Jesus walked by the Sea of Galilee, went up the mountain, and sat down there. Great crowds came to him, having with them the lame, the blind, the deformed, the mute and many others. They placed them at his feet, and he cured them. The crowd were amazed when they saw the mute speaking, the deformed made whole, the lame walking and the blind able to see, and they glorified the God of Israel. Matthew 15:29-31

I was with Jesus in contemplative prayer this morning for a half-hour. He said, Melvin, My brother and friend, I love you and I love with all My heart all My brothers and sisters living in the world. My joy is full when you accept Me as your Messiah and Lord and follow Me every day. When I was on earth I showed My love for the people by curing them of all their sicknesses. Many sick people came to Me during My public life and asked to be healed. They would bring these poor people to the house where I was staying or they would lay them on the road where I would pass. My compassion for them would prompt Me to help them. I came to renew the world and I started by bringing health to all those who were sick. I would place My hand on them and they were completely healed. These healings, of course, brought great joy to all those who were healed.

When the people saw that I had the power to heal their bodies, many accepted that I came from God and some accepted that I was the Messiah. The first to believe in Me as the Saviour were the Apostles, and Peter, in the name of the others, made a public act of faith in Me. They had seen the many miracles I had performed. If I could heal their bodies, surely I could heal their spirits.

Today I continue to heal the sick and many miracles are happening throughout the world. These make people think and for many who are healed or who witness a healing, their faith grows. I want every person to believe in Me as his or her Lord and Saviour. I am your Brother who shows you the way home and who enlightens the way. I love you.

JNSR: My God, I beg You, let Your Holy Grace come to deliver your children. Do not allow evil forces with wrong informations, to upset the Truth. Lord, what is really happening?

JESUS: I already told you that this battle against God and His Church is really the battle against David and Goliath. And that means that all hands must remain in a position of supplication, such as the hands of Moses supported by Hur and Aaron. For God, Our Father allows Himself to be touched and gives His Holy Grace when we allude to His Holy Truth.

That battle, started in Italy, and targeting the highest Dignitary of My Church on Earth, is a declared war against Christ Himself.

That country has supported Christianity and My Pope has blessed it. You all know the fate of the martyrs. Just like Paul, that Country that they wanted pagan, has turned around and like one only Subject of Christ JESUS, it stood up, finding again its vision and acclaiming God before the whole world.

Nation after Nation, I shall conquer them all, for in this war, as I told you, the country that will use nuclear arms, these will all turn against it.

The pretext used to annihilate Christianity at its very seat, has just failed, inspiring the greatest animosity known in these Times.

Like a wet fire cracker, it has left only enemies of God, who, little by little, will be discovered everywhere. Under the simple but cruel pretext of secularism for all, a strength is showing again in your country that bears so many Christian souvenirs. Do not think France is not vulnerable, for it nearly adopted secularism which renders it similar to a statue with the bosom still appearing alive (that is its Christian past), but the rest of the body is of a new material, some sort of plaster of different colors and ready to disintegrate, like this momentary Power under attack from all sides.

That staggering statue is the France of today,
when it was to support all the countries and demonstrate its power to all, as the eldest Daughter of the Church. And in the case of Italy, the forces of the enemies of Christ wished to defeat the Church and the Pope, the Vicar of Christ on Earth.

My Pope kept his dignity from his opponents of the University of Rome, then, that Sunday, an immense crowd acclaimed him on St. Peter's Square. But, in that opposition to the Pope, it is the premonitory sign of the cunning manoeuvres of My Enemy at the Vatican, as I told you before in December. Be vigilant and pray, pray in order to support My Church and My Pope.

My child, I speak to you so as to warn the World of all that is being planned already in the world and you must immediately warn the children forming My Royal Crown. All those who remove My Thorns, with the help of My Holy Church, so as to build this Crown of children, praying and obedient to God. When all My Thorns are gone, thanks to all the Holy Masses celebrated in the whole world, then nothing will oppose My Strength united to yours, fighting all the forces of Evil, present and to come.

