a picture of meWhere to begin... Well, I'm a stay-at-home mom, living here in Georgia with my husband, Jamie, and one year old son, Corey. When my husband comes home from work, I head off to Augusta State University to finish up my Music Education Degree. I've already finished two years of credit so far, but since this is such a heavy degree and now I've got a family to look after, I know that I've got a loooong way to go.

What do I do in college with my music education? I'm a singer, mostly, but I also play the French horn in the orchestra. I've won some awards with my singing, mostly in competitions out of state, but I won a concerto competition my freshman year in college and got to sing the "Deh vieni non tardar" aria from "Marriage of Figaro" accompanied by an entire orchestra. That was pretty cool.

I've been doing arts all my life. I went to a creative arts elementary school, and when I moved to Georgia in 1992, I went to Davidson Fine Arts school, which accomodated fifth grade through senior year. I have to say it was the best that could have ever happened to me. There were so many opportunities in that school for success in any area of artistic expression...singing, dance, art, band, orchestra, drama, and so much more. I used to be an actress when I was younger, but my music began to outshine everything else, and I had to give up something. When band conflicted with my next level drama class in high school, I had to make a decision, and I just couldn't give up music. I figured that there was no better opportunity than the present to learn what I needed to know.

There really isn't much more to say about myself. Mostly these days, I'm in front of this computer when I put my son down for a nap. I chat a lot, work on this website, and do some other stuff. I suppose there's more I could say, but I like to have secrets...
