Message/Vision to Eileen Renders Jan.20,2008  Good morning Joyce Today Jesus reminds us that while we are created to His image and likeness,so to will our lives progress in a similar fashion while certainly not as extrema sacrifice is required of us.  God bless, Eileen  Sunday, January 20, 2008 Jesus Made Us In His Image And Likeness  Today we attended the 8:00 A.M. Mass at Our Lady Of Sorrows where I madehumble offerings to Jesus and Mary. In prayer I remembered the special needs andintentions of all those in need. After saying an Act of Contrition prior toreceiving Holy Communion, I knelt in silent commune with Jesus while He coveredme with His most precious body and blood! Feeling His presence so strongly often humbles me so that tears begin tofall, and that is one of the reasons why I kneel with both hands cupped over myface. While I heard no words from Jesus after asking Him to cover me with Hisprecious blood and praying, Speak Lord (if it be Your will), Your servantlistens, I saw the following vision: Jesus was dressed all in white and had a fullness to face and a Light thatemanated from His entire body, He appeared to be about 12 to 14 years of age.Next, I saw Him on the Cross with His head covered with the Crown of Thorns andit appeared as though He had already expired.  Note: As I pondered Jesus' message within the vision He showed, I prayed fordiscernment. It then occurred to me how very truly we are all made in His ownimage and likeness. We have our own youth and yet each of us must face our owncross and suffering before we die to the world as did Our Savior! Yet in notsuch an extreme sacrifice as our Creator made for us.  Mother of Perpetual Light 01-19-08  Mother of Perpetual Light The Words of these messages are being received in poetic verse allegedlyfrom the Blessed Mother under the title "The Mother of Perpetual Light". We can realize that only if we lose our unnecessary attachments. There is no peace or joy or gift in life when we are carrying unneeded baggage. Where is the baggage in your life? In the afterlife, we'll need nothing. We will tote nothing with us. You knowthat expression: there is no u-haul behind a hearse. Here on earth, we have tohave certain material necessities, and that's fine. There are certain things weneed. But there are also many things we don't need that bog us down in ways we don'tunderstand. Thus, we should pray to the Holy Spirit (in a series of novenas, aswell as through spontaneous prayer from the heart) to reveal those things in ourlives -- and perhaps also people -- from which and whom we need to detach, towhom we do not want to carry an obsession. Pray and meditate! Let the Spiritshow you. It could be a piece of jewelry. It could be the number in a bank account. Itcould be your job. Most of the time, harmful attachments have a root in pride.This needs to be purged. It is unhealthy to be overly attached to anything -- or anyone -- on this earth.Jesus made that clear any number of times. Scripture tells us not to be overlybound to any creature in the world, and the Lord told the rich man to selleverything and follow Him. We can become possessed by our possessions. In the afterlife (with the exception of those condemned), we will once more seeeveryone we have ever known, and especially those we have loved. It will bedifferent, yes, say those who claim an afterlife "glimpse." But we are allrejoined as spirits in bodies that are glorified. Knowing that, there's noreason to overly cling to each other. There is no reason for morbidity. There isno reason for depression. Morbidity is what happens when we are overly attached to things or people ofthis earth (instead of attached to God), and when overly attached, we can evenprevent loved ones from advancing. Many are those who speak of dying folks who wanted to pass on but who were boundby the attachments of those who could not release them. In prayer, you will be amazed at what the Holy Spirit will show you. He mayindicate that you are too attached to your looks (once again, pride). He mayindicate that you are too attached to clothes. He may indicate that you are tooattached to memories. He certainly may show you the ways that you are tooattached to the image of yourself and to your societal "standing." Only through humility, fasting, and prayer do we distance ourselves from that towhich we are not supposed to be bound. Think of the things that weigh you down.Meditate on what causes constant worry, or what can set you off -- what cancause you to have a bad day. Freedom is the healing of Jesus. Is it a weed that suddenly shows up in your lawn? Are you overly attached toyour landscaping? Is it a stray hair, your hairdo? Is it your car? Often, what we are over-attached to is routine. We have habits we can't release,and this is the key word: release. We have to release attachments to feel the full serenity of Heaven and it istrue to the very end: The easiest transition to eternity is total release toGod, which means a kite free from its strings. [resources: The God of Miracles]  www.spiritdaily.com

Beyer, Ave Maria Press. - Jan 19 - Believe and Pray Our Lady once spoke to Mirjana of faith and healing: "Have them believe and pray; I cannot help him who does not pray and does not sacrifice...The more you believe firmly, the more you pray and fast for the same intention the greater is the grace and the mercy of God." (This message was given in the First Years on August 18, 1982.) Jesus also viewed faith as a prerequisite to healing: When he entered Capernaum, a centurion came to him, appealing to him and saying, "Lord my servant is lying at home paralyzed in terrible distress." And [Jesus] said to him, "I will come and cure him." The centurion answered, "Lord, I am not worthy to have you come under my roof; but only speak the word, and my servant will be healed." When Jesus heard him, he was amazed and said to those who followed him, "Truly I tell you, in no one in Israel have I found such faith." And to the centurion Jesus said, "Go; let it be done for you according to your faith." And the servant was healed in that hour.(Mt 8:5-8,10,13) Reflection: Both Our Lady of Medjugorje and St.Matthew draw a strong parallel between faith and healing. Mary asks the sick "to believe and pray; I cannot help him who does not pray and does not sacrifice." And Matthew reports that, "Jesus said to the officer, "Go home, and what you believe will be done for you." An expectant faith, a deep trust in the power of God, can work miracles in our lives, spiritually as well as physically. In the words of the American religious writer Harry Emerson Fosdick, "It is illness and fear that freeze life; it is faith that draws, thaws it out, releases it, sets it free." Application: Today, pray simply for a deeper and more vibrant faith. Beyer, Ave Maria Press.  Jan 18  - PUT INTO PRACTICE THE MESSAGES In her monthly message of August, 1990, Our Lady said: Dear children, today I desire to invite you to take with seriousness and put into practice the messages which I am giving you. You know, little children, that I am with you, that I desire to lead you along the same path to heaven which is beautiful for those who discover it in prayer. Therefore, little children, do not forget that these messages which I am giving you have to be put into your everyday life in order that you might be able to say: "There, I have taken the messages and tried to live them". Dear children, I am protecting you before the heavenly Father by my own prayers (Monthly Message August 25, 1990). In the following passage from scripture, Jesus also calls us to "live the messages" of the gospel: As for what was sown among thorns, this is the one who hears the word, but the cares of the world and the lure of wealth choke the word, and it yields nothing. But as for what was sown on good soil, this is it, who indeed bears fruit and yields, in one case a hundred fold, in another sixty, and in another thirty (Mt.13:22-23). Reflection: Both Christ and Our Lady urge us today to live the message of the gospel(of which the Medjugorje messages are a reflection). They remind us that it is one thing to hear the message, another to act on it. This was the topic of a sermon given in Medjugorje by Fr. Slavko Barbaric in December of 1985: We would be misguided to say, "I will convert tomorrow", or "I will be reconciled tomorrow". Confession is asked of me today, not tomorrow. And so the messages have this meaning: to be committed and awake to God in faith, in our work, in prayer, in belief, in abandoning ourselves to him so that we are open and ready each day to meet him if he should call us to himself. To live the messages also means to live in the Lord's peace, to have safe harbor in turbulent times, and a firm hope in the future, all in the here and now. Application: Are there parts of the gospel message that you have failed to live? Identify one area that you can work on this week.

Message to Fr. Melvin Doucette January 19, 2008 I am interceding for you Reading: Luke 1:46-55 Dear friends, The Mighty One has done great things for me, and holy is his name. His mercy is from age to age to those who fear him. Luke 1:49-50 

During my time of prayer this morning I was with our Blessed Mother who said, Melvin, My son, I love you and I embrace all My sons and daughters in the world.

 

You are all precious to Me and to Jesus, My Son. It is My great joy to know that you are devoted to Him by praying every day and by going to church regularly and receiving Him in Holy Communion.

 

If you truly love Him, you will love Me too. More and more people now are praying their rosary every day and this gives Me great joy. 

There are many of My sons and daughters who give Me great sadness. They live a very immoral life by practicing contraception, procuring abortion or advising a woman to have an abortion.

 

I am the Lady of Prince Edward Island because I wish to make known this island province of Canada, as it has never legalized abortion. It is holy ground blessed by My Son Jesus.

 

I wish that the whole world would imitate the island and stop the killing of the unborn. It is a great sadness for Me that over 50 million children are aborted every year.

 

This has to stop and who will do it? Only those who believe in Jesus, My Son and their Saviour, and belong to His Church will bring this about. I call all My sons and daughters to unite together and bring an end to the slaughter of the innocents.  

I call you all to pray, My children, that the people of the world will come to their senses and live according to the Father's commandments.

 

You are asked to respect life in all its stages from the moment of conception to natural death.

 

I call you to pray the rosary daily that all may have a change of heart and put Jesus first in their lives. They are to follow Him and not what society dictates, which is often at odds with the truth.

