Alfheim
In the eleventh century A.D. Bulls were still being sacrificed to the elves, their blood was poured into mounds which were believed to be the entrances the elven relam. The blood later became milk and it also became customary to leave milk outside the house for the elves. This practice persisited into living memory in Britain and Ireland and still happens in some areas.
