1st Message to Louise Feb.6,2008

Supercritical!
Message to L. ,V+J
February 6, 2008- - -11:35 A.M.
ASH WEDNESDAY

L. began to receive a message and said, "Jesus, please cover me with Your Most
Precious Blood." (and other various prayers of testing the spirits)

Then your Loving God spoke, "Dear daughter, take up your pen and write for Me
again: Due to the extremes in the weather you will have many severe storms-
-tornadoes. Many areas are due for distruction, complete annihilation.

Look at the sky for signs. Newcasters will be amazed and all will be taken
off guard. PRAY!!! It is time to let go of the world and cling to Me for only
I can be your strength when these dreadful hours come to pass.

Seek your refuge in Me! Say the prayer to Holy Michael often for
Heaven's protection. Find comfort in Me! These hours are upon you and all will
come to pass. PRAY!!!

Amen! Watch and be alert! Be at peace for I am always with My own. I am
warning you of events to come. Be prepared! PRAY!!!"

Note: mk
L. very seldom watches or sees any news so at this point in time when she had
received these words from the Father she had no knowledge of the devastating and
damaging tornadoes yesterday and today that had ripped through the Southern
states. After words the Father then told her to turn on the news and see the
terrible devastation caused by tornadoes.

Heard that 55 people had been killed. So very, very sad. But there were some
awesome miracles among the sadness..thanks be to God. The news described areas
as 'looking as though a bomb had hit!' Areas in other states were hit with snow
storms again also. He keeps telling us to prepare spiritually especially and
physically also but again especially to pray unceasingly now for every man,
woman and child! His Fatherly Arm of Justice is now falling and He weeps that He
has to punish His unrepentant and sinful children. These words of warning
through so many of His messengers have been such loving gifts to His faithful
and obedient remnant children. (of course this could be from the weather
machines (Harpp machines..also)

Message From Jesus
February 8, 2008
6:45 AM

Son, your prayers for the delay of dire prophesied events are all heard but how
long can you and others like you persevere in this respect?

Prayers of the chosen souls are always heard by the Father. It is for the sake
of the faithful that a full blown chastisement is not yet in place but being
human as they are, their weariness as far as their role as RESTRAINERS will
finally surface and prevail thus giving the opening for the Son of Perdition to
appear into the scene.

THE RESTRAINERS WIL BE TAKEN OUT before my enemy declares his forceful presence.
Woe to the people of the world when this Man of Iniquity takes over for he will
be allowed for a time to test people whether they indeed are for me or to the
enemy.

The Son of Perdition is just waiting in the wings. Circumstances that favor his
appearance are now fast shaping into place for his eventual Day of Declaration.

Scriptures will be fulfilled!

Message Reception Ended: 7:00 AM Duration: 15 Minutes Scripture Reading:

2 Thessalonians 2 The Man of Lawlessness
1Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to him,
we ask you, brothers, 2not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by some
prophecy, report or letter supposed to have come from us, saying that the day of
the Lord has already come.
3Don't let anyone deceive you in any way, for (that day will not come) until the
rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness[a] is revealed, the man doomed to
destruction. 4He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is
called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God's temple,
proclaiming himself to be God.
5Don't you remember that when I was with you I used to tell you these things?
6And now you know what is holding him back, so that he may be revealed at the
proper time. 7For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the
one who now holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken out of the
way. 8And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will
overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his
coming. 9The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of
Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders, 10and
in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing. They perish
because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. 11For this reason God
sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie 12and so that
all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in
wickedness.
Stand Firm
13But we ought always to thank God for you, brothers loved by the Lord, because
from the beginning God chose you[b] to be saved through the sanctifying work of
the Spirit and through belief in the truth. 14He called you to this through our
gospel, that you might share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. 15So then,
brothers, stand firm and hold to the teachings[c] we passed on to you, whether
by word of mouth or by letter.
16May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his
grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope,
17encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word.

Message to Ned Dougherty Feb.2, 2008

The February 2, 2008 Message from Jesus of Nazareth follows this:

Message from Ned Dougherty

Where, O death is your victory? Where, O death is your sting?"

On the evening of
Friday, February 1, 2008, I anticipated receiving a monthly
and heavenly message. Instead I received a stinging message from my mother's
physician that she was going to be released from her most recent hospitalization
to be returned to her home under hospice care.

My mother, Isabelle Dougherty, has been struggling with colon cancer for over
three years now, and my sister and I have been caring for Mom mostly at home
with intermittent hospital and nursing home stays. Since both my sister and I
have assumed the responsibility of being Mom's primary caregivers during her
illness, we have been able to provide a loving and nurturing environment at home
during the progression of her illness.

I had previously limited my speaking engagements to care for Mom, but now, with
the progression of her illness, it is necessary for me to postpone or cancel all
speaking engagements for the foreseeable future.

The St. Augustine Weekend Retreat, originally scheduled for
March 1-2, 2008,
will be postponed to a future date. I will be returning reservation deposits
promptly. I have also postponed future events in The Villages, FL and
Syracuse,
NY. Please keep me in mind for future speaking events in your area, since I
intend to greatly increase my schedule of events when God's plan permits me to
do so.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with hospice, most communities in the United
States now have a hospice service that provides at-home care services to allow
the terminally ill to die at home with dignity. Hospice services typically
provide palliative care and services with nurses, health aids, and volunteers
who provide for the physical, emotional, and spiritual well being of terminally
ill patients.

Unfortunately, the East End Hospice of Long Island is currently experiencing a
shortage of home health aids and volunteers, so the demands on my sister and I
to provide home care for Mom is even greater now than before. If you live in the
East Moriches, NY area (near the Shrine of Our Lady of the Island) and have
experience as a volunteer or health aid, and would consider making visits,
please call me at (800) 253-5218.

The sting of the physician's message for me last Friday evening was like the
sting of a bee, temporarily paralyzing, but healing with time. It is the sting
of anticipating my mother's inevitable passing for which I have had much time to
prepare, but the sting of the inevitable is still just as brutal at first bite.
The impending death of a loved one is painful, but knowing what I know, death in
its finality is not painful, but a glorious victory! Someday for all of us, that
sting of death will be gone forever!

I spent a restless Friday night and early Saturday morning alternating between
coping and praying, and despite my experiences of the Afterlife, even
questioning and challenging God, ever so briefly, on my mother's behalf. On
Saturday morning at
8:00am, I received the following message from Jesus of
Nazareth instilling in me a sense of peace and serenity that only comes with
acceptance of God's will.

Now it's my turn to ask for your prayers for my mother, Isabelle.

God bless you and your family!

Ned Dougherty

From Jesus of Nazareth

My son,

Today is a day of great struggling for you and understandably so. You have
journeyed with me throughout your existence partly in walking with me and partly
in protesting my journey with you. It is difficult for a soul, such as you
possess, to do the work of the Father, because you have chosen to seek pleasures
and desires in the material world in which you live.

But, alas, you know where your eternal home exists and you long to come home as
all souls eventually do. Where do you go from here? You are experiencing great
sorrow and loss in your life at this point in your journey, and this loss and
sorrow is also part of the journey of life in which the soul is nourished and
refreshed in ways that you do not completely understand.

The journey of the soul in the physical world requires you to live the
experiences of love as well as the experiences of hardship. When the Father and
Creator of all souls created you, He created you with great love and hope that
your journey into His existence would be rewarding for you. This journey
requires your cooperation to work with your Father and Creator to become a
soulful being who is eternally rewarded with the fruits and gifts with which
your eternal existence can be rewarded.

The journey here on Earth for all souls is a difficult one that is made more
difficult for those of you who journey throughout your lives without even an
acknowledgement of He who has created you.

For this reason, I have made this journey among you as Jesus of Nazareth to
bring you the Good News of the Eternal Promises that have been made to you by
the Father. My journey among you is as real today as it was 2,000 years ago,
when I actually walked the face of the Earth to convey the Good News of the
Father.

The Good News that must be conveyed to all brothers and sisters on the face of
the planet is the promise of the Eternal Home that is available to all souls
when you journey home to be with the Father in Heaven.

You must realize and all souls must realize that your existence here on Earth is
temporary, that you are here to learn and grow, and that when your life here is
over, you will return to God who is your home. While you are here, you are only
experiencing a glimpse of your total existence, but this glimpse of life that
you are experiencing can be difficult and troubling, and you may find yourself
wondering why there seems to be so much deprivation for some of your brothers
and sisters, while others among you seem to flourish in a material world.

The creature comforts that you experience here on Earth are fleeting and
temporary and many of you will be experiencing hardship and deprivation in this
regard, because your own personal journey requires you to make great sacrifices
to become the powerful, courageous, and loving soul that the Father has always
intended you to be.

Remember on this journey that you are here to please God and not yourself. You
are here to convey His love to all mortals and that you will be judged by how
you conduct yourselves with your brothers and sisters.

I ask you to contemplate my journey and how I chose to spread the love of the
Father during my earthly life. Do you recognize that great sacrifices were made
by me to be among you? Do you recognize that great sacrifices were made by my
mother Mary, by my earthly father Joseph, and by all the family members and
disciples who walked with me during that journey in time?

Recognize that much is also expected of you on your own journey. For those who
have received many gifts from the Father, much is expected, and in this regard,
greater sacrifices are expected from those who answer the calling from the
Father to lead all brothers and sisters back to the Father and to a recognition
that life here on earth is a temporary journey that ultimately leads to a higher
form of existence for all souls in the eternal and heavenly realms. So when you
find yourself in your journey experiencing difficulties that seem to be beyond
your ability to handle, recognize that I am here with you on this journey, that
I am walking your journey at your side, and that when the journey becomes too
heavy for you to bear, that I am carrying you throughout the most difficult
times to bring you back home to the Father.

If you remember these things when the times are difficult, then your life will
become easier for you to bear. Although great sacrifices are being made by those
of you who live in recognition of the Fatherâ??s role and my role in your
journey, you will benefit from the knowledge that you are loved by your Creator,
that you are loved by me as His Son, and that you are nourished by the power of
the Holy Spirit, a Triune of One that is all that is ultimately bringing you
home to your eternal reward.

I come to you today as Jesus of Nazareth. I come to you today to lessen your
pain, to lighten your load, and to give you the inspiration and the knowledge to
understand the importance of your role in the future of humanity.

I address that importance to all my brothers and sisters equally. Each and every
one of Godâ??s children has a very important role in the journey of
humanity. So much has happened in this world that draws humanity away from the
path of the Father, but the Father is persistent and patient with His children,
and He only wants the best for you.

Do you not recognize the Father's role in all that is good in creation? You must
focus your attention on this one thought, that all the goodness in the world
comes from your Lord and Creator, who has destined you to be a loving soul with
a very important mission in life.

Seize this one thought and make it part of your daily life, in fact, make it the
most important thought in each and every moment of each and every day and live
that one thought.

May the knowledge of God's infinite mercy be with each and ever one of you, each
and every day.

From Jesus of
Nazareth

Message From Mother Mary Thru Lec - February 8, 2008

Message From Mother Mary
February 8, 2008
7:00 AM

Son, I am the person in Scripture called "The Woman Clothed With The Sun". I
am part of the Prophecies of the End Times. Contrary to what others believe,
the Father has given me an assigned role for the liberation of planet earth and
its ushering into a New Era of Peace, the second Eden. My Son Jesus wants me
where He shall be, hence, I am giving notice of my visible presence on the
glorious earth era when the lambs lie down with the lion, when the deserts
bloom, when love prevails everywhere and war is no more.

Look forward to the New Era.

Revelation 12 The Woman and the Dragon
1A great and wondrous sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun,
with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head. 2She was
pregnant and cried out in pain as she was about to give birth. 3Then another
sign appeared in heaven: an enormous red dragon with seven heads and ten horns
and seven crowns on his heads. 4His tail swept a third of the stars out of the
sky and flung them to the earth. The dragon stood in front of the woman who was
about to give birth, so that he might devour her child the moment it was born.
5She gave birth to a son, a male child, who will rule all the nations with an
iron scepter. And her child was snatched up to God and to his throne. 6The
woman fled into the desert to a place prepared for her by God, where she might
be taken care of for 1,260 days.

