Novatian taught that if Christians repented of their sin, the lapsed Christians during time of persecution could not be re-admitted. Both Novatian and Novatus convinced three Italian bishops during the tenure of the lawful Roman bishop Celerinus to place another bishop on the Roman cathedra. At first, I wrote a series of circular letters to the African bishops condemning these wrongs. Later, I composed an entire tome, "On the Unity of the Church.” Just as the attenuation of discord in the Carthage church began, a plague erupted. Hundreds died in Carthage. Folks abandoned the sick with no help. The dead were left unburied. God graced me by my example, and fortitude, to personally tend the sick and bury not only Christian, but also pagan dead as well. Drought and famine followed, and those calamities by the barbarian Numidians. These enslaved many of the residents. We petitioned wealthy Carthaginians to develop support methods to feed the starving and ransom captives. On top of that, Emperor Valerian (253 A.D. to 259 A.D.) ordered Christian persecutions anew again. Paternus, the Carthaginian proconsul, ordered the faithful to sacrifice to idols. I refused. I also remained silent as to the names and residences of the Presbyter (Elder)s of the Carthage Church. I was sent to Corubisum. Deacon Pontus voluntarily followed me into exile. After arriving, I dreamed/envisioned a quick martyr's end. I wrote letters and books. But my martyrdom at Carthage caused me to return. However, the court set me free until the next year. During that time, Carthaginian Christians bade me farewell and asked to receive my blessing. In a later trial, I again refused to idol sacrifice to idols. The court sentenced me to beheading. "Thanks be to God!” I said. All the Christians present said in unified voice, “We want to die with him!" At the execution, I blessed all present. I gave 25 gold coins to the executioner. I covered my eyes. I myself had my hands bound the Presbyter (Elder), and archdeacon standing nearby, then lowered my head. Christians crying placed their shawls and veils by me to gather my blood. I was martyred 258 A.D. martyred in 258 A.D.. At night, the faithful took by body and buried me in the private crypt of the procurator, Macrovius Candidianus. Some 500 years later, my holy relics were transferred to France, during the reign of Charlemagne, King Charles the Great. Dear Friends,
Here is a short reading from John 6: 47 51: Jesus said, Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever believes has eternal life. Your ancestors ate the manna in the desert, but they died; this is the bread that comes down from heaven so that one may eat it and not die. I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world.
We had another fine day yesterday with bright sun the whole day and a nice little wind in the evening and the temperature was around 25 degrees Celsius. The forecast shows that we will have a beautiful week with no rain and the temperature between 22 and 25 degrees.
I will celebrate Holy Mass this afternoon at the Manor in Alberton. It is always a joy to go there and to visit our seniors and they love to come to the chapel for Holy Mass. Also more visitors will come to visit Our Lady of Prince Edward Island's little shrine.
I got good news from my trip in the USA. Two people received a healing in Maine and another received a healing at the Healing Mass at the little shrine on Friday. Our Lord shows His great love by healing the sick.
I have finished with the book of Dr. Bob Rice. Now I will refer to a holy lady who wrote a book called Conversations with the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus'. Here is a quotation from this book:
Today I wish to direct attention, once again, to the hectic pace of the modern world. Children, come and sit with Me in the Sacrament of the Eucharist. I am in every tabernacle throughout the world. Think of one now, and picture Me there... I am truly there. 'What does He do?' you might ask. I tell you, My child, I am not bored. I think about you. I worry if you are far away. I suffer if you have chosen worldly paths and you are endangering your soul. I am sad each day if there is no hope of a visit from you. I ask My Father to have mercy on you. I direct My angels to watch over you in the hope that someday you will return to Me. My child, how often during your day do you think of me? You are thinking of Me now, as you read these words. So while your mind is resting upon Me, let me tell you that I love you. I want only your happiness. I can help you in everything. I can solve your problems and heal your wounds. My child, come and sit before the Eucharist in any tabernacle. My graces and blessings will flow out to you. I want you to sit and soak in the silence. You may close your eyes there and I will fill your precious head with a stream of heavenly thoughts. I have so much to share with you. I have seen every injury you have experienced. I longed to comfort you. Let me comfort you now.
Let us take these words of Jesus to heart and spend time with Jesus in the Blessed Eucharist at least once a week. He will surely bless us with His love and peace.

Dear Friends,
I have waited, waited for the Lord, and he stooped toward me and heard my cry.
He drew me out of the pit of destruction, out of the mud of the swamp;
He set my feet upon a crag; he made firm my steps.
And he put a new song into my mouth, a hymn to our God. Psalm 40:2-4
The sun is shining bright this morning once more. The temperature is great and there is a light wind. I thank the Lord for the beautiful weather we are having.
I celebrated three Masses yesterday, one at 9:30 a.m., the second at 1:00 p.m. and the third at our church here at 7:00 p.m. Besides the Masses, I had a good number of visitors who came to visit the Little Shrine of Our Lady of Prince Edward Island and to pray. I showed many people the new book by Dom Forker entitled Roses in December. I highly recommend this book, as it is very well written and full of information. Both chapter 30 and 31 refer to Our Lady of Prince Edward Island. I expect many people to come and visit today and to spend time in prayer.
The Power to Heal
I come back again this morning to the little book of Dr. Bob Rice. He writes, It is our sincere prayer that by reading this book, you have received a renewed belief in the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist. If you have a need in your life, remember this: And He said, what is impossible for human beings is possible for God. (Luke 1:27) Because Jesus is present in the Holy Eucharist, His power to heal is also present in the Holy Eucharist.
Here are five things that Dr. Bob recommends:
1. Pray the Forgiveness Prayer with great faith.
2. Go to confession regularly.
3. Go to Mass regularly and be very attentive as the priest consecrates the bread and wine into the Body and Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
4. Pray with expectant faith to the Lord for the healing you need when you receive the Holy Eucharist at Mass.
5. And Jesus will heal you.
It is a fact that Jesus is the greatest healer this world has ever known. He healed all the people who came to Him while He was on earth and today He continues to heal people all over the world. I have seen over a hundred people healed from all kinds of sicknesses. All these healings show that the Lord loves us and He wants us close to Him.

