Willow, born and raised in Sunnydale by her very Jewish parents is a fairly reserved and shy person. Her best friend is Xander Harris and she has a reputation for being the one to go to if you need tutoring. Willow can be very naive at times, when she was a child to her playing "doctor" was to read medical texts and test Xander for illnesses.

Willow's computer skills are legendary, which is handy since Giles has a phobia of computers. During careers week at Sunnydale High she was one of only two studants picked to meet a prestigious computer software company, the other was Oz. She was also asked to substitute teach Jenny Calender's Computer-science class after she was murdered by Angelus. When a another teacher could not be found she was asked to continue until the end of term, even though she was only a junior.

Soon after she met Buffy they became friends and she like Xander insisted on helping The Slayer in whatever way she could.

Willow has long carried a torch for Xander, she claimes they "dated" when they were were five but they broke up because he stole her barbie doll. She has waited for Xander to notice her her whole life, but apart from a fleeting moment at the begining of the junior year he has remained her friend and nothing more. Willow started dating Oz, the lead guitarist of Dingoes Ate My Baby. Then they found out he was a werewolf, but only three nights of the month,so their relationship continued. When Willow wakened from her coma Oz was the one she called for. But when Oz broke loose on the night of thefull moon and tried to kill her he left her.

Willow began dabbling in magic and is now a fully fledged witch. After her break up with Oz she became involved with a witch named Tara and this relationship has continued so far.
