Just wandering...
January 22, 2004
We didn't really have anything planned this day, so we just spent the day relaxing. We slept in a bit, then after breakfast we decided to go to a local park I'd found in my map book. After that, we just kind of wandered around the Asagaya and Ogikubo area. It was a good enjoyable walk... Mom lead us along with her book, got us lost with her book, then somehow got us un-lost with her book. |

Going into the park. |
Eleanor found a tire swing. ^-^ |
We enjoyed watching this old man doing his morning exercises. |
One reservation I had about visiting Japan was that I'd heard that smoking is more common there. I was quite pleased to find that many public places were smoke free. Signs, such as this one, were common on the sidewalks throughout Tokyo. |
This is a pet care shop, but it was
closed on Thursdays. |
I just liked the houses on this street. ^-^ |
The Japanese equivalent of a mail
truck. |
Yes, even in Japan, people don't always obey the signs... |
Right or left? |
|
Right at the vending machines and grocery store... |
Then left at the next fork. |
