Bella At Midnight by Diane Stanley

Bella At Midnight

Orphaned Bella has grown up in a humble comforting home, where she's spent her childhood seeking enchantment and tending a friendship to Prince Julian.

At 13, her world is turned upside down, when her father comes to claim her. Bella must deal with the fact that the people she grew up with were never her blood-family, as well as the idea that her life is about to become drastically different.

Bella has trouble adjusting to the expectations that come along with being a knight's daughter and trouble dealing with her step-mother and sisters. After a time she discovers her beloved friend Prince Julian's life might be in danger. Bella, whose spirit has not been subdued by her life's unwelcome changes, sets out to save him.