The Pope, there is My Church, prudent but active, for it is obedient to God.

Only Love can conquer all the evil tendencies and the satanic plans. Pray, as I ask you to do, and as I have already told you. Ask Me for Faith. I give you Hope.

Do not answer those who oppose what I am asking you. Do as My Pope does, use another path to hear Me. For I speak in you, JNSR My child, and I will increase your strength by tenfold when you have to inform My children of Love of all that I give you.

Mons. Maurillo Kreiger, former bishop of Florianopolis (Brazil), visited Medjugorje four times. His first visit was in 1986. He writes as follows:
In 1988, I was with eight other bishops and thirty three priests on spiritual retreat in the Vatican. The Holy Father knew that many of us were going to Medjugorje afterwards. After a private mass with the Pope, before leaving Rome, he said, without having been asked anything, "Pray for me in Medjugorje". MEDJUGORJE DAY BY DAY

Mar 12 - ONLY PEACE

On the third day of the apparitions, as Marija was descending Podbrdo, she was drawn to the side of the path where she again saw the Blessed Virgin. Weeping, and carrying a wooden cross, the Madonna said:

Peace, Peace, Peace! Be reconciled! Only Peace. Make your peace with God and among yourselves. For that, it is necessary to believe, to pray, to fast, and to go to confession (First Years June 6, 1981).

In Isaiah, there is also anguish in the absence of peace:

Listen! The valiant cry in the streets; The envoys of peace weep bitterly. The highways are deserted; travelers have quit the road. The treaty is broken, Its oaths are despised, its obligations is disregarded. The land mourns and languishes; Lebanon is confounded and withers away; Sharon is like a desert; And Bashan and Carmel shake off their leaves. Isaiah 33:7-9

Reflection:

Our Lady's words today comprise her first and most powerful message on peace. Weeping and carrying a cross symbolizing man's sin, enmity and strife, she pleads for reconciliation. And she immediately gives us the means: faith, prayer, fasting, and confession.

Given on the third day of the apparitions, the Virgin in effect summarizes her messages for all the years ahead. We can only surmise the gravity of the world's situation which has required her to stay with us so long.

In Colossians, Paul also tells us to let peace reign in our hearts. Our hearts are the center of conflict, for their feelings and desires clash our fears and hopes, our distrust and trust, our jealousy and love. How can we deal with these constant conflicts and live as God wants? Both Paul and the Blessed Mother ask that we decide between conflicting elements by using the rule of peace: which choice will promote peace in our souls and among our neighbors?

Applications:

Referring back to the Virgin's message, are we promoting peace through the means she gives us? Today, how can you be a peacemaker within your family, your workplace, your parish?

I asked a priest about apparitions.
"Do we have to listen to them." He said "no."
Then I asked, "are there consequences to not listening." He said "no."
Then I said "what about the secrets of Fatima."

My dear people, God has ordained that you hear my voice, so that you can be pleasing to him for all eternity. He loves you with a Fatherly affection, and He is giving you His words for you often, through these messages, so that you will come to know of His love for you and all His people.

My dear people, do not be afraid to spread the Gospel message of mercy that the Father wants you to give one another. Each time you pray the Our Father or recite the Hail Mary, you bring glory to your Creator, who has made you in the image and likeness of Himself.

So, my dear children, remember this; it is important to imitate your Savior, so that you may reflect the light of your Creator for all eternity. That is why God is calling you to be a light to one another. Each time you pray for one another, you set the example of God’s mercy for all to see. You show my people that God’s mercy is abundantly supplying for all your needs.

Through prayer, my dear children, you are born again in God’s love and creation for all of mankind. For through prayer, the Holy Spirit can touch your souls and bring you to life everlasting with Me and the Father’s will for mankind for one another.

My child, in all things, develop an attitude of trust. It is better to believe with little hope left, than to believe when all things are going well. By putting your trust in Me, you will begin to develop an attitude of hope for the future. All things are in my control and perfect timing. The man who trusts in Me never fears the future. He believes that all that I give him will be used for His benefit.