Further
Readings:
Woman Clothed with the Sun

By Fr. William P. Saunders Herald Columnist (From the issue of
8/26/04)

Last Sunday [the Solemnity of the Assumption] we had a reading from the Book of
Revelation that mentioned a lady clothed with the sun, a child and a dragon.
Does the lady refer to the Blessed Mother? A Protestant friend in my Bible
study said it did not. A reader in
Sterling First, let's refresh our memories
with the passage from the Book of Revelation (
11:19 - 12:6): "Then God's temple
in heaven opened and in the temple could be seen the Ark of the Covenant. There
were flashes of lightning and peals of thunder, an earthquake and a violent
hailstorm. A great sign appeared in the sky, a woman clothed with the sun, with
the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. Because she
was with child, she wailed aloud in pain as she labored to give birth. Then
another sign appeared in the sky: it was a huge dragon, flaming red, with seven
heads and ten horns; on his heads were seven diadems. His tail swept a third of
the stars from the sky and hurled them down to the earth. Then the dragon stood
before the woman about to give birth, ready to devour her child when it should
be born. She gave birth to a son ? a boy destined to shepherd all the nations
with an iron rod. Her child was caught up to God and to his throne. The woman
herself fled into the desert, where a special place had been prepared for her by
God; there she was taken care of for 1260 days."

Since the time of the early Church fathers, this image of "the woman clothed
with the sun" has had a threefold symbolism: the ancient people of
Israel, the
Church and the Blessed Mother. Regarding the ancient people of Israel, Isaiah
described Israel as follows: "As a woman about to give birth writhes and cries
out in her pains, so were we in your presence, O Lord" (Is 26:17). Of course,
one must remember too that it is from the ancient people of
Israel that both
Mary and the Messiah came.
The "woman clothed with the sun" may also represent the Church.

Later in verse 17, we read, "Enraged at her escape, the dragon went off to make
war on the rest of her offspring, on those who keep God's commandments and give
witness to Jesus." The "offspring" being the baptized children of God, the
members of the Church. Pope St.
Gregory posited, "The sun stands for the light of truth, and the moon for the
transitoriness of temporal things; the holy Church is clothed like the sun
because she is protected by the splendor of supernatural truth, and she has the
moon under her feet because she is above all earthly things" (Moralia, 34, 12).
Finally, the woman can be identified with the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Mary gave birth to our Savior, Jesus Christ. St. Bernard commented, "The sun
contains permanent color and splendor; whereas the moon's brightness is
unpredictable and changeable, for it never stays the same. It is quite right,
then, for Mary to be depicted as clothed with the sun, for she entered the
profundity of divine wisdom much, much further than one can possibly conceive"
(De B.Virgine, 2).

In identifying the image of "the woman clothed with the sun" as our Blessed
Mother Mary, the fullness of the imagery of the ancient people of
Israel and the
Church emerges. Consider the ancient people of
Israel. When the Archangel
Gabriel appeared to Mary, he declared (as translated in the New American Bible,
1968), "Rejoice, O highly favored daughter! The Lord is with you. Blessed are
among women" (Lk
1:28). Then continuing, he said, "Do not fear, Mary. You have found favor with
God. You shall conceive and bear a son and give him the name Jesus. Great will
be His dignity and He will be called Son of the Most High. The Lord God will
give Him the throne of David His father. He will rule over the house of Jacob
forever and His reign will be without end" (Lk
1:30-33).

These statements reflect the prophecy of Zephaniah regarding the ancient people
of
Israel and the coming of the Messiah: "Shout for joy, O daughter Zion! Sing
joyfully, O Israel! Be glad and exult with all your heart, O daughter
Jerusalem! The Lord has removed the judgment against you, He has turned away
your enemies. The King of Israel, the Lord is in your midst, you have no
further misfortune to fear. On that day, it shall be said to
Jerusalem: `Fear
not, O Zion, be not discouraged!'"
(Zep 3:14-16). Therefore, Mary, the mother of the Messiah, as the "woman
clothed with the sun" represents the fulfillment of the prophecy given to the
people
Israel.

Likewise, Mary, again seen as "the woman clothed with the sun,"
rightfully represents the Church, for Mary is the Mother of the Church. St.
Paul is his Letter to the Galatians asserted, " ... When the designated time
had come, God sent forth His Son born of a woman, born under the law, to deliver
from the law those who were subject to it, so that we might receive our status
as adopted sons"
(4:4-5). Expounding upon this point, the Vatican Council II's Dogmatic
Constitution on the Church (Lumen Gentium), teaches, "At once virgin and mother,
Mary is the symbol and the most perfect realization of the Church: "the Church
indeed ... by receiving the Word of God in faith becomes herself a mother. By
preaching and Baptism she brings forth sons, who are conceived by the Holy
Spirit and born of God, to a new and immortal life" (No. 64). Moreover, the
Vatican Council II continued, that in her glorious assumption, Mary "is the
image and beginning of the Church as it is to be perfected in the world to come"
(No. 67). Finally, at the end of the third session of Vatican Council II,
November 21, 1964, when Lumen Gentium had been promulgated, Pope Paul VI
declared, "We proclaim the Most Blessed Virgin Mary Mother of the Church, i.e.
of the whole people of God, faithful and pastors, and we call her most loving
Mother." Therefore, the Blessed Mother represents the fulfillment of the image
of the Church: she who is the mother of the Savior who founded the Church, is a
spiritual mother to all who through baptism are the adopted children of God and
members of the Church.
Here it is worth citing the teaching of Pope St. Pius X in his encyclical, Ad
Diem Illum Laetissimum (1904): "Everyone knows that this woman signified the
Virgin Mary John therefore saw the most Holy Mother of God already in eternal
happiness, yet travailing in a mysterious childbirth. What birth was it?
Surely it was the birth of us who, still in exile, are yet to be generated to
the perfect charity of God, and to eternal happiness" (24).
At this point, we will pause and continue our discussion next week, examining
other reasons why the woman "clothed with the sun" refers to our Blessed Mother.

Spe Salve - Pope Benedict XVI Encylical on Hope - Release 2

The heavens are not empty and life does not end in nothingness. Faith in Gods
existence is the origin of Christian hope, it gives meaning to our existencethe
existence of each person and everyone togetherand it allows us to look beyond
fear towards the Last Judgment.

In his 2nd encyclical Spe Salvi (Saved in Hope) Pope Benedict XV affirms that
the current faith in scientific progress and contesting of Gods existence based
on the injustices of this world, are incapable of giving a true answer to mans
questions on the future. Hope is learned and exercised in places of Prayer,
action, sufferance and waiting for Gods Judgment. (
Asia News11-30-07)

Over the next 7 weeks this new encyclical will be provided in its entirety, but
in several parts to encourage those, who might not otherwise take the time to
read it, to ponder the mystery of Hope in Gods Plan of salvation. Release 2:

Medjugorje Day By Day Feb 09 - The Rosary in Your Hands

Thanksgiving!
--------------
Jesus then took the loaves, and when He had given thanks, He distributed them to those who were seated; so also the fish, as much as they wanted. John 6:11
--------------------
"Eucharist" means "thanksgiving."  It is startling, in our age of hedonism, to think of a ritual commemoration of a brutal death on a cross as an occasion of thanksgiving.  Yet we do so because the Victim of that death insisted on it.  For Jesus, even His death, horrible as it was, was to be an occasion of celebration because of the joy it would ultimately given birth to in the resurrection.  And so the One who was about to offer His body on the Cross gave thanks for bread and declared "This is My body."  Today, give thanks!

"Give me, good Lord, a longing to be with Thee ... give me warmth, delight and quickness in thinking upon Thee.  And give me Thy grace to long for Thine holy Sacraments, and specially to rejoice in the presence of Thy very blessed Body, Sweet Saviour Christ, in the Holy Sacrament of the altar."  (St. Thomas More)

Mother Teresa   -

It takes humility to recognize the greatness of God shining through us. Boasting of our greatness before men is pride. Great humility arises when we recognize that it is God's kindness and His greatness that shows through our hands, our work, and our love because that is the simple truth.
Jesus is the Truth that must be shared.

Meditations by Padre Pio -

When you find yourself close to God in prayer, speak to Him if you can, and if you unable to do so stay this way. Let yourself be seen, and do not disturb yourself further.

Archbishop Fulton Sheen -

Pilgrimage toward the Ecstasy of Love

"Too many husbands and wives expect their partners in marriage to give what only God can give: eternal ecstasy. Yet if any man or woman could do that, he would be God. We are right to want the ecstasy of love; but if we expect to enjoy it through the flesh, which is merely on pilgrimage to God, we prepare ourselves for disappointment. The first ecstasy of love is not an illusion; but it is only a kind of travel folder, a foretaste, a preview, urging body and soul to start the journey towards eternal joys. If the first ecstasy passes, this change is not an invitation to love another person, but to love in another way - and the other way is Christ's way, the way of Him Who said: `I am the Way.'"

St. Faustina's diary

True love is measured by the thermometer of suffering. Jesus, I thank You for the little daily crosses, for opposition to my endeavors, for the hardships of communal life, for the misinterpretation of my intentions, for humiliations at the hands of others, for the harsh way in which we are treated, for false suspicions, for poor health and loss of strength, for self-denial, for dying to myself, for lack of recognition in everything, for the upsetting of all my plans.

Thank You, Jesus, for interior sufferings, for dryness of spirit, for terrors, fears and incertitude's, for the darkness and the deep interior night, for temptations and various ordeals, for torments too difficult to describe, especially for those which no one will understand, for the hour of death with its fierce struggle and all its bitterness.

I thank You, Jesus, You who first drank the cup of bitterness before You gave it to me, in a much milder form. I put my lips to this cup of Your holy will. Let all be done according to Your good pleasure; let that which Your wisdom ordained before the ages be done to me. I want to drink the cup to its last drop, and not seek to know the reason why. In bitterness is my joy, in hopelessness is my trust. In You, O Lord, all is good, all is a gift of Your paternal Heart. I do not prefer consolations over bitterness or bitterness over consolations, but thank You, O Jesus, for everything! It is my delight to fix my gaze upon You, O incomprehensible God!...

O Uncreated Beauty, whoever comes to know You once cannot love anything else. I can feel the bottomless abyss of my soul, and nothing will fill it but God himself. I feel that I am drowned in Him like a single grain of sand in a bottomless ocean.       (343)

  MEDJUGORJE DAY BY DAY

These thoughts for a day are taken from a daily meditation book based on the Messages of Our Lady of Medjugorje by Father Richard J. Beyer, Ave Maria Press.

FEB 9 - THE ROSARY IN YOUR HANDS

Today the Mother of God speaks of love and the rosary:

May the love of God always be within you, for without it you cannot be fully converted. Let the rosary in your hands make you think of Jesus (Locutionist Jelena & Mirjana June 1, 1984).

After Christ's resurrection, his Mother and the apostles often met in prayer in the legendary upper room :

When they had entered the city, they went to the room upstairs where they were staying…All these were constantly devoting themselves to prayer, together with certain women, including Mary the mother of Jesus, as well as his brothers (Acts 1 :13-14).

Reflection:

Not surprisingly, sacred scripture places the same emphasis on prayer as Our Lady does in her messages at Medjugorje.

Her message today to, "Let the rosary in your hands make you think of Jesus," calls to mind the special "Rosary of Jesus" that she asked Jelena and her prayer group to offer. Dictated to her by the Virgin, each of the seven mysteries has the following format :

1) Announcement of the mystery; 2) Announcement of the prayer intention; 3) Quiet reflection on the mystery and then a spontaneous prayer from the heart; 4) Five Our Fathers; 5) and last, the phrase : "O Jesus, be our strength and protection." The following are the mysteries and prayer intentions :

FIRST MYSTERY :

The birth of Christ .

Prayer intention : for peace in the world

SECOND MYSTERY :

The compassion and love Jesus for the poor and afflicted

Prayer intention : For the Holy Father and the bishops

THIRD MYSTERY :

The trust of Jesus for his Father and the performance of his will

Prayer intention : For priests, religious, and all who are consecrated to God in a special way

FOURTH MYSTERY :

Jesus willingly came to earth, suffered and died, because of his great love for us.

Prayer intention : For families, parents, and their children.

FIFTH MYSTERY :

Jesus gave his life as a sacrifice for us

Prayer intention : That we too will be capable of offering our lives for others

SIXTH MYSTERY :

The resurrection of Jesus his victory over Satan and death

Prayer intention : For the elimination of all sin in our lives so that Jesus may relive in our hearts.

