~AUTUMN'S LITTLE CORNER~
~OF THE WORLD~

Hi and welcome to my world! Glad you could pop in and visit! The purpose of my site is to let those friends I've made on the net, get to know me better and also to satisfy in me, a need to write & create! When I first built this site, I was fairly new to this, but being online now for a little over 12 years, it's enjoyable to look back and see how it all got started.

My first experience online was on a WebTv Unit and for all the complaints that popped up about that little unit~ I for one have to admit that I'm very happy that technology made it possible for those who are not into computers, to access not only the adventures that the internet brings, but also to meet a large array of people, that many ordinarily may not have had the good fortune of meeting without it. I've met tons of people, from all walks of life, not only many States, but different Countries also! Amazing how through computers and cyberspace, we all become equal, no matter where we're from, what we possess or what we look like. If only someday the world were like that in person!
Hat's off to "SOMEDAY"!

So let me get on with the business of telling you about me!
I am of Yaqui, Chumash and Apache Indian Decent. I was born in Northern California and raised in the Southern part. I relocated to Rhode Island in 1987 and I never imagined ever wanting to leave New England!
However after meeting my Ken, we decided together to make the move to Colorado where I had lived before and remembered loving it so much. Well, things change over time and so I found that the Colorado in my mind wasn't the one we arrived at. Still, as long as we're together, we can live anywhere.

I've been described a down to earth, level headed, but fun loving person. But if you ask me, I'm multi faceted and can adapt to any circumstance! I enjoy the simple things in life, knowing first hand that money can't buy you love or happiness. I enjoy doing free-Lance photography. However, only nature pics, not people! I have done everything I have set out to accomplish in my life SO FAR. This includes, being a Veterinarian's Assistant, a Model, traveling and working with Native Americans in Colorado back in the 70's. I love fishing, horseback riding, the beach and the beautiful mountains of California, in particular the Sierra Madres.

However, Colorado was my first adopted home while still living in California so perhaps that's how we ended up here.

Through my life, I had 3 things I wanted before the end of my life. That was to once again live in Colorado, own a Jeep to drive along the mountains roads and forests and live in a log cabin. Well my sweetheart made that all happen for me!

The only other thing that was missing was my Chelsea knowing her real father, but that too happened not long ago and it's been such a blessing to not just her, but all of us! God really does know what we need and when!

What I respect in others is above all, honesty. With this comes trust, and with that comes all else. What is honesty? It is being true to yourself and being happy with who you are. If you aren't happy with who you are, then by all means, being honest means changing the things about you....so that the real you shines thru. You'll never please all the people in your life, so #1 Priority should be yourself.

Down to Earth and well grounded people are ones I enjoy keeping in my company. However, what a dull life it would be if everyone were the same, therefore an array of crazy, silly and zany characters are found in my book of friends! A big sense of humor is also needed...since there is no such thing as too much laughter in my book and being too reserved just makes you stuffy!

I enjoy my time alone when hubby is off at work, since that's the time I can use on crafts and such. Together we enjoy going on hikes and exploring our surroundings. We consider ourselves hermits and have found contentment in each other's company, so we don't really have that many close friends.

Online, we both have friends that have become very close to us, a few quite like family! In real life, I keep very few close friends, if any at hand and am rather shy about wanting too many people around me. My current Friends, both online and off are an array of wonderful, fun loving, caring and sensitive people, coming from all walks of life. RESPECT for one another being our common bond.

The most influential and important people in my life at this time are my dear husband Ken who has proven he loves me unconditionally, my son Tom who is always there to listen and keep my spirits up, and Brian who is my best friend and my Chelsea's father, who has shown me what a true, loving father is really like and of course our Chelsea, who has always been my inspiration to continue with life, knowing that all things happen when they are meant to. Through both her and her dad, I've learned that love is not selfish or thinking of ones self first. Without her, life would have no meaning as far as I'm concerned! She was surely a gift from above, during a time when I wouldn't have been able to go on alone.
I love all of your guys!!

When striking up new friendships online, an old, standard question is asked~~ "What kind of things do you like and dont' like?".... so here I thought would be a good place to write about the things that mean the most to me~~ and if by chance by reading this, you come to find that we have some things in common~ then looks like we're off to a great start~!! So...onto the things that make me SMILE~!!!

The things I like most~~ Autumn of course~! And then Winter, with it's beautiful white mantle of snow, which brings to mind the Wonders of unselfish Love and Innocence~! Rain, accompanied by its glorious thunder and lightning~! The smell of Freesia, which takes me back to another time and place.
I love reading Medieval Fantasy books, with their ever present reminders (at least to me~!)... of past lives and loves.

My favorite time of Day would not be day...but instead...the time when the Moon shows herself to us, in order to give us guidance and strength in our endeavors.... Give me a healthy dose of MoonLight anytime~! The movie that most caught my heart is 'Somewhere In Time'...if only we could have a second chance...would we? And my most favorite spot to hang out, would be mine and Chelsea's speical Fishing Spot, with the Whispering Winds blowing thru the fragrant Pines and rippling over the waters like a free floating Spirit that comes to renew in us a love for life.

So there you have it~! The 'Happy-Go-Lucky' side of me! However, to understand what makes me appreciate my friends and what kind of a friend I in turn can be, there has to be an unveiling of the things that upset and disappoint me. I doubt any of us can say that there is simply NOTHING that we dislike, so in conclusion to my effort in letting my Friends get to know me, I will here fill you in on the things I really dislike and why.

Life is too short to spend trying to be someone or something we're not. Each of us is unique in our own way, therefore in my book, there is no room for impostors. Why try outdoing the Jones' when the Jones are always trying to out do you? A vicious, never ending cycle.

Malicious gossip can have devastating effects, not just on the one whom it is directed at, but those who innocently stand by.

People who often play with others hearts, not thinking thru the consequences of their words and actions, maybe because knowing how to treat matters of the heart, would mean you would first have to have one yourself?

People who don't think before they speak and therefore allow their words to cut like knives to the heart of our souls~~Even a mere tear in ones soul is a hard thing to mend. Lets all be mindful of how we speak to one another.

Disrespect for Our Mother Earth. Where would we be without Her? Where will we go if we do not see to it that She is taken care of and preserved?

Cruelty to Animals. We are the Guardians of the Wild...who but us can see to it that these Creatures, Great and Small will be here for Future Generations?

Love of Money. Only a shallow, empty person can be bought. So the BIG question in my mind would be:
Do we really want to be in this catagory and miss out on the deeper meaning of life and the opportunity to know how to truly appreciate what we do have???