It is better to believe in my mercy and hope in my goodness, than to believe in riches and hope for nothing that is profitable for the soul. Do you know what this means, my child? It is better to put your hope and trust in Me, than in riches and in other means of goodness. This will never bring happiness. Only I can suffice for the soul, which lasts for all eternity, if my goodness is within the soul. My child, to develop an attitude of trust and goodness means to bring to Me all your daily problems. Do not delay in doing this, but bring to Me all that disturbs you. I do not wish for you to delay in doing this, each time your peace is interrupted by trials or tribulations, but trust in Me to diminish all your fears. When you bring Me your trials and tribulations, trust that I will take care of them. Do not worry about them any longer. Lay them at my feet, as you would bring to Me a fragrant bouquet or an offering of love. It is in this trustful attitude, that I can bring all things to my Father, who will decide which is the best course of action for you to take. When you hear Me this way, my child, you please Me greatly and show Me that your attitude of trust is growing inside of my heart. I often offer these spiritual bouquets to my Father, who, in turn, delights in your presence and in your ability to perceive Me working greatly in your life and circumstances. He then takes control of these circumstances for you and turns these spiritual bouquets into graces pouring into your soul. So do you see, my child, why I ask you to develop this attitude of trust in my heart for you? It is to teach you that all things, great or small, are surely to be handled by my Father’s divine providence and brought to completion through my goodness.

I love you, my child. No longer struggle with things you do not understand, but allow Me to fully give to you all that my Father has to offer you. In this manner, my child, not only will you develop an attitude of trust and strength in the truth of my love for you, but you will also readily feel my divine intervention in your life. JNSR: I do not usually take the place of Christ to express my thoughts, but sometimes, it matches closely what I learn for myself about Italy.

I can say like everyone that it could be predicted that something would come out of nowhere, to begin pushing our Pope in a difficult situation, so that he would decide by himself to leave the Vatican.

But I would never have the slightest thought that this could happen, to begin with, similar to May 1968 in France.

And this was the case at the University of Rome, La Sapienza. Our Pope refused to go to this great University, even though he had been invited, to the inauguration of the university year 2008, and that the theme of his speech was about the death sentence, which the Vatican as well as Italy, are fighting throughout the world.

The media was informed by the minister of Universities, Fabio Mussi, that "even though we do not share the Pope's ideas, we can still allow him to speak".

But our Pope is prudent, for already, demonstrators were occupying the offices of the University Chancellor, to demand the right to demonstrate on the premises of the building, when Benedict XVI was to come. "The Pope is holding La Sapienza hostage. Free the thinkers", was proclaimed on a banner. And here is how that rebellion developed.

The controversy did not stop but continued to develop. A petition of 67 professors of the roman University (out of nearly 5,000 teachers) presented the Pope " as a retrograde theologian placing religion above science and therefore should not be allowed to speak in a temple of secular thought".

(1.) , asserting that the Earth revolved around the Sun.

And we see a small minority of professors and students who denounce the coming of the Pope whose "analyses offend us and humiliate us" ! The controversy rebounded on the theme of "secularism." A group of students proclaimed an anti-clerical week within the walls of La Sapienza:

"I think the Pope's visit is not a good thing, and that Science has no need of Religion. The University is open to all forms of thinking, Religion is not", declared Andréa Sterbini, a computer science professor and signer of the petition.

Other promoters of secularism seized the occasion to complain, to their great fury, about the influence of the Catholic Church in the Italian society. One of the greatest Universities in the World, La Sapienza, founded in 1303, by Pope Boniface VIII, today gathers some twenty faculties and has 150,000 students.

Rome, January 21st, the cancellation of the Pope's visit.

Controversy between the Italian Government and the Italian Bishops.

This polemic happened Monday evening, between the government of Romano PRODI and the President of the Italian Episcopal Conference, Cardinal Angelo BAGNASCO, on the reasons why the Pope's visit to the University last week was annulled. To come back to the annulment of that visit before the Bishops gathered in Rome, the Cardinal asserted that the decision was taken by the Vatican, taking necessarily into account, the suggestions of the Italian Authority.