SEVENTH MYSTERY :

The Ascension of Jesus to heaven

Prayer intention : For the triumph of God's will, and that we may always be open to his will in our own lives

CONCLUSION :

Jesus sends forth the Holy Spirit

Prayer intention : That the Spirit may descend upon us

Seven Glory Be's

Verse or refrain from a suitable hymn.

Application :

Pray the "Rosary of Jesus" for the next several days to familiarize yourself with it.

Message From Jesus Thru Lec - February 8, 2008

From Jesus of
Nazareth

Let me take this opportunity to thank those of you who have previously responded

Message Reception Ended :
7:05 AM Duration: 5 Minutes Scripture Reference:

Medjugorje Day By Day Feb 08 - HELP PEACE TO REIGN

Hard Sayings!

Many of His disciples, when they heard it, said, "This is a hard saying; who can listen to it?" John 6:60

The Eucharist is one of the greatest offences to the world.  When Jesus told His hearers that they must eat His flesh and drink His blood, the response was immediate: they left.  Jesus was left with a small group of dazed followers who couldn't imagine what He was talking about.
It's often the same today.  The Gospel proposes all sorts of hard sayings to us and then says, as Jesus did, "Are you going to leave Me too?"  It really does ask us to render a judgment, to make a choice.  The Gospel does this, not to push our buttons or play with our heads, but because the Gospel really does claim to be a statement about the nature of reality - about what is, not what we would necessarily like.
Jesus taught that we must eat His flesh and drink His blood, not because He knew that would really irk people and He enjoyed that, but because we do in fact need the remedy of the Eucharist and we do in fact have to share in Christ's Risen Life if we are to have life in us.
Today, thank Jesus for speaking the hard truth even when it cost Him friends.  Because of His courage, we have life!

Meditations by Padre Pio

God can reject everything in a creature conceived in sin and which bears the
indelible impression inherited from Adam. But He absolutely cannot reject the sincere desire to love Him.

Pope John Paul II -

Mother Teresa wrote in her own hand to Denis Nolan April 8 1992
"We are all praying one Hail Mary before Holy Mass to Our Lady of Medjugorje."

Medjugorje and the Church, Sr Emmanuel & Denis Nolan p 18

Mother Teresa -

All glory and honor are His.
We must let Jesus use us as He sees fit.

Meditations by Padre Pio -
This manner of staying in the presence of God simply to protest, with one's will, that we ourselves are His servants, is most holy and most excellent, most pure and extremely perfect

Archbishop Fulton Sheen -
Healing takes a good doctor!
"The vocation of a doctor may have been very much underrated. His ideal is not just to cure a patient of neuralgia or phobias, but also to be at one and the same time an educator, a politician, a man of God, a philosopher and a theologian, not in the sense that he takes over completely any of these functions, but rather that he recognizes that every sick person in the world has, to some extent, a combination of three disorders: physical, psychic and spiritual."

MEDJUGORJE DAY BY DAY

These thoughts for a day are taken from a daily meditation book based on the Messages of Our Lady of Medjugorje by Father Richard J. Beyer, Ave Maria Press.

Feb 8 - HELP PEACE TO REIGN
The Mother of God speaks of peace today :
Dear children, today I call you to pray especially for
peace. Dear children, without peace you cannot truly experience the birth of Jesus in your daily lives. Therefore, pray to the Lord of Peace that he will protect you with his mantle, and that he may help you understand how important it is to have a great peace in your hearts. Having this, you will be able to spread the peace of your hearts throughout the world. I am always with you and intercede to God for you.
Pray, for Satan wants to destroy my plans for peace. Be reconciled with each other and , by your lives, help peace to reign over the entire earth (Monthly Message December 25, 1990).
Isaiah prophesies of peace in this well-known passage :
He shall judge between the nations, and shall arbitrate for many peoples; they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
Isaiah 2 :4
Reflection :
One of the key messages of Medjugorje is that peace begins in the individual heart, and then spreads to the family, the workplace, the local community, and then to the world. Years before Medjugorje apparitions, Pope Paul VI spoke of peace in words that could easily have come from Our Lady :
Peace demands a mentality and a spirit which, before turning to others, must first permeate him who wishes to bring peace. Peace is first and foremost personal before it is social. And it is precisely this spirit of peace which it is the duty of every true follower of Christ to cultivate.
The fall of the Berlin Wall, the liberation of Eastern
Europe, the demise of Communism in Russia all were miracles of peace wrought by the Mother of God and her children which began with peace in a few individual hearts.
Application :
Today, pray simply for peace of mind, heart, and soul.

Message to Gianna Sullivan Feb. 8,2008

The Words of God the Father

through Gianna Sullivan

To the World

February 8, 2008

Children of Humanity,

Blessings and grace to you! Receive and cooperate with this grace.

You act as if you know so much of the future's events and what is needed for
change; but truly, within yourselves, you do not! No one knows the future
events or what really needs to be changed other than Myself, your Father.

You have been welcomed, invited and encouraged to unite in harmony, not to live
in division; to live in ways of good moral values and ethics; and to slay your
vices and silence your anger. And yet, so many of you pass this off and do not
believe that My Words are for you.

It is better to believe than to doubt; for once you doubt, you allow forces to
enter that will betray you and deceive you. If you doubt, then the enemy can
overpower you, as has happened throughout history, even to my beloved ones. In
times of war with the Philistines, when my beloved ones were to protect my Ark,
they doubted and were overthrown. And yes, the Ark went into the hands of the
enemy.

(Sam 4:1-11)

You must believe and live your faith, for the Truth will be revealed. Guard
yourself in My Truth and be confident, so you will be able to be protected in
all ways.

John of God - Reflection by Father Ted

John of God - Reflection by Father Ted

Reflection by Father Ted February 4, 2008

edmundshipp@...

My dearest Lord Jesus, in this morning's gospel [Mk 5:1-20] You reminded us of
the deep love that you have for all people even those who have been possessed by
the evil one.

You came to the territory of the Gerasenes because You wanted to free this man
who had been possessed by Legion and through him to bring Your merciful love to
members of his family and others who lived in the Decapolis.

How he became possessed, I do not know.

That he was miserable, I do know. For Your evangelist, Saint Mark tells us so
every night and day he was crying out and bruising himself.

That these evil spirits are quite harmful You pointed out for us when You
allowed them to enter into the pigs. For those swine, 2 thousand of them, after
the spirits had entered them, rushed over the cliff and into the sea - where
they drowned.

These same evil spirits are striving to destroy us even today.

They may not possess us, like they did that man under the influence of Legion.
But their aim is the same to prevent us from experiencing Your tremendous love
and ultimately to join them forever in their home - hell.

If we have experienced that love they strive to persuade us to forego our
relationship with You - for some temporal pleasure.

This coming Sunday, You remind us that You too were tempted by the devil. In
fact he tried every possible way to con You. But You were prepared for his
attacks.

That is why, after Your baptism by John the Baptist in the Jordan, the Holy
Spirit lead You out into the desert where You spent 40 days and nights in prayer
and in fasting.

You spent this time in prayer and in fasting to get ready for his assaults.

You did this to show us how to be able to resist the devils attacks on us.

For when we pray as You exhort us to do, we will be able to not only discern
that he is tempting us but also obtain the grace from You, many times through
the intercession of Mary and other saints, to resist his temptations.

You want us to pray every day. You want us to deny ourselves every day. You want
us to fast often.

You want us to do these so that we can overcome these many attacks of Satan and
his associates. And in the process, become the saintly men, women, boys and
girls that Your Father desires.

May we do all that You ask of us so that we will resist all his temptations and
become the holy ones You have called us to be.

Message #3038 to little Mary - December 3, 2007

God loves all His children, but do His children truly love Him?"

MESSAGE #3038 from the Blessed Mother December 3, 2007

My daughter, God loves all His children, but do His children truly love Him?

Please, dear children, be grateful for the many blessings God has given each of
you. Be grateful and give all honor and glory to God. Begin today and adore My
Son. Spend time with Jesus and pray, pray more. Abandon yourself to His Will.

I am asking that you listen to my heavenly plea and prepare your soul.
Seek the Kingdom of God and choose the path that will lead you to Heaven.
Accept God's grace so you come to know His love for you. Respond to God's
loving call and you will truly become strong soldiers for Christ. Through your
response, you will repent and amend your ways.

Now, please trust in God's love and mercy. Trust and believe and He will truly
teach you His way to holiness. Amen.

Message From the Father February 8, 2008
6:40 AM

Son, let me make myself clear to you! No one in this life is perfect based on
my standards but a certain degree of spiritual maturity is attainable. Based on
a person's spiritual maturity hinges the level or degree of clarity of my
presence. The higher a soul ascends, the more the soul understands me and my
ways, the more I am heard, the more I reveal my secrets.

No one is worthy but my Son Jesus did it for you. His death on the cross is
never in vain.

Go in peace!

Message to

Gianna Sullivan

Feb. 8,2008

The Words of

God the Father

through Gianna

Sullivan

To the World

February 8, 2008

Children of

Humanity,

Blessings and

grace to you!

Receive and

cooperate with

this grace.

You act as if you

know so much of

the future's

events and what

is needed for
change; but

truly, within

yourselves, you

do not! No one

knows the future
events or what

really needs to

be changed other

than Myself, your

Father.

You have been

welcomed,

invited and

encouraged to

unite in

harmony, not to

live
in division; to

live in ways of

good moral

values and

ethics; and to

slay your
vices and silence

your anger. And

yet, so many of

you pass this off

and do not
believe that My

Words are for

you.

It is better to

believe than to

doubt; for once

you doubt, you

allow forces to
enter that will

betray you and

deceive you. If

you doubt, then

the enemy can
overpower you,

as has happened

throughout

history, even to

my beloved

ones. In
times of war with

the Philistines,

when my beloved

ones were to

protect my Ark,
they doubted

and were

overthrown. And

yes, the Ark

went into the

hands of the
enemy.

(Sam 4:1-11)

You must believe

and live your

faith, for the

Truth will be

revealed. Guard
yourself in My

Truth and be

confident, so you

will be able to be

protected in
all ways.

Peace. Do not

receive my

blessings in vain.

HELP PEACE TO

REIGN

Hard Sayings!

Many of His

disciples, when

they heard it,

said, "This is a

hard saying; who

can listen to it?"

John 6:60

   The Eucharist

is one of the

greatest offences

to the world.

When Jesus told

His hearers that

they must eat

His flesh and

drink His blood,

the response was

immediate: they

left.  Jesus was

left with a small

group of dazed

followers who

couldn't imagine

what He was

talking about.
   It's often the

same today.  The

Gospel proposes

all sorts of hard

sayings to us and

then says, as

Jesus did, "Are

you going to

leave Me too?"

It really does ask

us to render a

judgment, to

make a choice.

The Gospel does

this, not to push

our buttons or

play with our

heads, but

because the

Gospel really

does claim to be

a statement

about the nature

of reality - about

what is, not what

we would

necessarily like.
   Jesus taught

that we must eat

His flesh and

drink His blood,

not because He

knew that would

really irk people

and He enjoyed

that, but

because we do in

fact need the

remedy of the

Eucharist and we

do in fact have to

share in Christ's

Risen Life if we

are to have life in

us.
   Today, thank

Jesus for

speaking the

hard truth even

when it cost Him

friends.  Because

of His courage,

we have life!

Meditations by

Padre Pio

God can reject

everything in a

creature

conceived in sin

and which bears

the
indelible

impression

inherited from

Adam. But He

absolutely

cannot reject the

sincere desire to

love Him.
Pope John Paul II

-

Mother Teresa

wrote in her own

hand to Denis

Nolan April 8

1992
"We are all

praying one Hail

Mary before Holy

Mass to Our Lady

of Medjugorje."

Medjugorje and

the Church, Sr

Emmanuel &

Mother Teresa -

All glory and

honor are His.
We must let

Jesus use us as

He sees fit.

Meditations by

Padre Pio -
This manner of

staying in the

presence of God

simply to

protest, with

one's will, that

we ourselves are

His servants, is

most holy and

most excellent,

most pure and

extremely

perfect

Archbishop

Fulton Sheen -
Healing takes a

good doctor!
"The vocation of

a doctor may

have been very

much

underrated. His

ideal is not just

to cure a patient

of neuralgia or

phobias, but also

to be at one and

the same time an

educator, a

politician, a man

of God, a

philosopher and

a theologian, not

in the sense that

he takes over

completely any

of these

functions, but

rather that he

recognizes that

every sick

person in the

world has, to

some extent, a

combination of

three disorders:

physical, psychic

and spiritual."

