Dear Dee and Lisa,
Tonight, you're going to the barbeque and probably not eating anything since I imagine all the graduation committee will have bought is hot dogs and frozen hamburgers. I didn't get to go to our barbeque because I had to work, but I don't think I missed much. High school graduation was a big deal at the time. I don't regret the things I didn't do. The people I said goodbye to over and over again at the prom and at graduation aren't a part of my life anymore. I didn't choose to let them leave, but circumstances took us apart.
This is a time for closure, and you should enjoy it. Revel in the silly things you did and said in high school and remember them fondly. In a couple of years, you'll have forgotten half of it. You aren't the type of people who have your glory days in high school. Your glory days are just beginning. University is a great thing and in the course of it you'll meet a lot of people who'll be better friends just because what connects you will be bigger than high school. Don't regret things you can't change with your high school friends because it won't matter much soon. And soon will come a lot faster than you think.