Benedict XVI had annulled Tuesday the visit he was to make at La Sapienza, after many days of disruptions in this University of 150,000 students, provoked by small groups of anti-clerical students, taking up the opposition of 67 professors, to this visit, which they were judging "improper and foolish", on the opening of the academic year.

"It was deemed opportune to delay this event", had announced the Vatican in an official statement.

Nearly the entire class of politics, of which the Leader of the State, Georgio NAPOLITANO, had severely criticized the manifestations that had prompted the cancellation of this visit, and they expressed their support of the Holy Father.

On Sunday, many political personalities were present in the crowd that came to St. Peter's Square, to demonstrate their love for Benedict XVI, at the invitation of Cardinal Camillo RUINI, vicar of Rome.

JESUS will tell us: "Like a wet fire-cracker, there can be found only rage and disillusionment in the camp of the enemies of God".

(1.) ... but without recalling the admiration of the Pope, "for the great Galileo", and without specifying the Pope's thought on that trial dating back four centuries, which he thought valid in law, because Galileo could not produce any evidence for the clergy and the science of that era.

Meanwhile, the desire and insistence of the young people for the realization of their needs and goals, grew stronger every day. I made it all known to my spiritual director and my own provincial. They asked me to follow the development of events and I did that. The following question bothered me: how to establish and lead a community that is connected with a reality such as is Medjugorje where yet unapproved apparitions' are taking place? Before founding the community I spoke with Cardinal Ratzinger. He listened to everything attentively and instructed me what to do. For Medjugorje he told me, "Don't you worry about the tree, you worry about the fruits, the vocations, and Medjugorje is our concern."

We resemble God most when we forgive our neighbors. God is Love, Goodness, and Mercy...

Mar 13 - SPECIAL MESSAGE FOR LENT

During Lent of 1989, Ivan reported the following message to his prayer group:

Our Lady wants this from us during Lent:

1) Review and live her messages.

2) Read the Bible more.

3) Pray more and offer all for the intentions of Our Lady.

4) Make more sacrifices.

Our Lady will be with us and will accompany us. She gave a special blessing (Visionary Prayer Group January 6, 1989).

In his letter to the Colossians, Paul also urges the people to seek "the things above":

So if you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth, for you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life is revealed, then you also will be revealed with him in glory. (Col 3:1-4)

Reflection:

Seeking "the things that are above" could be defined as striving to put heaven's priorities into daily practice, or to concentrate on the eternal rather than the temporal. It is to view life from the Lord's perspective and to seek what he desires. This is also the antidote to materialism, for we view material goods as God does.

The more we see life around us as God sees it, the more we live in harmony with him and experience his peace. This is also the reason for Mary's requests today; to pray, to live her messages to read the scriptures, and to make sacrifices, are all intended to focus us on "the things above" and bring us into harmony with God.

Application:

Let us simply apply to our lives the very specific advice the Gospa gives us in her message today.

Mar 15 - READ THE BIBLE

The Queen of Peace speaks of scripture to the prayer group:

I ask you again to multiply your prayers to prepare yourself for Easter. Also, read the Bible, especially those passages that speak of the Passion of Jesus. Prepare yourself to look at Jesus "eye to eye". Tonight when you go home, pray in front of the cross in thanksgiving for all the graces you have received (Visionary Prayer Group March 17, 1989).

In Hebrews, Paul speaks of the power of scripture:

Indeed, the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing until it divides soul from spirit, joints from marrow; it is able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart (Heb 4:12).

Reflection:

The American poet Timothy Dwight once said: "The Bible is a window in this prison-world, through which we may look into eternity." And yet cannot enlighten or reveal God's will to us unless we read and reflect upon it, which Our Lady calls us to do today.

In Hebrews, Paul speaks of scripture as living, life-changing, and dynamic. God's word reveals who we are and the purpose of life. It penetrates the core of our moral and spiritual life; it helps us to discern what is within us, both good and bad.

