Ross M1910
.303 British
What it would have originally looked like.
This baby was a recent
purchase at an OGCA show. I'd wanted one for a while, but couldn't find
one at the right price. This one was a sporterized job, apparently from
England. (Stamped NTENGLISHMAKE on both the barrel and reciever.) I'd
heard stories of the accuracy of this rifle, and also of the horror
stories about faulty bolts flying into the shooters skull.
Still, the price was very attractive for such a nicely converted rifle ($125) that I bought it. It's been modded to prevent improper bolt assembly. I've only had the chance to shoot it once, but I'll tell you, it will give my M96 Swede a run for its money. I can't wait to try it with hand loads! (1.5MOA with cheap FN Surplus ammo)
