Why is it that some animals classified into an imaginary hierarchy depending on location? I'll tell you why, because humans like it when things are complex. As if life isn't complicated enough, add to it the fact that the lion is the so called king of the jungle. What is the reason for crowning the lion king of the jungle? Is there a democratic process to this classification system? And is there a queen of the jungle or would that be a lion too? Where do the elephants rank? Is there a king of the ocean? What about a king of the arctic? So many questions, so few answers.
