What a heartbreker to lose. The Leafs jumped into first place with their victory tonight. Never in all my years of watching hockey have I seen a team get more goals off of the defense's body parts... My hand, Bruce's shaft (of his hockey stick), Eddie's head. This team seems to have redefined the words lucky bounce. They should be thanking their lucky stars that they didn't lose last night, cause they certainly deserved to lose. What really peeves me is that we didn't even have our best game, we certainly showed the rust from not having played in 3 weeks. The last 3 minutes of the game were certainly the most exciting as well. We were down by two goals and managed to put one in the net with little time to go... too bad we couldn't have played that aggressively during the whole game, we'd have been unstoppable. I would say that the officiating sucked, but hey, thats just a given these days. Outstanding players were; Jeff Buccholz, of course another hat trick. Brian always seems to fumble around and get in on the goals with 3 assists and made a few good defensive plays. And of course the addition of old time hockey to our roster certainly hasn't hurt our chances of breaking out of our shell here. Talent is abound and when we pull it togethere, I'd venture to guess that we'd be unstoppable. Let's stop now for a minute of silence to reflect on Jeff Schools' nose. Ok. Join us next week for our 9:30 game against Kinetic. Should be a good one.
