ElementsThere are 5 elements: When doing spells, chants, or rituals, you call the 4 quarters for power and protection. Each Tower is ruled by different seasons, spirits, and elements. The 4 Towers are East, South, West and North. When you call the WatchTowers and invite them into whatever you are doing, you correspond the 4 Towers with the Elements.
When you're doing a spell, it is important to make sure you have the right Tower as a bigger influence over the others in certain spells. Here's what each Tower represents: Here is 1 way to cast your circle, for those of you who don't know how. Ok, first things first. A circle is created with energy, and you are the director or that energy. Now when you pick the spot to do your circle, the most important thing is MAKE SURE YOUR HAVE ENOUGH SPACE! Breaking the circle is not exactly taboo, but it is very bad because you can leave a hole letting in evil spirits and negative energy. Now, being at North. Point your athame, wand, finger, or whatever you use towards the ground and see the energy flowing out. Begin to walk clockwise and walk the circumference of the circle. While doing this, image a circle forming on the ground and slowly rising over your head, expanding way above you. Half of it is above the ground, you are walking on a plane through the diameter, and the other half is below the ground. Ta da! The circle is cast. To close a circle, pick up your athame, wand, finger, or whatever you used to cast it and walk to the corner at which you started and begin at east. Point your directional tool at the boundry of the circle and begin to walk counter-clockwise until you complete the circle. While your doing this, imaging the circle coming down back into the ground and the power back into whatever you used. When you have finished, say "The circle is open, but unbroken." Elemental spirits are the embodiments of each individual element. Calling the Elemental GuardiansThis is what my friend uses to call the Elemental Guardians when she wants to invite them to the circle.