As the message of scripture becomes a part of us, it will affect our lifestyle, character, and decisions. It will begin to shape our lives.

Application:

Continue to make sacred scripture a part of your daily life. As Our Lady requests of us for Lent, begin to read the narratives of Christ's Passion, beginning today with Matthew 26:36 –27:61. The others are Mark 14:32—15:47; Luke 22:39—23:56; and John 18:1—19:42.

I am speaking to all My People: listen to Me

January 22, 2008

JNSR: My God, I beg You, let Your Holy Grace come to deliver your children. Do not allow evil forces with wrong informations, to upset the Truth. Lord, what is really happening?

JESUS: I already told you that this battle against God and His Church is really the battle against David and Goliath.

And that means that all hands must remain in a position of supplication, such as the hands of Moses supported by Hur and Aaron. For God, Our Father allows Himself to be touched and gives His Holy Grace when we allude to His Holy Truth.

That battle, started in Italy, and targeting the highest Dignitary of My Church on Earth, is a declared war against Christ Himself.

That country has supported Christianity and My Pope has blessed it. You all know the fate of the martyrs.

Just like Paul, that Country that they wanted pagan, has turned around and like one only Subject of Christ JESUS, it stood up, finding again its vision and acclaiming God before the whole world.

Nation after Nation, I shall conquer them all, for in this war, as I told you, the country that will use nuclear arms, these will all turn against it.

The pretext used to annihilate Christianity at its very seat, has just failed, inspiring the greatest animosity known in these Times.

Like a wet fire cracker, it has left only enemies of God, who, little by little, will be discovered everywhere.

Under the simple but cruel pretext of secularism for all, a strength is showing again in your country that bears so many Christian souvenirs.

Do not think France is not vulnerable, for it nearly adopted secularism which renders it similar to a statue with the bosom still appearing alive (that is its Christian past), but the rest of the body is of a new material, some sort of plaster of different colors and ready to disintegrate, like this momentary Power under attack from all sides.

That staggering statue is the France of today,

when it was to support all the countries and demonstrate its power to all, as the eldest Daughter of the Church.

And in the case of Italy, the forces of the enemies of Christ wished to defeat the Church and the Pope, the Vicar of Christ on Earth.

My Pope kept his dignity from his opponents of the University of Rome, then, that Sunday, an immense crowd acclaimed him on St. Peter's Square. But, in that opposition to the Pope, it is the premonitory sign of the cunning maneuvers of My Enemy at the Vatican, as I told you before in December. Be vigilant and pray, pray in order to support My Church and My Pope.

My child, I speak to you so as to warn the World of all that is being planned already in the world and you must immediately warn the children forming My Royal Crown.

All those who remove My Thorns, with the help of My Holy Church, so as to build this Crown of children, praying and obedient to God. When all My Thorns are gone, thanks to all the Holy Masses celebrated in the whole world, then nothing will oppose My Strength united to yours, fighting all the forces of Evil, present and to come.

The Pope, there is My Church, prudent but active, for it is obedient to God.

Only Love can conquer all the evil tendencies and the satanic plans. Pray, as I ask you to do, and as I have already told you. Ask Me for Faith. I give you Hope.

“I am your Brother”

Reading: John 10:1-18

Dear friends,

“Jesus walked by the Sea of Galilee, went up the mountain, and sat down there. Great crowds came to him, having with them the lame, the blind, the deformed, the mute and many others.

They placed them at his feet, and he cured them. The crowd were amazed when they saw the mute speaking, the deformed made whole, the lame walking and the blind able to see, and they glorified the God of Israel.” Matthew 15:29-31

I was with Jesus in contemplative prayer this morning for a half-hour. He said, “Melvin, My brother and friend, I love you and I love with all My heart all My brothers and sisters living in the world.

My joy is full when you accept Me as your Messiah and Lord and follow Me every day. When I was on earth I showed My love for the people by curing them of all their sicknesses.

Many sick people came to Me during My public life and asked to be healed. They would bring these poor people to the house where I was staying or they would lay them on the road where I would pass.