Feb 8 - HELP

PEACE TO REIGN
The Mother of

God speaks of

peace today :
Dear children,

today I call you

to pray

especially for
peace. Dear

children, without

peace you cannot

truly experience

the birth of Jesus

in your daily

lives. Therefore,

pray to the Lord

of Peace that he

will protect you

with his mantle,

and that he may

help you

understand how

important it is to

have a great

peace in your

hearts. Having

this, you will be

able to spread

the peace of your

hearts

throughout the

world. I am

always with you

and intercede to

God for you.
Pray, for Satan

wants to destroy

my plans for

peace. Be

reconciled with

each other and ,

by your lives,

help peace to

reign over the

entire earth

(Monthly

Message

December 25,

1990).
Isaiah prophesies

of peace in this

well-known

passage :
He shall judge

between the

nations, and

shall arbitrate for

many peoples;

they shall beat

their swords into

plowshares, and

their spears into

pruning hooks;

Nation shall not

lift up sword

against nation,

neither shall they

learn war any

more.
Isaiah 2 :4
Reflection :
One of the key

messages of

Medjugorje is

that peace

begins in the

individual heart,

and then spreads

to the family, the

workplace, the

local community,

and then to the

world. Years

before

Medjugorje

apparitions, Pope

Paul VI spoke of

peace in words

that could easily

have come from

Our Lady :
Peace demands a

mentality and a

spirit which,

before turning to

others, must first

permeate him

who wishes to

bring peace.

Peace is first and

foremost

personal before

it is social. And it

is precisely this

spirit of peace

which it is the

duty of every

true follower of

Christ to

cultivate.
The fall of the

Berlin Wall, the

liberation of

Eastern
Europe, the

demise of

Communism in

Russia all were

miracles of peace

wrought by the

Mother of God

and her children

which began with

peace in a few

individual hearts.
Application :
Today, pray

simply for peace

of mind, heart,

and soul.

Reflection by

Father Ted

February 4, 2008

edmundshipp@..

.

My dearest Lord

Jesus, in this

morning's gospel

[Mk 5:1-20] You

reminded us of
the deep love

that you have for

all people even

those who have

been possessed

by
the evil one.

You came to the

territory of the

Gerasenes

because You

wanted to free

this man
who had been

possessed by

Legion and

through him to

bring Your

merciful love to
members of his

family and others

who lived in the

Decapolis.

How he became

possessed, I do

not know.

That he was

miserable, I do

know. For Your

evangelist, Saint

Mark tells us so
every night and

day he was

crying out and

bruising himself.

That these evil

spirits are quite

harmful You

pointed out for

us when You
allowed them to

enter into the

pigs. For those

swine, 2

thousand of

them, after
the spirits had

entered them,

rushed over the

cliff and into the

sea - where
they drowned.

These same evil

spirits are

striving to

destroy us even

today.

They may not

possess us, like

they did that

man under the

influence of

Legion.
But their aim is

the same to

prevent us from

experiencing

Your tremendous

love
and ultimately to

join them forever

in their home -

hell.

If we have

experienced that

love they strive

to persuade us to

forego our
relationship with

You - for some

temporal

pleasure.

This coming

Sunday, You

remind us that

You too were

tempted by the

devil. In
fact he tried

every possible

way to con You.

But You were

prepared for his
attacks.

That is why,

after Your

baptism by John

the Baptist in the

Jordan, the Holy
Spirit lead You

out into the

desert where You

spent 40 days

and nights in

prayer
and in fasting.

You spent this

time in prayer

and in fasting to

get ready for his

assaults.

You did this to

show us how to

be able to resist

the devils

attacks on us.

For when we

pray as You

exhort us to do,

we will be able to

not only discern
that he is

tempting us but

also obtain the

grace from You,

many times

through
the intercession

of Mary and

other saints, to

resist his

temptations.

You want us to

pray every day.

You want us to

deny ourselves

every day. You

want
us to fast often.

You want us to

do these so that

we can overcome

these many

attacks of Satan

and
his associates.

And in the

process, become

the saintly men,

women, boys

and
girls that Your

Father desires.

May we do all

that You ask of

us so that we will

resist all his

temptations and
become the holy

ones You have

called us to be.

Abandon yourself

I am asking that

2nd Message to Louise Feb. 6,2008

Supercritical! 2nd Message via L., V+J

February 6, 2008- - -12:35 A.M.

ASH WEDNESDAY!

L. began to receive a message from God and said, "Jesus, please cover me with Your Most Precious Blood." (and other various prayers of testing the spirits)

Then your God spoke, "Soon U.S.A. will vote for a new president. It will begin a new and very Godless, sinful, era.

My true and faithful, tiny remnant will suffer much. Most of the candidates will allow abortion, same sex unions and promote One World banking, religion and

government.

They (your new government) will advocate the use of the chip in everyone and every animal. Yes, people will flock to receive the chip. It will

be all 'New Age'!

Satan IS READY AND EAGERLY WAITING to step in for complete control. You will see and witness events as never seen before. You will be under complete

control, if you accept the chip FREELY, of satan's evil power. You will walk the wide road of sinful pleasure which leads directly to Hell!

These are the last days of your freedom of religion, of speech, from hunger, freedom from fear. All freedom will be snatched from you!

Amen dear remnant, fear not for if you trust Me, follow Me, obey Me, love Me and refuse the 'mark of the beast' AND pray, I promise NEVER to leave you.

This IS THE WORD OF GOD! Amen, My word IS true and ALL WILL BE - -VERY, VERY SOON! Amen!"

Message to Gianna Sullivan Feb.3, 2008

Public Message

Our Lady of Emmitsburg To the World through Gianna Sullivan

February 3, 2008

Little children, praised be Jesus!

Little ones, your salvation involves cooperation on your part. It is so necessary for you to be humble and kind. My Son gave His Life, and He is your

salvation. However, He also invites you to live in Him, and to be Him.

To be Him, you must be humble. You cannot be filled with pride, all-knowing and righteous; for that was the way of the Pharisees. They believed they knew the truth, but they did not believe in the Truth.

On your walk with my Son, there are many gifts to behold, many graces I am allowed to dispense. You must be Jesus; and to be Jesus, you must receive His graces with humility and kindness and with love.

You are entering a season (Lent), one that can change your life forever. Do not wait till it is too late to change. You should be preparing now, so that at the end of the season you do not say, Well, there is another year.

The time is now to give of yourself, to heal relationships, to be more loving, to seek what is the Truth in my Son, and to be a light of joy, mercy and love.

This takes preparation. You cannot live as if another day is there at your beckoning call. You must live today as if it were your last, and its beginning--a new life.

Ponder my words; and know how much I love you, and how grateful I am for your willingness to listen and to hear words from Heaven. I thank God above for allowing me to be here with you.

Many have desired to receive what you have received, to hear what you have heard, and to see what you have seen. Now for what has been given to you, much more is expected of you.

Do not allow another day to go by without you working and cooperating to change interiorly and without you following Gods Divine Will.

Peace to you, for that is what God desires, peace! You can make the change, and this world can be different. Prevent evil from allowing you to think

bad of others or to judge others. Look at the weakness of all humanity, and desire to be like my Son.

I bless you and take all of your petitions to my most Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart, which shields the blows of the sword that are given to you. I absorb

them, and I am here to comfort you. Thank you for your response to my call.

Reflection by Fr. John B. Wang

In this message, Blessed Mother discusses our salvation. She reminds us that Jesus alone is our Salvation.

To be saved, we must become like Him. Our Mother especially singles out the importance of the virtues: love, kindness and humility. Jesus is Love, Infinite Kindness and Sublime Humility. We remember

that some of Jesus enemies, the Pharisees, were the very opposite, filled with pride and self-righteousness.

Such vices paralyze the souls ability to be open to Gods saving power.

We are also reminded by our Mother that Lent is a propitious time for change.

This period of forty days dedicated to prayer, penance and almsgiving will open pathways to healing in relationships, help us to find the Truth in Jesus, and make us less self-centered and judgmental so that we can be God’s light of joy for the world.

Let us, therefore, make good use of these

salubrious Lenten practices.

Medjugorje Day By Day Feb 07 - FAMILIES NEED TO PRAY TODAY

"The Power of One Hail Mary can change the world. In all our efforts and
endeavors, we can never underestimate the power of prayer, and must always rely upon the help of God. In a special way we commend our efforts to the Mother of God and our own Blessed Mother.

The Rosary, especially prayed in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament, is a powerful means of spiritual grace. In all of our efforts to promote the sanctity of human life, prayer is our first and strongest resource. May we rely upon the power of our Lord's presence in the Blessed Sacrament and the intercession of His Blessed Mother to guide and help us in fostering a greater respect for human life and an end to abortion in our
society" (Bishop Thomas Daily).

"The secret of this spiritual ardor is the Eucharist, the inexhaustible source of faithfulness to the Gospel, because in this Sacrament, the heart of ecclesial life, we achieve intimate identification and total  conformity with Christ, to whom consecrated men and women are called."  (Pope John Paul II, February 3, 2005)

Meditations by Padre Pio

In order to reach our final goal, we must follow our Divine Leader who usually leads chosen Souls by the path He Himself has trodden and by no other; by the path, I tell you, of self-denial and suffering.
Pope John Paul II -

Mother Teresa  -
God wants our will and our desire to be
for him, for our family, for our children,
for our brethren, and for the poor.

Meditations by Padre Pio -
If you can speak to the Lord, do so, praise Him, pray to Him, listen to Him. If you are unable to speak due to your clumsiness, don't worry. In the ways of the Lord, stop in your room, like the courtesans, and pay Him homage. He, who will see this, will be pleased with your patience, will favor your silence, and on another occasion you will be consoled.

 Archbishop Fulton Sheen -
Surrendering morality will be our downfall!
"At present two currents manifest themselves in our American way of life: one is in the direction of a great development of moral character both in individuals and in the nation; the other is toward the surrender of morality and responsibility through a socialist state in which there will be no morality but state-morality, no conscience but state-conscience. Of the two the first is by far the stronger, though neither politics nor economics has seen it."

St. Faustina's diary
Once when I was suffering greatly, I left my work and escaped to Jesus and asked Him to give me His strength. After a very short prayer I returned to my work filled with enthusiasm and joy. Then, one of the sisters [probably Sister Justine] said to me, "You must have many consolations today, Sister; you look so radiant. Surely, God is giving you no suffering, but only consolations."

"You are greatly mistaken, Sister," I answered, "for it is precisely when I suffer much that my joy is greater; and when I suffer less, my joy also is less." However, that soul was letting me recognize that she does not understand what I was saying.

I tried to explain to her that when we suffer much we have a great chance to show God that we love Him; but when we suffer little we have less occasion to show God our love; and when we do not suffer at all, our love is then neither great nor pure. By the grace of God, we can attain a point where suffering will become a delight to us, for love can work such things in pure souls.       (303b)

MEDJUGORJE DAY BY DAY
These thoughts for a day are taken from a daily meditation book based on the Messages of Our Lady of Medjugorje by Father Richard J. Beyer, Ave Maria Press.

Feb 7 - FAMILIES NEED TO PRAY TODAY

Speaking of the family to Ivan's prayer group, Our Lady said :
Dear children, tonight your Mother wishes to call you, as I have before, to renew prayer in the family. Dear children, families need to pray today. It is my wish, dear children, that you would live my messages through family prayer (Visionary Prayer Group January 1, 1990).

St. Paul also speaks of the family, specifically, of husband and wives :
"For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two will become one flesh. " This is a great mystery, and I am applying it to Christ and the church. Each of you, however, should love his wife as himself, and a wife should respect her husband (Eph 5 :31-33).

Reflection :
There has never been a time when the institution of marriage has been threatened more. With a divorce rate of over 50%, a culture that denigrates commitment, and a prevailing atmosphere of narcissism, the support beams of marriage appear to have fallen away. But Our Lady gives us a simple yet profound remedy in family prayer. When the presence and nurtured by the hand of God himself, and is no longer dependent on solely human factors.

Application :

If you are married, the initiative to talk with your spouse about a prayer time together. You can begin, perhaps, by offering the following Marriage Prayer : Lord Jesus, grant that we may have a true and understanding love for each other. Grant that we may both be filled with faith and trust. Grant that we may both be filled with faith and trust. Give us the grace to live with each other's strengths. Help us to forgive one another's failings, and grant us patience, kindness, cheerfulness, and the spirit of placing the well-being of one another ahead of self.

