songs: fire escape - fastball, novocaine for the soul - eels, coming up roses - elliott smith
foods: greek salad, garlic bread, brie, pitas from the little place in the market
things to do: write in my journal, go for a walk where it's quiet, see a good movie, eat good food, get letters from a loved one
tv shows: buffy the vampire slayer, law and order, dawson's creek
colour: teal green
smell: bergamot, clean laundry
piece of clothing: plain white t-shirt
favorite summer things: going barefoot, eating popsicles
favorite winter things: snowballs, getting warm after being outside
favorite places: the market, my uncle's cottage, the port
the twelve days of xmas, according to my teachers
on the first day of xmas, my teacher gave to me a note for the day that i cuffed (cuffed meaning cut school where I come from)
2nd day: old exams
3rd day: days detention
4th day: day old donuts
5th day: walks to Prince Charles (another school)
6th day: pop quizzes
7th day: pigs dissected
8th day: doctor appointment cards
9th day: journal topics (somewhat ironic now)
10th day: broken pencils
11th day: paper spitballs
12th day: bonus marks
Lessons Learned - as posted on my white board December 1, 1999
1. never date a first year
2. stay away from the men's residences
3. stay away from the college chapel
4. stay away from boys with initials for names
5. a woman without a man is like a fish without a bicycle
6. men who use federal gun licenses as id because they don't have anything else probably aren't trustworthy
7. when guys say they just want to be friends, they are still attracted to you, but they are also afraid of you
8. whenever you decide you want no men in your life, ten immediately flock to you to seek your phone number, ask you out for coffee, or sniff your hair in french class
9. sometimes, it just doesn't pay to be nice to people
10. if a guy who is attracted to one of your friends, has 43 ex-girlfriends, including one who calls every day to offer to have a sex only relationship and he considers it, disregarding his current girlfriend, starts to make you with you, run away
11. don't date men whose names could also be names for sex acts
