In the manga, Honda is a bit of a tough guy, like Jounouchi. But in the anime he is portrayed as an honour student.

In the first anime series, Honda is ga-ga over Miho. He thinks of himself as Miho's guardian and will do anything she asks. But poor Honda doesn't realize, that Miho doesn't share the same feelings. He often goes love crazy over Miho and does very stupid things.