May the love that brought us together grow and mature with each passing year. Bring us both ever closer to you through our love for each other. Let our love grow to perfection. Amen.

Message via L., V+J
February 5, 2008- - -10:40 A.M.

L. began to receive a message from St. Peter, and said, "Jesus, please cover me with Your Most Precious Blood."

"People of the world, hear me. I am your first Pope, Peter, chosen by God, Jesus, assisted by Mary, to spread Jesus' word around the world. His Church's foundation is built on a Rock, I am that Rock.

Priests today do not vow poverty, chastity, obedience with celebacy to our God. The majority want all that the world offers and priesthood too. You cannot have both! Each is a full time job that requires your full attention, all your love, all your strength.
I gave my all to set a firm foundation for what is called 'The One, Holy, Catholic, Apostolic Church'. The Apostles and I went out to teach you the TRUE word of Jesus Christ that we were taught by Him.

Many priests today DO NOT believe in transubstantiation! Even the Commandments are ignored. Oh, what they have to answer for before God!
You men have a great responsibility. Fulfill your mission! Life is short!
ETERNITY IS FOREVER! Give your life to God! Live your life for God! Lead your flock!

Heaven or Hell is your final reward. Choose one!

"All the sacraments, O Jesus, and especially this sacrament of the Eucharist, flow forth from your loving heart.  I wish I could give you as much honor and glory as you give your Father in this divine mystery.  I know you love me now with the same degree of love that compelled you to die on the cross for me.

Tears of salvation!
"Even in their early failures, the parents are not to be discouraged, remembering that fifteen centuries ago when the heart of a mother was broken for her wanton boy, St. Ambrose said to her: `Fear not, Monica; the child of so many tears cannot perish.' That vain and wanton boy grew up to be the great and learned St. Augustine, whose Confessions everyone ought to read before he dies."

St. Faustina's diary

Jesus told me that I please Him best by meditating on His sorrowful Passion, and by such meditation much light falls upon my soul. He who wants to learn true humility should reflect upon the Passion of Jesus. When I meditate upon the Passion of Jesus, I get a clear understanding of many things I could not comprehend before. I want to resemble You, O Jesus,-You crucified, tortured, and humiliated. Jesus, imprint upon my heart and soul Your own humility. I love You, Jesus, to the point of madness, You who were crushed with suffering as described by the prophet [cf. Isaiah 53:2-9], as if he could not see the human form in You because of Your great suffering. It is in this condition, Jesus, that I love You to the point of madness. O eternal and infinite God, what has love done to You?...       (267)

When Jesus ravished me by His beauty and drew me to Himself, I then saw what in my soul was displeasing to Him and made up my mind to remove it, cost what it may; and aided by the grace of God I did remove it at once. This magnanimity pleased the Lord, and from that moment God started granting me higher graces. In my interior life I never reason; I do not analyze the ways in which God's Spirit leads me. It is enough for me to know that I am loved and that I love. Pure love enables me to know God and understand many mysteries.       (293)

MEDJUGORJE DAY BY DAY

These thoughts for a day are taken from a daily meditation book based on the Messages of Our Lady of Medjugorje by Father Richard J. Beyer, Ave Maria Press.

Feb 5 - CHARITY CANNOT REPLACE FASTING

Our Lady speaks of something very important to her:
"The best fast is on bread and water. Through fasting and prayer, one can stop wars, one can suspend the laws of nature. Charity cannot replace fasting. Those who are not able to fast can sometimes replace it with prayer, charity, and a confession; but everyone, except the sick, must fast. (First Years Message July 21,1982)

In Matthew's gospel, Jesus answers a question on fasting: Then the disciples of John came to him, saying, "Why do we and the Pharisees fast often, but your disciples do not fast?" And Jesus said to them, "The wedding guests cannot mourn as long as the bridegroom is with them, can they? But the days will come when the bridegroom will no longer be with them, and then they will fast" (Mt 9:14-15)

Reflection:

As we await the second coming of the bridegroom, we are now in that perilous time when it is proper to fast. Since the seers of Medjugorje have been advised on fasting by Our Lady, it would be wise to hear their views.
When asked the purpose of fasting, Vicka responded:
"Through fasting we purify our hearts. In order to have a pure heart, we need the grace that comes from fasting. And when we totally cleanse our hearts, we are able to realize the Blessed Mother's plan, and what she is expecting from us.
Concerning problems we may encounter in fasting, Vicka advises:
The first time is always the most difficult. When we try to fast, Satan tries hard to distract us, to make us think, "Well, I could eat a little something extra." We have to pray hard this first time, really hard. When we pray and when we fast, Satan can do nothing to us. The second time will be easier, and the third time even easier. Then it will become natural.

Application:

Make a commitment in prayer to fast this Friday. If it is your first time, be sure to set aside extra time for prayer to ward off diversions by the Evil One.

WHEN I visited former Yugoslavia just over a year ago, I was taken to a little make-shift village where war refugees were living. They came there by rail-car, fleeing the devastating bombs and bullets which still mark many of the apartments and businesses of Bosnia’s cities and towns.

Even though the war has been over for several years, these refugees are still living in these little shacks, put together with various board and metal scraps, with dangerous asbestos roofs… and children playing in and around them. For doors and window coverings, many families only had curtains—not much protection against a cold winter day.

Without social assistance, these families are doing what they can to survive. And a little nun from England is doing what she can to help. Sr. Josephine Walsh started a project called "Housing Aid Bosnia." With the donations she’s receiving, she’s building homes, one at time, for these destitute families.

When I was there, I put on an impromptu concert for the village. I had a chance to share with them, especially the teenagers, the Gospel message. I told them that, though they were poor, North American kids were often much poorer because they have everything, except in many souls, Jesus. When it was time to leave, the village gathered round, and I promised them that I would tell my readers about their dire situation.

I recently found the contact information for Sr. Josephine which I had misplaced. I phoned her in January, and she said the need there is more desperate than ever.

Pray about it. If you can give, here is the address below to which you can mail a donation (in US or Canadian currency). Also… is there anyone out there able to take this project under their wing? A businessman, or philanthropist?

God bless you, and thank you for letting me ask this of you. I won’t do this often here (other than begging every blue moon for my own minstry’s needs):

USE YOUR GIFTS WISELY

WHEN YOU SEEM TO LOSE ALL AND THEN GAIN IT BACK,
DO YOU THANK GOD FOR YOUR BLESSINGS OR AGAIN BECOME SLACK?
GOD GAVE YOU, DEAR CHILDREN, ALL THAT YOU POSSESS,
BUT SOMETIMES TOO MUCH SPOILS YOU, SO YOU NEED TO HAVE LESS.

WHEN THE GIFTS YOU RECEIVED YOU BEGIN TO ADORE,
GOD WILL TAKE THEM BACK FROM YOU BECAUSE YOU FORGOT WHAT THEY'RE FOR
IF AT TIMES YOU HAD MORE THAN YOU REALLY DID NEED,
GOD EXPECTED YOU, CHILDREN, STARVING SOULS TO HELP FEED.

MY SON GAVE MANKIND THE BEST GIFT THAT HE HAD;
CAN ANYONE POSSIBLY TO THIS GREATEST GIFT ADD?
HE SACRIFICED ALL THAT TO HIM HAD BEEN GIVEN
SO YOUR SOUL COULD BE SAVED WHEN YOUR SINS ARE FORGIVEN.

GOD, MY DEAR CHILDREN, WILL NOT BE OUTDONE;
THAT IS WHY HE GAVE MANKIND THE GIFT OF HIS SON.
USE WISELY, DEAR CHILDREN, ALL THAT GOD TO YOU GAVE,
AND PERHAPS YOU MAY ALSO HELP ONE MORE SOUL TO SAVE.

Medjugorje Day By Day Feb 05 - CHARITY CANNOT REPLACE FASTING

After our affections have been moved in prayer, we need not multiply considerations, but stop a little and dwell upon those already made; then from time to time, say to Our Lord some word of compunction, love or resignation, according as we feel ourselves inclined. This is the best kind of prayer. -- St. Jane Frances de Chantal (BC Catholic)

"All the sacraments, O Jesus, and especially this sacrament of the Eucharist, flow forth from your loving heart.  I wish I could give you as much honor and glory as you give your Father in this divine mystery.  I know you love me now with the same degree of love that compelled you to die on the cross for me.
Divine Heart, introduce yourself to those who do not know you....  I adore
you, I thank you, I love you, with every soul who loves you at this  moment." (St. Alphonsus Liguori)

Mother Teresa  -

Real prayer is union with God, a union as vital as that of the vine and the branches, which is the illustration Jesus gives us in the Gospel of John.
We need prayer.
We need that union to produce good fruit.

Medjugorje Day By Day Feb 01 - PRAY FOR THE HOLY SPIRIT

God remembers His promises.  Delay is not denial.
Let people know about Medjugorje through

Mother Teresa -

It is possible that I may not be able to keep my attention fully on God while I work, but God doesn't demand that I do so. Yet I can fully desire and intend that my work be done with Jesus and for Jesus.
This is beautiful and what God wants.

Meditations by Padre Pio -
Prayer is the effusion of our heart into God's… when it is well done, it moves the Divine Heart and makes Him always more inclined to grant our requests. Let us pour out our whole soul to God in prayer. He is captivated by our prayers and comes to our aid.

Archbishop Fulton Sheen -
Parenting can be God's kiln of kindness

"The duty of parents to children is to rule while avoiding exasperating severity on the one hand and excessive indulgences on the other. God gives parents a child as so much plastic material that can be molded for good or evil."

St. Faustina's diary At present, the topic of my particular examen is my union with the Merciful Christ. This practice gives me unusual strength; my heart is always united with the One it desires, and its actions are regulated by mercy, which flows from love.       (703)

Today I received a letter from Father Sopocko. I learned that he intends to publish a holy card of the Merciful Christ. He asked me to send him a certain prayer which he wants to put on the back, if he receives the Archbishop's approbation. Oh, what great joy fills my heart that God has let me see this work of His mercy! How great is this work of the Most High God! I am but His instrument. Oh, how ardently I desire to see this Feast of the Divine Mercy which God is demanding through me. But if it is the will of God that it be celebrated solemnly only after my death, even so I rejoice in it already, and I celebrate it interiorly with my confessor's permission.       (711)

MEDJUGORJE DAY BY DAY

Feb 1 -  PRAY FOR THE HOLY SPIRIT

Today Our Lady speaks of the Holy Spirit :

Dear children, during these days of the Pentecost novena, pray for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on your families and on your parish.

You will never regret prayer. God will give you the gifts by which you will glorify him until the end of your life on earth (Weekly Message June 2, 1984).

And in Galatians, Paul speaks of the Spirit's gifts :

Live by the Spirit, I say, and do not gratify the desires of the flesh. For what the flesh desires is opposed to the Spirit, and what the Spirit desires is opposed to the flesh; for these are opposed to each other, to prevent you from doing what you want. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not subject to the law (Gal 5 :16-18).

Reflection :

Echoing the Blessed Mother and St.Paul, Pope Leo XIII once wrote : "Each one of us greatly needs the protection and help of the Holy Spirit. The more one is lacking in wisdom, weak in strength, born down with trouble, prone to sin, the more he ought to fly to him who is the never-ceasing fount of light, strength, consolation, and holiness. "

With this encouragement, let us offer this prayer for the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit :

O Lord Jesus Christ, who, before ascending into heaven, did promise to send the Holy Spirit to finish your work in the souls of your apostles and disciples deign to grant the same Holy Spirit to me, to perfect in my soul the work of your grace and your love.

Grant me the Spirit of Wisdom, that I many not be attached to the perishable things of this world, but aspire only after the things that are eternal. The Spirit of Understanding, to enlighten my mind with the light of Your divine truth. The Spirit of Counsel, that I may ever choose the surest way of pleasing God and gaining heaven. The Spirit of Fortitude, that I may bear my cross with you, and that I may overcome with courage all the obstacles that oppose my salvation.

The Spirit of Knowledge, that I may know God and know myself, and grow perfect in the science of the saints. The Spirit of Piety, that I may find the service of God sweet and amiable.

The Spirit of Fear, that I may be filled with a loving reverence toward God and may avoid anything that may displease him. Mark me, dear Lord, with the sign of your true disciples, and animate me in all things with your Spirit. Amen.

