Do you remember that day we went to the liquor store in first year? You took pictures, but I don't think I ever saw them. That was about a week before you moved in with Alanna and left the newfie bitch behind. You and Alanna seemed to get along well enough then. It's too bad how things turned out.
What did you buy to drink? Vodka? Maybe it was rum. I remember Alanna bought coolers and you thought that was funny. I bought beer. It was easier than trying to think of something to mix. You said you liked beer, but I don't remember you ever drinking any since the first time we met. I remember you laughed at me because I complained about how heavy the beer was on the walk back. You were swinging that plastic bag with your vodka in it and you hit me in the knees. And you wouldn't let me touch your camera. I can't blame you, since it was a fragile old 35 mm, but you didn't get to be in any of the photos.
You know, Dan and I were both crazy about you then. I think it would have been worse for us if you hadn't had a boyfriend. We might have started competing for you. Dan probably would have won, just because he could be with you more since he lived on campus. Josh really didn't like you. He couldn't figure out what we saw in you. But Dan and I talked about it and we knew. You were funny, and it was easy to talk to you. I think part of that was because you had a boyfriend. I think our friendship then would have changed drastically if you had suddenly been single.
I thought your boyfriend was a jerk, actually. I wished you would break up. That he would cheat on you while you were at school and you would come back heartbroken. I know you still manage to be friends with him. I don't understand that. But then I've only had one girlfriend and we had a messy break up.
I think I would have let Dan make the move if you had become single in first year. I didn't want to be the rebound relationship.
I think you were wearing pink that day we went to the liquor store. I remember when I met your boyfriend; he said he hated you in pink. I always thought you looked nice.
I wish we got together more often. I'd like to have a photo of us together.
