Adachi Yasumori

Adachi Yasumori was the chief of the Bakufu awards office after the Bun'ei (Mongol) invasion, and the father in law of Hojo Tokimune. He was opposed by and later killed in Hakata by Taira Yoritsuna, who claimed that he was ordered to attack Yasumori by the regent. This was known as the "Shimotsuki" (Frosty Moon) incedent, as it took place in the 11th month, the month of the "frosty moon" in 1285. He was a remarkable political figure and scholar of confucian classics and Buddhism. His second son, Adachi Morimune, replaced him as shugo of Higo province.
