Frequently Asked Questions

Got a question to ask? Then send us an e-mail. We will post questions and their answers as quickly as possible.

Q.can you settle a debate between a friend and myself? I was positive that the first reference to Mary Malone being the serpent is during her conversation with the Dust in Subtle Knife, but my friend insists that this is not the case.
A. The first reference to Mary as the serpent is during the conversation with Dust via the computer in the Subtle Knife. Mary asks why she must find Lyra and Will, and Dust answers "because you must play the serpent"

Q. "How do I make the "a" and the "e" go together?"
A. To get the lower case æ, press and hold the alt key and press 0230 on the keypad. For uppercase, it's alt+0198. Or you can go into your word precessor and click insert, symbols and find the picture ("Æ"or"æ") and hit 'insert'. Of course, you could just copy and paste it from here... Æ æ
