The storyline of Yu-Gi-Oh is perfect for any gamer, because of its unique plot twists and turns. The main character himself is named 'Yugi' which translates into 'Game' or 'Play'. Yugi Mutou, is a freshman at Domino High School he's a puny litte guy, special in his own way. Sadly, poor innocent Yugi gets beat up quite often.
A day quite unkown eight years ago, his grandfather gave him an ancient Egyptian puzzle known as the "Millennium Puzzle", which can only be completed by the one chosen. Yugi was the one chosen, and he completed the puzzle. The Millennium Puzzle released the "Game King", who is a darker, and much more confident side of Yugi's persona. In situations where Yugi or his friends are in trouble, that other side of him takes over and protects Yugi and his friends. The Game King engages games to defeat his rivals whom are ignorant enough to accept his challenge.

The ingenius mind behind this awsome story is, Kazuki Takahashi. His imagination is seemingly unlimited which is pretty much impossible, but considering all the different games he's either created or adapted I guess it is.
