Some people live closely guarded lives, fearful of encountering someone
or something that might shatter their insecure spiritual foundation. This attitude,
however, is not the fault of religion or following but of their own limited understanding.

Trivial thoughts, unimportant thoughts, when followed they distract
the mind, cloud vision. Not understanding those thoughts the roaming mind runs
back and forth as lost as a stray dog. But by understanding those thoughts one ardent
and mindful restrains the thought process and reins it mindfully. An awakened
one has overcome them completely. So they do not arise to distract the mind ever.
