Imagawa Sadayo

1325 - 1420

Imagawa Sadayo, AKA Ryoshun, was the author of the "Nan-Taiheiki", a critique of the TaiHeiki which he wrote in 1402. He served under the 2nd Ashikaga Shogun, Yoshiakira. His father was a follower of Ashikaga Takauji, and was awarded constableship of Suruga province. Sadayo was sent by the Muromachi Bakufu to Kyushu as Tandai (intendant) in 1370. By 1381, he had subdued the local followers of the southern court. Shibukawa Mitsuyori replaced him as Tandai of Kyushu in 1395. He was an ancestor of Imagawa Yoshimoto.