how you win your closeness to me in very simple yet touching terms and I will
put the words into your mind.
You have enough time to prepare and write. Share the prayers taught thru
Barbara Centilli exactly two days before the start of the Octave prayers so that
the notice will come just in time and people will not forget.
There will be no need to tell people to procure the rosary beads for the
prayers. They can use any method they prefer to keep track of their prayers.

Son, believe my words. I AM pouring out my spirit on my Feast Day revealed
thru my messenger. Many faithful ones will begin hearing me in their heart.
Tell what I want them to be aware of ..my feast day is getting nearer.
Tell them my words given to Barbara as my words remain the same today as before.
My faithful will need my close guidance in the very near term, hence my desire
to come to more of my faithful children and let them hear my voice.
Share me with others as others have shared me with you.

Lec's Remarks The message thru the Visionary Barbara Centilli which came to me
way back the year 1999 paved the way for me to have a close personal
relationship with the Father. His words in that Barbara message contained that
promise.

Lec's testimony The Father's promise that he will come was fulfilled for me.
Since that time he said He will come, I started hearing Him in the still, small
inner voice felt from the heart and not from the brain. I can hear His voice
and can talk to Him and he responds in very simple terms since 1999 but only
April last year (2007) did I receive full communication which I began posting
on the internet.

beginning of major changes in the world which will CULMINATE with the end of

Jesus Seeks Acknowledgement From His People
At the 8:00 A.M. Mass at Our Lady Of Sorrows, I made humble offerings to
Jesus and Mary and prayed for the special needs and intentions of all. Before
receiving the most sacred Body and Blood of Jesus, I made an Act Of Contrition.
On my knees in meditation with Jesus I prayed; Speak Lord (if it be Your
will), Your servant listens.
I soon began to seen a huge tunnel of dark smoke across the sky very, very
wide, and it was coming from the earth. The surrounding area looked to be a pale
blue and reminiscent of something that was cold!
Then Jesus spoke saying There will come a huge volcano with climatic
changes. Many other earthly disturbances will also occur almost simultaneously
and whatever it takes for My people to know that I AM!
It is better that My people suffer in this world and acknowledge Me than to
one day reach My Father's throne and have Him say Who Are You? Go in peace to
love and serve the Lord. Continue praying for your brothers and sisters.
Medjugorje Day By Day July 08 - Abandon yourselves to God
Mother Teresa of Calcutta, who said "let us be all for Jesus through
Mary," was one of the greatest instruments of peace in our time. She wrote, "What will convert America and save the world? My answer is prayer. July 8 - Abandon yourselves to God
From Our Lady's Weekly message of August 9, 1984:
Dear Children, Satan continues to hinder my plans. Pray, Pray, Pray! Abandon yourselves to God in prayer. Pray with the heart. (WM 8-9-84)
Christ asks us to present our needs to the Father in prayer:
If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask for whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit and become my disciples. (Jn 15:7-8)
Reflection:
One of the fruits of prayer is trust in God; he becomes our refuge and safe harbor. "All things work together," writes the English poet R.H. Benson, "if one will but trust God." Trusting, confident prayer is the fruit of a fervent faith that believes the Lord hears every request.
From the Shepherd of Hermas:
Cast off indecision and doubt not in the least, when asking anything from God....Those who are divided in purpose are they who waver before the Lord and altogether fail to obtain any of their requests. But those who are wholly perfect in the faith ask everything with reliance on the Lord and they receive.

July 7 - Be The Carriers of My Peace
Our Lady gave the following message to Vicka for the prayer group:
Dear Children, I give you my motherly blessing and ask you to be the carriers of my peace, and to pray for peace in the world. (VPG 11-14-88)
In Colossians, Paul also speaks of peace:
And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in the one body. (Col 3:15)
Reflection:
One of the great passages on peace was engraved on a monument dated 1629 in a Baltimore church. It has come down to us known as the Desiderata. The following excerpt is an appropriate reflection today with our readings on peace:
Go placidly amid the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and ignorant; they too have their story...
You are a child of the Universe, no less than the trees and the stars. You have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.
Therefore, be at peace with God, however you conceive him to be, and whatever your labors and aspirations in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace with your soul. With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy.

-and now I see The Holy Spirit as a ‘DOVE’ on the-wall … and It’s coming from –the-wall- and is going around the room, and It’s going “through” everyone’s heart … including everyone on the radio internet.