 

 I am interceding for you, My sons and daughters, so that you will cooperate with the graces that God is giving you. I love you and bless you. Father Melvin Fr. I want you to learn to love yourselves first. When a child discovers that he comes from me, the Creator, he begins to discover that I am the only one who can help him, for he knows that all is within him, that all that is external to him is not life â?? life is in him.  I am the Life: with my Life, I nourish you. I want to make you discover the true worth of your lives. When a child loves himself, he begins to appreciate what I give him; he begins to open his eyes to the beauty of nature; he begins to regard his deeds with the love he has in him: he discovers that he is important. If he is from me, if he is from the Life, then his life is eternal; then this child will take care of what I, the Creator, have given him; in this way, he will also be able to take care of those he loves. A child who has not learned to know who he is cannot love his neighbour because he has not yet learned that he, he is: love. I come to speak to every one among you; I come to declare to you that you are my children; I come to tell you that I took care of you despite your stubbornness in not acknowledging that you are my children, for I am a free God, I respect your freedom. I do not want for you to be slaves, I want you, of your own accord, to come within you: where I am. I am living, I am there, within you. I am not a remote God, an indifferent God, I am not coming to punish you: I am The Love, I am Mercy. I gave you my Son so you could all be in me, your Father. You are aware of the importance of the family. You know that in every family there is a head of the family, and that is the eldest. I, your Father, I am the only Creator of earth and of Heaven, I am your Elder. I am, and have been, and shall always be, for I am the Power, I am the perfect Being. You come from me. I gave life to each of you; you must love the life within you. You must, my children, learn to discover what you are in relation to others; each one of you must give of himself. The elder must protect, must advise; the elder must take care of himself and be an example, for the younger ones watch, they see in him what they want to become. It is for this reason, my children, that I say you must be good to yourselves. I, God the Creator, I gave you my Son Jesus; he came on earth to save you from eternal death; he came on earth representing the Father: he was me, because I am in him and he is in me, and he and I, we are in the Holy Spirit: I am God. You, my children, be worthy of being called children of God. My Son took all your deeds, he purified them with his Blood. His Blood poured over you and every time you do a bad deed and you regret your deed, your deed is purified, for my Son has already brought that deed unto death. The moment you accept to be purified, your deed becomes pure; you become pure for you are part of this movement. When you carry out a deed, this begins within you, it is the life inside you that stirs and brings about your action. This is why, my children, I say to you that my Son purified you by carrying who you are within himself.  You are part of his Body: my Son's Body was pierced so you could enter into him.  I want to speak to you about love, about my love for you. A time of love is coming during which no impure deed will exist[1] heart, I want to make you understand that the time when sin will no longer exist on earth A great movement of purification has begun: at this very moment, every child on earth is receiving movements of love from children who pray. I am preparing their interior to see me: whoever sees my Son, sees the Father! Every child on earth, at this very moment, is in my movement of love. I am awakening hardened hearts; the Holy Spirit covers them so that they can see themselves as they are. You, the children who have agreed to pray, you are in my movement of love, and this enables you to accept your purification. At this very moment, you are in this movement; through my graces you allow me to speak to you; you allow me to tell you that you have behaved badly. When a father loves his children and when a father sees his child behaving badly, he has love and he wants to reprimand him because he has love. This is why I can speak to you like this today. To accept your purification is to prepare yourselves for what is to come. I sent this instrument of love so you could be in the very presence of my voice. I speak through her to tell you that you must prepare yourselves for soon you will see my glorified Son within yourselves. Not one of my children on earth will not be in my Son's presence. This moment is known to me. Because when you pray for many people, I multiply graces for you, and you benefit from these graces in order to face your purification, which is happening at this very moment. I am the Light, the Light came to enlighten you regarding your life. I am the Way, I show you the path to follow.  I am the Life, and the Life is calling out within you for you to say yes to your life of love. It is a life of love that will reign over the earth. All that has made you suffer will no longer exist. The earth shall be purified; you as well shall be purified. Just like my first children, Adam and Eve, before the fall, who lived in a land of love where all was nothing but beauty and abundance - this is what I am talking to you about: I am talking to you about my New Earth - I am asking you, my children, to behave as God's children. I know your sins, I know your weaknesses; I will sustain you, I am your strength. If, today, you are here, it is because I have always been within you; I am the one who prevented you from destroying yourselves. Sin is against you. If you have known sufferings, illnesses, if you were kept apart from the world: it was because of the sins of the world, it was also because of your sins that you suffer, that you feel pain in your bodies. You thirst for love, you thirst for the knowledge of happiness on earth. Because I nourished your life, you are children of love; you could not be otherwise. Since you have the desire to feed yourselves, to clothe yourselves against the cold: it is because you love yourselves. You have not yet learned that you were love for yourselves and you have already neglected yourselves. I, I am here to remind you that you are children, you are my children, you are my little ones. When you take one of your little children in your arms, you hold him tightly against your heart; do you believe that I, I would not do the same within you? How many times have I comforted you! How many times have I encouraged you! How many times have I told you to take care of your health! How many times have I told you to go outside to get some fresh air! How many times have I told you: look at the beauty of the sky, look at the beauty of my creation! All you have done that was good came from me: this did not come from you. Only your yes belongs to you; your no also belongs to you. You see, my children, I am the Life and if I wanted to, in a single instant, I would take your life from you, for I have all power over life and over death. You came into this world to journey towards me, your Father.  You are here to prove to me that you want me. I am jealous of you, my children! Do you know why? When you choose yourselves over me, I suffer inside you for you say yes to your bad habits and you say no to what I, I want for you. When you learn to give yourselves evil either through games, or alcohol, or drugs, it is because you prefer your human life and you neglect the true life within you: the life that is eternal. Everything that is within you will last forever; everything that is external will last only for the duration of a life on earth. When you look at a bird in the sky, your eyes are fixed on it and it rises high in the sky: it only takes a few seconds for your eyes to lose sight of it. 

Your life on earth is the same! My Life, your eternal life, has no end!

 

Think of all that is beautiful, all that is good, think of all good smells, think of the breeze that comes to you, think of the rain that falls after a drought, think of the beauty of flowers, think of the flavour you taste when you bite into a fruit, think of warmth when it is cold outside: all this is good for you! My children, I have more than this to offer you during your eternal life. 

If, at this very moment, I were to make you feel what you will feel during your eternal life, you would die of joy! This is why I am begging you to accept your purification from this moment on, by saying to me:

 

Yes, Father, I want to give you my life. You gave me your Son so that I could go to him. I accept. I do not know how this must be done, but you, you know how.

 

Since you nourished me, since Jesus has allowed me to be warm in winter and sheltered in summer, since you allowed all this, it is because you know better than I what I must do. I give you my life. My children of love, God has spoken to you in your hearts: these words are inside you. If this were coming from this instrument, this child, this could not have entered you for all that is human is but external and all that comes from me, your Creator, is within you, for I am within you and these words have been within you. I know each one among you, and it is to each of you that I have said these words because you have agreed to come hear your God. 

The moment you shall be before me, I who am in my Son, a great joy shall rise up within you: it will envelop you, you will become like the light, and this light will merge with the Light: my Son is the Light!

 

This has been, for you, a moment of love in your present, today, and this has been inscribed in your eternal life; and in your eternal life, this will be one more source of joy in addition to what I want to give to you. A special joy shall be within you and when you will meet children who have experienced this same joy: a ray will emerge from your chest to enter the chest of your brother or your sister, and a ray will emerge from the chest of your brother or your sister and will penetrate your chest, for you will be children of love for eternity. You shall be with me in my Kingdom. I am the Alpha and the Omega: I am Eternal Love. God's love cannot be measured, love is and shall be. Because you utter your yes, you are love. You shall be in love eternally for God the Father comes to place very special graces within you which will ensure that your life is a yes to The Love. I am the Presence, you are in my Presence. I love you, my children. The Father wants the person, the eldest, to bless the children in his Name. The eldest person present blesses the people in his native tongue. 

The Girl of My Will in Jesus in the Holy Spirit: Yesterday, when we came to the Mission of the Shroud (in Winnipeg), it was raining hard; we were asking ourselves if we were going to come here the following day given the bad road conditions.

So, in the morning when we left for Mass, it was cloudy and we hadn't talked to Roger yet.

Friday, September 13, 1935. In the evening, when I was in my cell, I saw an Angel, the executor of divine wrath. He was clothed in a dazzling robe, his face gloriously bright, a cloud beneath his feet.

 

From the cloud, bolts of thunder and flashes of lightning were springing into his hands; and from his hand they were going forth, and only then were they striking the earth.

 

When I saw this sign of divine wrath which was about to strike the earth, and in particular a certain place, which for good reasons I cannot name, I began to implore the Angel to hold off for a few moments, and the world would do penance. But my plea was a mere nothing in the face of the divine anger. Just then I saw the Most Holy Trinity.

Both Our Lady of Medjugorje and St.Matthew draw a strong parallel between faith and healing.

 

Mary asks the sick "to believe and pray; I cannot help him who does not pray and does not sacrifice." And Matthew reports that, "Jesus said to the officer, "Go home, and what you believe will be done for you." 

An expectant faith, a deep trust in the power of God, can work miracles in our lives, spiritually as well as physically.

Dear little children, Praised be Jesus!

I come urgently this night, this first Wednesday, to ask you for many prayers. Pray, pray, pray. This New Year is a year of grace but it is also a year of many conflicts, wars and apostasy. Pray and make sacrifices for the world.

I desire, children of mine, that you consecrate the world, by means of my Immaculate Heart, to the Sacred Heart of my Son Jesus because peace in the world is in grave danger.

 

For this whole year, every first, third and last Friday of each month, you must consecrate the world, all men, all leaders, youth and children to the Sacred Heart of Jesus to the King, to the Redeemer.

You must do it with the heart. If you do it, as I ask you, Jesus, my beloved Son, will receive your consecration and you will see how much difference your prayers, said with the heart, will make in the world. I desire that you hear and listen to me.

Beginning with the third Friday of this month (January) you are to kneel before the Lord whether in church before the Blessed Sacrament, in your home, or in the place where you find yourself. I will be present with you at that moment.

I love you and because I love you I desire to help you. Jesus desires to help you and to offer your prayers to the Father.

Thank you for having accepted my invitation of this night. I bless you and keep you inside my Immaculate Heart. And I cover my beloved priests and my deacon under my motherly mantle.

Son, please inform people of what I am to tell through you today.

My Son's real presence in the Eucharist, body, blood, soul and Divinity is the
GREATEST MIRACLE that takes place in My Son's Churches all over the world.

 

Receive Him in complete reverence and respect for His coming in the Eucharist is
a PRIVILEGE not availed of by all people of the world. Receiving my Son - body
and blood in the Consecrated Host fulfills His words in Scripture said at the
Last Meal before His Crucifixion.

