Pegasus is the main enemy in the Duelist Kingdom arc of the Yu-Gi-Oh series. This arc is found in Manga Volumes 7-15 and the first part of Yu-Gi-Oh: Duel Monsters.

As you can plainly see, Pegasus is an American and the creator of Magic and Wizards/Duel Monsters cards. Pegasus's plantium hair conceals a secret. He posesses a Millenium Item as well, The Millenium Eye. It has the ability to scan a person's mind.

The use of the eye coupled with his duelist skills, make him a formidable opponent. He managed to defeat Seto Kaiba and trapped his soul in a card.

Pegasus has had a sad life. He comes from a prominent family, so he lived in the lap of luxury. But in his teen to adult he lost his love, Cynthia. After that life was not worth living.

Soon after he found himself in Egypt doing artwork, where he met a young and mysterious Shadi, while attempting to save a man Shadi was chasing.

Pegasus followed Shadi and the man to a tomb, where he witnessed the power of the Millenium Ring, which is now owned by Bakura.

Shadi offered Pegasus the Millenium Eye, telling him that if he was accepted by the artifact he would be granted one wish. Pegasus reluctantly accepted the offer and had his right eye gouged out and replaced by the Millenium Eye. For a brief moment, he was reunited with his love.
