Because of both the tall frames of the High Elves, and the Lord of the Sky, the Maia’Edhel are normally taller than most of their other Elven cousins.  The average height of a Maia’Edhel is roughly six feet.  Most have rather fair, pale skin, keeping true with the High Elven traits.  However, some of the males, and even some of the females are a dark tan color, going along with the Angelic blood.  However, the Maia’Edhel remain lithe and fast.  They are thin and tone, enabling them to slip through the forests or soar quickly through the skies.

Most of the Maia’Edhel have long hair, something they take great pride in.  The colors range from all shades of black, brown and blonde, the normal colors of the Elves and the Angels.  Never has a Maia’Edhel had red or other strange colors of hair, although white is not such a rarity.  Most Maia’Edhel wear their hair either down, with several small braids, or up in ponytails at the top of their heads.  Some thread rings through the hair, which is also commonplace for the Mages.

The wings of the Maia’Edhel vary greatly.  For the males, the wingspan varies between ten and fifty feet, while females vary between five and twenty feet.  Because of the more dominant genes in the males from the Lord of the Sky, the wingspans are larger.  Most of the feathers are soft to the touch, although certain Mages have discovered spells keep the feathers lightweight, but turn them into hard substances.  The colors vary as well.  Most females have light colored, soft tone colors, with few designs on the feathers themselves.  The males, on the other hand, have darker, bolder colors, and the feathers are often streaked or have some form of a design.

Like both the High Elves and the Lord of the Sky, the Maia’Edhel eyes are very keen.  And, like their wings, the Maia’Edhel eye color varies a great deal.  Shades of blue, green, brown, gray and red are common, while black and white are rarities.  It is said that only the most powerful of Maia’Edhel have pure white eyes, and only the most evil have full black.

Because of the wings the Maia’Edhel posses, and the fact that they virtually refuse to speak to other races unless in dire need, the Maia’Edhel clothing is rather simple.  Plain colors with only a few designs or “extras” are the most common.  Many males wear simple sandals or go barefoot.  They also wear either a simple pair of pants, or a loose tunic, and often go without shirts so their wings are not restricted.  Females often wear light dresses with open backs to allow free movement of their wings, and either wears sandals or go barefoot.  However, it is not uncommon for a female to wear pants and simple shirt, also with an open back, to keep their wings free.  The Mages, on the other hand, wear robes with occult symbols and designs, with small slits cut in the back to allow some movement of their wings.
