Korlon's Gallery of Photoshop generated textures

Welcome to my gallery of photoshop generated textures. Below you will find samples of some of my work and research into generating textures. Textures can be used in many areas. Whether a simple texture for a desktop background, adding depth to cgi (computer generated images), or for a tiled background on a webpage.

I use adobe photoshop 5.5 for most of my editing needs. However I run the freeware image viewer Irfanview32 in the background to view the original images, copy from other images, crop photos, or just compare with other textures I have generated. Irfanview is an excellent program and has relatively low system resources for what it is capable of. Also the thumbnails on this page were created using Irfanview.

Textures
Texture	Description
	This is a black and white texture I created to use as crumpled paper or hewn stone. It can be colored usind some of photoshops advanced features.
	Another black and white texture. Used to create the illusion of granite or other rough stone.
	One of the first textures I played about with. Great for simple fabrics or can be used to create a papyrus-like effect as well.
	A blue hue endowed version of the above texture. Gives a nice simple illusion of denim.
	Remember those red cloth table clothes from picnics when you were a kid? Red sample of the above texture.
	A brushed metal texture I created.
	A blue more steel-like version of the above texture.
	This works as a close view of those square spikes bikers wear or applied as a greasy metal texture to an image.
	This is a fratual version of the above texture that I use as a desktop background tile.
	A Nice greasy corrogated metal texture
	A more tile version of the above texture for use as a web background or a desktop background.
	A nice shiny metal texture.
	Another desktop and web background. Actually an experiment with a fractal filter on an texture I had been creating. I have long since lost the original texture.
	A black snakeskin texture. Can also be used as a black textured metal.
	A friend challenged me to make a texture based on a tie-dye shirt she had. This is the result.