To my messenger, kindly do the favors of sharing the words of Jesus shared at
the Last Supper as well as other Scriptures to support my given statements
today. You have them available son.

In compliance with the request of Mother Mary, here are the scripture references

While they were eating, Jesus took a piece of bread, gave a prayer of thanks,
broke it, and gave it to his disciples. "Take it," he said, "this is my body."

Message to Fr. Melvin Doucette January 19, 2008 I am interceding for you Reading: Luke 1:46-55 Dear friends, The Mighty One has done great things for me, and holy is his name. His mercy is from age to age to those who fear him. Luke 1:49-50 

During my time of prayer this morning I was with our Blessed Mother who said, Melvin, My son, I love you and I embrace all My sons and daughters in the world.

 

You are all precious to Me and to Jesus, My Son. It is My great joy to know that you are devoted to Him by praying every day and by going to church regularly and receiving Him in Holy Communion.

 

If you truly love Him, you will love Me too. More and more people now are praying their rosary every day and this gives Me great joy. 

There are many of My sons and daughters who give Me great sadness. They live a very immoral life by practicing contraception, procuring abortion or advising a woman to have an abortion.

 

I am the Lady of Prince Edward Island because I wish to make known this island province of Canada, as it has never legalized abortion. It is holy ground blessed by My Son Jesus.

 

I wish that the whole world would imitate the island and stop the killing of the unborn. It is a great sadness for Me that over 50 million children are aborted every year.

 

This has to stop and who will do it? Only those who believe in Jesus, My Son and their Saviour, and belong to His Church will bring this about. I call all My sons and daughters to unite together and bring an end to the slaughter of the innocents.  

I call you all to pray, My children, that the people of the world will come to their senses and live according to the Father's commandments.

 

You are asked to respect life in all its stages from the moment of conception to natural death.

 

I call you to pray the rosary daily that all may have a change of heart and put Jesus first in their lives. They are to follow Him and not what society dictates, which is often at odds with the truth.

Because when you pray for many people, I multiply graces for you, and you benefit from these graces in order to face your purification, which is happening at this very moment. I am the Light, the Light came to enlighten you regarding your life. I am the Way, I show you the path to follow.  I am the Life, and the Life is calling out within you for you to say yes to your life of love. It is a life of love that will reign over the earth. All that has made you suffer will no longer exist. The earth shall be purified; you as well shall be purified. Just like my first children, Adam and Eve, before the fall, who lived in a land of love where all was nothing but beauty and abundance - this is what I am talking to you about: I am talking to you about my New Earth - I am asking you, my children, to behave as God's children. I know your sins, I know your weaknesses; I will sustain you, I am your strength. If, today, you are here, it is because I have always been within you; I am the one who prevented you from destroying yourselves. Sin is against you. If you have known sufferings, illnesses, if you were kept apart from the world: it was because of the sins of the world, it was also because of your sins that you suffer, that you feel pain in your bodies. You thirst for love, you thirst for the knowledge of happiness on earth. Because I nourished your life, you are children of love; you could not be otherwise. Since you have the desire to feed yourselves, to clothe yourselves against the cold: it is because you love yourselves. You have not yet learned that you were love for yourselves and you have already neglected yourselves. I, I am here to remind you that you are children, you are my children, you are my little ones. When you take one of your little children in your arms, you hold him tightly against your heart; do you believe that I, I would not do the same within you? How many times have I comforted you! How many times have I encouraged you! How many times have I told you to take care of your health! How many times have I told you to go outside to get some fresh air! How many times have I told you: look at the beauty of the sky, look at the beauty of my creation! All you have done that was good came from me: this did not come from you. Only your yes belongs to you; your no also belongs to you. You see, my children, I am the Life and if I wanted to, in a single instant, I would take your life from you, for I have all power over life and over death. You came into this world to journey towards me, your Father.  You are here to prove to me that you want me. I am jealous of you, my children! Do you know why? When you choose yourselves over me, I suffer inside you for you say yes to your bad habits and you say no to what I, I want for you. When you learn to give yourselves evil either through games, or alcohol, or drugs, it is because you prefer your human life and you neglect the true life within you: the life that is eternal. Everything that is within you will last forever; everything that is external will last only for the duration of a life on earth. When you look at a bird in the sky, your eyes are fixed on it and it rises high in the sky: it only takes a few seconds for your eyes to lose sight of it. 

Your life on earth is the same! My Life, your eternal life, has no end!

 

Think of all that is beautiful, all that is good, think of all good smells, think of the breeze that comes to you, think of the rain that falls after a drought, think of the beauty of flowers, think of the flavour you taste when you bite into a fruit, think of warmth when it is cold outside: all this is good for you! My children, I have more than this to offer you during your eternal life. 

If, at this very moment, I were to make you feel what you will feel during your eternal life, you would die of joy! This is why I am begging you to accept your purification from this moment on, by saying to me:

 

Yes, Father, I want to give you my life. You gave me your Son so that I could go to him. I accept. I do not know how this must be done, but you, you know how.

 

Since you nourished me, since Jesus has allowed me to be warm in winter and sheltered in summer, since you allowed all this, it is because you know better than I what I must do. I give you my life. My children of love, God has spoken to you in your hearts: these words are inside you. If this were coming from this instrument, this child, this could not have entered you for all that is human is but external and all that comes from me, your Creator, is within you, for I am within you and these words have been within you. I know each one among you, and it is to each of you that I have said these words because you have agreed to come hear your God. 

The moment you shall be before me, I who am in my Son, a great joy shall rise up within you: it will envelop you, you will become like the light, and this light will merge with the Light: my Son is the Light!

 

This has been, for you, a moment of love in your present, today, and this has been inscribed in your eternal life; and in your eternal life, this will be one more source of joy in addition to what I want to give to you. A special joy shall be within you and when you will meet children who have experienced this same joy: a ray will emerge from your chest to enter the chest of your brother or your sister, and a ray will emerge from the chest of your brother or your sister and will penetrate your chest, for you will be children of love for eternity. You shall be with me in my Kingdom. I am the Alpha and the Omega: I am Eternal Love. God's love cannot be measured, love is and shall be. Because you utter your yes, you are love. You shall be in love eternally for God the Father comes to place very special graces within you which will ensure that your life is a yes to The Love. I am the Presence, you are in my Presence. I love you, my children. The Father wants the person, the eldest, to bless the children in his Name. The eldest person present blesses the people in his native tongue. 

The Girl of My Will in Jesus in the Holy Spirit: Yesterday, when we came to the Mission of the Shroud (in Winnipeg), it was raining hard; we were asking ourselves if we were going to come here the following day given the bad road conditions.

 

 I asked God, he said to me, You will have the answer tomorrow, it is my gathering, not yours.

So, in the morning when we left for Mass, it was cloudy and we hadn't talked to Roger yet.

 

 

When we went to Mass, in the spot where we were, we couldn't see outside and at the Communion it's always during Communion that he prepares me for the gatherings when I shut my eyes, Jesus, he said to me, I want you to abandon yourself.

 

 

I said, Yes and (I saw inside me) it was white, there were feathers and the head of a bird, it was a bird that was all white: it was covering my entire body; so, I was surprised because I didn't know what it meant.

 

 

All of a sudden, something took me and brought me straight up into Heaven.

 

 

And then I presented myself before three people all in white I knew it was the Trinity because it wasn't the first time that I saw them so God the Father said, I want you to go talk to my children.

 

 It's not up to you to know what you must say, it's up to me, they are my children; I am the one who is going to be there, not you. Then, he said, Go, my daughter, you are no more.

 

 

Afterwards, when I went outside, the sky was blue. I know this because the person I was with said, Look she said it wasn't you who said this You said it too, eh? that the blue of the Manitoba sky was more beautiful than anywhere else.

 

 So, I came here without thinking about it, without knowing anything, because there's always an emptiness that forms inside me, there are prayers that rise up in me, it's always prayers.  And then, I arrived, and I never know what I'm going to talk about, he doesn't even want me to know because he says: You are only an instrument and I am the one who talks to my children, you, you have nothing to say. But he said, I will give you love for my children. He's giving me graces: to love everybody, all children. And when I came up here and I saw you, then, inside me it was: Good, I know them, and I've known them for a long time. I don't know, what I can feel can't be explained, but there isn't the same shyness as before. I was a very shy little girl in my little family; I didn't talk much, I didn't have any friends. And then, everything changed in my life. I wouldn't jump up on a rooftop to tell everyone but I feel good inside, I feel comfortable with the people I'm meeting. Tha's how it is, I can't explain it. 

And he also gave me tremendous respect for elderly people; this, I've had this since I was little because my father was very important to me: he was the head of the family, that was daddy! I also have the same respect, but in a different way, for young people, for us: we're all the same, eh?

 

We're the same age, us; that's okay for us, but when I see young people, something happens inside me, it's a different kind of respect than the one for older people, but it's still respect. And when I saw the baby girl (a few months old) there, it was a joy; it's like a candy that I receive. 

Roger Poisson: I have a message that the Lord gave me upon our arrival at Sandy Bay for her visit. He said, For you, thanks to your prayers concerning her visit, I put the rain aside and I leave you the washboard!

 

(Laughter) The washboard is their way of life; there are lots of people who still don't have water in their houses.

To those who are patiently waiting for my return, receive my blessings! Persevere until the end my children.

 

Do not lose heart over what you perceive is my failure to fulfill certain promises of which you have been expecting to receive. Time is a factor my children.

 

Your sense of time might not exactly correspond to heaven's time but let me tell you that this time gap is narrower now than before.  

Convergence will come sooner than you think that what you have been expecting will suddenly find its fulfillment.

 

So, be on guard, vigilant , not only with your sense of time but more importantly with the health of your soul upon whose condition your matter of being deserving or not to receive what you expect rests upon.

 

 The state of your soul will determine whether or not your joining the circle of the elect will come a stark reality. 

Remember the parable of the five wise virgins who kept enough oil in their lamps so that the light of the lamp, representing the light of the soul is kept brightly burning when my time to appear as the groom becomes manifest reality. Will it take too long?

