Episode 35

Are they cool, or what? Man, even I’m excited about next time. Perfect proof that the comic doesn’t always need a funny punchline. I hope I’m not alone in thinking this, of course. You CAN’T tell me it’s not cool.

Now I know Rei’s swords looked different before (in the ONE appearance they made before) but I changed them so they’d look better. So sue me. I did the same thing with the D.Lord. On the subject of weapons, if you’re wondering where in the world these weapons are coming from, keep in mind that in 8-bit form, our heroes (and villians) just “keep” them elsewhere. Remember back in January when Gram put away his sword and it was suddenly gone? Anyway, deal with it.

Sadly, there’s actually a really good close-up of the castle in that first panel, blocked by the text boxes. Maybe we’ll clip back to Iha for some random reason, just to show it later.

So that it’s for July!! Except for the bonus episode, of course. But I sure think it ended well. July was coming along so fast in the beginning, then I took a two and a half week break from it, and now it’s already the 24th. Oh well, at least I’m finishing before the month’s over again.

I just got Tim and Light’s responses from last month, and as I expected, the outtakes didn’t get any rave reviews. Outtakes number 3 & 5 (Trav forgetting his lines and “The Muffin”) were the only outstanding ones. Luckily, I already agreed with the opinions, so there’s really no use in speaking in my own defense. Next month I’ll have more bonus episodes, and hopefully I might even finish at least the last five episodes in September, though probably not any bonuses. I’ll need that extra month, though, If I plan on finishing this storyline with any kind of closure.

Wondering where Gram is? Well, keep wondering. He’s just way too important to bother with this stuff. And despite the fact I love his character, and his design, he just simply is too darn powerful. Maybe he’ll come back to the title page.
