Iggy
1993 - 2001
Iggy was my first iguana.
I bought her from an exotic pet store in San Diego. We spent eight
wonderful years together, but her life was sadly shortened by complications
of renal failure combined with being gravid. Had she only had to
deal with just one of the problems, she might have made it. She was
a spoiled rotten iguana and went many places with me. Shes made an
apearance at two different schools and went with me to the Renaissance
Festival as a hands on herp for the Minnesota Herpetological Society.
Iggy enjoyed atention from many curious little kids. She was four
feet long and weighed seven pounds which is pretty good for a female.