Friday, September 13, 1935. In the evening, when I was in my cell, I saw an Angel, the executor of divine wrath. He was clothed in a dazzling robe, his face gloriously bright, a cloud beneath his feet.

 

From the cloud, bolts of thunder and flashes of lightning were springing into his hands; and from his hand they were going forth, and only then were they striking the earth.

 

When I saw this sign of divine wrath which was about to strike the earth, and in particular a certain place, which for good reasons I cannot name, I began to implore the Angel to hold off for a few moments, and the world would do penance. But my plea was a mere nothing in the face of the divine anger. Just then I saw the Most Holy Trinity.

 

The greatness of Its majesty pierced me deeply, and I did not dare to repeat my entreaties. At that very moment I felt in my soul the power of Jesus' grace, which dwells in my soul.

 

When I became conscious of this grace, I was instantly snatched up before the Throne of God. Oh, how great is our Lord and God and how incomprehensible His holiness!

 

I will make no attempt to describe this greatness, because before long we shall all see Him as He is. I found myself pleading with God for the world with words heard interiorly.

 

 As I was praying in this manner, I saw the Angel's helplessness: he could not carry out the just punishment that was rightly due for sins. Jesus also viewed faith as a prerequisite to healing: When he entered Capernaum, a centurion came to him, appealing to him and saying, "Lord my servant is lying at home paralyzed in terrible distress."

 

And [Jesus] said to him, "I will come and cure him." The centurion answered, "Lord, I am not worthy to have you come under my roof; but only speak the word, and my servant will be healed." When Jesus heard him, he was amazed and said to those who followed him, "Truly I tell you, in no one in Israel have I found such faith." And to the centurion Jesus said, "Go; let it be done for you according to your faith." And the servant was healed in that hour.(Mt 8:5-8,10,13) Reflection: 

Both Our Lady of Medjugorje and St.Matthew draw a strong parallel between faith and healing.

 

Mary asks the sick "to believe and pray; I cannot help him who does not pray and does not sacrifice." And Matthew reports that, "Jesus said to the officer, "Go home, and what you believe will be done for you." 

An expectant faith, a deep trust in the power of God, can work miracles in our lives, spiritually as well as physically.

 

In the words of the American religious writer Harry Emerson Fosdick, "It is illness and fear that freeze life; it is faith that draws, thaws it out, releases it, sets it free." Application: Today, pray simply for a deeper and more vibrant faith. I come urgently this night, this first Wednesday, to ask you for many prayers. Pray, pray, pray. This New Year is a year of grace but it is also a year of many conflicts, wars and apostasy. Pray and make sacrifices for the world.

I desire, children of mine, that you consecrate the world, by means of my Immaculate Heart, to the Sacred Heart of my Son Jesus because peace in the world is in grave danger.

 

For this whole year, every first, third and last Friday of each month, you must consecrate the world, all men, all leaders, youth and children to the Sacred Heart of Jesus to the King, to the Redeemer.

You must do it with the heart. If you do it, as I ask you, Jesus, my beloved Son, will receive your consecration and you will see how much difference your prayers, said with the heart, will make in the world. I desire that you hear and listen to me.

Beginning with the third Friday of this month (January) you are to kneel before the Lord whether in church before the Blessed Sacrament, in your home, or in the place where you find yourself. I will be present with you at that moment.

I love you and because I love you I desire to help you. Jesus desires to help you and to offer your prayers to the Father.

Thank you for having accepted my invitation of this night. I bless you and keep you inside my Immaculate Heart. And I cover my beloved priests and my deacon under my motherly mantle.

Jan 18  - PUT INTO PRACTICE THE MESSAGES

 

In her monthly message of August, 1990, Our Lady said:

 

Dear children, today I desire to invite you to take with seriousness and put into practice the messages which I am giving you. You know, little children, that I am with you, that I desire to lead you along the same path to heaven which is beautiful for those who discover it in prayer.

 

Therefore, little children, do not forget that these messages which I am giving you have to be put into your everyday life in order that you might be able to say:

 

"There, I have taken the messages and tried to live them". Dear children, I am protecting you before the heavenly Father by my own prayers (Monthly Message August 25, 1990).

 

In the following passage from scripture, Jesus also calls us to "live the messages" of the gospel:

 

As for what was sown among thorns, this is the one who hears the word, but the cares of the world and the lure of wealth choke the word, and it yields nothing.

 

But as for what was sown on good soil, this is it, who indeed bears fruit and yields, in one case a hundred fold, in another sixty, and in another thirty (Mt.13:22-23).

 

Reflection:

 

Both Christ and Our Lady urge us today to live the message of the gospel(of which the Medjugorje messages are a reflection).

 

They remind us that it is one thing to hear the message, another to act on it. This was the topic of a sermon given in Medjugorje by Fr. Slavko Barbaric in December of 1985:

 

We would be misguided to say, "I will convert tomorrow", or "I will be reconciled tomorrow". Confession is asked of me today, not tomorrow.

 

And so the messages have this meaning: to be committed and awake to God in faith, in our work, in prayer, in belief, in abandoning ourselves to him so that we are open and ready each day to meet him if he should call us to himself.

 

To live the messages also means to live in the Lord's peace, to have safe harbor in turbulent times, and a firm hope in the future, all in the here and now.

Message to Fr. Melvin Doucette January 18, 2008

 

Spend some time with Me today

 

Reading: Mark 15:20-47

 

Dear friends,

 

Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be handed over to the chief priests and the scribes, and they will condemn him to death and hand him over to the Gentiles who will mock him, spit upon him, scourge him and put him to death, but after three days he will rise. Mark 10:33-34

 

I spent a half-hour in prayer this morning with Jesus in great suffering. I was at the foot of the cross staying close to Him as He hung on the cross. After a time He said, Melvin, My brother, remain close to Me as I am about to die in horrible pain as I hang upon the cross.

 

See My hands and My feet nailed to the wood of the cross and all the blood dripping from these wounds. My whole body is covered in wounds from the whipping and the beating I received.

 

I will soon die from this excruciating pain and now I offer My sacrifice, My holocaust, to My Father in heaven for your salvation and the salvation of all the people of the world.

 

Come often to My cross, My brothers and sisters, and let Me wash you clean from all sins and free you from all forms of slavery. It is because of your sins that I suffered and died on the cross.

 

Out of love for you I took your place and suffered instead of you. I am truly your Redeemer who gave everything, even My life for you. I want you to be saved and to come and spend eternity with Me in heaven.

 

Believe in Me as your Saviour; be a full member of My Church and come and be My friend. Let us walk together every day.

 

You do not have to remain in darkness any longer. Come to Me; come to the light and leave the path of sin. Live in the power of the Holy Spirit so that you can say no to temptation and sin and live in union with Me. Come to Me and I will fill you with the Holy Spirit. Spend some time with Me today as I die on the cross to save you.

P.S. I celebrated Holy Mass at 11:00 a.m. yesterday and in the afternoon David Little and I visited Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road. He loved that church very much. Then we visited St. Simon and St. Jude's Church, Tignish. This is another beautiful church in the area. We looked at the miraculous images that have appeared on the tabernacle cloth and on the wooden cross and these are still displayed in that church. We spent some time in the Adoration Chapel in prayer before Jesus in the Holy Eucharist. In the evening David gave a talk to a small group of people. He spoke against tax-funded abortions and his meetings with Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta and Pope John Paul II.

The CALL from GOD

 

December 4, 2007

 

JESUS:  I am asking all the children who are called to serve in the Work of the "Witnesses of GOD to His Little Souls", to put all their heart and all their strength into the priority of letting everyone know of the urgent Messages of JESUS Christ, recommending to all, the WISDOM in one hand and yet encouraging boldness on the other hand.

 

Under the rule of material things, one tends to all that is material.

 

Under the rule of the Spirit, one tends to all that is spiritual.

 

To understand Me, look at Me, says JESUS.  Do you recognize Me, just as I have become once again for you, for everyone, and for all future times?  Only your soul will recognize Me, when you see Me again.

 

I am no longer as the icons have painted Me.  My Body will no longer be flesh, neither will yours.

 

I am Spiritually,

 

Your JESUS of LOVE,

 

with His Body  of Spiritual flesh.

 

I AM HE who is, who was, and who will be, and Me in you, and you in Me.

 

Everyone will be what I AM, by loving ceaselessly the Eternal Life, the One that will soon be on Earth as in Heaven.  For GOD will be in everyone and in EVERYTHING.

 

You must tell the entire World that, already, here below, anyone who wants to save His Life, will lose it.  But whoever will lose His Life because of Me and of the Gospel, will save it.

 

 (St. Mark 8:35, 6).

 

Only He who can tear within you the veil of the lack of comprehension, it is Christ, who is telling you today:

 

"Through My Holy Eucharist,

 

I come to bring you My PEACE and My JOY.

 

Obey ME!"

speak words that hurt. Do not slander anyone. Spread love among your brethren.

Better not to talk at all if talking further gets you into bitter arguments.

Yield to anyone with humility. Your vindication will come from Me and through

your own justification.

These thoughts for a day are taken from a daily meditation book based on the Messages of Our Lady of Medjugorje by Father Richard J. Beyer, Ave Maria Press.

 

 

Jan 18  - PUT INTO PRACTICE THE MESSAGES

 

In her monthly message of August, 1990, Our Lady said:

 

Dear children, today I desire to invite you to take with seriousness and put into practice the messages which I am giving you. You know, little children, that I am with you, that I desire to lead you along the same path to heaven which is beautiful for those who discover it in prayer.

 

Therefore, little children, do not forget that these messages which I am giving you have to be put into your everyday life in order that you might be able to say:

 

"There, I have taken the messages and tried to live them". Dear children, I am protecting you before the heavenly Father by my own prayers (Monthly Message August 25, 1990).

 

In the following passage from scripture, Jesus also calls us to "live the messages" of the gospel:

 

As for what was sown among thorns, this is the one who hears the word, but the cares of the world and the lure of wealth choke the word, and it yields nothing.

