the original bassist. matt is from arlington, virginia. during his time with weezer, matt added that certain something to the band, being very outgoing during performances and having an excellent stage presence. he left the band in 1997 to concentrate on his other project, the rentals. we haven't heard much from matt since the rentals' second album came out in 1998, but recently he's been at it again in california, so we'll see what's up sooner or later.
