A Mermaid, I Would Be
If I had my choice of who I would be,
It would be a mermaid, is what I would be.
Can you imagine a world so different than this?
To be able to relax, as you wish?
My world of tranquility and peace, it is to be,
For nothing to bother or interupt me.
As I lay here thinking of this...
I think of the world that has such bliss
You have heard the saying, grass is greener on the other side?
If this is the case, then let me abide.
So, if I had my choice of who I would be,
It would be a mermaid, is what I would be.

A Mermaids Wish
There is a place of tranquility for me
It's at the bottom of the deep blue sea.
My friends and I have been around
To see the beauty that surrounds.
As every child would gladly see
The world that fascinates them and me.
As I ponder of this place
I think of the quiet kind of grace
That seems to bring me so close to home
And yet I really can call my own.
So, my wish as a mermaid is as such
To have a place that I would love so much
So, see? There is a place of tranquility for me
It is at the bottom of the deep blue sea.
