It has been nearly a year to the day since this was last updated. Well, as some may know, the plans to rerecord and release the "Tears of Astaroth" fell through. And unfortunately, Mordrid has been so caught up in shows with Torture Cell and working out their forthcoming (fingers crossed) CD that he has had little time to spend on Cothurnus. There are some new songs that have been written and hopefully will be recorded over the summer.
Other than that, Mordrid has finished all the songs for what will be the first Seventh Circle CD (I'll get around to making that website too). Right now it looks like seven (maybe eight) songs. They will all be rerecorded then sent off to be duplicated and manufactured. I'll do my best to stay current.

Cothurnus shall be rewriting, recording, and rereleasing the original "Tears of Astaroth" CD. Mordrid has been hard at work cleaning up and improving old songs as well as writing plenty of new material.
In other news, Mordrid became the vocalist for the great death metal act Torture Cell last summer and is currently playing shows all over with them. Torture Cell will also be entering the studio soon.
Mordrid is also beginning another project called The Seventh Circle. This will be an acoustic exploration. All clean vocals as well as instrumental tracks, it will be a nice departure from the norm. More news about The Seventh Circle coming soon.
