Alric was born and grew up in Maedon, the son of a farming family, the thought of spending his life farming was terrible, and he wanted more from his life. At the age of fourteen he signed up with the Maedon Guard for five years, and became a competent warrior. When his contract came to an end he decided to join a mercenary group and travel. He was one of the founder members of the group to later become known as the Haven group. He adopted and trained a young Ardentian boy, who was fondly nicknamed Inchigh by the group. After the battle with the ancients Alric retired for a while, living a simple life in the woods at the foot of the crystal mountains, it was here he found a young wounded wolf, which he befriended and it became a life long companion. It was also here that he met Istara Firkin, with whom he has a daughter. Alric is currently semi-retired, spending time with his daughter and occasionally aiding the Haven Group if they ask him.