 

But as for what was sown on good soil, this is it, who indeed bears fruit and yields, in one case a hundred fold, in another sixty, and in another thirty (Mt.13:22-23).

 

Reflection:

 

Both Christ and Our Lady urge us today to live the message of the gospel(of which the Medjugorje messages are a reflection).

 

They remind us that it is one thing to hear the message, another to act on it. This was the topic of a sermon given in Medjugorje by Fr. Slavko Barbaric in December of 1985:

 

We would be misguided to say, "I will convert tomorrow", or "I will be reconciled tomorrow". Confession is asked of me today, not tomorrow.

 

And so the messages have this meaning: to be committed and awake to God in faith, in our work, in prayer, in belief, in abandoning ourselves to him so that we are open and ready each day to meet him if he should call us to himself.

 

To live the messages also means to live in the Lord's peace, to have safe harbor in turbulent times, and a firm hope in the future, all in the here and now.

 

Application:

 

Are there parts of the gospel message that you have failed to live? Identify one area that you can work on this week.

 

Message to Fr. Melvin Doucette January 18, 2008

 

Spend some time with Me today

 

Reading: Mark 15:20-47

 

Dear friends,

 

Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be handed over to the chief priests and the scribes, and they will condemn him to death and hand him over to the Gentiles who will mock him, spit upon him, scourge him and put him to death, but after three days he will rise. Mark 10:33-34

 

I spent a half-hour in prayer this morning with Jesus in great suffering. I was at the foot of the cross staying close to Him as He hung on the cross. After a time He said, Melvin, My brother, remain close to Me as I am about to die in horrible pain as I hang upon the cross.

 

See My hands and My feet nailed to the wood of the cross and all the blood dripping from these wounds. My whole body is covered in wounds from the whipping and the beating I received.

 

I will soon die from this excruciating pain and now I offer My sacrifice, My holocaust, to My Father in heaven for your salvation and the salvation of all the people of the world.

 

Come often to My cross, My brothers and sisters, and let Me wash you clean from all sins and free you from all forms of slavery. It is because of your sins that I suffered and died on the cross.

 

Out of love for you I took your place and suffered instead of you. I am truly your Redeemer who gave everything, even My life for you. I want you to be saved and to come and spend eternity with Me in heaven.

 

Believe in Me as your Saviour; be a full member of My Church and come and be My friend. Let us walk together every day.

 

You do not have to remain in darkness any longer. Come to Me; come to the light and leave the path of sin. Live in the power of the Holy Spirit so that you can say no to temptation and sin and live in union with Me. Come to Me and I will fill you with the Holy Spirit. Spend some time with Me today as I die on the cross to save you.

P.S. I celebrated Holy Mass at 11:00 a.m. yesterday and in the afternoon David Little and I visited Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road. He loved that church very much. Then we visited St. Simon and St. Jude's Church, Tignish. This is another beautiful church in the area. We looked at the miraculous images that have appeared on the tabernacle cloth and on the wooden cross and these are still displayed in that church. We spent some time in the Adoration Chapel in prayer before Jesus in the Holy Eucharist. In the evening David gave a talk to a small group of people. He spoke against tax-funded abortions and his meetings with Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta and Pope John Paul II.

The CALL from GOD

 

December 4, 2007

 

JESUS:  I am asking all the children who are called to serve in the Work of the "Witnesses of GOD to His Little Souls", to put all their heart and all their strength into the priority of letting everyone know of the urgent Messages of JESUS Christ, recommending to all, the WISDOM in one hand and yet encouraging boldness on the other hand.

 

Under the rule of material things, one tends to all that is material.

 

Under the rule of the Spirit, one tends to all that is spiritual.

 

To understand Me, look at Me, says JESUS.  Do you recognize Me, just as I have become once again for you, for everyone, and for all future times?  Only your soul will recognize Me, when you see Me again.

 

I am no longer as the icons have painted Me.  My Body will no longer be flesh, neither will yours.

 

I am Spiritually,

 

Your JESUS of LOVE,

 

with His Body  of Spiritual flesh.

 

I AM HE who is, who was, and who will be, and Me in you, and you in Me.

 

Everyone will be what I AM, by loving ceaselessly the Eternal Life, the One that will soon be on Earth as in Heaven.  For GOD will be in everyone and in EVERYTHING.

 

You must tell the entire World that, already, here below, anyone who wants to save His Life, will lose it.  But whoever will lose His Life because of Me and of the Gospel, will save it.

 

 (St. Mark 8:35, 6).

 

Only He who can tear within you the veil of the lack of comprehension, it is Christ, who is telling you today:

 

"Through My Holy Eucharist,

 

I come to bring you My PEACE and My JOY.

 

Obey ME!"

 

says your LORD.

 

I am asking you for thousands of Masses in the whole World.  Let every Priest give Me His LOVE, says the Father to you, by offering Me the Holy Sacrifice of My Divine SON on His CROSS OF LOVE.  The Altar of your Church will light up.

I came into the world for you

 

Reading: Luke 9:23-27

 

Dear friends,

 

If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow Me. Luke 9:23

 

Every day people are writing for a subscription to the newsletter Heaven's Voice. All those who subscribe will get the first two issues of the newsletter by return mail.                                                                                

 

I spent a half-hour in contemplative prayer this morning with Jesus, Our Lord. He said, Melvin, My brother and friend, I love you.

 

I bless you all, My brothers and sisters, living in all the countries of the world. You are My friends if you accept Me and spend time with Me in a heart-to-heart talk every day.

 

I empower you with the Holy Spirit every day to live in close union with Me.

 

The person who wishes to follow Me must do My will in humility and not their own will puffed up with pride. The Father made His will known by giving us the Ten Commandments.

 

You cannot say you love God if you do not follow the commandments. The commandments do not burden you or restrict you but they make you free from any immorality to be able to follow Me.

 

Do not let pride rule your life for if you do, you are sure to fall. It is the humble person who succeeds because that person knows his or her weakness and the importance of relying on Me for strength.

 

The cross is present in every human life. Many fight the cross and are afraid of it. This fight leaves them anxious, depressed, worried and unable to sleep at night.

 

My advice to you is to do as I did. I embraced My cross and carried it and it became the means by which I was able to redeem the peoples of the world. The cross means all the suffering, pain and difficulties of life. I call you, My friends, to carry your cross with Me. I will help you carry it and you will find that it is not so overwhelming.

 

There will be peace in your heart because I will be with you and I will strengthen you. Remain always with Me, filled with hope and love and I will not disappoint you.

 

I came into the world for you to bring you life so that you may have it in abundance. Open your heart that I may fill it with My grace. I bless you.

It is true someone else made them for you at the time; but as you mature, you become more familiar with them and now you realize they are the outline of your life. They are the framework in which you live and serve the Father's Will.

 

You also realize that doing this brings you joy, brings you through whatever difficulty life brings you! More and more, you experience the presence of your Triune God and Holy Mother and so many Angels with you at all times, giving you

the strength you need for whatever it is; and you pray for each other and together, and this is the Kingdom. My children, live the victory of living in

the Kingdom on earth as it is in Heaven.

 

Live the process that makes you become more and more who you were created to be. As you do this, you are alwaysprepared for whatever occurs in the world, no matter how difficult, even how

disastrous.

 

You know that you are preparing as each year begins for the new events of the New Year. Take care of yourselves, My children, as you do this. Take care of each other, even if it is in prayer and not a hands-on situation because your prayers have wings and hands and the ability to comfort and heal. Believe this!

Pray in this way, My children; because you are all needy and you are all weary and you all continue to pray and to serve and try to do the Father's Will.

Always, this will be the theme. Always, this will be the reminding that I bring you. Each time you reach a new level of service and experience at the Father's Will, you will understand how important these things are.

 

You wish to know how to be prepared? This is how you are prepared, to be more faithful to your God, to spend more time before Me. I speak to everyone in the world. Some of you do this everyday and are so very faithful; but some of you need to be reminded, always encouraged, always.

 

Please, My children, be aware of the seriousness of My words; because of the seriousness of the events just ahead of you. Spend time with Me, My children, more time. You can find that time. I wait for you. I love you.

Our Lady directs us to Matthew's gospel today:

 

Each Thursday, read again the passage of Matthew 6:24-34, before the most blessed Sacrament, or if it is not possible to come to church, do it with your family (Locutionist Jelena & Mirjana (March 1, 1984).

 

Reflection:

 

Let us prayerfully reflect on that passage, which will also serve as our reflection today:

 

Matthew 6:24-34: No man can serve two masters. He will either hate one and love the other or be attentive to one and despise the other. You cannot give yourself to God and money.

 

Warn you, then: do not worry about your livelihood, what you are to eat or drink or use for clothing. Is not life more than food? Is not the body more valuable than clothes?

 

Look at the birds in the sky. They do not sow or reap, they gather nothing into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are not you more important than they? Which of you by worrying can add a moment to his life-span?

 

As for clothes, why be concerned? Learn a lesson from the way the wild flowers grow. They do not work, they do not spin. Yet I assure you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was arrayed like one of these.

 

If God can clothe in such splendor the grass of the field, which blooms today and is thrown on the fire tomorrow, will He not provide much more for you, O weak in faith!

 

Stop worrying then, over questions like, `What are we to eat, or what are we to drink, or what are we to wear?' The unbelievers are always running after these things. Your heavenly Father knows all that you need.

 

Seek first his kingship over you, his way of holiness, and all these things will be given you besides. Enough, then, of worrying about tomorrow. Let tomorrow take care of itself.

 

Today has troubles enough of its own. (Mt. 6:24-34).

Heeding Our Lady's advice today, place a book mark in your Bible at Matthew 6:24. Reflect on this passage on Thursdays for the next several weeks.

Reading: Matthew 7:7-11

 

Dear friends,

 

"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you." Matthew 7:7

 

As usual I was in prayer early this morning with Jesus, Our Lord and Our Saviour, and He said, "Melvin, My brother and friend, I love you.

