Cordelia is the most popular girl in school. She has the money, the car, and every guy from school swarming over her. Except Xander Harris. They two openly hate each other.

She's nice to Buffy when she first starts at Sunnydale High because she used to live in Los Angeles but when Buffy is nice to Willow, Cordelia is at a total loss and counts Buffy off as another loser. The first time any real time is spent between Cordy and the Scooby gang is when she is attacked by an invisable girl. Soon Cordelia becomes part of the scooby gang.

Then against all the odds she starts dating Xander. At first she doesn't want anyone to know about it, and when her friends do find out they dis-own her. Cordelia breaks up with Xander on Valentines day but secretly keeps wearing the pendant he gave her. They get back together but she is no longer the most popular girl in school. Then her and Xander break up again this time for good when she finds him cheating on her with Willow and then gets impaled on a rebar.

Cordelia then finds out her father has been cheating on his taxes for the last....forever! She hasn't got a penny.

After the Xander scene and the fact her parents can't afford any of the universities she got into she moves to Los Angeles to become an actress. There she meets up with Angel and along with a half demon named Doyle they begin Angel investigations, helping the hopeless. Soon though Doyle dies and after sharing their first and only kiss he passes on his ability to recive visions from the Powers That Be to Cordelia, with her new found gift she continues to help Angel along with Wesley
