Darkness
Her mind was dark and heart was cold,
From surviving through this living hell.
Only she knew the terrors to be told,
Death loomed on the clang of a bell.
The dark night was a foreboding place,
Unknown horrors with every second,
Getting closer to her unchanging face,
They were always there, they always beckoned.
She sat in that same place every night,
Waiting for the evils that come too near,
And when those demons came into sight,
She was there to instil them with fear.
When it was over and they were dead,
She can go home to her family and friends,
To think things over in her head,
And for that night the story ends.