Application :

Add to your daily prayers a petition for the gifts of the Holy Spirit, as Our Lady encourages us today.

Message From Jesus February 2, 2008

7:05 AM

Son, let me say a few words!

My eventual coming is near at hand. Signs will multiply that will unmistakably point to the fact that fulfillment of prophecy can no longer be denied. I wish to inform my children who patiently wait for my appearance not to slacken

anymore nor lose heart in what you hear but instead trust my words that what I say will be fulfilled.

Jesus King of All Nations to the littlest of His Servants

JESUS KING OF ALL NATIONS JUST JUDGE OF ALL PEOPLE February 3, 2008

I have warned MY people for many years to REPENT of their sins. They have ignored MY pleas and have continued to commit even more hideous sins. All of HEAVEN is filled with the stench that rises from the earth.

MY JUSTICE which has been delayed for so many years must now come. I will strike the nations of the earth repeatedly until evil has been extinguished forever.

MY JUSTICE is coming and when it starts it will not stop until the cleansing is complete.

This is MY FINAL PLEA to MY people. Come to ME and you shall have MY MERCY like never before in the history of the world, turn away from ME and you shall have MY JUSTICE like never before in the history of the world. It is up to each

person to decide. I WILL NOT FORCE YOU TO ACCEPT ME.

There is so little time. The shaking will start soon. The world and all its inhabitants will be brought to their knees. One blow of MY JUSTICE after another. MY children why do you ask for MY JUSTICE? I wish to give you MY MERCY but by your actions you cry for MY JUSTICE. AM I to do nothing as the stench of the filth of your conduct reaches HEAVEN crying out for MY JUSTICE. IT IS MY JUSTICE THAT YOU SHALL RECEIVE!!!

(JESUS seems to be shouting when HE said this). Will you recognize MY HAND in these natural events or will you continue to worship the god of nature by claiming that they are natural. I tell you and warn you that these events will

be so devastating that your pagans (scientists) will be unable to explain them.

REPENT for MY ARM of JUSTICE is falling. REPENT for millions will soon come before ME in JUDGMENT. REPENT for I AM is coming to restore the world to its original design, PARADISE.

REPENT confess your sins so I may forgive them. REPENT so you maybe ready for you know not the hour nor the day I will come for you. REPENT so you may join your SAVIOR forever in the HEAVENLY PARADISE. REPENT so MY MERCY can be poured out upon you. REPENT MY SACRED HEART BLEEDS to see so much sin. REPENT this is your last warning. Know that when these events happen you will know that I AM has begun HIS PURIFICATION. REPENT this is MY FINAL WORD TO YOU.

7:10 AM

Son, let me say something!

Dear children, your Mother wishes to greet you on this Day of the Presentation of My Son Jesus in the Temple. Candles lighted in my Son's honor bear witness to the symbol which my Son Jesus brought into the world. He is the light of the world. His words dispel the darkness that pervaded man's soul.

Please light a candle for him!

Presentation of Jesus at the Temple From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (Redirected from Candlemas)

The Presentation of Jesus at the Temple Presentation of Christ at the Temple by Hans Holbein the Elder, 1500-

1501 (Kunsthalle, Hamburg)

Observed by Anglicans Eastern Catholics Eastern Orthodox Lutherans Oriental Orthodox Roman Catholics Type Christian Date 2 February (Western Christianity) 2 February/15 February (Eastern Christianity)

The Feast of the Presentation of Jesus at the Temple celebrates an early episode in the life of Jesus, and falls on or around 2 February. In the Roman Catholic Church, the Presentation is the fourth Joyful Mystery of the Rosary. In the Eastern Orthodox Church, it is one of the twelve Great Feasts, and is sometimes called Hypapante (lit., 'Meeting'). In many Western liturgical churches, Vespers (or Compline) on the Feast of the Presentation marks the end of the Epiphany season. In the Church of England, the Presentation of Christ in the Temple is a Principal Feast celebrated either on 2 February or on the Sunday between 28 January and 3 February.

Scripture The event is described in the Gospel of Luke 2:22?40. According to the gospel, Mary and Joseph took the baby Jesus to the Temple in Jerusalem forty days after his birth to complete Mary's purification after childbirth, and to

perform the redemption of the firstborn, in obedience to Law of Moses (Leviticus 12, Exodus 13:12-15, etc.).

Upon bringing Jesus into the temple, the Holy Family encountered Simeon the Righteous. The Gospel records that Simeon had been promised that "he should not see death before he had seen the Messiah of the Lord." (Luke 2:26) Simeon prayed the prayer that would become known as the Nunc Dimittis, or Canticle of Simeon, which prophesied the redemption of the world by Jesus: "Lord, now lettest Thou Thy servant depart in peace, according to Thy word, for

mine eyes have seen Thy salvation, which Thou hast prepared before the face of all people, a light to enlighten the Gentiles, and the glory of Thy people Israel" (Luke 2:29-32).

Simeon then prophesied to Mary: "Behold, this child is set for the fall and rising again of many in Israel; and for a sign which shall be spoken against? Yea, a sword shall pierce through thy own soul also?that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed" (Luke 2:34- 35).

The elderly prophetess Anna was also in the Temple, and offered prayers and praise to God for Jesus, and spoke to everyone there about Jesus and his role in the redemption of Israel (Luke 2:36-38).

Name of the celebration

In addition to being known as the Presentation of Jesus at the Temple, other traditional names include Candlemas, the Feast of the Purification of the Virgin, and the Meeting of the Lord.

Its formal name in the Eastern Rite Catholic Churches is the Feast of the Purification of the Virgin. It is known as the Presentation of the Lord in the Roman Catholic Church.

[1] In the Eastern Orthodox Church it is known as the Feast of the Presentation of our Lord and Savior in the Temple or as The Meeting of Our Lord, God and Saviour Jesus Christ.

In the churches of the Anglican Communion it is known by various names, including: The Presentation of Our Lord Jesus Christ in The Temple (Candlemas)

(ECUSA), The Presentation of Christ in the Temple, and The Purification of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Anglican Church of Canada), The Presentation of Christ in the Temple (Candlemas) (Church of England), and The Presentation of Christ in the Temple (Anglican Church of Australia).

It is known as the Presentation of Our Lord in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. In some Protestant churches, the feast is known as the Naming of Jesus (though historically he would have been named on the eighth day after the Nativity, when he was circumcised).

Liturgical celebration

Presentation in the Temple by Ambrogio Lorenzetti, 1342 (Galleria degli Uffizi, Florence).

Traditionally, Candlemas had been the last feast day in the Christian year that was dated by reference to Christmas; subsequent moveable feasts are calculated with reference to Easter. Prior to the liturgical reforms of the Second Vatican

Council, Candlemas in the Roman Catholic Church marked the end of the Christmas and Epiphany season. The present Roman calendar substitutes the Saturday before

the Baptism of the Lord as the final day of the Christmas liturgical season. If Easter falls early enough, 2 February can occur during the pre-Lenten season (causing the omission of "Alleluia" in the Roman liturgy).

The Western term "Candlemas" refers to the practice found in the Roman Missal whereby a priest on 2 February blesses beeswax candles with an aspergilium for use throughout the year, some of which are distributed to the faithful for use

in the home. In Poland the feast is called "Matka Boska Gromniczna" (Matka Boska, "Mother of God" + Gromnica, "beeswax candle").

Within the Roman Catholic Church, since the liturgical reforms of the Second Vatican Council, this feast has been referred to as the Feast of Presentation of the Lord, with references to candles and the purification of Mary de-emphasised in favor of the Prophecy of Simeon the Righteous. Pope John Paul II connected the feast day with the renewal of religious vows.

In the Eastern Orthodox tradition, the Meeting of the Lord is unique in that it combines elements of both a Great Feast of the Lord and a Great Feast of the Theotokos (Mother of God). It has a Forefeast of one day, and an Afterfeast of

seven days. However, if the feast falls during Cheesefare Week or Great Lent, the afterfeast is either shortened or eliminiated altogether. The holy day is celebrated with an All-Night Vigil on the eve of the feast, and a celebration of

the Divine Liturgy the next morning, at which beeswax candles are blessed. This blessing traditionally takes place after the Little Hours and before the beginning of the Divine Liturgy (though in some places it is done after). The

priest reads four prayers, and then a fifth one during which all present bow their heads before God. He then censes the candles and blesses them with holy water. The candles are then distributed to the people and the Liturgy begins.

The services for the Meeting of the Lord contain hymns composed by many of the great Church hymnographers: St. Andrew, Bishop of Crete (7th cent.); St. Cosmas, Bishop of Maiuma; St. John Damascene; St. Germanus, Patriarch of Constantinople (8th cent.); and St. Joseph the

Hymnographer, Archbishop of Thessalonica (9th cent.)

On the same day, Orthodox Christians also commemorate a wonder- working icon of the Theotokos known as "the Softening of Evil Hearts" or "Simeon's Prophecy." It

depicts the Virgin Mary with her hands upraised in prayer, and seven swords piercing her heart. This is one of the few Orthodox icons of the Theotokos which do not depict the infant Jesus.

It is because of the biblical events recounted in the second chapter of Luke that the Churching of Women came to be practiced in both Eastern and Western Christianity. Though the usage has mostly died out in the West, the rite is

still practiced to this day in the Eastern Orthodox Church.

Some Christians observe the practice of leaving Christmas decorations up until Candlemas.

THREE GENERAL GRANTS OF INDULGENCES

http://www.dominicanidaho.org/indulg.html

Foreword

1. Presented in the first place are three grants of indulgences, intended to serve as a reminder to the faithful to infuse with the christian spirit the actions that go to make up their daily lives and to strive in the ordering of their lives toward the perfection of charity.

2. The first and second grants are a resume of many given in times past; the third, on the other hand, is something altogether new but most suited to the present time when, with the mitigation of the law of fast and abstinence, it is

more than ever imperative that penance be practised in other ways.

3. The three grants are truly general in character, each of them comprising many works of the same kind. However, not all such works are enriched with indulgences, but those only which are performed in a particular manner and

spirit.

An example in point is the first grant, which reads as follows: "A partial indulgence is granted to the faithful who, in the performance of their duties and in bearing the trials of life, raise their mind with humble confidence to

God, adding-even if only mentally -- some pious invocation."

By virtue of this grant those acts only are indulgenced, by which the faithful, while performing their duties and patiently suffering the trials of life, raise their mind to God in the manner indicated.

Acts of this kind, considering the frailty of human nature, are not frequent.

But should anyone be so zealous and fervent as to make such acts frequently in the course of a day, he would justly merit -- over and above a copious increase of grace -- a fuller remission of the punishment due for sin and he would in his charity be able to come to the aid of the souls in purgatory so much the more generously.

The above observations apply with practically the same force to the second and third grants.

4. The three grants are fully in harmony with the Gospel and with the teachings of the II Vatican Council. To illustrate this briefly for the benefit of the faithful, each of the three grants is followed by citations from the Sacred Scriptures and from the Acts of the Council.

SO HIS LIFE WAS NOT GIVEN IN VAIN. THERE IS HOPE FOR THE WORLD AND IT RESIDES WITH THE FEW WHO HAVE CHOSEN GOD OVER ALL THE WORLD. PRAY THEN WITH CONVICTION, TRUSTING THAT GOD'S LOVE AND MERCY WILL COME SOON AND THERE SHALL BE A NEW HEAVENS AND A NEW EARTH.

OH MY LOVES HOW TRULY BLESSED YOU ARE TO HAVE BEEN CHOSEN AND TO HAVE DECIDED FOR GOD.

WHEN YOU COME INTO LENT, MAKE EACH DAY A RENEWAL OF YOUR COMMITMENT AND THEN LET YOUR HEARTS SING WITH JOY AS YOU CONTINUE TO REMAIN FIRM IN FAITH, TRUST AND YOUR COMMITMENT.

Message From the Father February 2, 2008
6:50 AM

Son, forbearance of trials, sufferings, pain, sorrows, loss of loved ones, of finances is a pleasing attitude of the heart for me.

My Son Jesus suffered a great deal because He was in human form when He was crucified. Do I wish suffering to come to my children?

Certainly not my child but these crosses were designed by me to aid mankind in their journey towards home - where I wish them to arrive.
Without suffering, man's focus is on the outside of himself but suffering forces him to go inside and search the depth of his soul. Most likely, if his sufferings bear much fruit and not rebellion against me, he will find Me.