 

My words today are addressed to all of you, My brothers and sisters, to help you in your walk with Me and to have the strength to avoid evil and do good. You were all born with original sin because of the sin of Adam and Eve, your first parents.

 

The result of this is that you lean towards sin. Without My help you cannot free yourself from this darkness and sin. I had to come to live among you to redeem you from sin and to bring you into My light.

 

I remind you again that My grace is always available to help you but you need to open your heart to Me. You need to ask for the graces you need and to cooperate with this grace. There are many who do not believe in Me today and you see how they live their lives.

 

They live in sin and in darkness. I came into the world to bring them out of this dungeon and I am calling all of them today to come to Me.

 

Pray that they do not waste their lives in following the road that leads to death and misery. Why do they persist in following this way that leads to punishment and pain? It is their pride that causes this. Oh! That they come to Me and I would refresh them!

 

My dear friends, be good examples to all those you meet. Let My love for you show itself by your love for your neighbour. As I bless you with peace, pass this peace on to others. As you receive from Me freely, give of your time and effort freely to others.

 

Do not condemn them, but pray that they change and live in true friendship with Me and with all their relatives and neighbours. You will be rewarded in heaven for all you do for your brothers and sisters. I give you My peace and My love."

Dear friends,

 

We give thanks to God always for all of you, remembering you in our prayers, unceasingly calling to mind your work of faith and labor of love and endurance in hope of our Lord Jesus Christ, before our God and Father. 1 Thessalonians 1:2-3

 

I spent a half-hour in prayer this morning with Jesus, Our Lord and Friend. He said, Melvin, My brother and companion, I love you. I have a word for all My friends spread throughout the world. All those who believe in Me have the duty to spread the Good News to their own community, their country and throughout the world. There are still many people who have not heard of Me in the world and whom will I send to teach them? Every time a person comes to believe in Me and enter My Church, My light penetrates another heart. I want the whole world to be covered in My light. How will they come to know Me and follow Me, if there is no one to teach them?

 

Today very little is heard about being a missionary and going to a foreign land to teach the people the Word of God and to establish My Church. All My followers should know that the Church is missionary and it is an essential part of Her. If you lose that dimension, your horizon becomes very limited and not wholly catholic. Parishes should invite missionaries to speak to the people and to let them know about the Church in other countries. All should receive the call to be missionary either by giving one's life to this important task or helping those working in these countries. Without a strong missionary dimension of the local church, there is something missing and the Church will be affected adversely by this omission.

 

I call you all, My brothers and sisters, to pray for the missions that the Church may grow in all the countries of the world. It is true that there is missionary work to be done wherever you are. I bless you with peace.

My dearest children, I am your God and your Father, Who speaks today. Welcome,

My dear children, to this new year, to this new time of prayer, to this new

level of purification on which I am taking each of you who prays and listens to

the words of Heaven. I do not have to remind you that you are experiencing a

new level of purification; because, children, I know that you can feel it, that

you see it within yourselves. Certainly you feel it in sorrowful ways, in

remorse, in feelings of disappointment with yourself. My children, do not be

disappointed with yourselves. Rejoice, because you are being gifted in a new

and deeper way.

 

Remember, there is the need for prayer for the remission of your sin, for the

reparation of your sin. You need to be reminded of that many times; because it

shows you the effects of original sin and how long lasting they are. It will

hopefully help you, remind you of your weaknesses and your predisposition to

sin, a real anchor around the necks of all of My people. This anchor tends to

pull you down toward your weaknesses; and the longer you wait, the more easily

this happens. You know this is true. It is simply another effect of your

humanity. It is so important to remember the weakness and vulnerability of

being human. It will hopefully do away with your disappointment in yourself,

with your imperfection as you see it; because it is the world's imperfection

that you are experiencing.

 

Remember that sin will always be with you to a much lesser degree; but it is

there, the inclination and each of you, individually, has your own individual

and special vulnerabilities: but now, again, My, children rejoice because you

also see how far you have traveled in this new creation I am making of you, in

this new environment of holiness in which you are living, the holiness of the

Presence of Jesus and Mary and the many, many Angels. Remember the many, many

Angels that accompany you, My children. How glorious is this! How wondrous is

this gift! How uplifting when you are feeling down and disappointed and

discouraged and depressed! Remember that these feelings are part of your

letting go of the world. You must experience them. It is part of your process.

You know so much more about process and seeing it. It is not a theological

element of your spirituality. It is a practical, human element of your journey,

but it is something you must go through.

 

Remember that you are not alone. Pray for each other because of these dynamics.

Pray for courage as well as strength; and again, get over yourself, My children.

Do not be carried away by your own journey and your own weaknesses and the way

you would rather have it, then the way it is in My plan. It is thus for

everyone. It is needed in your experience for your purity, for your new level

of strength, for your new level of understanding yourself, and thus

understanding your God and His plans for you, and the humanity of Jesus. All of

these things are everything in importance to your journey, and they are more and

more important as time goes by; and you have been given more time along the way

so often.

 

My children, I speak at length today, because I am with you and love you so

strongly. I love you, My dear ones. I sustain you in life and keep you alive

with My love and My concerns for you. It is everything that you make as much

progress as possible in all of these trials that you experience, that you may

overcome as much as possible: your self, your "self", My people. What a burden

you are to yourselves, My children. How I wish to free you of this burden and

this absorption and worry. My children, your God is your all in all. As you

discover these things about yourself, give them to the Triune God, give them to

the Holy Mother, that you might be more relieved of the effects of your

weaknesses; your habitual sin, even though they are small perhaps, that cling

the most when it is part of your purification that you get rid of them, although

you will always have these inclinations.

 

My dear ones, I am your Father. I speak to you as a concerned and loving Father

this day with reminders, with encouragement, with great, great blessing, with

the great, great effect of My power, the might of My arm. O My children, do not

think I am just talking, talking. I am being a father. I am loving you. Allow

Me, for you must, you must cooperate in being children by allowing Me. You

still need to change, to become. Allow Me, My children, to do this for you, to

effect this within you. Allow Me. Let Me love you. Thank you for loving Me.

Jan 16 - HAVE CONFIDENCE IN ME

 

In answer to the visionaries doubts as to whether they would be strong enough to endure, the Virgin said:

 

You will be able to, my angels. Do not fear. You will be able to endure everything. You must believe and have confidence in me (First Years June 29, 1981).

 

Jesus also prepared his disciples for persecution:

 

See, I am sending you out like sheep into the midst of wolves; so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves. Beware of them, for they will hand you over to councils and flog you in their synagogues; and you will be dragged before governors and kings because of me, as a testimony to them and the Gentiles. You will be hated by all because of my name. But the one who endures to the end will be saved (Mt 10:16-18; 22).

 

Reflection:

 

Today both Christ and Our Lady speak of endurance in the midst of persecution, not only for the individual, but for the Church as a whole. Almost every nation on earth has record of Catholics who suffered and died in the name of the Christian religion. Elizabethan England, for example, saw the ruthless persecution of Catholics who took enormous risks to practice their faith. The issues were clear, a kingdom or state determined to crush the Catholic religion as something manifestly opposed to its goals, and a threat to its principles.

 

In more recent times, Nazi Germany also recognized the threat presented by the Church, as was attested by the presence of over 2,000 priests in Dachau alone. During the Cold War, Eastern Europe and the Soviet Union had an appalling number of Catholics and Christians who suffered severely for their faith, and usually the issues were as clearly defined as before: they represented a threat to a state determined to exterminate their ways and attitudes.

 

But the persecutions have never succeeded, although today they are more subtle and so, more dangerous. They take the form of a gradual wearing away of Christian values and beliefs by constant exposure to a hedonistic and materialistic culture through the mass media, the cinema, the arts, and even the courts.

 

Application:

 

Persecution is not always overt; do not be robbed of your faith through stealth. Stay close to Our Lady, live her messages. Remember her encouraging words today, "You will be able to endure everything. You must believe and have confidence in me."

These words were so filled with power and so clear that I would give my life in declaring they came from God. I can tell this by the profound peace that accompanied them at that time and that still remains with me. This peace gives me such great strength and power that all difficulties, adversities, sufferings, and death itself are as nothing. This light gave me a glimpse of the truth that all my efforts to bring souls to know the mercy of the Lord are very pleasing to God. And from this springs such great joy in my soul that I do not know whether it could be any greater in heaven, Oh, if souls would only be willing to listen, at least a little, to the voice of conscience and the voice-that is, the inspirations-of the Holy Spirit! Jan 15 -  UNTIL YOU ARE FILLED WITH JOY

 

I am joyful, but my joy is not complete until you are filled with joy. You are not yet filled with joy because you are not yet at the stage of understanding my immense love (Locutionists Jelena & Mirjana October 1986).

 

And from the prophet Isaiah, words of joy:

 

I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, My whole being shall exult in my God; For he has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with a garland, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

Reflection: The great Austrian composer, Franz Josef Haydn, once said,"When I think upon my God, my heart is so full of joy that the notes dance and leap from my pen; and since God has given me a cheerful heart, it will be pardoned me that I serve him with a cheerful spirit."

 

Joy is the echo of God's love within us. To the degree that we can comprehend his love, through prayer, the deeper our joy will be. Marija Pavolovic, one of the Medjugorje visionaries, says that, "God's love is very great, and in his love he has created us. We are the fruit of his love. God has given us a special gift,: he wants to love us more than himself… He created us to respond to his love."

 

Application:

 

Reflect on the following today: "The supreme happiness of life is the conviction of being loved for yourself, or more correctly, of being loved of yourself" (Victor Hugo).

With regard to what we can do for the sick, the Virgin said :

 

"Pray, pray and believe firmly. Say the prayers which have already been requested. [7 Our Fathers, 7 Hail Marys & 7 Glory Bes and the Creed. Do more penance. (First Years April 15, 1982).

