Osiris
God of the underworld. He is married to Isis who
is also his sister.
Osiris was killed by his jelous brother Seth. Seth captured
him in a coffin and sent
him down the Nile river. Isis discovered the body and brought it back.
His body was
again discovered by Seth and he chopped him in peices and once again into
the Nile.
Isis searched all of Egypt for the peices and was able to put them together.
Osiris
symbolizes nature and afterlife. He is also the god of vegetation.
Sprouted plants in tombs
where used to syblolize the life after death.
