"You're not shiny enough. And aren't you supposed to be prettier?"
       -Treneere

I've had so many requested and un-requested pictures of Pyrene and co, that I decided the best way to honour those people's efforts was to put up a gallery of them. That and the fact that I felt this page could do with being even more self-indulgent. Humour me.

Any more artists who want to draw Pyrene are welcome to! I try to distribute the pictures elsewhere around the site if appropriate, but this is the place to make sure every effort gets full credit. As well as Pyrene pics, I'd particularly like pictures of Kernow, Tremayne and Kynance, her other lizards. Actually, I'd like to see pictures of just about anything Pyrene related: pictures of Kernow Hold... illustrations of certain moments of her life.... caricatures... etc. etc.

Ethree on Pyrene, Gunwalloe and Poldhu This was the first picture drawn of Pyrene. In summer 98, Ethree showed those of us on SnowZone the picture she had done of herself and Wiranth. We were all greatly impressed, and when she offered to draw pictures of other people, I requested a picture of Pyrene and the two fire lizards she had Impressed at the time. So here we have Pyrene at just 12 turns of age, with Wal and Pol. Gunwalloe is the flying lizard, and Poldhu is the one perched on Pyrene's arm. Obviously these are the two who are seen in all my title graphics. Pyrene and firelizards is copyright Kelly Matten. Visit her gallery at Elfwood

Pyrene on Pyrene I'm no artist, but I do doodle. This face one day appeared on my pad, and I recognised it. Somehow or other, I'd drawn Pyrene. I added the hair (which is the only thing I can draw to order) and tweaked it a little until it was close enough to how I saw her. It's a little too pretty, and I couldn't get the nose, but this is more or less my vision of her in early adulthood. I've tried to draw her since, but this seems to have been a one-off feat.

After I Impressed, Sora took the above picture and added a golden Cadge-nose to it. And she coloured Py in. Too cute, no? Pyrene and Cadgwith are copyright Sora. See more of her pictures

Sora on Pyrene and Cadgwith (again!)Later Sora drew me this picture, featuring a little more of Cadge. Even cuter. Although why Pyrene's wearing blue in the picture, I've no idea. Again, copyright Sora. See previous pic.

Nuff brought her own brand of Cadgwith to the screen. And then emailed it to me! I adore this one. Bless! This is copyright Nuff.

Ilare on CadgwithSince Ethree had idled, we had been without a weyr artist... until Ilare came along! This is her picture of Cadgwith, the ugly-beautiful dragon. I adore the pose in this one, powerful, yet gentle. And a little Pyrene into the bargain. Copyright the hugely talented Ilare or Farli. See more of her HT pics

This one came with no warning. I just logged on one day and Ndi pasted me a link. I was dumbfounded when I saw it. This is undoubtedly my favourite conception of Pyrene so far. Copyright Ndi, now one of my favourite ex-brats. Previously, I detested her of course.

Lis on Cadgwith

Almost as soon as I Impressed, Lis promised to draw me a picture of Cadge. A year in the making, she finally finished it... All I can say is that it was worth the wait. A fantastic pose, plus all the elements of Cadge.... right down to her silver-shiny tail! The definitive Cadge pic. Copyright Lis. She used to have a working page of her scribblings, but that seems to have disappeared. Hint hint, Lis! Get your act together and put it back up!

Reiko on PyreneHow could I let Reiko get away with drawing half of HRW without drawing Pyrene? The answer is, I couldn't. So I pestered her, and got a few sketches, which I promptly critiqued to high heaven. Poor girl. She's patient though, and finally caught Pyrene in this picture... Pyrene as she was soon to be, a villainess in her increasingly jaded late twenties. I only realised later that she shouldn't have one eyebrow raisedshe can't raise one separately of the other. Dangit! Copyright Reiko. And if you think this picture is good, click here to be blown away.

Please note! The image of the lizard that I used in the title is copyright Kelly Matten, and was taken from the Pyrene and fire lizards picture. For all other graphics, check their respective descriptions.