Suffering is temporary. The soul will go home to me. And when all is said and done, people will see that their suffering does not compare nor matter anymore with the glory that awaits them.

Jesus Asks Us To Follow Him

As usual, my husband and I attended our 8:00 A.M. Mass at our parish, Our Lady Of Sorrows where I made small offerings to Jesus and Mary and prayed for all
those with special needs.
As Jesus requested of us last week, I went to Confession on Saturday and Mass and Holy Communion today and prayed for a departed family member's safe passage into heaven.

After receiving the most sacred Body and Blood of Christ during Holy Communion, I knelt in silent commune with Jesus asking Him to please cover me with His most
precious blood. Then I asked, Speak Lord, Your servant listens.

Jesus responded to my heart saying; Eileen My child, it is good to hear My word, but to heed My word is the requirement for entering into the
school of Saints.
I love you as I love all My children. Go in peace to love and serve the Lord.  Continue to pray for your brothers and sisters.
   Message #3037 to little Mary - November 30, 2007

Shaking events will happen, so please turn to My Son and build your relationship with Him now"

MESSAGE #3037 from the Blessed Mother November 30, 2007

My daughter, I am with you, so please write and relay my messages so more repent and prepare their soul. These messages are a gift from God, so please respond now. All must wake up before it is their time to leave this earth.

Please wake up, for time is short on this earth. Please let go of fear, for I am truly here to lead you closer to My Son, Jesus. Shaking events will happen, so please turn to My Son and build your relationship with Him now.
Peace will not be given to those who are living in mortal sin.
Punishment awaits those who are choosing darkness. Prayer, penance and sacrifice is what is needed now. You cannot come to know My Son if change in you does not happen.
You must pick up your cross, repent of your sins and nourish your soul. You must live more simply so you have more time to pray.  The busyness of the world is what is pulling my children away from God.

Today, I am asking my children to examine their conscience. I am asking that you each spend more time kneeling before the Blessed Sacrament. Through your response, your hearts will be touched and Jesus' rays will enter.
Change will begin in you and your love for Jesus will grow. My Priests and all religious must do the same so they are strengthened for times ahead. God will lead the faithful forward, but you must trust and stay close to Jesus' Most
Sacred Heart. Do not wait for the warning. Prepare your soul now.

The time is coming, so prepare, prepare your soul now. God's justice, mercy and love will soon shake the earth. Please respond, for this is the time of God's great mercy to mankind. Amen.

Message From Mother Mary
February 1, 2008
7:05 AM

Son, your confusion about certain matters of the faith will not linger long as your Mother will help you thresh out conflicting thoughts and help you arrive at the truth the truth that the Father wants imparted.

No messenger is absolutely infallible. Absolute perfection in this life is very difficult to acquire by anyone, hence the understanding that some leeway must be accorded each messenger. Perfect knowledge is in heaven but this does not mean that one who keeps striving to know the truth will not find it while in this life, for it is written, ask and you shall receive, seek and you shall find, the door shall be opened. The seeker of truth finds the truth.

Strive for love then for even if knowledge is imperfect, love covers the imperfection, nullifies the effects of sins confessed and yes, leads to the truth.

