| WhythefuckdoesthisguyrambleonaboutNiceandBerlinsomuch?A good question, worthy of an explanation. The reason why, I mention Berlin and Nice so much in my archive of 2003, mainly is because it was my temporary home. As you will gather from my introduction to me I am studying French and German. In the UK, a necessary and obligatory part of such a degree is to spend a year in the country whose language you are studying. In my case, I spent the Winter semester in Nice, and the Summer the Humboldt-Universität in Berlin until September 2003. I liked Nice, sort of, although it is a fair hole. I loved Berlin. It is now time to pick up my pen as I have returned to London, where I have another academic year, and then in May/June 2004 I have my final exams (confusingly enough called 'Finals,') which, if I pass, gets me a degree - a terrifying prospect, meaning that I will be, like, a real person and not just a layabout student.