My compassion for them would prompt Me to help them. I came to renew the world and I started by bringing health to all those who were sick. I would place My hand on them and they were completely healed. These healings, of course, brought great joy to all those who were healed.

When the people saw that I had the power to heal their bodies, many accepted that I came from God and some accepted that I was the Messiah.

The first to believe in Me as the Saviour were the Apostles, and Peter, in the name of the others, made a public act of faith in Me. They had seen the many miracles I had performed. If I could heal their bodies, surely I could heal their spirits.

Today I continue to heal the sick and many miracles are happening throughout the world. These make people think and for many who are healed or who witness a healing, their faith grows.

I want every person to believe in Me as his or her Lord and Saviour. I am your Brother who shows you the way home and who enlightens the way. I love you.”

P.S. I heard today that the message of yesterday from Ivan of Medjugorje was false. Somebody spread that around in 2006.

I am appealing to you all once more to help Father Charles financially so that he can go to a Catholic university in the autumn. Thank you very much.

"Our Lady gave her flesh for the Incarnation and thereby made possible the Eucharist, where we receive the Flesh that is Bread for the world.

In going to the encounter with Our Lady, young people themselves learn to offer their own flesh, their daily life, so that it may be given over to the Lord. And they learn to believe and little by little to say 'yes' to the Lord."

"I am very grateful because Eucharistic Adoration is being increasingly renewed. During the Synod on the Eucharist, the Bishops talked a great deal about their experiences, of how new life is being restored to communities with this adoration, and also with nocturnal adoration, and how, precisely in this way, new vocations are also born" (Pope Benedict XVI, Feb. 22, 2007).

The Cross is to the creature as the bridle to the horse

What would happen to the horse if man would not use the bridle? The Cross tames him and restrains him. It softens him, pacifies him and leads him by the hand.

The soul by becoming all love, is in continuous contact with Me.

Today during the Angelus, the Lord gave me an understanding of God's incomprehensible love for people. He lifts us up to His very Godhead. His only motives are love and fathomless mercy.

Though You make known the mystery to us through an Angel, You yourself carry it out. (1172)

Whatever Jesus did, He did well. He went along, doing good. His manner was full of goodness and mercy. His steps were guided by compassion.

Toward His enemies He showed goodness, kindness, and understanding, and to those in need help and consolation.

I have resolved to mirror faithfully these traits of Jesus in myself during this month, even if this costs me much. (1175)

MEDJUGORJE DAY BY DAY

MARCH 14 - SATAN IS TRYING TO DESTROY

Regarding Satan, the Blessed Mother said to Ivan's prayer group:

"Dear Children, during this Lent Satan is trying by every means to destroy in you what we have started. I warn you as a mother, let prayer be your weapon against him. (Visionary Prayer Group March 12,1988).

In his first letter, Peter also warns of Satan:

Discipline yourselves, keep alert. Like a roaring lion your adversary the Devil prowls around, looking for someone to devour.

Resist him, steadfast in your faith, for you know that your brothers and sisters in all the world are undergoing the same kinds of suffering. (1 Pt 5:8-9).

Reflection:

The Madonna of Medjugorje continues to emphasize the reality and danger of Satan, for just as a physician cannot treat an illness without a diagnosis, so we cannot fight the Evil One without first acknowledging his existence and power.

In a sermon in Medjugorje on this subject, Fr. Tomislav Vlasic, at one time the spiritual director of the visionaries, said: "Recently Our Lady's messages have been warning us of Satan's presence and we in Medjugorje have actually been experiencing this.

It is not an academic question for us, but the actual experience of Satan's presence and attacks…

But Our Lady has taught us how to face this problem, how to fight it. She always points out the weapons we can use against the Evil One: prayer, penance, and as active spiritual life…

Through Our Lady, we have discovered Satan's presence hidden in civilization, which has denied his existence, just as it has denied the presence of God. Satan exists, he is real. But we have the weapons to fight him.

Application:

Simply take to heart the Madonna's message today: «I warn you as a mother, let prayer be your weapon against Satan."