 

Healing the sick was a major part of Christ's ministry on earth:

 

When Jesus entered Peter's house, he saw his mother-in-law lying in bed with a fever; he touched her hand, and the fever left her, and she got up and began to serve him. That evening they brought to him many who were possessed with demons; and he cast out the spirits with a word, and cured all who were sick(Mt 8:14-16).

 

Reflection:

 

Rather than speak of the sick, let us today simply pray for them as Our Lady asks. The following prayer was given to Jelena, the locutionist, by the Madonna. She said that it was the most beautiful prayer that could be offered for those who are ill.

 

Application:

 

Today, offer the following Prayers for the Sick: O my God, behold your sick child before you. Heed his special request, that which he feels is most important for him. May you, my Lord, entrust to his heart these words: "The health of the soul, too, is vital."

 

Lord, may your will be done in him; if you choose his healing, may he be cured; if you choose another blessing, may he bear his cross with love.

 

I also pray to you for all who intercede for him. Purify our hearts that we many worthily convey your holy mercy.

 

Protect your child, relieve his pain, that your will may be done in him, and that your presence and love may be revealed through him. Grant him the grace to bear his cross with courage. Amen.

Reading: Matthew 28:16-20

 

Dear friends,

 

We give thanks to God always for all of you, remembering you in our prayers, unceasingly calling to mind your work of faith and labor of love and endurance in hope of our Lord Jesus Christ, before our God and Father. 1 Thessalonians 1:2-3

 

I spent a half-hour in prayer this morning with Jesus, Our Lord and Friend. He said, Melvin, My brother and companion, I love you. I have a word for all My friends spread throughout the world. All those who believe in Me have the duty to spread the Good News to their own community, their country and throughout the world. There are still many people who have not heard of Me in the world and whom will I send to teach them? Every time a person comes to believe in Me and enter My Church, My light penetrates another heart. I want the whole world to be covered in My light. How will they come to know Me and follow Me, if there is no one to teach them?

 

Today very little is heard about being a missionary and going to a foreign land to teach the people the Word of God and to establish My Church. All My followers should know that the Church is missionary and it is an essential part of Her. If you lose that dimension, your horizon becomes very limited and not wholly catholic. Parishes should invite missionaries to speak to the people and to let them know about the Church in other countries. All should receive the call to be missionary either by giving one's life to this important task or helping those working in these countries. Without a strong missionary dimension of the local church, there is something missing and the Church will be affected adversely by this omission.

 

I call you all, My brothers and sisters, to pray for the missions that the Church may grow in all the countries of the world. It is true that there is missionary work to be done wherever you are. I bless you with peace.

My dearest children, I am your God and your Father, Who speaks today. Welcome,

My dear children, to this new year, to this new time of prayer, to this new

level of purification on which I am taking each of you who prays and listens to

the words of Heaven. I do not have to remind you that you are experiencing a

new level of purification; because, children, I know that you can feel it, that

you see it within yourselves. Certainly you feel it in sorrowful ways, in

remorse, in feelings of disappointment with yourself. My children, do not be

disappointed with yourselves. Rejoice, because you are being gifted in a new

and deeper way.

 

Remember, there is the need for prayer for the remission of your sin, for the

reparation of your sin. You need to be reminded of that many times; because it

shows you the effects of original sin and how long lasting they are. It will

hopefully help you, remind you of your weaknesses and your predisposition to

sin, a real anchor around the necks of all of My people. This anchor tends to

pull you down toward your weaknesses; and the longer you wait, the more easily

this happens. You know this is true. It is simply another effect of your

humanity. It is so important to remember the weakness and vulnerability of

being human. It will hopefully do away with your disappointment in yourself,

with your imperfection as you see it; because it is the world's imperfection

that you are experiencing.

 

Remember that sin will always be with you to a much lesser degree; but it is

there, the inclination and each of you, individually, has your own individual

and special vulnerabilities: but now, again, My, children rejoice because you

also see how far you have traveled in this new creation I am making of you, in

this new environment of holiness in which you are living, the holiness of the

Presence of Jesus and Mary and the many, many Angels. Remember the many, many

Angels that accompany you, My children. How glorious is this! How wondrous is

this gift! How uplifting when you are feeling down and disappointed and

discouraged and depressed! Remember that these feelings are part of your

letting go of the world. You must experience them. It is part of your process.

You know so much more about process and seeing it. It is not a theological

element of your spirituality. It is a practical, human element of your journey,

but it is something you must go through.

 

Remember that you are not alone. Pray for each other because of these dynamics.

Pray for courage as well as strength; and again, get over yourself, My children.

Do not be carried away by your own journey and your own weaknesses and the way

you would rather have it, then the way it is in My plan. It is thus for

everyone. It is needed in your experience for your purity, for your new level

of strength, for your new level of understanding yourself, and thus

understanding your God and His plans for you, and the humanity of Jesus. All of

these things are everything in importance to your journey, and they are more and

more important as time goes by; and you have been given more time along the way

so often.

 

My children, I speak at length today, because I am with you and love you so

strongly. I love you, My dear ones. I sustain you in life and keep you alive

with My love and My concerns for you. It is everything that you make as much

progress as possible in all of these trials that you experience, that you may

overcome as much as possible: your self, your "self", My people. What a burden

you are to yourselves, My children. How I wish to free you of this burden and

this absorption and worry. My children, your God is your all in all. As you

discover these things about yourself, give them to the Triune God, give them to

the Holy Mother, that you might be more relieved of the effects of your

weaknesses; your habitual sin, even though they are small perhaps, that cling

the most when it is part of your purification that you get rid of them, although

you will always have these inclinations.

 

My dear ones, I am your Father. I speak to you as a concerned and loving Father

this day with reminders, with encouragement, with great, great blessing, with

the great, great effect of My power, the might of My arm. O My children, do not

think I am just talking, talking. I am being a father. I am loving you. Allow

Me, for you must, you must cooperate in being children by allowing Me. You

still need to change, to become. Allow Me, My children, to do this for you, to

effect this within you. Allow Me. Let Me love you. Thank you for loving Me.

Jan 16 - HAVE CONFIDENCE IN ME

 

In answer to the visionaries doubts as to whether they would be strong enough to endure, the Virgin said:

 

You will be able to, my angels. Do not fear. You will be able to endure everything. You must believe and have confidence in me (First Years June 29, 1981).

 

Jesus also prepared his disciples for persecution:

 

See, I am sending you out like sheep into the midst of wolves; so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves. Beware of them, for they will hand you over to councils and flog you in their synagogues; and you will be dragged before governors and kings because of me, as a testimony to them and the Gentiles. You will be hated by all because of my name. But the one who endures to the end will be saved (Mt 10:16-18; 22).

 

Reflection:

 

Today both Christ and Our Lady speak of endurance in the midst of persecution, not only for the individual, but for the Church as a whole. Almost every nation on earth has record of Catholics who suffered and died in the name of the Christian religion. Elizabethan England, for example, saw the ruthless persecution of Catholics who took enormous risks to practice their faith. The issues were clear, a kingdom or state determined to crush the Catholic religion as something manifestly opposed to its goals, and a threat to its principles.

 

In more recent times, Nazi Germany also recognized the threat presented by the Church, as was attested by the presence of over 2,000 priests in Dachau alone. During the Cold War, Eastern Europe and the Soviet Union had an appalling number of Catholics and Christians who suffered severely for their faith, and usually the issues were as clearly defined as before: they represented a threat to a state determined to exterminate their ways and attitudes.

 

But the persecutions have never succeeded, although today they are more subtle and so, more dangerous. They take the form of a gradual wearing away of Christian values and beliefs by constant exposure to a hedonistic and materialistic culture through the mass media, the cinema, the arts, and even the courts.

 

Application:

 

Persecution is not always overt; do not be robbed of your faith through stealth. Stay close to Our Lady, live her messages. Remember her encouraging words today, "You will be able to endure everything. You must believe and have confidence in me."

These words were so filled with power and so clear that I would give my life in declaring they came from God. I can tell this by the profound peace that accompanied them at that time and that still remains with me. This peace gives me such great strength and power that all difficulties, adversities, sufferings, and death itself are as nothing. This light gave me a glimpse of the truth that all my efforts to bring souls to know the mercy of the Lord are very pleasing to God. And from this springs such great joy in my soul that I do not know whether it could be any greater in heaven, Oh, if souls would only be willing to listen, at least a little, to the voice of conscience and the voice-that is, the inspirations-of the Holy Spirit! Jan 15 -  UNTIL YOU ARE FILLED WITH JOY

 

I am joyful, but my joy is not complete until you are filled with joy. You are not yet filled with joy because you are not yet at the stage of understanding my immense love (Locutionists Jelena & Mirjana October 1986).

 

And from the prophet Isaiah, words of joy:

 

I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, My whole being shall exult in my God; For he has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with a garland, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

Reflection: The great Austrian composer, Franz Josef Haydn, once said,"When I think upon my God, my heart is so full of joy that the notes dance and leap from my pen; and since God has given me a cheerful heart, it will be pardoned me that I serve him with a cheerful spirit."

 

Joy is the echo of God's love within us. To the degree that we can comprehend his love, through prayer, the deeper our joy will be. Marija Pavolovic, one of the Medjugorje visionaries, says that, "God's love is very great, and in his love he has created us. We are the fruit of his love. God has given us a special gift,: he wants to love us more than himself… He created us to respond to his love."

 

Application:

 

Reflect on the following today: "The supreme happiness of life is the conviction of being loved for yourself, or more correctly, of being loved of yourself" (Victor Hugo).

With regard to what we can do for the sick, the Virgin said :

 

"Pray, pray and believe firmly. Say the prayers which have already been requested. [7 Our Fathers, 7 Hail Marys & 7 Glory Bes and the Creed. Do more penance. (First Years April 15, 1982).

 

Healing the sick was a major part of Christ's ministry on earth:

 

When Jesus entered Peter's house, he saw his mother-in-law lying in bed with a fever; he touched her hand, and the fever left her, and she got up and began to serve him. That evening they brought to him many who were possessed with demons; and he cast out the spirits with a word, and cured all who were sick(Mt 8:14-16).

