“So what do you think made the two of you decide to go through with it?” Quatre asks Trowa and Wufei quietly as they watch the end of the first session’s taping.

“I’m not quite sure… but I bet the letter they received from Relena had something to do with it,” Wufei responds, arms folded and head drooping slightly.

    “What letter?” Quatre asks.

Trowa sighs and glances at Wufei, he thought the two of them had agreed to keep the letter from Quatre until later, but apparently Wufei had no real intentions of doing that. “The one that-”

The door opens and Duo strolls in with a wide grin on his face. “So, what did you guys think of the first tape?”

From behind him, a quiet voice says, “Duo, I really don’t think that after just one little five minute segment…”

    “It was ten, Hee-kun.”

“…ten minute segment they can tell how the episode will be.”

Duo pouts, turning to face his paramour and fiancé. “Spoil my fun, why don’t you,” he mutters, turning to face the guys.

Quatre holds Wufei’s gaze for a minute before turning a smile on Duo, “I think the episode will be a great success, Duo.”

“That’s great, Quatre, because you guys are going to be in the next part.”

“I don’t know how I feel about having your rehearsal dinner taped, Duo,” Trowa says quietly.

“Oh, you’re just worried about what they’ll ask you about our bachelor party, aren’t you, Trowa?” Duo needles his friend. “Don’t worry, I’ll make sure they keep those questions to a minimum. Besides, when it comes to that, there isn’t really much to tell.”

Trowa looks pointedly at Heero, who looks away from Duo and goes, if possible, even quieter. “Is there?” Duo asks, glancing between Trowa and Heero.

Quatre blinks, and turns to Wufei with a querulous glance. “Don’t look at me, Quatre, I wasn’t a part of that.”

“Heero… is there something you haven’t told me?”

“I think now might be a good time for you and I to leave the room, Quatre,” Wufei says, opening the door. Quatre nods, and abandons Trowa and Heero to Duo’s temper with a slight grin, hoping to get whatever Wufei had been about to say in the open with a couple minutes to speak about it in private.

“Definitely. Duo, when you’re done stripping Trowa of his confidence, would you send him by the restaurant to check on the reservations?”

“Certainly,” Duo responds, rolling up his sleeves a little and folding his arms on his chest. The door to the room closes quietly behind Quatre and Wufei, leaving the three ex-pilots in a quiet living room.

There is a long moment of silence in which no one speaks, and then Duo says, “I’m waiting for an explanation.”

“I threw Heero a bachelor’s party,” Trowa admits, glancing over at Heero, who somehow manages to maintain a detached and innocent look. “It wasn’t anything to be ashamed about, but you’ve got to admit that if anyone deserved one, it was Heero.”

Duo glances at Heero from under his bangs, and then at Trowa.

Heero arches a brow in response and starts to speak, but Duo cuts him off. “Ok.”

    “What?” Trowa blinks, incredulous.

“I said, ‘ok’. We’re getting married, Trowa, and I trust Heero.”

Trowa glances over at Heero, greeted with a blank, innocent face, he shrugs, and gets to his feet. “I’d liked to have helped plan it though,” Duo says in a somewhat quiet voice to Trowa as he passes on his way out the door.

“That’s more like an engagement dinner then,” Trowa responds, “From what tradition I know, it’s supposed to be a boys’ night out. Without the significant other involved.”

    “I know.”

“But then, this isn’t exactly the traditional arrangement, is it?” Trowa asks no one in particular as he gathers up his jacket and heads out.

The door shuts behind Trowa before Heero speaks up, “It’s not, you know.”

“I know,” Duo replies, crossing to sink down onto the couch next to Heero, where he leans his head on the strong, tightly muscled chest.

“Did you mean it?” Heero asks after a moment, fingers reaching up to brush Duo’s bangs to the side tenderly.

    “Mean what?”

    “About trusting me.”

“Of course I did. Heero… what is our relationship, without trust?”

“Really good sex,” Heero says in a low voice, and the two of them laugh as Quatre knocks quietly and enters.

    “What did I miss?”

“Heero’s usual wit and charm, nothing new, Quatre.” Duo responds, turning his head towards Heero to receive a lingering kiss.

“Um… right. Has the show called about the rehearsal dinner yet?”

As though the thought alone could cause the phone to ring, it does.

“That’s probably them now,” Heero remarks, still gazing intently into Duo’s eyes.

“Yeah,” Duo replies, one arm draped up and around Heero’s neck.

“You guys give me cavities,” Quatre says, reaching over to answer the phone.
