How quickly we can fall
From heaven to hell.
And there's no way to tell
Where this conversation is destined
To take us.
Repetitious problems never to subside.
Sitting at the edge of your bed
I can feel the pounding of thoughts
Running circles in my head.
I've never felt so vulnerable
At the intersection of heaven and hell.
With cold silences and impatient sighs.
I am at the mercy of your blue eyes.
Were we just prolonging death?
Interupting fate?
How quickly I can fall
For the words you create.
Tell me it's not too late.
I don't want to be your waste of time.
A fallen angel is desperate for her savior
And the taste of grace divine.
I am not ready to submit to these goodbyes.
I am at the mercy of your blue eyes.
Lies won't be able to replace what is true
Cause all I wanted to do, was just to feel you
.
And to stop counting the forgotten phone calls
Cause all I wanted to do, was just to feel wanted...
How quickly we did fall
From heaven to hell
And there was no way to tell
Where that argument was destined
To take us.
Forgotten feelings and final goodbyes.
I was at the mercy of your blue eyes.
