The Changeling Sea Peri lives by the sea in a small house where an old woman used to live. She works in the local inn to take care of herself and holds a grudge against the sea for taking her father away. But as she starts designing hexes to throw into the sea, her world begins to take an exciting turn. The prince asks her to throw a special message in to the sea, and not knowing what it is or why, she does as he asks. Her hexes and the message seem to open an odd sort of communication between the sea and the people. First, there is a sea serpant that appears from nowhere wearing a gold chain. After the villagers call a magician into town to try to remove the chain (they are hungry for the gold), fishers start recieving hallucinations of many old myths and legends of the sea. Peri, the magician, and the prince must discover why these things are happening and what it is that the sea wants. This book should be wondering for those who love water. When I finished I set it town with an amazing sense of comfort in life and it's doings. |