 

Reflection:

 

Rather than speak of the sick, let us today simply pray for them as Our Lady asks. The following prayer was given to Jelena, the locutionist, by the Madonna. She said that it was the most beautiful prayer that could be offered for those who are ill.

 

Application:

 

Today, offer the following Prayers for the Sick: O my God, behold your sick child before you. Heed his special request, that which he feels is most important for him. May you, my Lord, entrust to his heart these words: "The health of the soul, too, is vital."

 

Lord, may your will be done in him; if you choose his healing, may he be cured; if you choose another blessing, may he bear his cross with love.

 

I also pray to you for all who intercede for him. Purify our hearts that we many worthily convey your holy mercy.

 

Protect your child, relieve his pain, that your will may be done in him, and that your presence and love may be revealed through him. Grant him the grace to bear his cross with courage. Amen.

Reading: Matthew 28:16-20

 

Dear friends,

 

We give thanks to God always for all of you, remembering you in our prayers, unceasingly calling to mind your work of faith and labor of love and endurance in hope of our Lord Jesus Christ, before our God and Father. 1 Thessalonians 1:2-3

 

I spent a half-hour in prayer this morning with Jesus, Our Lord and Friend. He said, Melvin, My brother and companion, I love you. I have a word for all My friends spread throughout the world. All those who believe in Me have the duty to spread the Good News to their own community, their country and throughout the world. There are still many people who have not heard of Me in the world and whom will I send to teach them? Every time a person comes to believe in Me and enter My Church, My light penetrates another heart. I want the whole world to be covered in My light. How will they come to know Me and follow Me, if there is no one to teach them?

 

Today very little is heard about being a missionary and going to a foreign land to teach the people the Word of God and to establish My Church. All My followers should know that the Church is missionary and it is an essential part of Her. If you lose that dimension, your horizon becomes very limited and not wholly catholic. Parishes should invite missionaries to speak to the people and to let them know about the Church in other countries. All should receive the call to be missionary either by giving one's life to this important task or helping those working in these countries. Without a strong missionary dimension of the local church, there is something missing and the Church will be affected adversely by this omission.

 

I call you all, My brothers and sisters, to pray for the missions that the Church may grow in all the countries of the world. It is true that there is missionary work to be done wherever you are. I bless you with peace.

element of your spirituality. It is a practical, human element of your journey,

but it is something you must go through.

 

Remember that you are not alone. Pray for each other because of these dynamics.

Pray for courage as well as strength; and again, get over yourself, My children.

Do not be carried away by your own journey and your own weaknesses and the way

you would rather have it, then the way it is in My plan. It is thus for

everyone. It is needed in your experience for your purity, for your new level

of strength, for your new level of understanding yourself, and thus

understanding your God and His plans for you, and the humanity of Jesus. All of

these things are everything in importance to your journey, and they are more and

more important as time goes by; and you have been given more time along the way

so often.

 

My children, I speak at length today, because I am with you and love you so

strongly. I love you, My dear ones. I sustain you in life and keep you alive

with My love and My concerns for you. It is everything that you make as much

progress as possible in all of these trials that you experience, that you may

overcome as much as possible: your self, your "self", My people. What a burden

you are to yourselves, My children. How I wish to free you of this burden and

this absorption and worry. My children, your God is your all in all. As you

discover these things about yourself, give them to the Triune God, give them to

the Holy Mother, that you might be more relieved of the effects of your

weaknesses; your habitual sin, even though they are small perhaps, that cling

the most when it is part of your purification that you get rid of them, although

you will always have these inclinations.

 

My dear ones, I am your Father. I speak to you as a concerned and loving Father

this day with reminders, with encouragement, with great, great blessing, with

the great, great effect of My power, the might of My arm. O My children, do not

think I am just talking, talking. I am being a father. I am loving you. Allow

Me, for you must, you must cooperate in being children by allowing Me. You

still need to change, to become. Allow Me, My children, to do this for you, to

effect this within you. Allow Me. Let Me love you. Thank you for loving Me.

If only they could understand that I am the best of Fathers to them and that it is for them that the Blood and Water flowed from My Heart as from a fount overflowing with mercy. For them I dwell in the tabernacle as King of Mercy. I desire to bestow My graces upon souls, but they do not want to accept them. Jan 16 - HAVE CONFIDENCE IN ME

 

In answer to the visionaries doubts as to whether they would be strong enough to endure, the Virgin said:

 

You will be able to, my angels. Do not fear. You will be able to endure everything. You must believe and have confidence in me (First Years June 29, 1981).

 

Jesus also prepared his disciples for persecution:

 

See, I am sending you out like sheep into the midst of wolves; so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves. Beware of them, for they will hand you over to councils and flog you in their synagogues; and you will be dragged before governors and kings because of me, as a testimony to them and the Gentiles. You will be hated by all because of my name. But the one who endures to the end will be saved (Mt 10:16-18; 22).

 

Reflection:

 

Today both Christ and Our Lady speak of endurance in the midst of persecution, not only for the individual, but for the Church as a whole. Almost every nation on earth has record of Catholics who suffered and died in the name of the Christian religion. Elizabethan England, for example, saw the ruthless persecution of Catholics who took enormous risks to practice their faith. The issues were clear, a kingdom or state determined to crush the Catholic religion as something manifestly opposed to its goals, and a threat to its principles.

 

In more recent times, Nazi Germany also recognized the threat presented by the Church, as was attested by the presence of over 2,000 priests in Dachau alone. During the Cold War, Eastern Europe and the Soviet Union had an appalling number of Catholics and Christians who suffered severely for their faith, and usually the issues were as clearly defined as before: they represented a threat to a state determined to exterminate their ways and attitudes.

 

But the persecutions have never succeeded, although today they are more subtle and so, more dangerous. They take the form of a gradual wearing away of Christian values and beliefs by constant exposure to a hedonistic and materialistic culture through the mass media, the cinema, the arts, and even the courts.

 

Application:

 

Persecution is not always overt; do not be robbed of your faith through stealth. Stay close to Our Lady, live her messages. Remember her encouraging words today, "You will be able to endure everything. You must believe and have confidence in me."

January 10, 1935. In the evening during benediction, such thoughts as these began to distress me: Is not perhaps all this that I am saying about God's great mercy just a lie or an illusion...? And I wanted to think about this for a while, when I heard a strong and clear inner voice saying, Everything that you say about My goodness is true; language has no adequate expression to extol My goodness. These words were so filled with power and so clear that I would give my life in declaring they came from God. I can tell this by the profound peace that accompanied them at that time and that still remains with me. This peace gives me such great strength and power that all difficulties, adversities, sufferings, and death itself are as nothing. This light gave me a glimpse of the truth that all my efforts to bring souls to know the mercy of the Lord are very pleasing to God. And from this springs such great joy in my soul that I do not know whether it could be any greater in heaven, Oh, if souls would only be willing to listen, at least a little, to the voice of conscience and the voice-that is, the inspirations-of the Holy Spirit! Jan 15 -  UNTIL YOU ARE FILLED WITH JOY

 

I am joyful, but my joy is not complete until you are filled with joy. You are not yet filled with joy because you are not yet at the stage of understanding my immense love (Locutionists Jelena & Mirjana October 1986).

 

And from the prophet Isaiah, words of joy:

 

I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, My whole being shall exult in my God; For he has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with a garland, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

 

Isaiah 61:10

 

Reflection: The great Austrian composer, Franz Josef Haydn, once said,"When I think upon my God, my heart is so full of joy that the notes dance and leap from my pen; and since God has given me a cheerful heart, it will be pardoned me that I serve him with a cheerful spirit."

 

Joy is the echo of God's love within us. To the degree that we can comprehend his love, through prayer, the deeper our joy will be. Marija Pavolovic, one of the Medjugorje visionaries, says that, "God's love is very great, and in his love he has created us. We are the fruit of his love. God has given us a special gift,: he wants to love us more than himself… He created us to respond to his love."

 

Application:

 

Reflect on the following today: "The supreme happiness of life is the conviction of being loved for yourself, or more correctly, of being loved of yourself" (Victor Hugo).

"It moves me to see how the joy of Eucharistic adoration is increasing throughout the Church, and how its fruits are appearing. During the period of liturgical reform, Mass and Eucharistic adoration outside of Mass were often seen as being in opposition." "[However,] receiving the Eucharist means adoring Him Whom we receive." Oh, how much I am hurt by a soul's distrust! Such a soul professes that I am Holy and Just, but does not believe that I am Mercy and does not trust in My Goodness. Even the devils glorify My Justice but do not believe in My Goodness.

With regard to what we can do for the sick, the Virgin said :

 

"Pray, pray and believe firmly. Say the prayers which have already been requested. [7 Our Fathers, 7 Hail Marys & 7 Glory Bes and the Creed. Do more penance. (First Years April 15, 1982).

 

Healing the sick was a major part of Christ's ministry on earth:

 

When Jesus entered Peter's house, he saw his mother-in-law lying in bed with a fever; he touched her hand, and the fever left her, and she got up and began to serve him. That evening they brought to him many who were possessed with demons; and he cast out the spirits with a word, and cured all who were sick(Mt 8:14-16).

 

Reflection:

 

Rather than speak of the sick, let us today simply pray for them as Our Lady asks. The following prayer was given to Jelena, the locutionist, by the Madonna. She said that it was the most beautiful prayer that could be offered for those who are ill.

 

Application:

 

Today, offer the following Prayers for the Sick: O my God, behold your sick child before you. Heed his special request, that which he feels is most important for him. May you, my Lord, entrust to his heart these words: "The health of the soul, too, is vital."

 

Lord, may your will be done in him; if you choose his healing, may he be cured; if you choose another blessing, may he bear his cross with love.

 

I also pray to you for all who intercede for him. Purify our hearts that we many worthily convey your holy mercy.

 

Protect your child, relieve his pain, that your will may be done in him, and that your presence and love may be revealed through him. Grant him the grace to bear his cross with courage. Amen.