Medjugorje Day By Day Feb 04 - LOVE ALL WITH MY LOVE "The Eucharist is the source and nourishment of every priestly and religious vocation" Pope John Paul II, Feb 1, 2005 Mother Teresa Faith is a gift from God.When God comes to you or you go to God, then you will have the chance to accept Him or reject Him.Accepting Him is the gift of faith.  Padre Pio -  Prayer is the best weapon we have; it is the key to God's heart. You must speak to Jesus not only with your lips but with your heart; in fact on certain occasions you should speak to Him only with your heart. Archbishop Fulton Sheen -  "Wings of aspiration""The nation of tomorrow is the youth of today. They are the assurance of progress; the fresh arrows to a better future; the wings of aspiration.  Even in war the strength of a nation is not in its bombs, but in the soldiers, who defend it. In peace, it is not economics or politics that save, but good economists and good politicians - to be that, they must be good children. To be that, there must in the first place be the grace of God; in the second place, in the home lessons of love and truth; in the schools, knowledge and self-control."  St. Faustina's diary  No one can comprehend what my heart feels when I meditate on the fact that God unites me with himself through the vows.  God makes known to me, even now, the immensity of the love He already had for me before time began; and as for me, I have just begun to love Him, in time. His love was [ever] great, pure and disinterested, and my love for Him comes from the fact that I am beginning to know Him.  The more I come to know Him, the more ardently, the more fiercely I love Him, and the more perfect my acts become. Meanwhile, each time I call to mind that in a few days I am to become one with the Lord through perpetual vows, a joy beyond all description floods my soul.  From the very first time that I came to know the Lord, the gaze of my soul became drowned in Him for all eternity. Each time the Lord draws close to me and my knowledge of Him grows deeper, a more perfect love grows within my soul.       (231)  Prayer during the Mass on the day of the perpetual vows. Today I place my heart on the paten where Your Heart has been placed, O Jesus, and today I offer myself together with You to God, Your Father and mine, as a sacrifice of love and praise. Father of Mercy, look upon the sacrifice of my heart, but through the wound in the Heart of Jesus.       (239)      MEDJUGORJE DAY BY DAY  These thoughts for a day are taken from a daily meditation book based on the Messages of Our Lady of Medjugorje by Father Richard J. Beyer, Ave Maria Press.  Feb 4 - LOVE ALL WITH MY LOVE  A Message from the Madonna on love: "Dear children, I am call in you to a complete surrender to God. Pray, little children, that Satan does not sway you like branches in the wind. Be strong in God. I desire that through you the whole world may get to know the God of joy. Neither be anxious nor worried. God will help you and show you the way. I want you to love all with love, both the good and the bad. Only that way will love conquer the world. (Monthly Message May 25, 1988) Christ gives us an example of indiscriminate love in this scene from Luke's gospel:  After this he went out and saw a tax collector named Levi, sitting at the tax booth; and he said to him, "Follow me." And he got up, left everything, and followed him. Then Levi gave a great banquet for him in his house; and there was a large crowd of tax collectors and others sitting at the table with them.  The Pharisees and their scribes were complaining to his disciples, saying, "Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?" Jesus answered, "Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick; I have come to call not the righteous but sinners to repentance" (Lk 5:27-32)  Reflection: The visit to Matthew's home hurt Jesus' reputation, yet Matthew's soul was obviously worth the price, and more. God values and loves all of us, whether saint or sinner, beyond our comprehension.  And he asks us in turn to reach out in love to others, especially the sinful and the hurting, that he might heal them through our touch. In the words of an anonymous poet: Love has a hem to its garment That touches the very dust; It can reach the stains of the streets and lanes, And because it can, it must. This is also the core of Our Lady's message today: "I want you to love all men with my love, both the good and the bad. Only that way will love conquer the world..."  Application: Let us pray with Dietrich Bonhoeffer, who wrote these words while in a Nazi concentration camp: "Give me such love for you, O Lord, and for all men, as will blot out all hatred and bitterness."    Medjugorje Day By Day Feb 03 - BEGIN WORKING ON YOUR HEARTS           The Jan 31 The Presentation of the Lord"Simeon gave back Jesus to His Mother, he was only suffered to keep Him for one moment.  But we are far happier than Simeon. We may keep Him always if we will. In Communion He comes not only into our arms but into our hearts" (St. John Vianney). "Love keep Him there [in the Blessed Sacrament] as a victim completely and perpetually delivered over to sacrifice for the glory of the Father and for our salvation.  Unite yourself with Him, then, in all that you do.   Refer everything to His glory.  Set up your abode in this loving Heart of Jesus and you will there find lasting peace and strength both to bring to fruition all the good desires He inspires in you, and to avoid every deliberate fault.  Place in this Heart all your sufferings and difficulties.  Everything that comes from the Sacred Heart is sweet.  He changes everything into love." St.Margaret Mary Mother Teresa  Work cannot substitute for prayer.Nevertheless, we can learn to make work a prayer. How can we do this?By doing our work with Jesus and for Jesus. Meditations by Padre Pio -  Pray, hope and don't worry. Worry is useless.God is merciful and will hear your prayer.  Archbishop Fulton Sheen -  Nurturing with encouragement, not discouragement!"Parents hold the place of God in the home. If they act as tyrants they will develop unconsciously anti-religious sentiments in their children.  Children love approbation and can be easily cast down into despair when blamed excessively for trivial faults. With great difficulty can children ever be taught the Love and Mercy of God if His vice-regents in the home act without it and are so difficult to please.  When good intentions are rated low, and children are put under the ban of dishonor, they are likely to show they are no better than their parents think they are." St. Faustina's diary Though these [dark nights of the soul] are frightening things, the soul should not be too fearful, because God will never test us beyond what we are able to bear.  On the other hand, He may never send us such sufferings, but I write this because, if it pleases the Lord to let a soul pass through such sufferings, it should not be afraid but, insofar as this depends on the soul itself, it should remain faithful to God.  God will do a soul no harm, because He is Love itself, and in this unfathomable love has called it into being. However, when I was so tormented, I myself did not understand this.       (106)  Pure love is capable of great deeds, and it is not broken by difficulty or adversity. As it remains strong in the midst of great difficulties, so too it perseveres in the toilsome and drab life of each day. It knows that only one thing is needed to please God: to do even the smallest things out of great love - love, and always love.  Pure love never errs. Its light is strangely plentiful. It will not do anything that might displease God. It is ingenious at doing what is more pleasing to God, and no one will equal it. It is happy when it can empty itself and burn like a pure offering.  The more it gives of itself, the happier it is. But also, no one can sense dangers from afar as can love; it knows how to unmask and also knows with whom it has to deal.       (140)  MEDJUGORJE DAY BY DAY These thoughts for a day are taken from a daily meditation book based on the Messages of Our Lady of Medjugorje by Father Richard J. Beyer, Ave Maria Press.  Feb 3 - BEGIN WORKING ON YOUR HEARTS The Blessed Virgin speaks of our hearts today:"Dear Children, there is a time for everything. Today I call you to begin working on your hearts. Now that all the work in the fields is over, you have found time to clean even the most neglected places--but you have left your hearts aside. I ask you now to work with love in cleansing the recesses of your own hearts. (Weekly Message October 17,1985) Jesus also affirms the need to cleanse our hearts: Do you not see that whatever goes into the mouth enters the stomach, and goes out into the sewer? But what comes out of the mouth proceeds from the heart, and this is what defiles. For out of the heart comes evil intentions, murder, adultery, fornication, theft, false witness, slander. These are what defile a person...(Mt 15:17-20) Reflection:400 years before Christ, Socrates wrote, "I pray thee, O God, that I may be beautiful within." The urgings of Christ and the Blessed Mother that we cleanse our hearts is due in part to their being the dwelling places of god himself.  In this vein the psychiatrist Carl Jung wrote, "Too few people have experienced the divine image as the innermost possession of their own souls. Christ only meets them form without, never within the heart." The great mystics of the church would agree with this. In the 16th century St. John of the Cross affirmed that, "In the center of the soul is God." His contemporary, St. Teresa of Avila, based her spiritual masterpiece The Way of Perfection on the same truth--the spiritual life was primarily a journey inward to discover the presence of God within one's soul.  It is this priceless treasure, the gift of God within that urges us to faith, to prayer, the sacraments, and to love--the means by which we cleanse our hearts for the indwelling Spirit of God. Application:In prayer today, reflect on the following: "The gift of the Holy Spirit closes the last gap between the life of God and our...When we allow the love of God to move in us, we can no longer distinguish ours and his; he becomes us, he lives us" (Austin Farrer)   For those who worry about where they will end up after life. (From the seers blog, fair usefor those in the African Diaspora who would not normally be exposed to such… 17. U.S.C.) What is an Indulgence? To understand what an indulgence is, we have to know what our sin does to ourselves and the world. When we commit sin, two things happen. First, we kill the life of grace within us. This deserves punishment. Spiritually, a sinner is a dead man, walking. Second, by removing grace from ourselves, we also remove grace from the created universe. Thus, each sin, no matter how venial, attacks both the moral order of the universe and the very material of creation itself. I.                 Forgiveness - When God pours out mercy in the Sacrament of Reconciliation, He does something we have no right to expect He forgives our sins and restores the life of grace within us, resurrecting us from death. As a result, we must act (penance) to change our life and renew our way of living (amendment of life).  However, though we have been resurrected, we still deserve punishment for the attack we made on God's creation. Further, the horrible consequences of our attack, which removed grace from creation, continue to affect the world even if we ourselves have been healed through the sacrament. God expects us to help repair the damage. II. Repair Work - We can do this repair work either here on earth or in Purgatory. Since God intended us to live with our bodies united to our souls, it is much easier to do this repair work here. In Purgatory, our soul and body are separate. The suffering of Purgatory is always much more painful than suffering on earth because it is harder to do the necessary repair work when the body isn't around to help. III. The Storehouse - John Cardinal Newman said, The smallest venial sin rocks the foundations of the created world. That is, even our smallest sin can cause devastating consequences in creation; famine, disease, natural disaster. However, through God's grace, the holiness of even the lowliest saint far exceeds the harm even the greatest sinner can do. Further, Christ's work on the Cross is infinitely greater in merit than that of the greatest saint in Christendom, the Blessed Virgin Mary. Thus, the graces wonby Christ and the saints are an infinite treasure that can be used to heal the wounds of the world. God intends us to use this treasury indeed, we could not help wipe out the effects of our sin without the divine treasury God established. An indulgence, then, applies the graces won by Christ and the saints to the world so as to heal the wounds I caused by my sins. When I perform an indulgenced act, I act in obedience to God through His Church.  The Church responds to my obedience by making available the grace necessary to render my punishment unnecessary and heal the world. The effects of my sin in the world war, famine, disease can be brought to an end. A plenary indulgence heals all of the effects of one person's sins. A partial indulgence heals part of the effects. I can win indulgences only for myself or those in Purgatory, who have need of assistance because they currently lack bodies.  Indulgences cannot be applied towards other living persons. Every living person is supposed to do his own acts of obedience to help heal the worldly effects of his own sinfulness. (Catechism of the …Church 1471-1473) A plenary indulgence can be obtained any day of the year by doing any one of the following: Adoring the Blessed Sacrament for at least one half hour,Devoutly reading Scripture for at least one half hour,Devoutly performing the Stations of the Cross,Reciting the Rosary with members of the family, or in a church, oratory, religious community or pious association. Requirements for obtaining a plenary indulgence:Do the work while in a state of grace,Receive Sacramental confession within 20 days of the work (several plenary indulgences may be earned per reception),Receive Eucharistic communion (one plenary indulgence may be earned per reception),Pray for the pope?s intentions (Our Father and Hail Mary, or other appropriate prayer, is sufficient),Have no attachment to sin (even venial) - i.e., it is sufficient that the Christian makes an act of the will to love God and despise sin. Requirements for a partial indulgence: the work must be done while in a state of grace and with the general intention of earning an indulgence. The Four Classes of Indulgenced Works (partial indulgence)Prayer: The Christian who, during the performance of his duties and endurance of the difficulties of life, raises his mind in humility and trust to God while making, at least mentally, a pious invocation. Almsgiving: The Christian who, due to his faith, devotes himself or his possessions in loving service to men in need.Fasting: The Christian who, in penitence, voluntarily abstains from something which is permitted and pleasing.Christian Witness: The Christian who, in daily circumstances, voluntarily and publicly bears witness to the faith, particularly personal faith in the Eucharist. Notes: Only baptized persons in a state of grace who generally intend to do so may earn indulgences.Indulgences cannot be applied to the living, but only to the one doing the work or to the dead. Only one plenary indulgence per day can be earned (except for prayer at the hour of one?s own death).Several partial indulgences can be earned during the same day. If only part of a work with plenary indulgence attached is completed, a partial indulgence still obtains. If the penance assigned in confession has indulgences attached, the one work can satisfy both penance and indulgence. Confessors may commute the work or the conditions if the penitent cannot perform them due to legitimate obstacles. In groups, indulgenced prayer must be recited by at least one member while the others at least mentally follow the prayer. If speech/hearing impairments make recitation impossible, mental expression or reading of the prayer is sufficient. For an indulgence attached to a particular day requiring a church visit, the day begins at noon the day before and ends at midnight. Lord, may everything we do begin with Your inspiration and continue with Your help,so that all our prayers and works may begin in You and by You be happily ended. We ask this through Christ our Lord.Amen. NORMS ON INDULGENCES From http://www.dominicanidaho.org/indulg.html Fair use 127 U.S.C. for those in the African Diaspora who would not normally be exposed to such 1. An indulgence is the remission before God of the temporal punishment due forsins already forgiven as far as their guilt is concerned. This remission thefaithful with the proper dispositions and under certain determined conditionsacquire through the intervention of the Church which, as minister of theRedemption, authoritatively dispenses and applies the treasury of thesatisfaction won by Christ and the Saints. 2. An indulgence is partial or plenary, according as it removes either part orall of the temporal punishment due for sin. 3. No one, acquiring indulgences, can apply them to other living persons. 4. Partial as well as plenary indulgences can always be applied to the departedby way of suffrage. 5. The grant of a partial indulgence is designated only with the words "partialindulgence," without any determination of days or years. 6. The faithful, who at least with contrite heart perform an action to which apartial indulgence is attached, obtain, in addition to the remission of temporalpunishment acquired by the action itself, an equal remission of punishmentthrough the intervention of the Church. 7. The division of indulgences into "personal," "real" and "local" is abolished,so as to make it clearer that indulgences are attached to the actions of thefaithful, even though at times they may be linked with some object or place. 8. Besides the Archbishop of Rome, to whom the dispensation of the whole spiritualtreasury of the Church has been entrusted by Christ our Lord, they only cangrant indulgences by ordinary power, to whom this is expressly conceded by law. 9. In the Roman Curia, whatever pertains to the granting and use of indulgencesis committed to the Sacred Penitentiary exclusively, saving the right of theCongregation for the Doctrine of the Faith to examine whatever pertains todogmatic teaching concerning indulgences. 10. No one below the  Archbishop of Rome can:1. Give to others the faculty of granting indulgences, unless he has this rightby express indult from the Apostolic See; 2. Add another indulgence to a workalready indulgenced by the Apostolic See or by someone else, unless newconditions to be fulfilled are prescribed. 11. Diocesan Bishops, and others equated to them in law, have the right fromentrance upon their pastoral office:1. To grant a partial indulgence to persons or in places under theirjurisdiction; 2. To impart in their respective dioceses, according to theprescribed formula, the Papal Blessing with a plenary indulgence three times ayear on solemn feasts of their own choice, even if they only assist at thesolemn Mass. 12. Metropolitans can grant a partial indulgence in their suffragan Sees, as intheir proper diocese. 13. Patriarchs can grant a partial indulgence in each place, even if exempt, oftheir respective patriarchates, in churches of their rite outside the territoryof their patriarchates, and to the faithful of their rite everywhere. MajorArchbishops have the same faculty. 14. Cardinals have the faculty of granting a partial indulgence in places or toinstitutes or persons under their jurisdiction or protection; in other placesalso, but only to persons present and for that time only. 15.1. All books of indulgences, as well as pamphlets, leaflets and the like, whosecontents include grants of indulgences, may not be published without thepermission of the Ordinary or Hierarch of the place. 2. The express permissionof the Apostolic See is required to print and publish in any language theauthentic collection of prayers and pious works, to which the Apostolic See hasattached indulgences. 16, Those who have asked and obtained from the Archbishop of Rome grants ofindulgences for all the faithful are obliged, under penalty of nullity of thefavor thus obtained, to submit to the Sacred Penitentiary authentic copies ofthese same grants. 17. If a feast or its external solemnity is legitimately transferred, it isunderstood that an indulgence, attached to the feast, is transferred to the sameday. 18. A visit to a church or oratory, if required to gain an indulgence attachedto a certain day, can be made from noon of the preceding day to midnight at theclose of the day itself. 19. The faithful, who devoutly use an article of devotion (crucifix or cross, rosary, scapular or medal) properly blessed by any priest, obtain a partialindulgence. But if the article of devotion has been blessed by the Sovereign Pontiff or byany Bishop, the faithful, using it devoutly, can also gain a plenary indulgenceon the feast of the Holy Apostles, Peter and Paul, provided they also make aprofession of faith according to any legitimate formula. 20.1. Indulgences attached to a visit to a church do not cease if the church istotally destroyed, provided the church is rebuilt within fifty years in the sameor almost the same place and under the same title. 2. An indulgence attached tothe use of an article of devotion only ceases, when the article is completelydestroyed or is sold. 21. Holy Mother Church, extremely solicitous for the faithful departed, hasdecided to apply suffrages to them as abundantly as possible in every Sacrificeof the Mass, abolishing every particular privilege in this regard. 22.1. To be capable of gaining an indulgence for oneself, it is required that onebe baptized, not excommunicated, in the state of grace at least at thecompletion of the prescribed works, and a subject of the one granting theindulgence. 2. In order that one who is capable may actually gain indulgences, one must have at least a general intention to gain them and must in accordancewith the tenor of the grant perform the enjoined works at the time and in themanner prescribed. 23. Unless the tenor of the grant clearly indicates otherwise, indulgencesgranted by a Bishop can be gained by his subjects even outside his territory andby others within his territory who are exempt or who have or do not have adomicile elsewhere. 24.1. A plenary indulgence can be acquired once only in the course of a day. 2. Butone can obtain the plenary indulgence for the moment of death, even if anotherplenary indulgence had already been acquired on the same day. 3. A partialindulgence can be acquired more than once a day, unless otherwise expresslyindicated. 25. The work prescribed for acquiring a plenary indulgence connected with achurch or oratory consists in a devout visit and the recitation during the visitof one Our Father and the Creed. 26. To acquire a plenary indulgence it is necessary to perform the work to whichthe indulgence is attached and to fulfill the following three conditions:sacramental confession, eucharistic Communion, and prayer for the intention ofthe Sovereign Pontiff. It is further required that all attachment to sin, evenvenial sin. be absent. If the latter disposition is in any way less than perfect or if the prescribedthree conditions are not fulfilled, the indulgence will be partial only, savingthe provisions given below in Norm 34 and in Norm 35 concerning those who are"impeded." 27. The three conditions may be fulfilled several days before or after theperformance of the prescribed work; it is, however, fitting that Communion bereceived and the prayer for the intention of the Sovereign Pontiff be said onthe same day the work is performed. 28. A single sacramental confession suffices for gaining several plenaryindulgences; but Communion must be received and prayer for the intention of theHead of the Church must be recited for the gaining of each plenary indulgence. 29. The condition of praying for the intention of the Sovereign Pontiff is fullysatisfied by reciting one Our Father and one Hail Mary; nevertheless, each oneis free to recite any other prayer according to his piety and devotion. 30. The norms regarding plenary indulgences, particularly the one stated abovein Norm 24, 1, apply also to what up to now have been customarily called "totiesquoties" ["as often as"] plenary indulgences. 31. An indulgence cannot be gained by a work, to which one is obliged by law orprecept. unless the contrary is expressly stated in the grant; one, however, whoperforms a work which has been imposed as a sacramental penance and whichhappens to be one enriched with an indulgence, can at the same time both satisfythe penance and gain the indulgence. 32. An indulgence attached to a prayer can be acquired by reciting the prayer inany language, provided the fidelity of the translation is vouched for by adeclaration either of the Sacred Penitentiary or of any Ordinary or Hierarch ofthose places, where the language of the translation is the one commonly spoken. 33. To gain an indulgence attached to a prayer, it is sufficient to recite theprayer alternately with a companion or to follow it mentally while it is beingrecited by another. 34. Confessors can commute either the prescribed work or conditions, in favor ofthose who, because of a legitimate impediment, cannot perform the work orfulfill the conditions. 35. Local Ordinaries or Hierarchs, moreover, can grant to the faithful, overwhom they exercise legitimate authority and who live in places where it isimpossible or at least very difficult to go to confession or Communion, permission to gain a plenary indulgence without confession and Communion, provided they have true contrition for their sins and have the intention ofreceiving these Sacraments as soon as possible. 36. The deaf and dumb can gain indulgences attached to public prayers, if theydevoutly raise their mind and affections to God, while others of the faithfulare reciting the prayers in the same place; for private prayers it suffices, ifthey recite them mentally or with signs, or if they merely read them with theireyes.     Lord, may everything we do begin with Your inspiration and continue with Yourhelp,so that all our prayers and works may begin in You and by You be happily ended. We ask this through Christ our Lord.Amen.
